McGinnis seemed to have a lot on his mind lately, but for a familiar face he had to put this aside. He'd approach a door, hoping he had picked the right room before knocking rather loudly. "Aye, It's Cody... you in there man?" After a few moments of silence, a voice sounds from the other side. "Yeah. I'm here." Cody had peeked his head in upon opening the door, his tone of voice lighter than usual. Guess that was him trying to be comforting or something like that. "Hey man, how ya doin'?" He immediately began thinking about how that question could be bad for the situation. Johnny, sitting on the bench in front of a low of lockers, looks up from his phone and shrugs his shoulders. "Everything cool?" "Besides me wanting to hurt Scott Knight and having no idea on how to talk to girls, I'm fine." He had more problems than that, but decided not to talk about it. Taking a seat next to Johnny, McGinnis looked over too him. "Just thought I should check up on ya, that's what friends do... right?" Johnny chuckles. Cody seems to at least have lightened Johnny's mood a pinch. "Yeah, that is what friends do. Apparently I suck at that part." He sets his phone aside and gives it the slightest push away from him. "So what do you need help with first? Scott Knight or talking to girls? Because from what I've seen you don't need help in the ring. And from the looks of you, I can't imagine you've got problems with girls." "I'm gonna tell you the truth, not much changed about me since high school" He chuckled, finding his little joke kinda funny. Johnny smiles. "I think we all sort of stay the same after high school. Even if we try the hardest to change it." He shrugs his shoulders and gives Cody a pat on the shoulder. "I really think you don't have anything to worry about at all. I'm sure you've got Scott Knight covered and just let the girls handle everything else. I think it'll be fine. "Hey, I know our opponents are kinda... asses so, I got your back you got mine?" McGinnis would raise a fist, hoping for a modified version of a fist bump. Johnny eyes it for a moment, a tad skeptical, and bumps fists. "Yeah, okay. I'll try this again." Johnny chuckles at his own comment, but it's not a fond memory that he's referencing. McGinnis would join in, the scene fading to black as the two shared a laugh. |
