The cameras cut backstage to gorilla position Johnny Amazing has just defeated Summit member Mark Cannon as Quincy Wilson stands at a table with a bunch of FIW staff members no entourage appears around the FIW Bad Boy. He’s still in his ring gear with somber look on his face one would wonder if the loss to Mad Dawg earlier in the night is bothering him or the fact that Mark Cannon just loss. Quincy smiles as a sweating Johnny Amazing walks through the curtain. Quincy looks across as the young wrestler with a big smile and he begins loudly clapping for the FIW rookie the staff members around begin to clap also as everyone celebrates Johnny’s victory. Quincy approaches Johnny with a pretty serious look on his face. Quincy Wilson: You know when I first met you in that parking lot lemme just say I don’t stop for many people. I’d like to tell you that I stopped because I wanted to be some good Samaritan. But that just ain’t me. I stopped in that parking lot because I knew you were going to be a star and if you just had the right kind of people around you I knew you’d tear this place apart. Quincy places his hand on the shoulder of Johnny in what seems to be a proud moment. Quincy Wilson: I’m happy you got that monkey off you back out there. I considered coming to your locker room and giving you a little talk but the more I thought about the bigger the vibes got before this show in front of that kind of crowd I thought I’d let you swim in the deep water by yourself no help from The Bad Guy you didn’t need any distractions. He removes his hand and continues to stare at Johnny. A look off sadness rolls across the face off Quincy. Quincy Wilson: You’re not a rookie anymore kid! Doesn’t mean I won’t help you anymore and it damn sure doesn’t mean I don’t like you now. But the kid gloves are off. You and me both know any other wrestler is facing Mark Cannon and they don’t get to walk backstage tonight. They cart them out on a stretcher. But because you’re you I sit back and watch. That time is over kid now it’s time for you to hit the big time. Quincy hands Johnny a big Gold Chain that says Summit. Quincy Wilson: Stand with me and take your rightful place in The Summit. Johnny stares down at the chain for a moment, almost as if his brain hasn't caught up with everything that's happened in him in the last few minutes. From headbutting Mark off the top of the cage, delivering a cage-high Free Sail for the victory, and then seeing Mark carted off on a stretcher to right now standing with the leader of the Summit and a golden ticket into the group... Johnny needs a minute. Johnny: "What about Mark?" He stares at the chain a moment longer and then looks around as if he'll see Mark nearby. He's off somewhere with the EMTs loaded into an ambulance and on his way to the hospital right now. So eventually Johnny looks at at Quincy. Johnny: "If I'm in the Summit... then where's Mark?" Johnny asks the question in a way that says he isn't sure what he wants the answer to be to the question. Is there even a right or wrong answer?[/color] Quincy Wilson: You and me both know you've always been my first choice. Quincy takes a step the arena is absolutely buzzing as a landmark event in the history of FIW has just ended. Quincy Wilson: You should decide what happens with Mark kid. I trust your mind you decide! A smile rolls across the face of Quincy Wilson as someone wearing a Summit t-shirt walking up to Quincy and handing him a cigar which Quincy lights up. Quincy Wilson: So you in a celebratory mood or you still trying to stay free off the good life? The younger Wilson brother looks at Johnny with a bit of admiration. Quincy Wilson: I hope you realize just how big this moment can be. Knowing how big the moment could be is likely the reason that Johnny is so quiet. His eyes stay mostly on the chain in his hand as he listens to Quincy's words and turns them over in his head. Johnny: "I'm, uh... I'm not quite ready to celebrate yet. I think I need some time alone. Just me and my thoughts, you know?" Johnny looks up at Quincy and offers him the best smile he can possibly muster. He actually takes the chain and puts in Quincy's hand. Johnny: "Go ahead and hold onto that. When I'm ready, I'll come and take it." His smile widens a bit as he calls back to Quincy's advice that Johnny's spot in the Summit is waiting for him to take it when he's ready. Johnny: "In the meantime, I'm glad nothing's changed between us. As far as I'm concerned, you and your brother are the Summit. Have been for a while. Me? I'm still climbing. But I appreciate you checking on me." Johnny pats Quincy on the shoulder as he passes by and continues down the hall. Quincy stares at Johnny walking away there is this intense sort of smile on his face. The guy who handed Quincy the Summit chain begins to point and laugh at Johnny Amazing. Quincy however interprets he's being laughed at and he reaches out and grabs the young man by the throat. Quincy Wilson: Am I funny to you? Do you think I'm some kind of joke? Obviously the man can't speak with Quincy's hands around his throat the scene ends with the man being thrown into the air by an angry Quincy. |
