The scene opens fading into a locker room in the Wells Fargo Arena in Arizona, to the sight of none other than Matt Impact doing crunches on the floor. Sweat pours down the sides of his face as he exhales loudly, following by a deep inhaling, and then another loud exhale. He’s wearing a black Matt Impact t-shirt, and gray basketball shorts, as he continues his crunches, and begins to even motivate himself a little as he does so. Impact: Going to get this god damn title shot… beaten Prime plenty of times before… I deserve this… I’m the next Dual Crown fuckin’ Champion!!! He gets one final crunch before collapsing to the floor with deep breaths of air. He gets up and lounges on a reclining chair in his locker room relaxing for a few seconds, this is when he notices the FIW camera and proceeds to cut a few words. Impact: Last Friday’s ReVolt was in a sense a success. Huh? Did we hear that right? Impact: Oh… sure it wasn’t the success I wanted. I wish I could be here before you with the FIW Dual Crown Championship around my shoulders, but it was a success in other terms. I got into the mind of Xtreme Kitten, I showed him Matt Impact is back and here to stay and I mean business. He thought he could just show up Friday night and go home with the easy win like he has for his past title matches, but I showed him otherwise. For every maneuver he had, I had a counter, for every strike he came at me with, I had a way to evade it, and for every time he thought he’d end me like he did at Anarchy in the UK, I showed him just how prepared and ready I was. A grin of cockiness comes across Impact’s face as he continues, showing that he surely is upset he didn’t win the belts, but he truly feels he fought the better match that night. Impact: I got into Xtreme Kitten’s head, he showed he really wasn’t prepared for my A-game that I was bringing, he was physically and mentally drained at the end of the night as I brought anger and fury over him. He may have retained his belts due to the sixty-minute time limit, but I won the mental warfare that night, and proved that for every offense XK has, I had a defense. Now, I won’t lie at all, I one-hundred percent wish things would’ve gone a lot differently. For starters, I wish I had an extra minute after that Cradle Backdrop Driver to pin Xtreme Kitten for the three, which would’ve happened. All it would’ve taken was one extra minute, and I would’ve been Dual Crown Champion. XK, I’ve gotten so close, numerous times, but that definitely was the closest I’ve ever been, and I’m just curious to ask you, how does it feel to know your Dual Crown Championship is no longer safe, that you are indeed vulnerable, that you will soon be losing those belts? Wait… hush… don’t answer those questions, we will wait until Summer of Sin to answer those questions. With his cocky grin he nods his head with a one-hundred percent positive look in his eyes that he can definitely take the belts the next time he and Xtreme Kitten meet. Impact: Which brings me to this upcoming ReVolt. Prime, it appears you’re on your decline, yet again. You inconsistent son of a bitch, what’s new? Just like on Slam! after you won the world title, only to lose it eight days later. Just like at Anarchy in the UK, and on various ReVolts afterwards when you were a high contender for the Dual Crown Championship yet not once did you really come close to winning the belts. Well now, I’m positive Krähe and FIW staff members aren’t going to allow you to ruin their main event at Summer of Sin, they want to see every person involved in the match has a chance of winning the belt, and well, quite frankly, the fans, staff, and other wrestlers know you have no shot in winning and that your Roll the Dice victory was a fluke. That’s why I’m here, someone who damn near took the Dual Crown Championship last week, is a lot more viable as a contender than someone who couldn’t win a match if his opponent laid down for him and told him to pin him. So now, history will repeat itself... again. I’ll be taking your spot at Summer of Sin, and you’ll go curtain jerk for a chance to even be a Fighting Spirit Contender or some crap. And then, I’ll be coming for another shot at the kitty cat, and I hear Kiyoshi Nakahata will be in this match at Summer of Sin, this definitely shall be interesting, but let’s not look too far ahead into the future, and just focus on what’s upcoming. And Prime, that’s just history repeating itself, isn’t it? If you don’t learn from history, it is indeed doomed to repeat, and this Friday it will. Handle that Impact. He shows the camera man to the door as the scene slowly fades out to nothingness. |
