At the Dome..; .. When Chavs Attack

**The scene opens on the Millennium Dome, it’s an artistic shot with the camera running across the Thames and getting a shot of the place from various angles before it zooms in close to Ragin’ and Natalya standing close to the water, the Dome in the background. Around them a few people are milling about the place and Ragin’ has his hood up to ensure nobody recognises him. It’s not a great disguise, Ragin’ is bigger than most people, he walks with an arrogant swagger and Natalya herself causes heads to turn with ease. Ragin’ is fumbling for something in his pocket while Natalya looks out across the murky water.**

Natalya: “What a wretched place. I can’t believe they’re holding this PPV here.”

**Ragin’ pulls a fine cigar from his pocket, he stares at it, a little annoyed that the dull British weather has again gotten one of his finest damp. He gives it a little shake and shrugs, placing it between his lips. He pauses to think for a second, and removes the cigar from his mouth to speak.**

Ragin’: “It’s a fitting representation of this country. Why do you think I live out in the countryside? I detest these people and their dirty little cities. This place is just another example of the pathetic failings of Britannia.”

**Ragin’ pulls a decoratively designed lighter from his pocket and finally manages to light up. He sucks in his lungs, before taking the cigar between his fingers and breathing out a long line of smoke. Natalya glances at him briefly, still looking disgusted at the place.**

Natalya: “They wonder why people like us don’t respect the idiots who line our pockets, the fans, but just seeing these people, it makes my skin crawl comrade. Does what Madrox said bother you?”

**Ragin’ looks at her, a little surprised by the question seemingly from nowhere. His eyes narrow and he takes another drag.**

Ragin’: “Madrox is a lost boy, sitting alone playing his guitar talking of his soul. He knows nothing of his soul. What has Sean Madrox ever had to overcome? When has his soul ever been tested? He thinks this wrestling match is what defines him? If it’s a battle of physicality he wants, I will crush him. If it is a battle of wills, then I have the edge there too.”

Natalya: “He even dropped his moniker, perhaps the boy is serious?”

**Ragin’ chuckles, shaking his head. He again gazes out across the water.**

Ragin’: “But that’s the difference isn’t it? Madrox risks his soul in this match, he claims. Me? I have no soul to risk. He must face me and himself, and overcome both. What do I have to overcome? Win or lose, I’ll still be here. I’ll still be the one person on Slam! who they all fear. I’ll still be harbinger. Madrox has everything to lose, while I have nothing.

**Natalya interrupts him.**

Natalya: “And Hutch? The match Is no DQ, it doesn’t take a genius, comrade…”

**Ragin’ turns to her quickly, a fire in his eyes. He speaks more violently, the calm having disappeared.**

Ragin’: “Let him come, let him have his cheap shots. He has a title match on Sunday what if I were to cost him that? It’d be so easy. But I won’t. Not this time. Hutch needs to realise that I’m right, that he is like me, like you, and this weekend will be a telling one, won’t it? If Hutch decides to cost me the match, to be a coward, to do something so underhand, how will he be able to keep hiding behind the pretence that he is one of the good guys?”

**Natalya frowns, she clearly disagrees with Ragin’s ‘faith’ in Hutch.**

Ragin’: “But I will have my revenge, and a bloody vengeance it will be. Hutch won’t sidetrack me any longer. I will defeat Madrox, I will give Hutch one last choice, and then I shall continue completing my goals.”

Natalya: “To become Heavyweight Champion again.”

**Ragin’ nods, but his face is expressionless.**

Ragin’: “Let us hope that Nightmare gets an upset, it’d make things a lot easier for me.”

**Suddenly someone walks up to the pair, who turn around surprised. They realise it is a small family, a man, if he can be called that, approaches Ragin’. He’s decked out in sportswear, so much so the man could be advertising for Kappa. There’s white, sporty trainers, a plethora of gold chains and to top it all off a burberry cap. The woman stands behind wearing similar gear, with large hooped earrings and smoking a cigarette. She pushes a burberry pram. Ragin’ scowls as the man talks to him, having obviously recognised the Slam! star but neither Ragin’ or Natalya can understand anything he says, it is a flurry of dropped h’s, ‘innits’ and ‘likes’.

Ragin’ stares perplexed at the man, waving him away dismissively. The man’s gesticulating gets more intense and the words run out of his mouth faster but still neither of the Russians can make head or tail of what the man says. He lunges forward, perhaps trying to grip Ragin’s hand, causing the Master of the Rage to drop his cigar.

Ragin’ calmly knocks the burberry cap from the head of the man, showing a lightly shaven head. The cap falls to the floor, landing in a small, muddy puddle. The baby begins to ball, causing the mother to fuss with it in between yelling abuse at Ragin’ in a high-pitched, squawking voice and egging on her man.

The man gives Ragin’ a little shove as he too yells his nonsensical words, covering Ragin’ in spit. The Master of the Rage clearly has had enough and grips the man by his sports wear jacket and absent-mindedly tosses him into the water close by. A large splash sounds behind them causing the woman to run to the edge with over-exaggerated worry. Ragin’ and Natalya calmly walk away, with Ragin’ brushing himself down as he leaves the Chav couple, having done a rare service to society.**
