The scene begins with a shot from the parking lot outside of AT&T Stadium. It’s late, after midnight to be exact, and the camera spins around to show it is being held by the Resident Evil Bastard of FIW, Mad Dawg. He looks into the camera with a scowl. Mad Dawg: “Just a couple months ago, I never would have thought I would be sitting on the hood of my ’69 Impala just outside of the stadium that will hold what could be the biggest event in FIW history. I was sitting in a box for twenty-three hours a day, locked inside like a caged animal. All my life I’ve lived by my own rules but now I had dickheads with a chip on their shoulders telling me when I could eat, sleep, and shit. But I didn’t hate them for it. I didn’t hate the rest of the population whose very presence annoyed the living hell out of me. Instead I kept all of that hate bottled up just so I could unleash it on the two men who were responsible for me being locked in there in the first place. Quincy Wilson and James Schwartz.” He pauses to take a deep breath. Mad Dawg: “So you would imagine my surprise when I was suddenly released and brought into a room where Mrs. Suzanne Schwartz was waiting with a number of lawyers. She then explained that she had convinced them that no crime had ever been committed and in fact the ambulance incident was an absolute work for television. She showed them the evidence they needed and with that and the fact that it is the wife of the man who pressed charges on me vouching for me, I was let go scott free.” A small smirk starts to creep in. Mad Dawg: “So now I finally will get to relieve some of that rage that has been building for so long and it would only be fitting that it’s Quincy Wilson who will be on the other side of that ring. Because it’s going to be a special kind of ass whipping that I’ll have in store for Quincy. The two of us have a long history and this Monday another chapter will be written.” Mad Dawg slowly begins to chuckle. Mad Dawg: “Quincy, when you walked into that room to see me while I was in prison, I wanted so bad to wrap those chains around your throat and snap your fucking neck. But now I’m actually happy that I couldn’t because now I get you in the ring this Monday. Because I would have gotten a shit load of time added to my sentence but everything I do to you in that ring is going to be perfectly legal. I’m going to make sure you regret ever using me to make your statement. And as a matter of fact, I’m going to return the favor. Because at Rise of a Legend, I’m going to use you to make a statement and that statement is that the Dawg is officially back to full form.” The small smirk on Mad Dawg’s face slowly fades back into the original scowl. Mad Dawg: “It’s been nearly four fucking years since I first stepped into this company. I’ve had good times, I’ve had bad times, I’ve held the Undisputed International Championship, but I’ve only had one opportunity at the Dual Crown Championship. And that quest begins with me pummeling Quincy Wilson until there’s nothing left but a broken shell of his former self.” “Because Quincy, you’ve allowed your ego to get the best of you. Don’t get me wrong, Que I know fully well what you are capable of. I know you’re no push over. But you let all of that think you’ve become unstoppable. You surrounded yourself with the Summit and this Monday I destroy the Summit from within its own core.” Mad Dawg looks back to the stadium in the background. Mad Dawg: “I have always felt I was an instrument for destruction. And it has more times than not been for doing very bad things to mostly good people. But this time I’m going to be doing very bad things to a bad person who deserves it. And something about that just feels…right.” Mad Dawg smiles one final time before he shuts the camera off. |
