Backstage at the 'Elite Sports Complex' at the usual Slam! interview area, Orion Oldriod is preparing to give one final interview before heading off to the pay-per-view location. Jeff Noon stands by, both Bleak and Dean Venchenzo stand behind Orion.

Jeff: Orion, at Deja Vu you are facing Marc Malicious in a singles match for the World Championship.

Orion: You don't think I know that?

Jeff: I do think you know that but the way this match came about last Thursday on Slam! was fairly questionable...

Orion: How do you mean questionable? Wait a minute, you're part of the conspiracy aren't you?

Jeff: Conspiracy...?

Orion: That's right, the conspiracy against Orion Oldriod that held me down for 1 and a half long years. The entire office hates my guts, O'Hara hates me and Madison Lee is too intimidated by presence.

Jeff Noon appears confused at Orion's sudden outburst. The paranoia seems to be really setting in on the Champion.

Orion: Everybody talk about facts, well the FACT of this matter is that I am still the King of Slam!...I am the still the World Heavyweight Champion and my start burns brighter than anybody else's in that Slam! locker room.

Jeff: Well you are the World Champion...

Orion: All those little pathetic Slam! fans that come each and every week to see a new Worlds Champ crowned, they don't get what they want. Every second of every hour of every day of every week that I am the top man in this brand, the people can't stand it. They hate it that I am the World Champion and they hate that I am the King, the only King. The list is endless of those that have fallen at my feet...Nightmare, Ragin', Hutch, Matt Impact, Evan McKinley, Marc Malicious, Hybrid and even Jack Manson have either been pinned/made to submit or run out of Slam! by 'The Oracle'.

Jeff: That's quite a list.

Orion: But only a week away is a title defense against Marc Malicious and I've got a question for you for after that. Who's left? Who is left on Slam! to challenge me that hasn't already been humbled and humilated by me? I'll tell you the answer to that question...nobody! Not one person is worthy enough to step into the ring and take me on for my title. After I beat Marc Malicious then I might just pick and choose when I defend this title.

From behind Jeff footsteps approach and there's a loud cough. Orion looks neyond Jeff to the approaching person.

Orion: What do you want?

The camera pans around to reveal the new co-GM Phil Atio.

Phil: I think we need a quick chat.

Orion: I'm in the middle of something here.

Jeff looks nervous, being caught in the middle of this emerging power struggle.

Phil: That's all right, you don't mind do you Jeff?

Jeff: No Phil, I mean Mr. Atio.

Phil: See, why don't you come with me Orion?

Bane Security steps forward, they stand in front of a now smirking Orion Oldriod. The World Champion adjusts the title belt on his shoulder in arrogance but Phil Atio is not interested in the hired muscle.

Phil: And leave these two behind, it's not a party.

Orion reluctantly agrees and they leave Bane Security behind. Atio and Oldriod walk down the hallway, Jeff Noon also is left behind.

Phil: I heard you talking to Jeff there and I want to make something perfectly clear. I am the co-General Manager of Slam! Thursday. That means I have as much power as Jack Manson does and a lot more power than you will ever have, despite that World Championship on your shoulder.

Orion: Wait a damn second, you can't talk to me like that...

Phil: As it happens, I can and I will! You can't decide when or if you will defend that title, as of now Jack Manson is not the only person who books the title matches. I can force you to defend that title where and when I like. You need to remember that.

Orion looks frustrated, Phil Atio however is enjoying his new position.

Phil: You have a title match against Marc Malicious next week at Deja Vu.

Orion: (smirking) I am aware of that Phil.

Phil: That's Mr. Atio to you. But I didn't really appreciate the way that you determined who the number one contender was.

Orion: You didn't appreciate it?

Phil: No I didn't. I'm going to be keeping a VERY close eye on your Deja Vu match and if I don't like what I see then I will be out there to inform you of my displeasure.

Orion: Wait a second, I made the right choice. Nobody wants to see Ragin' in the main event anymore, he's been there and done that all before. We've seen him against Hutch, Brighty for the title before so many times and what the fans want now is the new generation...a generation lead by the Champion, me! They want to see the younger, the more aggressive like myself and like Marc Malicious.

Phil: You haven't got a clue have you about what the fans want? They want competition and that's what they are going to get.

Oldriod shakes his head and begins to walk away, having had enough of the conversation. Phil grabs his arm and stops him leaving.

Phil: But good luck out there at Deja Vu.

Orion stares at Atio with a look of disgust, he then leaves to reunite with Bane Security. Oldriod cradles his title belt close to his chest as the three men exit.

**With Orion departed Phil moves back to his desk looking quite pleased with himself as anyone who's received a sudden injection of power would. He sits himself down when the door opens suddenly and violently - without a knock. He looks up, a little annoyed by the lack of respect to see Ragin' stroll into the room. Atio opens his mouth to speak, but Ragin' raises his hand and cuts him off.**

Ragin': "I know what you're thinking, I came in here because you're the only son of a bitch who may be able to grant some justice. But then we both remember last week, don't we? I had you pegged as another one of Manson's bitches, Atio. I didn't think you'd have the balls to go against Manson and his little regime.

But I'll confess, I was wrong."

**Phil watches Ragin' with interest, nodding his agreement.**

Ragin': "Everybody knows who should be in that title match, you saw the match yourself, I beat Malicious, plain and simple but Oldriod made sure he didn't have to face me. The result is i'm not on the card for the PPV."

**Ragin' places his knuckles on the desk of Phil Atio and glares into his eyes.**

Ragin': "The question is, what are you going to do about it Phil? Because i'm sick and tired of this shit. Last week I get fucked over, the week before I'm put in a handicap match, we've already got a spineless bastard as GM, but what about you, Phil?"

**Ragin's face almost looks pleading as he awaits some form of response.**

MM-I can't speak for Mr. Atio, but I have to extend my deepest sympothies to you Ragin'.

Ragin swings his head around quickly, nearly breaking his neck in the process, but there in the doorway stands the number one contender for the World Championship, Marc Malicious.

MM-I am very sorry that everything had to happen the way it did. I would have preferred the match to be fair, even if that meant that I would have lost. Orion Oldriod is nothing but a fearful man. He chose me to fight him because he fears you. I see it in his eyes that he fears you. However, he knows not what I am capable of. He knows not that I am a man worthy of his fear as well. He made a graven mistake when he chose me over you. If he were to fight you, he would know the man he is fighting, be able to at least attempt to prepare. Sure, he might have lost that match against you, but he would have lost as a prepared individual. Facing me, he faces something unpredictable and something he quite frankly is not ready for.

Phil Atio just sits back and listens. He half expects a fight to break out, but he decides to listen to what these two behemoths have to say to each other before he intervenes. Ragin searches Malicious' face, looking for some sign that Marc might be lying. He finds none and he allows Marc to continue uninterrupted.

MM-Ragin', you need to realize that as long as Orion has any kind of say in who he defends against, it will never be you. He won't LET you get any kind of chance against him because you terrify him. That is why we both need to make sure that he no longer reigns as the champion, so that he can no longer call himself the 'King of Slam'. That is why I propose to you that you accompany me to ringside at Deja Vu. You come down to make sure that the match is fair. Make sure that Bane Security, Martyn Maivia, and biased referees have no part in this match. To make sure that steel chairs or baseball bats are not utilized in this match. Keep the peace Ragin' and I will be sure that when I am crowned the new World's Champion, you will be the first contender on my preferred list of opponents.

Ragin' squints his eyes at Malicious, thinking about whether to accept or decline Marc's offer. Malicious smiles as honestly as we've ever seen him and awaits Ragin's response.
