Promos: Craig
Matches: Kat, Lita, Nir, Bleak, Otaku, Craig

I want to start with a huge thank you to everybody, everybody who has wrote a match or submitted a promo for a show or even roleplayed, FIW would not be what it is without the wonderful community around it. A special thanks should be reserved for Lita for all her help and support, to Dai, Steve and Bleak for their creative contributions and the likes of Otaku, Nir and Wight who constantly come forward with angles and ideas.

The problems that have happened over the last two months are really my doing, since we seemed to fine beforehand, it was a trade-off between departing instantly (nobody’s preference) and preparing for it. In hindsight maybe not announcing it so soon was the best thing to do. Alas, I wish Wight all the best. I always wanted to hand over FIW in a positive state and with almost everybody staying, plus the new signups which look fantastic. I’ve just realised writing this that my characters lost the fall in three matches, which just seems apt, no different to normal then. Sticky has been hammering home the point that my characters lose a lot in the last few weeks and he’s probably right, so I’ll take a break for a while and see how that goes.

I don’t think many know, I’ve started writing a weekly column for the Higher Tempo Press, which is a football website around Football Manager, a game I’ve played for many a year. That’s led to participation in an e-tournament in Leeds and I’m now an official Sports Interactive researcher/scout for a team up here near Blackpool. I’ll find the link and post it somewhere.

Anyway, that’s not FIW related. I’ll just go through some match thoughts and observations starting with PreVolt.

- Crystal Blake vs. Lady Marsden
Lady Marsden was judged to win by two judges, before we sort of realised/were informed that the RP was beyond the deadline. With such a long window, I didn’t feel it possible to let it go. The finish is a compromise.

- Super Ninja HAYATO vs. Mystery Opponent
I’ll be honest this was something of a punt. HAYATO was the only roster member not on the card (unless I missed somebody) and that felt wrong, so my thought was that between myself and Dai we’d figure something out. Late on I had the idea to include the new sign ups as a way to introduce them without properly introduce them and that seemed to work out.

- Katriona vs. Nichelle
As mentioned in the other thread, I wouldn’t normally have included this match due to the lack of rp’s but it was well written and the writer put in the effort. I really like the two characters, I hope they can develop into something under Wight.

- Tag Team Turmoil
For one reason or another, Ninja Blood I think were the last team standing so sort of won via default in all honesty. Rebel’s rp back to Crystal I did like though, so it was earned.

- Shaelin Marie Richlen vs. Dee Dee Summers
As I understand it, Dee Dee is departing, but that shouldn’t diminish the work Sticky put in to build the feud however one-sided. I changed it to a hardcore match simply because it was fun to write and Shaelin got put over nicely.

- Joe Stanton vs. Nathaniel Alexander
I’ve really enjoyed the feud between these two characters and Nir’s request was that Nathaniel won this match, which just speaks volumes about his generosity as he made that weeks before the card was even booked. Played nicely into War Games too.

- FIW Championship
I’ll try not to use any spoilers, which is going to be difficult. Eversol and Johnny are two of the best written, consistent characters here and it was always going to tough to pick a winner. I actually went solely with Wight’s judgment (sorry to out you) on this one as basically he’s going to deal with the Champ as GM and it’ll affect him more than my own judging. Congratulations to the winner.

- Rising Championship
Will’s output over the past two weeks has been phenomenal and prompted me to explain in-character why he wasn’t in the War Games match later on. I suspect part of Will’s motivation has been a bit of a statement back at me for leaving him out, which is a fair criticism. It’s a strange position to be in with Erik Holland because he’s really too good for the Rising title but I think he can perform a valuable service with several newcomers arriving at the same time.

- Neo Carner vs. Dimmu Borgir
I understand Seph is also departing, which is a shame because despite my own initial reservations (Lita really went to bat for him) I was persuaded to let Seph back in under a different character and then without incident, permitted Neo. Part of the reason for this match was because I couldn’t do Neo vs. Clay as I wanted (if Darian had returned a week earlier I could have swung it) and I wanted to give back to Seph, who had shown maturity and has considering he roleplayed for this show knowing he was leaving after it.

- Freakshow vs. Zombie Black
Some excellent writing from Bleak here, to the point I’m wondering why he doesn’t write more! Maybe he does and I can’t remember, that’s entirely possible. Freakshow and David/Beard is one of the characters/people I feel as though I’ve failed. I probably include Crystal in that, along with all of my own obviously. This feud came really because I couldn’t think of anything better (I blame myself for that, not anybody else), but the outcome is quite spectacular. I’m really interested as to the future for Freakshow.

- Kira Izumi vs. Sang-Hyun Lee
I really hope Otaku got what he wanted from this feud, I’ve enjoyed reading the matches and especially because Japanese wrestling/culture is decidedly not my forte. Yuki and Kira are still FIW World Tag Team Champions, which is an intriguing element moving forward.

- Hellcats Championship
My favourite match of the night, although I knew it was going to be based on three characters and the differences between them. At first I saw it and I was a little… miffed… that Xenia took the fall considering I’d intentionally left it open to see if the writer was as generous as I was with their own character, but the more I think about it the more I can’t complain. It wasn’t a brilliant rp window for me with Xenia so it’s only right she took the fall. See how I didn’t actually say who won? That’s quality sidestepping right there.

- War Games
This one I am going to spoil so if you want to look away, do so now. I enjoyed writing it, although as usual I needed a notepad beside me of who was in the match and who was where. Richlen winning was highly deserved. I’ve not always treated Gus as maybe he should have been so for him to win this one is pleasing. I always planned to do the speech afterwards, although it came out different and a bit more heartfelt than I thought it would. The Coulter Crew/Orion/FIW storyline has been so much fun to run and to see it conclude is very satisfying. There have been times when I’ve been frustrated with the storyline and other times when it’s gone unbelievably well following a small simple suggestion. Thank you to Lita, Nate, Hayden, Bleak, Steve, Matt and everybody else for participating in it.

And with that, I officially hand over to Wight. Please support him as you have me, I’m sure you will. Tomorrow I’ll send Wight the FIW twitter password (can’t remember it without searching my laptop for the auto password settings) and anything else I can think of. I don’t think there is much. I'll look forward to coming on to send that PM and finding myself de-admined!

Please leave feedback, feel free to direct anger and frustration my way, I won’t mind. Best wishes to Wight and his team, along with all of you. I’ll try and pop in when I can but a short break is going to be for the best.

Going to miss you terribly Craig. You were always great to me even when I didn't deserve it. I hope the times I chipped in helped some although I know I am not as talented as the other folks here. Please don't be a stranger. You did an amazing job running things for the good of FIW and it is greatly appreciated.

Always good to see some storylines and familiar threads end so new adventures can spring up from the old remnants. I see nothing but great times ahead and feel nothing but totally confident in Wight steering the ship.

Not much more to say without getting overly emotional except... we love you and respect you Craig.

Grats to the winners and it was a great show.

You're one hell of a guy and it was one hell of a show, a fitting end for you.

I think you're being too hard on yourself overall, honestly. I hope you darken FIW's doorstep again sometime in the near future, I'd love for a proper Joe/Clay storyline to play out and I enjoy working with you for selfish reasons. For less selfish reasons because I've always thought you were a great writer and easily within the top tier of what I've seen out of the FIW/NGIW circle. Your presence strengthens FIW, I feel.

Plus I think Clay Krueger, FIW Champion has a nice ring to it.

You will be missed. Thank you for the opportunities you afforded me with my most recent run here. I'm sure I was annoying to deal with at points.

There is something I will contest though, Craig. If any of the participants of the Rising title match have an issue, take it up with me. I wrote the thing. All the heat for that should go on me. Craig's dealt with enough shit for one man's lifetime during his GM stint.

Let the good times roll.

I want to keep tabs on this team youre involved with, Craig, so keep me posted on that please. Really excited for you.

I feel like this show was one of the bigger ones we've ever done as a group. Some seriously important stories all blew off in a really satisfying way. I gotta' say, because I know your old school tendencies Craig seeing Johnny get the belt back early on made me worried about the main event.

It was a really good match and I loved how Johnny was all business the whole way through. Interesting dynamic with Clarke refusing to DQ Eversol. The lights out match was seriously brutal so great job to Otaku on writing that.

Rising Championship...woo! I won!

In a way, yes, I was motivated by being left out of War Games, and honestly I think it lent itself to some new and needed evolution for Holland. Couple that with finding it easy to write ever since we started using Twitter, finding it easy to interact with other characters without having to go to all the trouble of RPing, so I can RP as much as I'm actually COMFORTABLE with doing...and hey presto, that brought me my first championship in a few years.

I'll explain in character but at this stage for Erik winning something called the Rising title is really pretty appropriate, so Craig don't feel like you're shortchanging me at all because you didn't. Erik is plenty good for the Rising Championship and it's going to be fun holding the title. Rob deserves a lot of credit too, he's a great writer and I really enjoyed going head to head with him here, on Twitter and everywhere else.

Nir, as I discussed with you on Twitter don't feel bad about the length of the match. TLC matches are hard to write outside of being spotfests but I think you did a good job.

Not much to say about Neo vs Borgir considering Seph's taking off, I'm sorry to see that but it was nice to send him out with a win.

Scaffold match was great, I wasnt aware Bleak did it but he did a hell of a job. Knowing the RP buildup, I was interested to see how a match would go that Zombie didn't really care about much, but it ended up being really intense and violent and it was of course awesome to see Beezlebub eat shit. THAT, i feel, was the satisfying part of the match.

Hellcat title was really well done too, I always like triple threats that are a ball of chaos until somebody gets a fall on somebody and that was really well done, there. Crisp spots that made sense, there wasn't much I didn't like.

War Games was FANTASTIC. Visually I'm not used to War Games being done with one ring, but Craig did a great job making it work. It was really cool to see Sticky get the deciding fall, he has worked his ass off lately with these characters and deserved the rub big time. Post match speech by Orion was well done too, it was cool to see the FIW guys rejoin everyone in the ring to close the show.

All in all fantastic show! Craig, you have done a MASTERFUL job with FIW, I have enjoyed working with and for you again, and I have every confidence Wight's gonna do a fine job.

Much like Craig said I am leaving. I feel I've gone as far as FIW can take me for now and the time to leave is just what feels right to me. The last 7 months have been fun, a few ups and downs but I feel better leaving this way then I did last year.

A great show, no issues with the Rising Championship match as I feel it went well. Very action packed and an exciting pace. No complaints here.

Neo winning was a surprise as I had asked Craig to put someone over before I left as that's how this business works. Though I did enjoy winning and while it wasn't Clay vs Neo, it was just as good. Loved it.

I'll miss y'all and who knows, maybe one day I'll return.

Stay frosty boys and girls.

Deuces.

It's a special occasion. Calls for special feedback. I'm just gonna mark out as I read the show for a while. That sound good? Good. Spoilers abound.

I love how Kim kept attacking Johnny throughout the match.

"DQ me, then! Get off my case!" Good stuff. Eversol's attitude through this whole match was amazing, and I could see Randy Orton doing those things so it helps really solidify the character.

TC STANDS UP FOR HIMSELF!!!

"Cool story about your title reign, bro!"

Very interesting development with Clay and Orion.

Poor Quinn.

The Murdock Rack was a nice touch. Cage is missed.

Good to see Neo pick up the win, surviving through the assault of not only Borgir, but Logan. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Logan Krueger, though.

Nice to see Zombie's entrance. I like what I did with that logo.

Chip's been great this whole show, but he's been especially groovy in the scaffold match.

I love how long that fight went on before the match even started!

The writing on Beezlebob here is just perfect. The reactions, and everything. I love it!

I originally planned on taking this match, just because it had a lot of personal stake for me. I know myself, obviously, I know Bob/Beard/David, and I know what needed to be done with the story. But I was struggling to find a way in my head to make it work and make it a good match. Bleak has really delivered here. This storyline took a few accidental dips in terms of the timing of certain plot points and the strength of the build… but I think this conclusion just cemented everything, put on a good show for the "fans" and left everyone looking great at the end of it.

I for real marked out at the Beezlebob spot. I knew it was coming, but I clapped and cheered. Beautiful stuff!

I'm glad Freakshow went over in the end. I had no hand in this result, and I hope it lights the fire back under Beard's butt and helps him forge Freakshow into the future.

I liked the line about the fans keeping their phones off or dimmed in the Lights Out match.

Really good stuff with this Lights Out match. I'm having a really easy time visualizing it in my head and it looks cool in there.

The bit with the box cutter is NUTS. I love it!

VERY cool finish to the Lights Out match.

The Hellcats match is doing a good job of making Xenia look great.

I like Brittany and Mercedes working together.

I really liked how that match ended.

Oh shit that wink.

The continuity, and the attention to detail in this match are so damn good.

Commentary is ace. Hitchen's line about casualties after Richlen is busted open is keen as.

Great spot with the Electric Dream Machine's pinfall, and the after-effects.

Stopping to just put over Darian Gray in the narration. I love it. I really do, not in that ironic way. He deserves it.

HAYDEN YOU SCALLYWAG!!!

Hard not to tear up at that speech and the camera gesture.

I can't top Craig. I'll try to meet his bootlaces. But I can't top him. It wasn’t a flawless run, but it was handled better than any GM's tenure I've ever seen. Fullstop.

The show was incredible, the pre-show was pretty dang good, too. Lemme get up on a soapbox for a second because while I've sung Craig's praises... quite frankly a lot I wanna point out something else and maybe give us all perspective.

We've had a lot of people complaining about Kim Coulter and by extension her Crew for a long time. Myself included. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the spirit of competition and the fear of politics. Sometimes somebody writes shit we just don't care for, for one reason or another. But I think we often lose sight of two important facts.

1. This is wrestling. Kim has taken her share of stumbles, the Crew has taken their share of hits. Moreso recently, but we learn and grow as we play this game, and there are better bookers at the helm than the ones who handled the crew in... say.. NGIW. Cough, me, cough. Those peaks and valleys (or... troughs?) are more well-defined these days than they were in my day. I've known for months that this entire affair was leading to this payoff. Longer than I've known about Craig stepping down, certainly... and watching people get frustrated with how things were being booked, how they were being "screwed over" for the Crew... it gave me perspective I lacked in this position before.

This is how heat builds, people. It's give and take in small doses. More of it is given to the heel than the face, especially with a long feud... and then the face gets all that heat... all that power and energy from the crowd that the heel has transformed into nuclear matter. They become lightning in a bottle, manufactured by the heel. Braun Strowman WOULD NOT BE OVER if it weren't for Roman Reigns. Kim Coulter has put over every man and woman who has ever fought against her in a tremendous way, especially the ones involved in this match. And then in an amazing... like... heat refraction, Orion gave his portion back to the rest of his team.

Do not focus on one dead tree at the border of the woods when the rest of the forest is beautiful and alive. Give a story a chance to end before you hate it. I mean, that's a little bit "do as I say, not as I do" because I certainly bailed out on Game of Thrones when I got sick of character death and pointless knife-twisting, but Game of Thrones is a TV show and it doesn't matter if I like it.

Point 2. These are your friends and peers. Yup. Sometimes you aren't gonna like what they write, and especially if you HAVE to read it as part of your responsibilities to the board it wears on the patience to do so time and time again. But I'm sure there are enough people who don't wanna read what you write, no matter how great you and the people who love what you do think it is. Opinion and subjectivity are multi-lane highways with many on-ramps and exits. It is not as cut and dry as "this is bad". Because even Twilight has actual fans.

Kim Coulter was far from Twilight. She may not have been the hero FIW deserved, but she was the one we needed.

Card will be up shortly. I love you all. <3

On the main event now, but every match before it was worthy of its ppv slot. Thank you Craig for allowing me this feud with my trio and i really feel like Sang-Hyun and Kira have had two of their best matches within the last two shows. You've been pretty awesome as a GM just like i'm sure Wighty will be too. I do think you may have overbooked and over worked your self here and there but you were a trooper through your whole stint. Thanks for all youve done man and please dont be a stranger here.

I'm happy my match made a bit of sense at least when i reread it. I hope you all like it as well and i hope to have a good rebranding of all three of these wrestlers too. I have a surprise with kirito and kira coming up with in the next month or so too. Congrats to all winners and to all new champions you've all worked damn hard. A new GM and new gimmicks i'm very excited for things to come nd i hope you all are too! thanks everyone and have a good rest of your night/day.

As everyone's already said, Craig's a fantastic GM and writer. Most, if not all, storylines running under him have been great start to finish. He's provided us with tons of entertainment. Thank you, Craig.

To be selfish for a moment, I felt like my return (on my part, because of my bad writing) was underwhelming. Didn't really provide much in that group Crew thread and that solo RP I did was... blegh. There were multiple points in writing that where I pondered deleting it. Though, I wanted to at least explain Darian's disappearance so... That happened.

The show was as HAWT as those graphics. Everyone here really had quite a fiery performance. OKAY. No more. I've had a terrible headache all day, so I'll try to keep this feedback short and sweet.

I'll be honest, the opening match being the FIW Championship match felt strange. But somehow it works, probably because there was no better place for it. The match itself was great and it was nice to see Johnny reclaim his gold after fighting off Kim.

Rising Championship match was really fast paced and a fun read. Grats to Willie/Erik.

Kinda happy to see Neo go out on a high note. Always was a fan of that character.

Scaffold match, as Wight already said, had a terrific pre-match brawl.

The Lights Out match was a cool concept and it was downright brutal. Wondering where Kira goes from here.

Good to see Mercedes retain and still be concerned for Brittany. Xenia=strong as hell.

War Games was really good. Wondering where all of the members of the Crew go from here, including Darian. Quite happy with the ending. Richlen certainly deserved it and seeing the good guys win and Orion go out on a high note of his own was wonderful.

This felt like one of the biggest (possibly the biggest) PPV I've been part of yet. A lot of it had to do with the whole War Games aspect, but also so many storylines got tied up that it just seems like a monolithic book end of an era. Which it is. Thanks, Craig. You'll be missed during your sabbatical, and your return will be met with...I dunno, trumpets or something.

The opening Championship match and War Games themselves really was such a perfect end to the Crew vs. Everyone era that I started roleplaying in back in November of last year. Not gonna lie, I went through an "I hate the Coulter Crew" phase for a while, but like Wight said, the reason for them was to put people over, and damn did it do that well for those who took advantage of it. I'm honestly a little sad to see the Crew defeated. A little. All good villains need their comeuppance eventually. I'm just a little sad I didn't think of a way to insert myself into things and take some of that spotlight for myself.

But anyways, both matches were fantastic reads, and Orion's little speech at the end was awesome.

Good to see the Rising Championship change hands again, especially with Seph leaving. I'm interested in seeing Erik Holland's trajectory from here.

Carner vs. Borgir was well written and interesting. It just seemed like an odd match to have in the full show. Perhaps it might have worked better in the pre-show...

Hats off to Bleak for the scaffold match. It was awesomely written, and he clearly has done his research and represented the characters involved really well. It's really flattering as a writer when another writer uses your characters exactly as you'd want them used. I'm a little surprised I picked up the win, but it gives me a lot to work with. Also, the final spot with Beezlebob...just...amazing. Exactly what I wanted and needed. Thanks, Bleak.

Otaku's Light's Out match has the honor of being the first match here that caused me to actually yell "what the fuck!" when the box cutter came out. Also, dude, your writing has improved a lot. Congrats on the hard work paying off.

The Hellcat's Title match was awesome as well. Nice heat between Brittany and Mercedes and just overall a really great match that put people over nicely.

Just a warning, there is a reason I'm not on the next card. I'm taking a week (maybe two) off to try to figure out where to actually take Freakshow after this current story arc. The past several months have been a cavalcade of work, traveling for work, insanity at work, anxiety, stress, and some good old fashioned writer's block on my part, and I haven't done my due diligence with the character. Honestly, if Wight hadn't made comments about Beezlebob and Marley Haynes dating and then carrying the ensuing storyline, I'd have had jack. So, if you have ideas, please PM them to me. If not...well, I'll come up with something.

Great show, everyone.

Thank you to everybody for the kind words. I wish you all the best under Wight's stewardship and I'm certain the fed will go from strength to strength. I'm especially excited about all the new sign ups and how things shake out following SOS.

For anybody interested (Will), my column is wrote on Tempo here - that's the latest episode and the team Sports Interactive have assigned me are AFC Fylde, who have had a meteoric rise through the leagues and are in the National League (one below the Football League) this season - AFC Fylde

Have fun everybody and see you soon.

I really wanted to post this on Saturday after the show, but I was actually way busier than usual this weekend so I'm barely getting around to it right now. I'll start off with the opening match and then work my way up the card.

I read through Pre-Volt and enjoyed that show as well. It did a really cool job of building tension for SOS and for hyping everything up. Nathaniel vs. Joe was a cool match that I felt did a good job of making people second guess what was going to happen the next night during War Games. So much of the SOS show did that as well.

What a phenomenally, well-written match the FIW match was. It's no surprise to me that Lita did as well as she did writing the match. I loved everything about it from Johnny attacking Eversol early to Eversol purposely trying to get DQ'd the entire time. There was tension and bad blood between both wrestlers and everything about the match put it over just how much these two just hated each other. I also really liked the random Maryse line about Johnny being jealous.

As for the results of the match I'm actually glad that Eversol didn't keep the title, to be honest. I was privy to the story line involving The Crew since probably December or so and what exactly was going to go into it with The Crew being booked so strongly from then until now and I always wanted the payoff to be huge. In my mind, I don't see it being as big as it was (we'll get to that part later) if at the end of it Eversol is still the champion. Because then you still have such a strong presence of The Crew holding the title. In order for Team FIW to really rid itself of Kim and her Crew, I think Eversol needed to lose the title.

I think it was really cool to see Holland win the title. He's been one of the ones just absolutely tormented by The Crew (Eversol and Rob in particular), that it was so cool to see him overcome Rob and win the title after Rob just verbally assaulted him. I really like the tie-in to the NGIW tournament and the job that Will did by making references to it on twitter was great. Will has had a spark as of late with his characters and I really am happy to see him get rewarded for his efforts.

That promo between Clay, Orion and Dimmu Borgir was so good despite it being short. It makes me feel like Craig could be coming back? Or maybe Clay? Maybe I'm just reading too into things. But that's how well it was written.

I really liked the way Neo's departure was handled too. That little moment that he got after the match, standing in the corners was awesome to read. I've always been a fan of Neo as a character. He's a definite future Hall-Of-Famer.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone that had a kind word to say about the scaffold match. I don't write matches as much as before because my kids take up so much of my time that it's hard to dedicate time to match writing as well as RPs. But when it comes to PPVs, I definitely always try my best to take at least one match to lighten the load for Craig just a bit. I took this one and was actually incredibly nervous to write it as I haven't written anything than standard in-ring matches in a long while.

Wight did let me know about the Beezelbob spot but other than that pretty much let me do my thing and so I came up with the attack before the match started. I'm glad that people seemed to enjoy it and I hope that I put over the story like it deserved to be put over. I actually wouldn't mind trying my hand at writing more gimmick matches in the future.

Otaku, you're a good writer, man. I'd never heard of a lights out match before but by the sound of it, I had a feeling it would be brutal and it definitely didn't disappoint in that department. The box cutter spot was definitely a highlight for me too.

I think the Hellcats match should be a MOTY candidate, in my opinion. I hope I don't come off biased because my character was in it and also won the match but it was so good. Lita did a great job of giving each character time to shine and told a phenomenal story. Mercedes and Brittany working together but yet still competing against one another was so good. I loved the way they would freeze up and how it even got a little heated a few times. Xenia wanting to kill them both was great too, she was the one that kept Mercedes and Brittany from full-on tearing each other apart, in a sense.

I'm pleasantly surprised that Mercedes retained the title. Lita put out two amazing Brittany RPs and Craig delivered in his Xenia ones as well so I wasn't sure if I had done enough with my RP. But I'm very happy that Mercedes is still champion, especially since Johnny is now FIW champion (more on that later.)

I have no idea how in the word Craig was able to write that War Games match. To keep track of everyone while keeping the pace of the match is just amazing. The way that the Crew controlled most of the match until Orion showed up was great. It was just another little tid bit about SOS where it just made you wonder what was going to happen.

Everything about the ending was great. It was great to see the last few months finally pay off and see The Crew broken and finally have no leverage like it was supposed to be. The celebration was done so well, and of course the speech by Orion.

I don't know if it was Craig's decision or not, but that quick little kiss between Johnny and Mercedes was such a long time coming and I loved seeing it happen at that moment. It was perfect.

I feel like that moment is better with Johnny holding the FIW title and Mercedes holding the Hellcats title. I'm not sure it would've happened with Eversol as champion still.

And while I'm on that subject, I just think that payoff wouldn't have been as good if Johnny had lost the opening match.

That was a great show. One of the best shows I think I've ever been a part of. And I'm so happy that I was. I also hope that the faces and people that saw their characters constantly get beaten down by The Crew feels some sense of vindication now that the story has ended and the good guys are standing tall.

Craig, you've been a fantastic fed head. Thanks for everything that you gave us and all of the hard work you put into making this place so fun over the last year. I hope that you come back to us soon and grace us with your presence as an RPer or even just to be part of the community.

I'm excited about Wight's new regime and the ideas he's had floating around. The aesthetics of the board are already getting me excited for the new era. I can't wait to see what's to come.

I apologize for this feedback taking so long. There's been a lot of work in the board transition that has monopolized nearly all of my free time since the show.

I pretty much echo a lot of the thoughts already in this thread. Phenomenal show. Probably one of the best of the long line of incredible shows under Craig's reign. I'm going to miss him as GM terribly. Working alongside him and for him will remain one of my fondest times in e-fedding.

That said, I am eagerly looking forward to the future. I'm real excited to see some of Wight's changes (albeit small) implemented over the course of his reign. Like the other old timers around here, it's fun seeing TNT and Slam! logos up at the top of the board. It's weird because I see those logos as very nostalgic but... they're not the real logos. I made those. Lol.

Opening the show with an FIW title match was a lot of fun. I like the idea of flying in the face of the idea that the first match isn't important. I love getting the chance (this is three times now for me, I think) to show that the first match on the card can be one of the most anticipated and/or hyped up matches on the show. However, it does alleviate some of the pressure for me writing it because I'm not writing the final match on the show that typically needs to out-shine all the others. Plus, with Johnny and Eversol also competing later in the night in a huge, dangerous match, I could be realistic and keep them reeled in. Despite that, I feel like it was a really good match. I liked having Johnny more confrontational than he's been in the past and I love writing Eversol as the uber heel willing to do anything and everything to avoid actually earning the victory. This is what makes him the top heel in FIW and so much fun to read and write.

I'm honestly surprised by the outcome. I really didn't expect Johnny to win the title back this soon and I didn't think I wanted him to win the belt back this early. I would have been perfectly fine with the loss here because I enjoy Eversol so much and his run as the champ has been great to see. I feel like the character had such a long journey to get here and for one reason or another there was always a roadblock in his way. It's great that he can now say he's been the World Champ in FIW.

That said. Getting the win was more awesome than I thought it would be. I was making non-title plans for Johnny moving on from this pay-per-view as I didn't want him to keep nagging at the champion in a never-ending cycle of title matches. To have Johnny as a two-time FIW Champion is such a huge honor that I am beyond grateful for. This is a character who has had so many mis-steps in booking over his entire time in FIW. To say that he's a two-time FIW Champion is just mind-blowing to me. Huge thank you to Wight for judging this in my favor.

I'm so happy to see the Hellcats 3-Way getting such positive feedback. Especially incredibly positive feedback from Bleak. I felt a little like I might have struggled here and there with that match. Looking back at it, I'm happy with it. I actually love the way it closed out with the big spot between Xenia and Brittany before Mercedes comes in to retain her title in a dominant sort of way.

In response to Craig's comment about seeing if I was generous enough to put Mercedes over Brittany... there's a very big reason that I didn't go that route. Firstly, you had mentioned that it was judged with Mercedes going over Xenia unless story necessitated Brittany get pinned. Secondly, Wight had let me know that if Brittany wasn't champion that she'd be in a contenders match for it. I didn't think it fit the narrative of the story for Brittany to get pinned and then immediately get a title match, especially with Xenia going away after the match. So yeah. It wasn't that I wasn't generous enough to put someone over my character as 75% of Brittany's career has been me running storylines that put other people over. Part of me feels like that's the reason she can't seem to get any traction these days.

War Games was a monster of a match. I'll admit that I have a tendency to skim these kinds of matches because they are so chaotic and hard for me to keep up with. This one was not for some reason. I was able to keep up with every thing that was going on and nothing felt like it just shifted from one spot to another without any logical progression. I loved the entry order too with Eversol and Johnny not being the last two to enter the match. Great stuff there.

All in all, a big thank you to everyone who played any part in the Coulter Crew angle from the Crew members to those opposing them. I know it wasn't always the most popular angle going on in the show, but it always had tons of effort put behind it from tons of people involved. I am incredibly satisfied with the entirety of this angle despite some hiccups here and there. I'm super thrilled to have been able to write Kim Coulter out in the way that I always envisioned her going, and being able to help highlight so many people along the way.

The kiss was all Craig's idea, but there's a funny story here. The original idea was that Kim was going to be ordered to be handcuffed to someone at ringside so she didn't interfere. Hayden was supposed to volunteer but Orion wasn't going to trust him and appoint Nightmare. Then on PreVolt Nightmare was going to be mysteriously taken out, leaving Hayden around to volunteer last minute. We decided to scrap it and go with Mercedes getting involved. I contemplated contacting Craig to ask if I could see the complete match before the show goes up to write in Johnny kissing Mercedes. But I lost track of time. So to see it in there without me saying anything is amazing and goes to show how in tune Craig is with the characters on his show.

Huge congrats to Erik Holland for his title as well! So happy with the commitment and effort I've seen from Will these past few months. You've definitely brought yourself back to form.

Super sad with the plethora of exits. I'm gonna miss Seph, Nate, and Jess. Rob Garcia is still one of my all-time favorite characters. Obviously I'm a huge Nathaniel Alexander fan. I pushed hard to get Seph back in here and I'm thrilled that he got to participate in this game with all of us again. Hopefully you're all be back soon. Just a shame that Cage Murdock can't come back. :(
