"Did you want anything else?"

Brittany looks up from her barely touched Coke and shakes her head to decline anything the bartender could be offering her. She had been sitting at the bar for at least an hour now nursing the same non-alcoholic beverage while constantly checking the time on her phone.

Brittany: "I'm supposed to be meeting someone here."

The bartender nods, looking generally disinterested while he wipes out a glass.

Brittany: "It's my brother. He had a pretty rough couple of nights. You see, he lost a match to this guy that's been kind of giving him problems lately. And then he had a title match the next night that he lost to one of his friends... err, a guy that used to be his friend, I guess."

Brittany frowns and looks down at her drink. She isn't sure how she feels about the whole Mark Cannon situation.

Brittany: "Anyway, I thought he could use some cheering up and we haven't really been able to spend too much time together lately. He's been so busy and I've had a few things going on too."

The bartender doesn't even appear to be listening anymore, but he's still within earshot, so Brittany feels compelled to ramble on.

Brittany: "Like I have a match this week, myself. It's against this skinhead that... he's just awful. Plain awful."

And that's funny? It must be, because Brittany laughs about it.

Brittany: "I've dealt with his group before, though, so I'm feeling pretty confident. At least, I hope I have good reason to be. It'll be tough, but nobody said this would be easy."

Somehow that's funny too, according to Brittany. The bartender isn't laughing, though. In fact, it gets suddenly quiet when Brittany stops laughing and she glances around awkwardly.

Brittany: "So, yeah. Supposed to be meeting my brother."

She repeats her plans for the evening and checks her phone again. The time continues to tick away and there's no message from Johnny.

"So, nothing else then?"

Brittany looks up and shakes her head.

Brittany: "Nope. I'm good."

The bartender walks off before Brittany has a chance go into more detail on anything that he is clearly not interested in. Which leaves Brittany sitting alone at the bar and looking around awkwardly.
