Opener: No one. Will, don't bother finishing this if you had any intention to. I'm sorry everyone else in the match, I just didn't have any time or energy to write you guys a match. I might end up going back and adding a more detailed summary, because I do feel bad you guys were gypped.
Tag Match: Lita
Casket Match: Sid
DC Match #1: Seph
FSC Match: YT
Tag Titles Match: Sid
UIC Match: Sid
Hellcats Title Match: Lita
DC Match #2: Sid

Segments were done by YT, Seph, Marc, Lita and myself.

Sorry to who asked me to do a segment with them, you know who you are. I wanted to, but didn't have time to between everything and I was too exhausted to try to get it done during our unexpected extended break before the show was posted.

Hall of Fame incoming.

Card incoming.

Rise of a Legend card incoming.

News blurps incoming.

Thoughts?

Everything went pretty much as I expected it to. Still, it was a fun show.

FSC was bummer but not a surprise. I've had days to prepare myself. Wight did an incredible job on the match and I appreciate how good he made Johnny look despite losing. Congrats to the Boy. He's one of my favorite people and as much as I prefer Mr. Intensity, his near undefeated streak here speaks volumes of his talent with Kursur.

Happy to see the Sharks get the Tag titles back. The match was written crazy awesome. I loved the vase conchairto spot. Harley getting the win was all kinds of great. I pictured him so adorable in his celebration.

Rougarou/Nemesis was just a wreck, in all the good ways. Anxious to see where this is going.

Congrats to Marc on the DC. So deserving and I'd say long overdue. It's great to see Mad Dawg finally holding the top belt around here after everything Marc has done for this place.

I hope everyone enjoyed what I was able to do with their matches. I feel like the Hellcats title match was better written of the two I did. I wish I could have done more for both, but I kind of set myself up for failure with expecting to write on my birthday. Usually I don't do anything on my birthday. This year had to be different.

The FSC match was a complete surprise to me. I've spent the last week absolutely sure I lost. Thank you Lita for one of the most simultaneously fun and nerve wracking roleplaying experiences I've had in a long time. Johnny is a magnificent character and while I have no idea how I just won our match, I'm going to do my best to make sure I don't squander either the win or the glorious match Wight wrote for us. That was such a fun read for so many reasons besides the result.

All the matches that were there were great, I need to get the right out front, but for me the stand outs of the night (aside from my match, which was the best obviously) were the casket match and the 2nd DC match. The casket match was an ugly war in the best sense of the phrase, and that ME was just a very well written match that did a lot to showcase both characters and how far they were willing to go (each in their own way) to have the top spot.

Oh, I meant to mention. The FIW Awards. Not sure how anyone else wants to play them, but outside of the massively fourth wall breaking ones like Writer of the Year, I consider them in universe too. Figure FIW announced them on the website after the show and presented the winners with their awards afterwards too.

If any of you want to reference or use them in your upcoming RPs.

I enjoyed the show. Some things went how I thought they would, some things did not. Honestly expected Carner to walk out of NS with the titles, for example. Glad to see Jim pick up a big win. He deserves it.

Thank you for actually providing feedback on the match. It took the entirety of my Thursday evening to write because I knew no matter how much polish I put on it, in the end it was going to make one of my closest friends sad. I've written 20-page epics before that have left me feeling less exhausted, but my work was appreciated so that helps a lot.

Anyhow, I said a while back I'd do character feedback at every PPV, so, here we go.

The Brick Sharks - Lita continues to have a great grasp of these characters, keeping them dynamic and interesting, and telling good stories with them while still keeping them within their gimmick. I well and truly enjoy The Brick Sharks as a team, always a delight to read.

Cody McGinnis - I was hoping dropping Katsu Shun would give T more time to give Cody stuff to say. What he's done is good work, if short, but in the grand scheme of things he's not really putting out enough content to compete at the level his writing is at. It's an issue of great quality but mediocre output, and it's really REALLY hurting the character. Maybe put Cody on the shelf for a bit? Send him to Rising so he can still interact with Grimm? You seemed to be writing more with Katsu and it was getting very interesting there. Play to your strengths. That last RP was really great stuff though. I dunno, if you felt like you could turn out that kind of work on a regular basis, you've got it made.

Erik Holland - Despite some missteps, I think Will has really brought Holland back on track where he belongs. His work for Nensai Senjou felt much more organic and rang much more true to what I've always loved about the character; the very grab-you-by-the-balls honest grittiness of an ECW promo, or even a modern indie promo. Let it be a lesson for everyone; the e-fed doesn't stop moving just because you're gone. People change roster position, your own importance decays as the weeks roll by without your character around, and characters themselves change quite a bit. Once Will realized that and got his shit in gear, dropped his other characters for the time being, I think it was a great move and I look forward to seeing that Holland of old again in upcoming weeks.

Gus Richlen - I don't know what to think of this character anymore. It's clear to me that Sticky just got a little carried away with blurring the line between in-and-out of character (THANK CTHULHU) but with Richlen himself I'm really having a hard time seeing where he's coming from. Even if he were a heel, there's just no foundation to what he's saying. He's making assertions but there's no evidence to back it up. "Johnny Amazing is a fake." OK, fine, but WHY is he a fake? What is he doing that makes Gus think he's disingenuous or not deserving of the FSC? Too often the answer is some permutation of "he just is" and I think that's where a lot of the weakness in your writing is coming out. The same goes for other characters he says stuff about that just... doesn't seem true? We need to know WHY he thinks the way he does for us to understand where he's coming from and appreciate him as a character, whether that be as a misunderstood guy just trying to do his best or as a self-important asshole who won't take the blame for his own shortcomings. That said, the amount of content you've been pouring out is inspirational. If you can sand off the flash from the edges of your character I think you've got a solid path forward. You've already made VAST improvements in a lot of areas I spoke of last PPV.

Johnny Amazing - This guy needs to move up the card. I love him as FSC, I do, but he's a giant among gnomes, and Lita just keeps polishing that character's luster.

The BWC - Jim doesn't need me to blow more smoke up his ass. I think he's fucking phenomenal and if I had my druthers he'd be dripping with title gold.

Mad Dawg - Mad Dawg has been performing at a very consistent pace. The only drop-offs I'm noticing are in RP frequency/magnitude. Otherwise he's still the same funny, passionate, demented, and delightfully complex character we've seen for the last year. Keep up the good work; you've obviously earned your lofty status as Dual Crown Champion. You've just gotta keep up the throughput to keep it.

Mungrel - Has the same problems as Mad Dawg, but a little sharper. He's a great character, but that output is just killing me sometimes. The man will make a series of great fucking points, paint such an awesome picture, but it's all he does and his opponents are writing circles around him. Do what you're doing, but more.

Douglas Greater Spencer Chamberlain - I like him. Seph's numerous characters make it difficult to place him, but I really really dig him. I like his gimmick. He puts a smile on my face most weeks. Honestly, the only thing holding him back is... Seph has two other solo wrestlers who are also really good.

Tommy Tyler - I dig this guy. A lot. It seems like every other RP he gets more and more heat and momentum, and I come around more and more on liking his shit. I wouldn't mind seeing him heading toward the FSC when Johnny finally ascends to something greater. I don't have a wealth to say, but I like what I'm seeing a lot. It's such a departure from your last character(s) and yet you're writing it so well, so kudos to that!

Cage Murdock - He's a weird dude, but I really dig him. He's the Seth Rollins to Carner's Randy Orton, I feel. Sure, Randy still has it but what the fuck is his gimmick anymore? Cage is focused. He's streamlined. He's smart, snarky, strong, and funny. That's what Neo Carner is as an archetype, but I feel like Cage pulls it off a little better. I also dig how he mixes it up with the rest of the roster, faces, heels, you name it. A perfect fit for GAG, and has plenty of room to go places once Carner isn't overshadowing him.

Depicting Sorrow - Part of the reason I dropped Zenobia instead of sticking it out for a while is I realized I was ripping off Gray's gimmick more than I thought. So, obviously I dig it. I'd dig it a little more if he stuck with it. Since Keith Williams left Depicting Sorrow has kinda become The ReVenants II : This Time The Monkey Talks, and I don't think that's a good progression for them. I like them more as cultured and artsy, rather than walking in well-trod footsteps. It at least made them unique, even if I'm not fond of the pairing in general.

Kursur - Is it weird that I feel like Kursur is at his best here in FIW? He was the soul of NGIW for so long and now he's... I dunno. Just performing so immaculately here. It really helps that everyone is doing such a great job of putting him over; making him look like a credible villain. Anyhow, I can heap praise on The Boy in our own time.

Nathaniel Alexander/Stephen Eversol - I'm sad to see the output for these guys decline the way it has. They're both fantastic writers, there just isn't much being said by these characters. Eversol is an offensive heel, and he does it well. He's the kind of heel you want to see fail, as opposed to the kind that makes you want to change the channel. I applaud Steve for pulling that off so well. Nathaniel is also obviously a heel, but... a little quieter compared to Eversol. Still, I think the gimmick Eversol was running before all the drama made such waves is worth revisiting at some point. Steve was really onto something and the character was becoming REALLY likeable. Nathaniel on the other hand... I think he needs something fresh. Some new facet to his character, or a major feud to show us a side of him we haven't seen. I know both guys are capable of it. That last Eversol promo was really fun, btw. Really dug it. Once you get momentum, man.

Nemesis/Avila - As I said last time, GM characters and Sid seems to know what he's doing with them. Not much else needs to be said, really.

Neo Carner - At this stage in his career, Neo Carner reminds me of my original Tier character, Scott Kaiser. He's been through so much... embodied so many different personas that he's... a little tired. A little rough around the edges. Seph still manages to shine light on him, put life into him, but I think the quality of content is more than matched by Cage and Spencer Chamberlain. Even Sorrow. You might wanna consider putting him on the shelf at some point in the future, at least temporarily. It sure as hell doesn't have to be NOW or anything... or fucking ever, I mean, it's your character. Do what you like. But your ideas are so more coherent for everyone else you're playing and I think the presence of Neo Carner at the top of your Food Pyramid of Wrestlers is keeping them from being able to shine as much as they should.

Nick Riot - The longer things go on the less I really understand what Nick Riot's about. That makes me feel bad because I really liked him at first, but there's just something that's not clicking with me with this gimmick. I get it, I'm just not sold on it. I don't believe in it. I wish I had something specific to recommend to make me believe, because I'm sure you could accomplish it; you're a talented enough writer. But I'm not sure what that bridge is, exactly. Sorry. :( I really liked the stuff you posted on Twitter and in the Valentine's thread. Maybe I need to look at this character in another light.

Bisenshi Sakura - Dai is a being of pure fire; a veritable Promethus bringing the light and cleaning up shop. This is some of the top shit I've seen from him, and it's with a character I always REALLY liked, so I'm basically sold on everything she does. She's complex, and well-executed. She has a lot of background stuff going on, but Dai seems to know when to push it to the side for the sake of Other Things. Good fucking work.

Brittany - Brittany reminds me of a face Kim Coulter. She's not necessarily the star, but she's a star-maker. She helps other people be better by being an accessory to their awesome. Could Lita break free from that and become Queen of the Hellcats? Easily. But I respect the restraint and I really enjoy the character being there to help others shine.

Helena Handbasket - WOW. I know Zombie Black likes to namedrop Bloodbath, but really Adam, keep up the good work with Helena. We don't need Bloodbath while she's around. She has kind of a goofy name, but she's otherwise such a solid, REAL-feeling character. I even like her social media presence, taking selfies and stuff. She feels like a real wrestler, similar to how Jim does with the BWC. Fantastic work; keep it up.

Kellyn - I'm starting to come around on Kellyn! this cycle added some much-needed depth to the character, and I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes in the future. I'm sorry I don't have more to say but it's kind of a waiting game to really have any feedback. Keep going; you have my interest.

Mercedes Blackwell - Dropping the Dora thing instantly made Mercedes one of my favorite Hellcats and lent her so much more credibility, style, and class. I really really dig her and I'm always happy to see her in an RP today. I like that she doesn't always make friends easily and she's also fiercely independent in that she won't back down from her opinions or morals just to kowtow to someone else. She's got a lot of spine and integrity. I dig it.

Oi! I wanna thank whoever moved all of Jo's characters' bios to the Former Talent section so promptly. It was a chore to find them for writing the matches. <_<

2nd shortest reigning DC in history...Neo knew he would legendary! In all honesty actually winning the DC outweighs the feeling of losing it. It was great doing Mungrel vs Neo II, hope it lived up to expectations. Mad Dawg vs Neo was a nail biter, perfect built up suspense and it was a blockbuster! Congrats to Mad Dawg, if anybody deserves this it's him. He's poured his heart and soul into this place and it's a very justified win.

Bummer Cage's match ended up like his entrance. I feel everybody involved put out some great material and they deserved a match for their hard work. I honestly felt everybody involved was top notch. Cody McGinnis' last promo was a phenomenal! Nick Riot is an interesting character and found myself fascinated with his work. Gus is becoming a bit of a whining cry baby and it's not endearing. I say tweak it up a little, humble him or he's going to damage himself.

Depicting Sorrow vs Brick Sharks was a wonderful match, very well written by Writer Of The Year! Sucks to lose, but it's a sign that The Brick Sharks are becoming unstoppable! They're great characters and I'm glad to see them holding the titles because I can see them doing great things for the Tag Team Division.

Johnny Amazing and Kursur was a very solid affair, very well written and executed perfectly. Nothing against my GAG comrade who I feel is a very twisted and dark individual with a lot of depth. I just like Johnny is our bright up and coming baby face who needs to look Roman strong! Congrats to the new champ Kursur, who Boy writes perfectly.

Rougarou keeps me invested, the Nemesis/Rou story can go on all year and I'll be happy.

Hellcat match was a grand spectacle! Congrats to Dai who has such a firm grasp on Sakura and makes her SPARKLE~

sid,

i did have intention of finishing the six way and was just about to sit down and write it when i saw all of this. im really sorry to everybody involved, i didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night because I have had completely plugged sinuses for the last week, had to go to work in that condition because there is nobody to cover me, and today i am feeling even worse with all over body aches and stomach pain. Ive spent the majority of the day in bed and have only really
gotten up to eat soup.

it's a bummer for me too because I had a bunch of plans for this match that i am evidently not going to be able to do now. I am again sorry.

Well...that tag match was certainly a one-sided affair if ever there was one. I mean I'm glad it didn't reach Oni levels of departures but it did tend to cut it incredibly close in some areas. I mean I wasn't expecting the long walk with scores of fans chanting their names, but can't say I'm too keen on this type of departure. I'm certain it wasn't Lita's doing, because there was that tiny spark from Catherine, so to whomever decided this was the best way to cap off a departure...thanks. BTW, loads of sarcasm in that right there.

On that note, I didn't mind too much the Hellcat match. The assault Terri took was good on her departure given her long standing heel status. I'm glad enough of my request got into the match and was certainly hoping to hear back from Sid on it since Monday. By Wednesday I just said screw it, what's the worse that can happen? And just posted the RP anyway so I'm glad that it still made it there. Also, side note, not that it's a big deal since someone couldn't wait until after the show to move the bios, Stacy doesn't have an "e". Small gripe, nothing to hold against anyway, but figured I'd point it out. Sorry.

Alright, that's it from this guy. I do apologize for dropping the tag match and appreciate Lita for picking it up, please don't construe my negative feelings toward it of any indication of dislike toward you or any others. Well...maybe the ones who thought it'd be a great idea. To the rest...I'll see you guys when I see ya. I don't do yahoo or yippee too often, clearly, but I do still frequent Pet's twitter and I do get PM notifications if you ever just wanna talk or whatever as I don't exactly know what kind of shadow I can be. :)

Party on,
Joe.

I wasn't told to bury Catherine or Blink, if that's what you're implying. I simply had to rush a match I didn't have time for. A match where two people were leaving and two people were staying. I tried not to squash them, but I didn't have the time for a lengthy back and forth. I apologize if it felt like I squashed them. I did my best to write it with the story that Nathaniel, Helena, and Kim were working as one major heel unit. Nathaniel is arguably bigger and stronger and more seasoned than everyone in the ring, which already puts Coulter Crew ahead of the game. Then you add Kim at ringside who has made a career out of being the X-factor in her client's matches. Then you factor in Helena who is the perfect little soldier with a blood lust. It was Catherine's story so I focused on her getting the spotlight of what I was able to write in the time I had. Unfortunately that left Blink as the crash test dummy but as a super babyface that's kind of her wheel house.

And just an FYI, Hitchen was partially correct. Kim opting not to Curb Stomp Catherine into the canvas was a show of respect, sort of. Kim is sticking around so I couldn't break character with her like that and be able to continue on. But I wanted to show you some form of farewell respect for everything you've done. We've worked together a lot and for better or for worse there have been some fun times. Thank you.

Really quick, I want to say THANK YOU!

THANK YOU SID for Rougarou/Nemesis - incredible. Loved it SOOOOO much. Everything with it, beginning to end, was great. I was very happy with it.

THANK YOU WRITERS! I know I said it already but you're the lifeblod of the fed.

THANK YOU LITA for writing matches ON YOUR BIRTHDAY!

THANK YOU VOTERS for electing Lucas to be babyface OTY, Butch his 2nd Manager OTY, Lucas & Silas duo OTY and the other awards. The year end awards are one of my major motivations to write and I'm very happy and excited to have won (or co-won w/ Sid) so many prominant awards . It truly means a lot to me. :)

THANK YOU ROSTER for roleplaying a shit ton this past cycle and being such great writers.

THANK YOU WIGHT AND KNIGHT for liking my Silas roleplay. It was fun to write, but I still feel like it could've been better. But considering the circumstances it was written under, it was still better than it had any right to be.

THANK YOU FANS of Rougarou vs Nemesis and the fans of Silas' present story arc. I never envisioned writing Silas venting to his girlfriend or taking a turn for the heelish when I created him, I probably wouldn't have written stuff like this with him in 2014 but I've had a lot of fun experimenting and I'm glad so many people have enjoyed it. I can't wait for the swirling madness in my brain to finally travel through my fingrtips and onto the roleplay forum because I'm confident you'll all like it. :)

And now... CONGRATS MARC! I'm so HAPPY fo you! You deserved the DC and now you finally got it. :) YAY!

ONE CRITICISM - Lots of NGIW history dropped this cycle, but my last NGIW roleplay was in 2006, so I really had no idea what a lot of people were talking about. :/ The NGIW board is still up, why not post links in your roleplays to bios and key events so those of us who are uninofrmed can be caught up? I believe Boy did in one roleplay, so he gets a cookie.

More thoughts later... hopefully.

Like to take a moment to thank Wight for taking time to provide me with feedback. It's nice to be noticed.

OK, I'm going to say this right now: where in the world does ANYTHING I say come across as being a "whiny crybaby"? Because that is most certainly not anything I've written, and I'm getting tired of that accusation.

How many times have you been accused of it?

No offense, but there may be a disconnect with what you're writing and how it's being read by everyone else. You may need to try something different if it's not getting across the way you mean it to. Just something to look into if you're getting a lot of accusations of your character being a whiner.

I haven't read the entire show just yet, but I will be doing that, though. For now, I'll just comment on a couple of things.

First off, a BIG thanks to Wight for the character feedback. I was honestly worried the Kellyn RP might have seemed a bit forced as far as trying to add more depth to her character. I was worried it might have seemed shoe-horned in. Glad to know it didn't come off that way at all. It took me some time to even come up with that RP specifically because of that worry I just mentioned, and that's why I RP'd so close to the deadline; I couldn't come up with anything that felt "right" as it were. I absolutely loved the way the Hellcat fatal four-way turned out, though. Kellyn was portrayed perfectly with hitting the suplexes early on against Sakura and using her power overall. The neckbreaker spot that took Kellyn and Mercedes out felt natural and really well-placed as well, especially because, in my head, I could imagine Kellyn's mindset in wanting to go straight for the champion and being short-sighted in that way. So, yeah, it was all kinds of awesome!

Secondly, I agree with Wight on multiple accounts as far as Alexander goes. I agree there needs to be something fresh for him and I admit there has been a decline in output of RP's with him. The main reason for both of those things is the same; after the holidays finished I just couldn't get the gears spinning again to pull myself back into the swing of things here. Admittedly, a few days ago I'd contemplated taking an indefinite hiatus from FIW, but I've since changed my mind on that front, though and I won't be doing that any time soon, if ever. And on that note, I threw a few ideas for Alexander in Sid's direction (I'm not sure if you got that PM a couple days ago or not) so we'll see which of those ideas stick and go from there. It definitely helps to know we can use the FIW awards that pertain to our characters in universe cause there are SOOOO many ideas I can use with that alone.

That being said, I also loved the tag match involving the Coulter Crew. The beginning bit with Alexander waiting on a kiss from Kim made me chuckle cause that's exactly what I would have done with it. Lol. Overall, I thought the way Alexander was portrayed using his strength and size to his advantage is exactly what he would do. I like to portray him very cold and calculating and using anything at his disposal to win a match, so everything he did made logical sense and looked good too (in my head that is :P). Good stuff with that!

And lastly, (for now, anyway) big congrats to Marc on winning the DC. I think Mad Dawg has come a long way from when I first came back to now, and Marc is definitely deserving of that title and it is long overdue as Lita said. He's done a lot for this place, especially back when he was fed-head so he's more than deserving of that sort of glory, I think. It'll definitely be interesting to see how Mad Dawg progresses and seeing how he takes winning the big one. Should be fun to see play out.

That's it for now, but as I said, I will be reading the show in full soon, so more feedback will come.

First thing: wow, thanks. I had so much fun RPing this week,. The twitter thread has been a godsend. Heckling people has been a lot of fun, and I got some great ideas. Some inspired stuff going on there, from the love-ins to the flame wars to management announcing a promo tour. I love what Adam's doing with Helena at the moment, and so many people put up what was for me, their best work in ages.

Congratulations to Marc on the DC, I really like this light-hearted but still a twat Mad Dawg, although if you could change the rep, I'd really appreciate it. Cannot stand Lashley, the bug eyed wannabe Lesnar. I have Ahmed Johnson in my head, although Titus O'Neill might work.

Not feeling very coherent at the moment. Hopefully I'll get some more up later. Show was great.

Wow, just wow is all I can say. I have to say it just feel awesome to have finally made it after all this time. I have to hand it to Seph, he definitely kept me on my toes and was, as always, an incredible opponent. Just want to say thanks to everyone involved who's supported me along the journey, it's been one hell of a ride and looking forward to seeing where this all goes. Main Event was just amazing and had me on the edge of my seat.

Rest of the show was very good as well, quite a few results I wasn't expecting. I'll comment on the rest later, but I've got to get some sleep for now. :D

On the rep, I won't lie. I've been considering changing it for a while now but haven't mainly because I haven't really been able to find another one I was happy with. Ahmed's never appealed to me (probably because his promos were horrendous and just seeing him reminds me of them). I had at one time thought maybe Uhaa Nation, but he's too young looking. Titus is a little older than I'd like, but honestly he doesn't look it, so I could maybe work with him.

I've always preferred Darren Young to Titus O'Neil but definitely don't think Darren fits Mad Dawg's look at all.

What about Dante Dash? Or David Otunga?

I've always pictured Ezekiel Jackson for Mad Dawg, honestly. But I understand someone else was using that rep here before?

And lastly, if you wanna trade in large and in-charge for strikingly handsome: Byron Saxton. Haha.

I'd say Otunga or Jackson out of the options mentioned.

I could see Terry Crews really easily too.

If MD had a beard, I'd say Kimbo.

But yeah, I've always had a hard time picturing him as Lashley too.

Yeah man, I feel all weird now that Neo is Jake Gyllenhaal when he's been Jared Leto for like the past seven or nine years. If you love something cling to it with your life and keep on trucking.
