The scene opens with a clip of Anthony Royal being pinned in tag team action a week ago. After the ref’s hand smacks the mat for a third time, we hear a faint clicking sound and the screen goes back. The camera then pans around to reveal Anthony Royal sitting on a black, leather couch with a remote control in hand. He tosses the remote aside and shakes his head in disgust. Royal: Overconfidence and underestimation. Those were my sins last week, and they cost me dearly. But this is not a mistake I will make again. Again, Royal shakes his head. Royal: So, congratulations, Mr. Amazing. I called you out on your focus and your ability, and you proved me wrong. Bravo. Royal gives a mock round of applause for Johnny Amazing. Royal: Although, I don’t see how you could possibly take pride in such a tainted victory. I mean, if we look at this objectively, this was a glorified handicap match, considering the fact that I had a worthless pile of cow dung strapped to my back weighing me down in the form of Darian Gray. The man was so utterly arrogant, he refused to lift a finger to give me the assistance I needed. Royal shoots the camera an angry glare, ignoring that fact that it was HE who insisted on starting the tag match, and HE who refused time and time again to tag Darian in. However, he places the blame on Darian Gray with such conviction that it seems as if that is actually who he truly believes to be at fault in his warped mind. Royal: But this week, there is no worry of incompetent tag team partners, there is no man advantage, there’s just me against you, one on one. And it’s No Holds Barred. And what that means is opportunity for me, and disaster for you. You see Johnny, I know I underestimated you last week, but now I know the real you. Now I know what you’re truly made of. You’ve got talent. And that’s not just an empty platitude, I mean you’ve got more talent in your little finger than most guys have in their entire bodies, to use a cliché. You’ve got it all. The fans love you. You seem to be riding a wave of momentum that could carry you right to the top around here. But, what would happen if all that positive momentum were to just be halted? Say, by a maniacal, twisted, almost sociopathic monster of a man whom not only wants to beat you, but wants to utterly humiliate you. Namely, me. Royal points to himself and smirks. Royal: I was embarrassed last week Johnny, I’m man enough to admit it. But, I don’t take kindly to being embarrassed, and the fact that I only had to wait a mere week to rectify my embarrassment, that makes me smile. What better way to shed my embarrassment than by taking a man with such a bright future, and darkening that future forever. I’m not coming to beat you Johnny. Honestly, win, lose or draw, I don’t give a damn. I just want to hurt you. I want to hurt you badly. I want your blood to stain my hands. I want to take your neck a snap it in half like a piece of rotted wood. I want to toy with you a torture you, the way a cat bats around a mouse, before finally going in for the kill. Johnny, the emotional pain you put me through by causing my humiliation, I want to put you through that same level of physical pain. And there is nothing that can stop me, because there are no rules to which I must adhere. The referee will be able to do nothing but watch and cringe as I ruin your promising career. You will regret the day you ever crossed my path Johnny Amazing. You will wish you would have simply laid down last week. Because I am going to haunt you for the rest of your pathetic life. I promise you that. After our encounter this week, the only thing that is going to be “Amazing” about you is if you ever manage walk again. Royal gives the camera a blank, cold stare before a sinister smile creeps across his face. Royal: See you soon, Johnny. With that, Royal lets out a laugh as the scene fades to black. OOC: Apologies to the handler of Johnny Amazing short on time this week. |

[OOC: No worries. :)] When we fade back in from black, Johnny Amazing is standing in front of the camera. He's holding his hands out open in front of him and there's a slightly confused expression on his face. "Sooooo, let me get this straight. Are you wanting to hurt me?" A moment for that to settle in. Johnny pops off a grin after said moment. He chuckles to himself and shrugs his hands back down at his sides. "Hey, listen, man. I get it. I do. You were embarrassed and you have every right to feel humiliated. But let's be honest. That shit wasn't my fault." He places a hand to his chest and shakes his head to absolve himself of all the blame. "You lost because of your overconfidence and your underestimation. Those were your words. Do they sound a little familiar?" Johnny tugs at his ear and let's the question settle in the air for a moment. "And you mention pride as well. Yeah, I take pride in any victory that I took the right way. I didn't cheat in that match. I wrestled my opponent and I followed every rule in the book. That's how I wrestle. Your pride, however, that was the problem. Darian Gray is a man who doesn't take kindly to being overlooked. He's a violent man and everybody knows this. You poked the bear and that was your mistake." With a shake of the head, Johnny glances off camera for a moment. He shrugs his shoulders and brings his attention back to the viewers. "Let me ask you a question. If I had made a mistake and, say, forgot to tie one of my boots before the match. Say I tripped on my shoe lace and it led to you pinning me. Would that be your fault or mine? Don't bother answering. You would have taken advantage of the situation, you would have taken the victory, and it would have been my lesson to learn. So, be a man, Royal. Be a man, learn your lesson, and become a better person. Lord knows you've got a ways to go." I dare say! Johnny is claiming that Anthony Royal isn't a good person. He even has a little chuckle over the insult. "But I look forward to this week. I look forward to you wanting to humiliate me. I welcome you to try and end my career this week. Trust me, I may like to make jokes but I've got a lot of pent up aggression within me. I'm ready to let some of it out in a healthy manner. So, I'm not going to try and end your career. I'm not even going to try and hurt you. But I am going to fight you. I'm going to beat you. And it's going to be Amazing." Johnny flashes a dazzling white smile as we fade to black. |
