It is, for once, the turn Mr. Fighting Spirit, Kiyoshi Nakahata to get himself a proper, old fashioned stand up interview. Today, it seems he's fallen into Toby Bostock's trap; a non-descript corridor backstage somewhere in the depths of the Wells Fargo Arena. Not much else is really required in the way of scene-setting, Kiyoshi is as well-dressed as he ever is when he reaches the arena. He plays with his sunglasses in his free hand,* more out of habit than anything else, but as always, there's a hint of boredom. No boredom exists on Toby Bostock's face. He is, it seems rather excited to talk to the man,** and it's with great pleasure he gets to the introduction. Toby: Ladies and Gentlemen, we're here at the University of Arizona, preparing for ReVolt, and I have with me one of the last great warriors, the Judo Sensei, Nakahata Kiyoshi! Who looks slightly embarassed by the bombastic introduction, but manages a nod, and a weak smile. Toby: Nice to see you again, Nakahata-san. It's been a while, huh? Another nod is all he gets. Toby: Well, first thing's first, last week. No offense, but you didn't seem to interested at all in it. Kiyoshi: Unfortunately, no. I was not. Still, my most sincere congratulations to the Extreme Ninja, and I wish him well when his time comes. Cold. Again. It kind of throws Toby off track a little, but like a good interviewer, he recovers, and he does it quickly. Toby: Well, Don't suppose I'm going to get more out of you on that one, what about this week? Another mess of a match for you, three way tag team... Well, Chaos is the only word I can think for it. Kiyoshi: Indeed. As ever, no elaboration. Any detail is going to have to be forced out. Or possibly gently pulled. Toby: And, as it always is in FIW, there's so much to talk about. The controversy surrounding Ethan Adams, your partner. The White Haired Warrior rolls his eyes. Kiyoshi: One of the main reasons he has his job is, or perhaps now that should be 'was,' his impressive physique. But, since it now turns out that he has somewhat dubious means to achieve that, I personally wonder why he still has that job. It is an insult to everyone who contented themselves with legal methods of self improvement. Toby: Like Martial Arts? Kiyoshi: Like Martial Arts; like proper training every day; like a wrestling style based on some kind of fighting, as opposed to a form of gymnastics. Anything. Looks like Kiyoshi doesn't have too many nice things about him. Moving swiftly on... Toby: So what do you make of the war of words between Night-mare*** and the Dual Crown Champion, XK? Kiyoshi: A waste of time. A painfully loud waste of time. Night-mare is all hot air, as anyone here should know. If I were XK, I would be ignoring the man. For all I have said against Ethan Adams, I believe him capable of dealing with Night-mare. Toby: And what of XK? The slightly unwilling subject of the interview shrugs his shoulders. Kiyoshi: His perogative, I suppose. Until someone grinds his face into the dirt, we will continue running his mouth. He has caused no real offense with his words so far. Toby: But what about his mis- Kiyoshi: I said he caused no real offense. He did raise a valid point though. A weak challenger will not help the Summer of Sin. He and Madrox should be careful this week. Night-mare and Grant Rice are an irrelevance. The Dual Crown Champion's team is not. Toby: Going for them then? The former FSC grins, and says, without too much conviction; Kiyoshi: White Hole Slam, Dojime Sleeper. Not even a chance for a count of three. Only Kitten or Madrox will do. It has been fun, as always, Bostock-san; Until Friday. All that remains... And that's that. He doesn't even wait to finish. [size0]* The other holds his bag. ** This is possibly more the coversation they have off camera. Kiyoshi has been known to sort Toby out with anime figures and plush dolls. *** Yes, Toby subconciously emulates Kiyoshi's way of saying Nightuhmare. |
