Matches: Lita, Wight, Rob & Craig
Promos: Bob, Lita, Rob, Otaku, Bleak, Wight, Steve & Craig

This show feels like a TV show. I know that sounds odd. After so many huge shows in succession which felt like pay-per-views, this was back to our regularly expected ReVolt. That's not a bad thing either, as much as I don’t want to burn out it’s important that everybody else doesn’t either. As momentum builds so does expectation, things can get beyond us all. The first show after a PPV is always one of change and developments to take us into the next cycle. This show and the next one is about new opponents, new challenges. I enjoyed the Alpha Wolves response to Badd Breed, Jack Manson Jr. is back and obviously Joe Stanton is on the FIW roster.

Some really interesting developments, a lot around Jericho Cruz, Zombie Black and Beezlebob. Congratulations to the new champions, but looking at the new card their challenge is only just beginning. I really liked the flight thread, I know they aren’t for everybody and there’s no obligation to participate.

Just want to add a special mention to Rob, despite Father Pike’s retirement he has asked to continue on as a writer so thank you to him.

In terms of no shows, we were riddled by a few. Alika Gray/Levi Russel - no idea. No PM, no twitter DM. In posting the card in creative I mentioned that we seem to get these new starters who are highly motivated, only for it to fizzle out two weeks later. We had Wasabi, didn't even RP for his debut and didn't reply to a PM asking if he wanted to continue to be booked. Is it not challenging for titles immediately? To me Alika/Levi's story was headed towards the Rising title but nothing happens immediately, it's just not possible. Nothing from Adam either, which is a concern. I'm really high on Kris Hansel, we all are, I'd have loved to put him against Johnny Amazing this coming week to really push him along but I can't in good faith. Helena is another one that could as I type this easy be Hellcats Champion on the back of a PPV main event but nothing happened for her. I know we all have lives, there are so many other things that are more important than this game. Just shoot me or somebody a PM to say 'can't RP this week' or 'leave me off the cards for next three shows'. If I'm out of line, please tell me.

Welcome to Jade Justice, I mentioned in the Oracle Weekly about the booking being not what was expected due to absences. Really liked the roleplays this week and a big opportunity next week to show what the character is about against the former Hellcats Champion.

The new card is a bit… strange. At first glance at least. Some new opponents for some (can’t have Crew vs. Dream & Johnny etc. every week!). The one I most thought over was Johnny vs. Jericho, which just seems like a good match to do and see how it goes.

Thank you as always to everybody for their promos and roleplays. Thoughts?

Just wanted to put in my two cents in the feedback this week.

A great show again this week. Thank you for everyone that wrote, judged and kept the mighty FIW machine rolling with greatness. Cheers to the new champions. Even though it may not have felt like another ppv it was once again strong and intriguing. To echo what Craig said, nothing wrong with it feeling like a tv show. Ebbs and flows intertwine with each other and reach different plateaus. The fact is, in my opinion, we never even hit anything close to average here. I wish the old episodic tv shows I used to watch had the kind of epic continuation of brilliance that we have in this fed. This house is certainly built on stone and not mud. I am proud of everyone here and we kick major ass. Not ashamed to say it although forgive the profanity :P

May I please take the time to ask everyone that if you cannot show up, rp or anything and you are expected to PLEASE let Craig know. With this age of social media I don't think it's fair to leave not only our staff but others involved in the dark. I know horrible things happen and participation can be pulled out from under all of us. However, try and think ahead and gauge what you have going on for the week. When I was part owner of an orange grove WAY back I used to ask people that if they even had an INKLING they might be late to call me. We also worry about people here and when we don't hear from you it's a concern on a human level.

Thanks again to Craig who is letting me stay on despite not running a character and helping the fed however I can.

Welcome to Jade. Totally stoked to see what is down the line as everything so far has been excellent!

So I wanted to speak a while on Father Pike and Timothy for those who are interested. This is going to be a bit long so if not all my feedback about the show has been said above.

I wanted to play a heel when I came back so I wanted to take it from a cult/ twisted religious angle. I liked the idea that Pike was broken but totally unsympathetic and totally believed what he felt and said. Hence his continuous "It's not a gimmick!" rants. Timothy was based on Jeff Fayheys brilliant performance as Job in "The Lawnmower Man." Just used a different biblical name. I liked how as once character continued to fall the other grew. I am very happy with how the run ended. Craig and Crystal really helped me a LOT and I want to thank them.

The Mistress was born of the idea of an ancient evil that randomly tortures people since the dawn of mankind. It was something I had read theories about when I was in my 20's and thought it was fascinating. Hopefully I did the idea justice.

For everyone that enjoyed interacting with me and following the two mens journey I thank you. If not well... luckily we have a TON of people who are more entertaining and talented than me :) When Rob Storm used to come and go he wouldn't have particularly long runs at any given time. That was planned but this last stroke I had really made me want to send the good Father along his way before playing him became a chore. Thank you for all the feedback everyone was kind enough to feed me along the way as well. It was always appreciated and taken to heart constructively.

Sincerely, Rob.

I echo the above sentiments about letting us know if you're not gonna be able to RP. There are so many ways to do it, it's kind of silly to not just drop us a line. It doesn't take long and we won't be mad. It just helps us know who to book, who to not, and gives us an idea of where you are and where you stand re: the fed. EDIT: I say us because I run into this problem at Neon Gen as well, I'm not actually on-staff here.

I wrote my matches so I don't have a wealth of feedback. I think Rob's new position is a good place for him. Father Pike was fun, but we need people to help with the show and I'm not always going to be able to lend a hand like I did this week, so him being around for that sole purpose is really good. I'm also glad he's sticking around OOC. He's a positive force to have around the forum and we need that from time to time.

Coulter Crew Shenanigans were clever. Kim turning a negative into a positive. Good promo from Mr. Otaku, and I liked Johnny/Mercedes. I won't lie; I ship them. Don't have a wealth more to say, besides thank you.

From what I've read since coming back, I'll give Craig all the credit in the world. Every show I've read flows really well and feels like it has a distinct narrative. It feels like how an episodic product should be presented, how good wrestling is done. This show was no different, it just made a lot of sense and felt connected in a lot of ways.

I wasn't expecting Freakshow for the huge reveal, but it makes sense. Bob and him seem like they'd get along. Sad to see Zombie go, but it opens up a lot of avenues for a lot of characters in Bob, Freakshow, Jericho, and the Ninja.

Huge thanks to Craig and to all of the writers this week for everything you guys did. I’m going to be pitching my name in the hat for next week’s matches. I already sent a PM to Craig about that. Any way that I can possibly help out around here, you all can consider it done.

As far as this week goes, the show was great as always. I do agree it felt a little different than the bombshell shows we’ve had recently, but as has been stated a few times now, that’s not a bad thing in the least. It still felt like a great show especially coming off the PPV we had last cycle. It all seemed heavier on the storyline stuff than most of the time. And I liked the way the no-shows and stuff were all handled.

Everything was great except for my output for the show in terms of RP’s. I was not at all happy with it.

Actually, I take that back. I enjoyed the RP I did with Steve between Jack Sr. and Alexander. But with the plane ride thread, I could not, for the life of me, get my bearings and put something up that I liked aside from the ice in Jack Jr’s face. The “All Business” solo RP I did was…okay in my opinion, nothing great. I dunno, maybe that’s just me. Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated. I just felt off with the plane ride thread and I feel it seeped into my other stuff.

Anyway, onto the show feedback!

I loved that opening promo with the Coulter Crew using Orion’s words against him about the FSC title being held by the entire Crew. That was gold. That graphic at the start of it was bad ass, too, as well as the theme music. The “match” that ensued with the Dream fan was a great way to get heat for Eversol and the entire Crew, really. That was awesome. Loved every bit of that. Lol.

Very quick match between Joe Stanton and Kris Hansel. It sucks that we didn’t get to see any RP’s from Kris Hansel. I’ve become a huge fan of his and I think it could have been a great back-and-forth deal between he and Joe Stanton. Speaking Joe, as I’ve said before, I’m glad Nir’s decided to bring Joe around to FIW. Here’s hoping we can see something substantial for Nir as a handler and Joe the character.

I liked the bumper promo for the Valentine’s Day date with El Principe and Crystal Blake. Definitely looking forward to seeing that on the FIW Network section.

First a fake match to open the show and now a match thwarted! Lol. I really liked the heel promo from Rob Garcia and him backing out of the match against Dragon. Having him argue he’s deserving of something better was awesome and I can’t wait to see what comes out of that.

Eversol almost landed himself in the dog house! Lol. The way he turned it around, though, was brilliant. It’s almost like he pulled off a heel move of misdirection on his own girlfriend, but not intending it to be in a heel way at all. Really cool promo there.

Another disappointment with Levi Russel/Alika Gray no-showing for this show. I really liked the character and it was so much fun with the interactions on Twitter between he and Alexander. I started to notice a drop off in activity from him recently, but was hoping he’d bounce back. We’ll see what happens moving forward. Here’s hoping we haven’t seen the last of him.

Big thanks to Rob for sticking around OOC despite dropping the Father Pike character. I really liked what he did with that character, especially the feud between him and Crystal Blake. Overall, the character was awesome and Rob is a great writer both in terms of RP’s and matches. Glad to see he’ll be sticking around to help out. The ensuing promo from Kira where he was upset over the match against Father Pike being scrapped was a nice touch as well.

Big win for the Alpha Wolves against Los Templarios, Brother Knights and Badd Breed. I know in the past, Sticky had mentioned he wasn’t feeling his work and he’d been at quite a loss as far as where to go with the Alpha Wolves. Hopefully this win can help him get back on the mental track with them. The match itself was great and the brevity of it made it really easy to read through.

Equally big win for Crystal Blake against Yuki Sakaraba. With a Hellcats title shot on the line in the Trial Series, really any win is a big one, so congrats on that one. Hitchen said it right, a big win to move on in the series and a date to boot. Lol! I loved the commentary in that match as well.

Freakshow is on an absolute tear with the Rising title. Great match between him and Colin Stiles and really cool seeing Freakshow take the victory in it. This was one of those matches I would have been happy regardless who won it because I like both characters. I can’t wait to see where Freakshow goes from here and the same for Colin Stiles as well.

I skipped the Brick Sharks promo so that I can put it together here along with the tag match against ATN. I gotta say, as a writer, I love everything Lita’s been doing with the Brick Sharks. As a fan, I hate it because it’s absolutely saddening. Lol. I’m a huge fan of the Brick Sharks and you could definitely see Caleb felt the writing was on the wall in that pre-match promo and Harley was seemingly clueless. The aftermath of the ATN/Brick Sharks match was completely heart-wrenching. I just saw the card and saw Alexander is booked against Caleb. You know Alexander is going to pick at him for all of this. He just has to. Lol!

Great to see Brittany take the win in the Hellcats showcase. I think “showcase” is a good way to put it; everybody was well-represented in the match and overall it was really good. It’ll be interesting to see how Jade fares against Brittany in the next show coming off this match. I liked the promo from Jade where she said she wasn’t here to make friends, just to win the Hellcats title. That was a great start and I’m eager to see how things go from here.

I remember when Mercedes was still an active competitor and there seemed to be some attraction between her and Johnny. Glad to see that’s potentially being rekindled. I liked what Lita and Bleak did in the plane ride thread with both Eversol & Brittany and Johnny & Mercedes as well as that promo with Johnny giving Mercedes a gift.

The revelation that Purple Robed Guy was Freakshow was awesome and completely unexpected. I really liked the way the angle played out with Freakshow and Beezlebob turning on Jericho, ultimately causing the title loss. I’m definitely eager to see how things play out with this story moving forward.

The Jack Jr./Nathaniel match was awesome. As I’d mentioned earlier, I really wasn’t happy with my output other than the two RP’s outside the plane ride thread. Nonetheless, the match itself was awesome and I loved the way the storyline stuff was handled. The interjection of Joe Stanton to save Kim was a nice touch. I’m sure it’s safe to say the Coulter Crew hasn’t seen the last of Jack Jr. I definitely can’t wait to see how things play out after this.

The main event of the entire show was awesome. I really liked how the volatility of each team was put over a ton throughout the match, especially with regard to Eversol and Clay. The finish with everything devolving into chaos and still with Eversol and Clay taking the win was awesome. It’ll be interesting to see how Eversol responds to Erik’s attempts at a distraction and how the entire Crew in general reacts to the events of both the main event and the second-to-last match.

Great show, everybody! Every bit of it had a ton of character and story development, which I love to see. We’ll see how things go moving forward!

Would have liked to have seen more from Los Templarios for the tag match and certainly wish Brother Knights had something, but for the first time in a while (since the Riot feud at least), I did something I actually liked. And Badd Breed's promo had a lot to do with that: I had basically thought of having the Wolves do the promo where Richlen is trying to fire on all cylinders but Shaelin is deciding to likely force Richlen to do EVERYTHING in the match. Thankfully I was able to get a good response in.

Obviously there's still a long ways to go and the next match is gonna be a tough one to RP for but I shall accept the challenge of doing so.

Also, I want to echo what is being said about needing to at least say SOMETHING if you can't promo for any reason. Makes life easier for Craig and everyone else.

Would have liked to have seen more from Los Templarios for the tag match

Had more that I was working on, but between a weird schedule change at work and just work stuff in general and still trying to shake a nasty cold, it didn't get done in time. On the plus side, I have like 3 cowriting threads to work on for them for this coming week, so...

I actually loved that this felt like a TV episode and not a PPV. So many plots got advanced. The Crew is now reveling in the heat, Johnny and Mercedes are starting...something, Brittany and Eversol are getting moved along with their relationship, The Brick Sharks might be done, Kira Izumi is up to things, Father Pike retires, Los Templarios start the dating thing, Rob Garcia declines his first match, and I Finally get to (have Wight) reveal that Freakshow is Beezlebob's new client! Plus new Tag Champs and more in the Manson vs. Crew rivalry! Its so much cool storyline stuff that seems like a fresh breath of air and a new start to what I'm sure is going to be excessive amounts of awesome. This week was about our stories, not just wrestling.

As usual, the show was excellently put together. I loved how the no-shows were handled, although I am saddened by them. We have quite a few cool characters around here that I want to see a lot more of.

Massive props to Wight for working with me on Freakshow's induction to the Lords of Salem and the neat match this week. I look forward to cool stuff and excellent partnership. I also like that there seems to be a rivalry forming between Harley/Jerico and Freakshow/Bob in the match this coming week.

I might have more feedback later, but it's bed time. I do have to say that this is one of the best roleplaying communities I've had the pleasure of being part of. Y'all are awesome.

I honestly love that this show felt like a TV show. It was a great "catch your breath" moment, to be honest. The last few shows have been these huge events back to back to back that it was getting a bit overwhelming to RP for. I feel like my output this cycle was kind of light in comparison to what I've been doing. I mean, I RP a lot, but it wasn't balls to the walls content. Other than progressing an actual story with the Sharks and Jericho, I mostly just did fluff this week and it was kinda nice to be so carefree for a change.

I had so much fun with the opening segment for the Coulter Crew. This idea came to me early last week and it felt like such a GREAT opportunity to make the Crew even worse people than they already were. Also, it continues the Crew/Dream heat without poor Dream having to suffer directly from it and you know I love me some Dream! Glad to see people liked this latest twist in the story.

It is so great to have Nir back and especially to see Joe Stanton again. Nir did a re-tooled version of him back in NGIW (and I think CCW too) but I like this Joe Stanton best. He's hard to put into words, but I just love him. I especially love how punchy he is. And yes, that pun was intended. It's a shame that Adam no-showed all his characters this week. I love Kris Hansel almost as much as I love Helena. Sad face.

Rob Garcia probably has the greatest "in-ring" debut of anyone so far. I really loved the promo that he cut on Dragon of all people. Dragon is definitely our #1 babyface and Rob just got himself insta-heat for picking on the poor guy. Can't wait for the "re-match".

I enjoyed both joint segments I did with Bleak. I was so happy to introduce more of Eversol's heel side, show it affecting Brittany, but further his heel-ness by having him side-step it by literally buying his way out of it. Johnny and Mercedes is something that I feel like has been building for AGES and it's still building. Why? Because Johnny is not smooth at all. He doesn't even know how to talk to women. He probably doesn't even get that Mercedes might sorta have a thing for him. And Mercedes is probably not sure how to approach a potential relationship with her best friend's brother. But I liked that we could get something for them on Valentine's Day of all days without it being a blatant relationship thing. Glad to see someone ships them, too! :D

Saddened by Levi/Alika's sudden disappearance. I was very interested in him rising up the ranks here. I thought he would be a good way. Shame. But a great victory for Alastor Saintclaire, who continues to get better every week.

Father Pike's retirement was a great little speech. I will miss seeing the character around, but I trust Rob's decision to retire him if that's what he needs to do. I'm glad Rob will be sticking around and continuing to help with the writing. I know that helps Craig tremendously. Thank you, Rob.

The Kira segment that followed totally caught me off-guard. Kira being pissed was expected but that blood mist to the boss! Whaaaaat? And this was one of the best-constructed Kira pieces I've seen so far. Definitely keep this up.

I was disappointed by the lack of Magicos this week, but Beard's explanation makes tons of sense. They were still a great addition to the RP forum even if it was lighter than we expected. Badd Breed was really good this week and I appreciate their fire towards the Crew, even if I feel like it may have come off slightly distracted from this particular contest. Either way, Alpha Wolves were spitting fire this week. I really enjoyed their story coming out of a brutal loss at Nensai Senjou. That was some excellent story telling and character development for both Gus and Shaelin. A well-deserved victory.

A nice start to Crystal's Trial Series. I'm curious to see how she progresses in this series and what it does for her as a character and a competitor. I wish Yuki had more to say. It's a little concerning that she just came back and already she doesn't appear to have much to say. I hope she's expanded on a lot more in the coming weeks. The promos are just too light at the moment.

The Rising title match was easily the toughest match to call this week. I wasn't on board with Colin from the start, but this week he was incredible. I could feel Crys clicking with the character this week and it was incredible work. If Beard weren't so in tune with Freakshow, we definitely would have had a title change here. Unfortunately, I feel like they were neck and neck, and I personally default to the champ when it's the close. Doesn't mean next round couldn't go completely the other way.

I am deeply saddened by my own choices I've made with the Brick Sharks lately. I mean, this was the plan all along, but it makes me sad that I am splitting them up. Wight and I have discussed this at length when putting it into place months ago, and now that it's here I'm both happy with how it all came out and regretful that I made this decision. The Sharks are SO MUCH FUN to RP together. These characters just mesh so well that writing them feels effortless most of the time, even when they're not getting along. But they need this break. I don't want them to get stale and I want to evolve them as individuals, something I don't think they can do while relying on one another. They need outside interactions and they'll get that now. Plus, I feel like they really helped launch the Tag Division to what we finally have today. There are so many great tag teams in the running now and that is something that has me excited, because FIW has always struggled to have a thriving tag division.

ATN are probably one of my favorite tag teams, at least on paper. They look amazing, they have great moves, and they're managed by a twisted asshole. Literally writing them in matches is tons of fun. This one against the Sharks was a lot of fun and I hope Steve is OK with how much offense the Sharks were able to get on ATN. The size difference was ridiculous but I really wanted to put the Sharks over as 3-time champs that knew what they were doing. It was just too little too late for them as far as trying to reconnect as that very team. It fell apart on them and I was so happy to give ATN another victory over former tag champs. They deserve it.

I am literally stunned that Brittany got the submission victory over Helena in the Hellcats Tag. Like I said earlier, I felt like a lot of my stuff this week was fluff. Dai and I had discussed a Sakura/Brittany confrontation but it never happened. That was sad.

Lords of Salem had a huge night. I never would have imagined that Freakshow was the guy under the purple robe! What a twist! And I even knew there was a potential Jericho/Freakshow feud coming up. I'm stupid sometimes. I really look forward to see Jericho Cruz go solo (with Harley following him around, of course) and how he interacts with Beezlebob and Freakshow moving forward. Exciting. Congrats to NBE on their title win. Curious to see how they fare as champs against all the possible challengers.

Jack Manson Jr. vs. Nathaniel Alexander was a huge highlight in the show for me. It was brutal and it was suspenseful. I was so glad that Nir was on board for Joe Stanton saving Kim. There's so much history between these two characters and I am thrilled that he's willing to revisit it in any form. Plus the Mansons/Crew tension is about at its breaking point. Something has to give here and I don't think it's gonna be good. Lol.

Sad that Amazing Dream weren't able to get the win this week, but Clay Krueger looked awesome! And he needed to look awesome. I think Craig did amazing work for Double Jeopardy and it sucks that Clay was the first one out. I love that there's a conscious effort for Clay and Eversol to get along and that they were able to actually pull this one out despite their apparent dislike for one another. But Amazing Dream should have won just because. Not because Craig/Bleak did bad, just because. :P

So time for the noob well sort of I guess haha. Anyway, it was a great show to be a part of. FIW has some really awesome writers and I like that this fed isn't based around favoritism like a lot of others. I look forward to the Jade/Brittany match coming up. There are actually a few of you I would love to work with somehow if given the opportunity. Taking a year off of efedding and focusing on my son and his autism needs gave me more time to come up with ideas for Jade and with help from my BFF who plays Justin Justice too. So I have a lot of potential stories for Jade. You all did wonderful and I look forward to being able to get into the mix more!

Skip ahead for the actual feedback...

Super apologies for the late feedback. I would say it's case I was gutted for Colin losing but that's not entirely the case. It's been snowing like a MFer here, in fact today is the third 12+ hour blizzard we've had in a week, and the other day I had to dig my car out of six feet of snow just so it could be moved. So...yeah, was fairly tired on Valentine's so I couldn't do much in the way of writing. Yesterday I never got any sleep at all so I was no good then. Still a little tired but I wanna get the feedback up before I start some heavy duty roleplaying. :)

As I mentioned before, a little gutted over Colin's loss but hearing my efforts with him were enjoyed certainly made up for it. I did try and go back to how I had envisioned him before and if no one noticed, I'm trying to go for the ECW era Mick Foley. The match was good with nice quick and crisp action. Should come up with more signatures, I know, it was a problem when I first did the app and it's still that way. I'll try and come up with a few over the next little while. No problems here I found. :)

I had fun writing up Crystal's RP. I think it's clear I'm more dialogue than action by now. lol Not saying the dialogue is awesome, just I like writing it. I was also a little saddened by Yuki's short address as I was hoping the fresh take could lead to some fun works. The Bombs Away is still a silly move I feel, but it's a nice set up for her Goodnight Moon. I was pleased to see no attempt this time with the Jackhammer, it's still in heavy development. The rest of the match was good. Courtney's fading into more of a cheerleader, which shows Crystal's growing abilities. So that's nice. :)

Laaate feedback

Enjoyed the show very much and agree with prior sentiments of the fluid pacing, gave the show a nice feel as well as kept the stories moving in a fun manner.

Sad Alika didn't get an RP up but appreciate the effort put into my match, I'm still trying to find my precise footing with Alastor but I'm getting back into my groove, greatly excited to be facing the dream this week!

Is FIW gonna get sued because the Coulter Crew beat up a fan? >.> The Crew continues to show why they're the best though.

I'm digging that Stanton fellow, very good character.

Rob Garcia is a hoot, loved that smarmy promo and can't wait to see where it goes.

Sad Colin lost, but Freakshow is a tough competitor and his developments with Bob put the Rising Championship in a huge light.

Thanks to the writers of the show, couldn't do it without ya! Sad that Father Pike retired but appreciation is sent towards Storm for sticking around as a writer.

The FNT in NBE's finisher stands for "Final Ninja Technique," and I think the rest is "something, something Explosion."
