[The scene opens with Mungrel sitting on a private bus, a tour bus, behind him passes the Oklahoma countryside. With his arms spread over the back of the couch that we find him, he looks relaxed. To accompany that relaxed vibe, like his Mr. Happy singlet, he smiling a wonderfully wide smile] Mungrel: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOk-lahoma, where I come to play in the sky. [If it was possible the smile widens] Mungrel: Last week I got, ok, took another kiss from Kim but honestly I think I caught her by surprise and really put her on the spot because it was barely, only barely better than the week before. [The smile becomes a sly smirk] Mungrel: I now realise why she skimped on the tongue the first time, she doesn't really seem to know what to do with it. I shouldn't complain too much though, she is trying and it did help get the job done. [He falls back into his memory and we can see that he relives the Come In Spinner by the faint movements of his shoulder] Mungrel: Oh abhorrent addict, oh debauched drunk, oh foolish failure. [He looks at the camera] Mungrel: No booze, sweet intoxicating C.H. Three C.H. Two O.H. [He licks his lips after saying the molecular structure of ethanol] Mungrel: I beat Nathaniel. Clean and sober. I beat Nathaniel. Sans liquid talent. I beat Nathaniel. [His smile returns when mentioning liquid talent] Mungrel: So Nathaniel how are you doing? Eh? I don't mean how is head and neck feeling after getting taken down with the Come In Spinner. I mean how does it feel knowing that the guy you thought was done, on his way down and out managed to take the win? [He leans forward and stares at the camera for a moment, trying to catch a glimpse of Nathaniel though the lens] Mungrel: Does it sting? Does it make you want to take a drink or twenty to try and forget it? Do you need me to pick up that commiseration tab you offered me? [His smile grows] Mungrel: Do you feel just a little bit pissed? [Double meaning get it?] Mungrel: Should I be worried that come Fallout I'm stepping into the ring with two people that don't like me, hate me, despise me? [He waits for a moment] Mungrel: I probably should be worried. I mean you're a veteran of the business, well all three of us are but you, your six foot seven and three hundred and some pounds. [Worry seems to start creeping in] Mungrel: Maxime, what he lacks in stature he makes up for in arm drags. [That worry becomes more prominent] Mungrel: I could be in real trouble, dealing with two less than pleased opponents. I should be worried that I'm stepping into a situation that could quickly become two on one, that I might find myself on the mat with no way to protect myself from stomps, kicks, punches, elbows and knees. [He forgot the lions, tigers and bears but he looks like me might be worried about them] Mungrel: I should be terrified that this could be the end of my career, back to rehab but not for drinking but to relearn how to move. [The worry sets in firm and he pauses for a moment looking around the bus] Mungrel: I should be. [He says under his breath. He leans back stares at the ceiling for a while before repeating] Mungrel: I should be. [We can all see what's coming right?] Mungrel: But. [There it is. He lowers his gaze from the ceiling to the camera and there is that wide beaming smile once more] Mungrel: I should be worried about all of that but I'm not. I should be terrified. I should be trying to come up with ways to try and survive the match. I'm not and why is that? [Matt Murdock?] Mungrel: I'm EXCITED! [Big Kev? Strange I could have sworn-] Mungrel: I'm FIW's Man Without Fear [There it is] Mungrel: and that lack of fear has me thinking not of the hurt, the pain, the torment but of the heights, the laughs and the crowd. The crowd: screaming, gasping, cheering. [He pauses for a moment to relive the moments of elation he has experienced with the arena crowds] Mungrel: It really is the perfect chance to steal the show to make everyone forget the worries and to give everyone something worth talking about: I mean Neo Carner versus death... DEATH! Doesn't need the competition because I'm not sure outside of the participants anyone gives an iota what happens but I'm going to give it something to try and live up to. [He smiles wide] Mungrel: I'm going to make the story of the King of Crows victory or fall a second thought and I'm going to do it at Fallout, at Rise of a Legend and every chance in between. If you lose Neo, if you fall, you don't need to thank me but your welcome but if you win, sorry. [But not sorry] Mungrel: How could I not top ReVolt and everything before me on Fallout? I mean I would hate to be booking the show after this because topping it will be difficult. [He pauses for a moment] Mungrel: On the left there is Nathaniel, the big man with a chip on his shoulder. On the right there is Maxime Rowley: arm drags, flips, the bastard that turned on me during a tag match than processed to attack me. [The anger of Max's betray during a match still sits somewhere in Mungrel's mind] Mungrel: In the middle is I. [He beams the smiles] Mungrel: The Entertainer. The Man Without Fear. SSSSMaCT. [The smile grows and excited energy builds] Mungrel: Hard hitting, high flying, drama is what I'll bring to that ring and it will be so much fun. Oh you're probably wondering where the drama will come from, well aside from the tension of who will win? Will it be now? No?! How did that not just end the match?! There is that story with Kim and her kissing? Will we kiss again? Will it be better? Should I kiss Nathaniel, Max, the ref or a member of the crowd for comparison? [Mungrel leans forwards] Mungrel: Could it be kisses for everyone?! [He pauses for a moment] Mungrel: Oh what good clean fun it will be. [End of Footage] |
