"I can't believe the 'Red Devil' came back again last night." Claire speaks out while dusting above her eyes with a purple liner.

Beside her, Eliza nods her head not as a way of agreeing, but as a way of input. She was in the middle of performing a quick redening of her lips. Moments earlier, she had made mention of the "Red Devil" returning to the club. He had defended yet another girl from almost taking part in something that would've been against her will.

"Yea," Eliza begins closing the cap on her lipstick before smacking her lips together a couple of times. Eliza keeps glancing over at Claire through the mirror every now and then. "It was like totally awesome. He jumped the staged clear and kicked this guy in the head. He did it so suddenly the guy couldn't holster a proper grip on the girls shin. He crashed into some tables and that was when Tony stepped in. The 'Devil' said he sorry and left. The other guy chased after him. Moments later he came back in all beat up and apologized to the girl and Tony before leaving."

"Wow." Is all that Claire can say about all that. She had the night off when all of this took place so she had no idea what had happened. Eliza was working the floor so she had practically a front row seat.

Eliza suddenly turned to Claire, which was odd because the girls hardly made eye contact in the dressing room that didn't involve the use of a reflective surface. It's not that they couldn't stand looking at each other "live" like that, it was just the unquestioned way they were. "Um...do you think he'll ever save one of us?"

"Hm?" Claire replied looking back at the hopeful Eliza. Her blue eyes looked to the floor unsure that someone like her would be worth saving. Claire rests her hand on the shoulder of her friend. Eliza looks back up as Claire removes stray hairs from her face. With a smile, Claire responds, "Yea, I'm sure he would. He saved all them other girls, so why not us?"

Eliza soon starts to smile as well when suddenly Roxie enters the room. Both girls look towards her and smile. Roxie returns their kindly smile with an even kinder wave. And like that, talk about the "Red Devil" leaves the tongues of both girls. They tried talking about him with Roxie but she only gets this glazed look on her mixed in with a dreamy smile. It's funny to see, but the girls forgo this because they know that the kind wave is nothing but a charade. In truth, Roxie is a little upset about having to compete over the weekend. It was a weekend that she was really looking forward to. She and Vicky were going to spend their first night together. She can't really do it if she's expected to be somewhere else.

Roxie takes a hold of a small travel bag that she had pre-packed before performing. Roxie takes it with her and begins to walk out of the room.

"Good luck!" Claire calls out as Eliza gives Roxie's back a thoughtful look.

Outside in the hall, Roxie slumps her back against the wall and lets out a deep sigh of frustration. Over at the end of the hall, someone starts walking towards her wearing a business suit. Roxie looks over at the approaching Louie who leans his back against the wall beside her.

"So, leaving to go fight now?" Louie asks not really glancing at her.

"Yea..." Roxie starts off. Louie doesn't start talking again because he knows that tone of voice. Like he predicted to himself, Roxie turns to him. "Hey, Louie, did you ever have to go through something like this? I mean, I gave them a notice and yet they still expect me to compete. I mean, for the first few weeks they wouldn't book me, then they do in some dark match, now when I ask for at least one more weekend off, they give me this new match! Is there like no communication up there or somethin'? Man..."

Louie just nods a little after she's finished. She doesn't see the nod because she's slammed her back against the wall and now glares at the door she had just recently come out of. Finally, Roxie has had enough and pushes herself away before storming down the hall. Louie just watches her go and smiles.

"The punk Sane is dead. Time for them to see the Galanoochie spirit." Louie watches her until she disappears around the corner.

Continuing on, she passes by a couple of odd characters. One of them watches her go with a smile on his face. He soon looks back at his friend and pushes his eyebrows up a couple of times. His masked companion just shakes his head and looks back down at the table.

Stan: Man, you know that I'll be doin' that soon. Know what I mean? I--

As Stan tries to continue being what he considers "cool", Crackerjack looks beside him for a quick instant and notices Chester somewhat slouching in his chair. His arms drape over the back of it as his head rests on the top of the chair as well. Rolling it to face Stan, Chester lets out a low growl before pushing his head forward slamming it on the table. By now, Stan is either pretending to be holding an ass or squeezing two fresh loafs of bread. Chester slams his fist on the table beside his head a couple of times before looking back at Stan.

Chester: Would you please shut up?

Chester looks back at Crackerjack with a worried look on his face.

Chester: C'mon, by now you at least want to kill him as well! It's so easy, just reach over and give his throat a solid punch. No one here would care! Just reach out and BAM!

Crackerjack: If I can tune him out, so can you.

Chester: Alright, alright. I'm trying.

Chester sits there humming to himself as Stan continues now with an action that either has him drying his face off or pretending to be a wet dog. Either way, it seems to drive Chester insane...okay, more insane as he starts punching at Stan's head. All blows go through him as Chester starts now to whimper with each stroke. Finally, Chester stops and slaps his arms and face onto the table. Crackerjack just smiles because he has finally found a way to keep Chester from being annoying himself. Finally, Stan gives Crackerjack the "one second" sign and rises up. Crackerjack soon spots the bouncer making his rounds soon afterwards. Chester raises his head and looks beside him to find no more Stan Stevens. Chester smiles and closes his eyes before nodding his head. Crackerjack just shakes his head as Chester gives the table another quick slap.

Chester: Alright! Now, where were we?

Crackerjack: Nowhere. Unless you remember my match, then we're at the point where you go on and on about how I'm gonna "terrorize and mutilate everyone in there". Then I go on to explain that I'm just gonna fight my own way no matter what everyone says. Everyone is on their own because everyone involved are singles competitors. Then you start spouting off that the match is interesting because it has Kailey in it...yet again. You go on and say that the company is trying to tell me something in that I should forget Nell and turn to her. Then I say "well, maybe they just want me to kill her since they keep booking us together". Then you're massive intelligence shows as you say that I should "hook up with her and Rebecca to enter in some nasty threeway action so you can watch". So let's just cut out the middle man and instead just get the match over with. They've got me working as one of their champions so I guess my week off was denied because of it. Pisses me off, but oh well. Not like I had a lot to do this week. Anything I miss? Or did I cover our usual hour long pre match conversation?

Chester: Rebecca Hunter and Kailey Lane, that'd be some nice action I'd pay to see. Good job, Jackie boy. Why didn't I think of that?

Crackerjack: Believe me, I'm sure you already did at one point.

Crackerjack looks beyond the table and catches Stan being asked questions by the bouncer. No, not being asked, more like interrogated. Crackerjack ponders the thought of stepping in, but that would require more energy that what Stan's worth. Instead, he just sits back and drowns out Chester with thoughts of what the bouncer would do if no one else was around...especially with those brass knuckles he's wearing.
