Opening up a door, a lengthy haired blond enters a club. A club that is hardly lit to match the dark outside. No one coming in wishes to be blinded by nothing but the girls hot dancing moves on stage. This one blond who takes up the center view of the shot walks past a table surrounded by several men in suits. Dragging her hand over the shoulders of the one closest, and the biggest, the woman only turns around later on to see if her attempts have brought the man a smile. Seeing that it does, Roxie sends Alfredo a wave before turning back around to continue on through the club. Seeing someone off in the corner talking with a couple of girls, Roxie sends a wave which is returned by a Tony style smile. A smile that was warming and reassuring. One that he gave all the girls who worked for him. Turning her attention back to her path, Roxie spots a woman in mid dance up on stage sliding her back down a pole. The girl sends a smile towards Roxie which is returned in kind. The dancer turns her attention back to the drunken bikers as she pushes her hair up before giving them a sneak peek of south. Pulling open a curtain, Roxie continues to walk forward down a hallway lined with a few decorated doors reserved for private parties. Mostly, these parties consisted of a single individual and one of the girls. Other than that, Roxie frequented them for some private time with Vicky. The hallway, with red carpet and white walls, is well lit. Quite possibly the only place that is lit in this entire building in such a way. Even Tony's office is shrouded in darkness when he isn't in there. People say that it still uses the same bulbs that were put in there by the electrician when he wired the place years ago. At the end of the hall is a pink door that was painted by some of the girls. Two, mostly. Claire and Eliza. The door itself is covered by hearts with the names of all the girls who came in to dance on the stage. Roxie drags her finger across it and finds her heart in the upper left corner, tilted so the point faced the door knob. There have been times when drunks would come in thinking it was some harem set up for special occasions...they were quickly reminded of their mistake. This is, in actuality, the dressing room for the girls. They all shared one room. And why not? There isn't anything in that room that no other girl had ever sen before. Roxie twists the nob and gives it a couple of fast knocks followed by two short ones. Roxie waits to hear if anything is going on, but when she hears nothing, she fully turns the knob and walks in. If she had heard a knock, she would have turned around and waited. Some girls liked their privacy, even in a club such as this, and all other girls respected it. That's why they introduced the knock system. Mainly as a way to keep drunks out, they would lock the door. It was an awkward system, but it worked. there hasn't been a drunk barge in since Joey turned age.

Roxie enters the dressing room and closes the door behind her. Just Claire and Eliza right now, like always, dressing up their faces. Both girls send Roxie a smile through their reflections as Roxie gives them a quick smile and wave. The room itself is rather large. The wall is either covered in mirrors or closet doors. Each mirror has a desk and two chairs in front of it with lights surrounding it. The carpet is a soft pink, both in color and texture. Soft enough to walk barefoot and not feel uncomfortable. The middle of the room is clear and mainly used as a traffic area. On the back of the door is a schedule set up by the girls who request time, take time, and trade time. There are two schedules, each for two weeks time. A light blue and a pink one. The light blue are for those who come in to dance during the day. Younger girls who train at dance academies and have time off. They usually come here to gain experience and test a few moves. Up until a few weeks ago, there hasn't been a problem from any customer wanting more from these girls. But ever since that event involving the "Red Devil", as the girls call him, no biker has come back expecting more from the day time dancers. Roxie, as a part of the night dancers, was expected to show off a little more skin. She was never one to get totally naked, or even halfway. Which meant she never worked Saturday or Sunday nights. She wasn't the only one, though. The girl on stage never worked Sunday nights. Saturday was topless while Sunday was known as "The Full Monty". Tony's contribution to "The Lord's Day" was to pay homage to Eve who was naked to begin with. Even still, Roxie never wanted to work such nights. Besides, chances are Louie would never look at her again. In Louie's eyes, if you're going to take your clothes off on stage, the next step would be to fuck one of the drunks who watched. Roxie understood this quite well and agreed. Though she didn't tell any of the girls who did work the weekend evenings. But not to say she hated the for doing it, she realized that they had no care in the world and loved the fact that they loved doing it. She, though, was quite comfortable doing things the way she did them.

After looking at the schedule, Roxie spots that she's on in about an hour. Perfect. Just enough time to get herself dressed and ready. Roxie turns towards the middle of the room and looks at all the closet doors one at a time. Each one carrying seperate outfits. From nightclub to teacher, together they all carried a wide variety. Roxie's personal favorite was the teacher. She though it was more sexy to come out looking as though you had a dignified past only to leave carrying those clothes of dignity under your arm with a smile on your face. It's really one of those charges she gets when she dances. One night she came out dressed as a gangster. That was on the night Louie won his second world title. It was a victory not only for him and the family, but those that were outwards from the family though had their ties. They all worked hard to make sure Louie won and when he did, Roxie did her best to help celebrate. That night, even Louie cracked a smile. Though that's something he denies, Roxie knows better. Maybe she would go out like that again. Roxie thinks about it but decides not to. It would take away from that special night. The next time she would dress as a gangster would be on an evening that would be much like that. Roxie hums a little thinking until she finally reaches out for a closet door. Opening it up, Roxie quickly jumps back when someone falls out. Roxie is ready to scream but finds that the person is instead not lying on the ground but hugging her. Roxie looks down at the girls brown hair and smiles while taking a few deep breaths as Claire and Eliza turn away from the mirror to look. The brunette raises her head and sends Roxie a smiling face. Roxie looks down at her and smiles back as she brings her in for another quick hug.

"Oh my god!" Roxie nearly gasps out, still a little out of breath. "Vicky! You scared me!"

Roxie looks down into those hazel green eyes that seem so young and innocent, even compared to hers. Roxie herself was young and innocent, but looking into those eyes of her secret girlfriend, she finds that even her innocence doesn't compare. Looking into them, she feels more like her brother. Like in the relationship, she's the dominant one. It's not at all how she likes to feel, but every time she looks into her lovers eyes that's exactly the way she does feel. After all, Vicky was a scared girl walking into a new world when she met her. It started off as comfort and it grew to something much more; love. When she first found out that she loved Vicky, her first thought was that how would she react in her world. Roxie's world was full of violence. She was a fighter herself, her brother was a fighter, and her family had a mob mentality. This was certainly not a life she wanted Vicky to be involved in at first. At first. Vicky loved Roxie too and never wanted to leave her. She had felt the harshness of being alone in the world and never wanted to go through it again. She understood the darker passages Roxie walked through in her life and wasn't scared. She would walk these passages with her. The only problem was that she couldn't. Who knows how the others would react if they found out Roxie was a lesbian? Louie would go ballistic, that's for sure. But what about the others? Vinnie seemed a little disappointed, but seemed to approve. But that's Vinnie, a man who never really speaks. A man who was never asked anything. A man who seemed to bottle his emotions. He didn't drink, he just never seemed to release them to the rest of the family.

"I-I wanted..." Vicky's stammer gives Roxie a full reminder of just how innocent she is. "I wanted to see you."

Roxie looks down at her and smiles as she drags a couple of fingers through her thick, brown hair. Kissing her brow, Roxie takes notice that her girlfriend is slanted. Looking down beside her, down her white tank topped torso, down her light blue legs(pants), she finds that she rests on the top of her toes in the closet. The closets were a little heightened for whatever reason, probably for Vicky to rest on those landings. A quick feel of pain courses through Roxie as she thinks about what those toes are going through when she hears a loud thud. Just as quick, Roxie realizes that she was also being used to keep Vicky up and her sudden movement to the side shifted more weight onto the toes. Weight that she couldn't keep for more than two seconds as she crashes on the floor. Claire and Eliza rest their arms over the back of their chairs as they look on. Roxie quickly drops down to her knees to help Vicky up. By that time Vicky has made her way to her hands and knees. Unsure of how to help, Roxie places one arm around Vicky's back and lowers her head to face Vicky face to face.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" Roxie asks very concerned for her friends well being.

"Ow..." Is all that Vicky responds with.

Vicky continues to try and get up as Roxie helps her now rests her hand on her waist. Claire laughs a little before turning towards Eliza.

"If she did that he her opponent this week, I think we have a winner."

Claire starts laughing a little as Eliza soon joins in. Roxie is a little unsure about the laughter in the room but when she feels giggles coming from Vicky, she can't help but smile. Momentarily, she joins in. All three girls start giggling as Roxie releases Vicky. Vicky takes a couple steps back to gain her own space as the door opens. They were laughing so much they never heard the knocking code. The girl who was performing on stage enters. The Latino girl looks around the room and huffs a quick laugh wondering just what is going on.

"Yakuza?" Salvatore puts his glass down on the table after taking a quite drink. A little surprised, Salvatore looks across the table at his son Joey who was the first to bring it up.

Inside the club is a round table. The very same table Roxie passed by earlier on her way to the dressing room. Seated around it are the top brass of the Galanoochie family. Salvatore; the unnamed and unquestioned head of the family. Not many were around which means that to most he is unnamed, but Louie was when his father passed the head of the family position to his closest friend Salvatore before he passed away. Louie held no grudge about this. He was a hit man then and knew nothing of running a family. He had the determination, he just lacked the know how of running such a family. That was thirteen years ago and Louie still recognizes Salvatore as the head of the family. Over the years, everyone has grown to accept him as head of the family. Next to him was Louie "Two Tone" Galanoochie, Alfredo, Vinnie, and Joey. Tony was still off managing the girls who worked the day shift.

"Yea, I heard that they're somewhat involved in this company Roxie is in."

Joey turns his attention over towards Louie wondering if he had anything to say about that. Louie just glances over from him back to Salvatore. This comes as no surprise to Joey as he looks down letting out a quick sigh before turning his attention back to his father. Joey was slated as next in line to take control of the family. It wasn't something he really wanted, but after getting his approval from Louie, Joey decided to take as much opportunity to train himself in becoming one of the best family heads. It surprised Joey when he heard from Louie about the approval.

=-"If I just take hold of the family after Salvatore, then what does that say about your family? That you're nothing but a bunch of caretakers. Warming the seat for a Galanoochie. That's not me."-=

"Listen, Vinnie, take Roxie over after she performs and see what goes on. Anyone follow you, that sort of thing."

All eyes shift towards Vinnie after Salvatore lists his plan. Vinnie just nods as the meeting unceremoniously comes to a close with the departure of Salvatore. He's said all he has to say and therefore has heard all he has to hear. Alfredo is next to leave as he heads over to the buffet. Louie leaves and heads over to a separate table. A table built to seat one. That one always happens to be Louie, especially when Roxie is to perform. Joey rises from his seat and walks over to the buffet to talk with Alfredo as Vinnie remains seated. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small flip notebook. Flipping it open, Vinnie takes out a pen and after giving it a click, writes down a couple of lines in the book before putting it away. Vinnie takes a look around the club. Over by the buffet, Joey stands by Alfredo leaning against the glass of the buffet looking towards Louie. Alfredo's full attention is taken by the food that stretches itself in front of him.

"I'm not sure about any of this." Joey speaks in a low tone so that only he and Alfredo can hear. "Louie doesn't seem all that worried that there's Yakuza presence in this company Roxie's working for now."

"That's cause *gulp* ... he trusts here. He knows that she knows what she's doing." Between mouthfuls, this is what Alfredo gets out. "Besides, there's no direct Yakuza presence there. And if there was, you think they'd be wanting to mess with the Galanoochie family?"

Alfredo huffs a laugh as he pushes his elbow into Joey's stomach a couple of times. Joey doesn't share in the "good times" being presented by the larger man who takes a seat back at the table. Joey soon takes a seat across from Alfredo and waits for Roxie's show.

Fifteen minutes later, Roxie walks down through the club with Vinnie. Her dance was a success, like other nights...except that one night a few years back...and she was quite proud. Salvatore, Louie, and Joey were now gone as Tony stands behind the bar and Alfredo in front of the buffet. Roxie sends them a couple of waves telling them to watch her match against She-Dragon. They wish her luck as both she and Vinnie leave the club to approach the limo. Still a little ways away, Vinnie pulls out the remote and hits the button to start the ignition.

BOOM!!!

Vinnie flies backwards from the impact as Roxie quickly ducks herself down screaming. Moments later, people come busting out of the club to see what all the commotion is about as the flames rise towards the sky. Tony crouches down and helps Vinnie to his feet as Vicky grabs Roxie from behind making sure she's okay. Roxie, now with tears of fear turns toward Vicky and hugs her tightly glad to be alive as Vicky hugs her back looking towards the flaming car. Caught up in the emotion, Roxie looks Vicky deep in her hazel green eyes. Her former visions from looking into her eyes now gone, she no longer sees herself as the dominant one. Instead, she is reminded that she too is innocent. That she too is young. She now feels more love for Vicky than ever before in this moment. A moment where a sign has been made. A sign for what though? But in this moment, there's only one thing that comes to both girls minds. How much they truly love each other. How much they need each other.

kiss

In mid kiss, Roxie's eyes shoot open. She notices that Vicky has just thought of the same thing. Roxie's eyes follow Vicky's as she looks to the side to spy everyone from the club staring at them. For some reason they no longer look at the flaming limo and instead are watching Roxie kissing another girl. Still with lips pressed into her lovers, Roxie gets out one word.

"Damn..."
