We fade in, a very familiar scene in front of us. Grant Rice stands there, in front of the camera, dressed for battle... well, he's wearing what he wears to the ring, that being his battle, not a real battle with swords or guns or anything, though I think you already had that point before I just told you, my bad? Anyway, he stands there, looking like he's about to walk out onto the stage and prepare to do what he's done best. Gotta love that, a man of few words and no fancy tricks, says what's on his mind and then makes good on it. Though, I guess I should let you find out what's on his mind, you didn't come here for me, you came here for him... Grant Rice: So, The Revolution lost again... We get a pause, not like I couldn't see that one coming. Just like in the movies and such, always want to leave you hanging on a bad note. Grant Rice: I'm not going to dance around it, there's simply no need to. What could be said of these loses? Nothing more then a string of bad nights? Possibly. Maybe the months on end that The Revolution ruled FIW's Tag Team division finally went to their head, caused them to feel bigger then they really are? It's possible. I'm not going to go too deep into it though, because just as other sports, there's so many factors that can account for a loss. Hell, even the best of teams have to lose a few at some point, it's only natural. Grant pauses for a moment to take a breath as he lightly rubs his hair, maybe trying to make sure they're all in place and there isn't a couple stray ones making him look bad for all the ladies, though, I'm only guessing here. Grant Rice: So I guess the question then becomes, which direction will this week's coming Revolt lead... another embarrassing loss for The Revolution? Maybe it's on this night that things click again and The Revolution shows exactly what made them such a prominent name in Tag Team wrestling? Only time shall tell, I mean, it's not like I'm a psychic or anything, if you want one of those, go look up Miss Cleo's number. Grant cracks a smile, maybe he thinks he made a joke, the smile quickly fads though. Maybe he realized that Miss Cleo hasn't exactly been 'Recent News' for quite some time. Grant Rice: The only thing I'm sure of at this moment is, yes, despite the rumors I guess are flying around those wrestling news websites, The Revolution is still here. A few loses aren't going to make us tuck tail and run home, that's not what The Revolution is about. You all know we are fighters, we've made that very clear, so it is in these times that we shall stand and fight just as hard as if we just won the Tag Titles back, expect nothing less. We see a grin creep onto Rice's face, I'd expect nothing less then to see him show that somewhat cocky grin at least once. Grant Rice: You know, I read off the card for this week to myself, came to Night & I's match and I was left scratching my head. I'm sure one of the crew members who were lingering at the moment could attest to the fact that I literally muttered, "Who?" to myself. I know I'm gonna sound like a complete ass for that, but I don't care. Grant's head shakes, and not too surprisingly, it's in a rather "I don't care" manor. Grant Rice: Honestly, what have you done Shaun, why should I know your name? Zessy, only thing I really know and/or remember about you is who trained you, other then that your name completely slips my mind. The Revolution for nearly the past year has been a key fixture in the Tag Team division, whether it be us mowing through the assemble of teams placed in front of us as we built steam, or when we won the titles... we've been there. You could say that for nearly the past year, our name has been the FIW Tag Team division. Grant kind of laughs, maybe he's having a flashback in his mind of teams such as Hardcore SEX, I really wish they'd develop an accurate thoughts reader so I could know exactly what's going on in his head, that would be awesome, no more guess work. Grant Rice: I beg of you two though, shut me up. Show up this week ready to fight, to show me exactly why your name should be burned into my brain like when you remember to wash your hands after using the restroom. I seriously do, don't take that as a joke. Grant leans in closer to the camera, here comes the real 'dramatic' part, I'll bet ya. Grant Rice: I dare you, Shut.Me.Up! Grant grins a grin like no other, just taunting them, hoping they actually bring it. And he's off, he brushes past the cameraman and quickly out of view. |
