Maestro of the Macabre

9:56 P.M. Memphis, Tennessee We're dropped into a remote, rural part of the area that isn't at all familiar. Snow is present on the ground in small quantities. The temperature not yet warm enough to melt away what's left of the frozen debris. In front of us, a lit and open barn greets us just a few feet away. Twigs and ice crunching underneath foot as the camera man makes his way to the structure. It shows its age with the faded, flecking paint that it was originally covered in, the cracked and splintering wooden beams overhead that support the building, and all manner of rusty junk that has been stored inside. In the middle there is an open circle of space for people to gather. Small torches have been brought to life and placed in this area, forming a ring of fire. Alone and by himself... Deacon DEATH, dressed in his robes and mask, waiting on... Someone. Deacon DEATH: "Come, my children... Gather." And like that, shapes begin to move in the shadows, just out of reach of the glow of the torches. One by one, Gaia, Abel, and Gilgamesh walk out from the darkness and into the circle of light to join DEATH. He walks away from them, going to a far off corner and returning time after time until there are three wooden chairs in the open area in the middle of the aging barn. DEATH guides each member into an empty seat until every spot is spoken for. One by one he goes behind them, stroking the back of their necks and generally being very... Creepy. Norman produces from his robes three syringes, each one filled with a strangely vibrant purple liquid. Deacon DEATH: "And so again must you be washed free of your weakness... Your pain... Your suffering..." The Maestro of the Macabre holds the purple instruments up in clear view, examining them in what little light there is. Deacon DEATH: "I will guide you back to the macabre. I will help you see the sights that need to be seen. Trust me..." He starts with Abel, stepping behind him in the chair he's seated in and pushing his head forward so that the back of his neck is completely exposed. DEATH takes a syringe from the trio, squeezing out just enough liquid so there's no air bubble, and then brings it down into the neck of Abel. The minion lets out a small cry of anguish, but it doesn't last long and before you know it all of the purple fluid has been injected. DEATH moves on from him, going next to Gilgamesh, then to Gaia, administering their doses of purple ooze and depositing the empty syringes back into a pocket of his robes. The House of (M) leader beckons his minions to stand, helping Gaia to her feet by offering a free hand of his own. The three followers rise, if not rather hazily and clumsily, the effects of whatever has been put into them already noticeable. Deacon DEATH: "It is only through these treatments... That you will gain strength. My formula... It is perfect, and I know that if you allow yourselves more time... You will see the results I speak of ten fold." Slight pause. Deacon DEATH: "But now... Now I must focus once again on another in a list of persons that seem to enter my life like a revolving door. First it was Finn... Now I am burdened by one... Quincy Wilson." As per usual with DEATH's mention of Quincy these days, a scoff accompanies the irritated manner in which he names his opponent this week. Deacon DEATH: "Yes... Quincy Wilson. A man... No, not a man, a living, breathing facade. A thing so wrapped up in a delusional thought that they can't break away from it and see the truth. When will you accept reality, Quincy? When will you allow us to see the TRUE nature of your heart? I grow tired of these stunts and games that you play. You're no star... You're no mixed-martial-arts master... You are simply... A Wilson. And like all Wilsons, you are destined to trick yourself into thinking you're something you're not." DEATH turns away from the camera, looking over and inspecting each member of his group as they adjust to what they were just injected with. The Deacon runs his hands over them oddly, making sure they are totally in his control. Deacon DEATH: "Your brother... Shaun. He has the sickness just as you do. In fact... I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's a genetic trait inherent to your whole, rotten family. You may say I don't know what I'm talking about... That I'm crazy... That I'm... Out of my mind. Well I can assure you... I am not." With his back turned to the camera, the masked maniac slowly turns around and burrows both of his masked eye holes into you. Boring, drilling into your very soul, forcing you to forget the will to live, to be, to exist. Deacon DEATH: "I present to you exactly who I am, wearing only my true face for all to see. What are you, Quincy? That's what I want to know. I want to cut you open, dispose of all the lies, and sew you up again so that you can be... A real boy. Otherwise... For you dear Quincy? I suspect you'll only continue as you have for years and years to come until this place is finally forced to close its doors. No glitz, no glamour, no title reigns. Life does not reward frauds, take note of that." Deacon DEATH signature slight pause. Deacon DEATH: "So you see... If you want to avoid a future of perpetual losses and only the means to contend for the Fighting Spirit Championship... You must shed this ugly delusion that you are a somebody, that you are a bonafied star. Because... You are not, Quincy, you are not a speck of what you believe yourself to be. I wonder... Do you hear the laughs from the rest of the roster as you come back to the locker room? Do you sense the pity and regret those around you have for you? You're a mockery, Quincy Wilson. A mockery that I intend to beat and maim. Maybe, just maybe... That head of yours needs to be re-adjusted. Maybe... All you need is a little bit of... Shining DEATH to get you working right again. So take heed of my words, Wilson, and at ReVolt I'll do all I can to help you. By driving the end of my boot into your head repeatedly." The scene ends on these words, a bizarre picture left for the viewing audience to take in as DEATH and his followers from a circle within the circle. Their hands clasped together and the beginnings of a mystical chant escaping from the lips of The Red Queen, Gaia. |

THE BADDEST SOB IN FIW

Quincy Wilson stares at a photo of the Dual Crown Championship, he stares at it longingly as if he has no awareness the camera is staring him down. Quincy stands in a classy all black ensemble the suit is definitely tailored to his liking. The FIW Bad Boy seems to be have a presence unlike others inside FIW. He reaches into his breast pocket and pulls out a lighter igniting the photo into an inferno and watching it burn until it's simply ash on the expensive wooden floors. Alongside him in this room are Black Panthers and Members of The Nation of Islam. Quincy Wilson: This business will burn you like nothing else. It will leave you with third degree burns that no amount of treatment and skin grafts will heal. This business will rip your skin from your body. And leave you standing inside a room burned. Many years ago they burned crosses and churches but now they burn us much deeper. The Black Assassin walks as the camera pans still roaring back to the ashes left on the floor. Quincy Wilson: Deacon Death is a heartless monster whose going to go out to the ring with one goal in mind. To physically try and break me down and hurt me. Normally people like that have an advantage in any match. But you see I've been burned. So while he worries about weather or not I'm a star I continue planning his demise. If I were Deacon Death I would be afraid to show up to Revolt. Fear is such a strong emotion Quincy reaches into his breast pocket this time removing a Cuban Cigar and lighting it up. Quincy Wilson: Deacon Death should fear me! I bet you're all surprised by that statement. But Deacon you should fear me because I'm the guy that can stop you from making it to the Dual Crown Championship match that you covet so much. Laugh all you want at the thought but you not only have to face me at Revolt but you have to face me at Rise of a Legend before you get that Dual Crown title shot. And Death you may not know what I'm capable off but believe me I'm not above injuring a man so he can't compete. The FIW Bad Boy stops infront of a sliding glass door waiting for someone to open it for him as he steps out onto a balcony overlooking Memphis, TN. Quincy Wilson: In this very city another famous black man stood on a balcony and got his brains blew clear out his head. You know why? He wasn't vicious enough! A great man once said "By Any Means Necessary" and with it being black history month I think there's no better time then now to full implement just that strategy. So I hope you and your squad of ghouls are getting all your magic potions ready I hope your killing all the dogs you can kill. Because when it comes time for us to get into that ring at Revolt you're going to be facing one of the few men in this business that can throw you around like a rag doll. A chuckle emerges from Quincy as he blows smoke into the Memphis sky. Quincy Wilson: Punch, Kick, Suplex, ugh I think you get the gist. I've never looked forward to a wrestling match so much in all my life. Last time we faced each other I beat you but this time I'm going to knock you out. Don't forget Death punch, kick, suplex over and over until you can't compete. The smoke continues to flow into the air. Quincy Wilson: Death I wish you understood me. But since you don't I'm going to show you the real Quincy Wilson. Glitz, Glamour, Pageantry, and Action. Because now that you've let all the people know everything I'm not they'll love just who I am. He drops the cigar from his hand. Quincy Wilson: Just remember on a month like this Black History Month. I just might be the guy to climb The Summit against you. See you at Revolt! The scene fades out with Quincy walking away. |
