The shot opens up with a shaky phone camera recording Darian Gray sitting by himself in a club. He's either been there for awhile or he's trying to drown himself, judging by the glasses on the table in front of him. "The Portrait" rises from his "V.I.P. seating area" (realistically an empty booth), and heads up to the bar. He slaps his hand on the counter twice, alerting the bartender of his presence. Darian: I'll have another one of those. He looks back to his empty table, pointing at the empty glasses with his eyes. Bartender: Another? Don't you think you've had enough for one night, pal? Darian: I know when I've had enough! You... you idiot! His brain is clearly losing to the alcohol at this point. Surprisingly, for someone with such a temper, Gray was handling himself well. The bartender returns shortly with his drink, potentially afraid of being berated by the wrestler. Darian grabs his arm over the counter and looks him in the eyes. Darian: What the hell is this? I asked for a pint of McGinnis! Bartender: D-don't you mean a pint of Guinness? Darian awkwardly shifts, his face starting to grow red and his grip tightening. Darian: That's what I said, you fool! As Gray releases his grip, the bartender hurries away to get him the "correct" drink. In the short amount of time the "drink-fetcher", as Darian likes to call them, is away, Darian notices the person recording everything on their phone. He does nothing but stare blankly into it until his drink arrives. Darian raises the pint of Guinness to his lips, barely letting it touch. He then pulls it away and raises it above his head, throwing it onto the floor. The glass shatters, the liquid spills everywhere. Darian's found a new way to make a mess. Darian: Is that what you want? Is that what you want for your shitty recording? Gonna bring that back to your coworkers, your friends, your family?! It's pathetic how you uggos need to document every single waking moment of The Portrait's life. I know I'm the single most important thing on this planet, but give it a break... Bartender: Are you gonna clean that up sir..? The young bartender makes his first mistake in speaking out of turn. His second, and more significant, mistake is asking Darian to clean up any mess he's made. Darian: Am I going to clean that up?! What are you... insane? I don't need to clean that up! Because just like that pint of Guinness, Cody McGinnis will be left shattered and leaking out onto the floor. And I'm not going to clean him up either. I will leave "The Insane Hero" bleeding on the mat and I will leave my other opponent, Anthony Royal, just as broken and bruised as McGinnis will be. And you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to trot out of that ring as I always do. As a winner. And as the hardest hitting, best looking individual in the universe. By now, security has shown up. There's a guard on either side of Darian, forcing him into an uncomfortable position he's likely dealt with before. They simultaneously attempt to grab his arms and drag him out. He bats their hands away, beginning his long strides for the door. Darian: I can walk by myself, thank you very much! As he heads out, he slaps the phone out of the person's hands. All that can be heard is Darian's laughter and loud footsteps as he exits. |
