"She just...ran out of here. It looks like she was crying." Those words echo throughout the mind of young Roxie Galanoochie as she stands outside her apartment door. She lets out a small sigh and reaches into her purse for the keys. It takes Roxie a moment to realize that she is still in fact holding onto them. She freezes for only a moment before taking out the needed key. Opening the door, Roxie walks into the darkened apartment. She changes that last point as she reaches over and flicks on the switch just by the door. A light above her shines down now giving view of the hall and surrounding area. To her right is the kitchen, straight forward is the living room and doorway to one of the two spare rooms in the apartment. All three of which are still a little dark due to the still unavailability of light. Roxie lets out another sigh as she places her keys down on the counter while closing the door behind her. It's a long walk down the hall that Roxie keeps dark, at least for now. The door at the very end of the hall is closed with a faint blue light coming in from under it. Roxie reches for the knob and gives it a gentle twist. Pushing her body against the door lightly, Roxie opens the door and looks inside to find Vicky sitting on the bed staring at the television, her eyes watery from tears both previous and present. Roxie removes herself from the door and starts to walk towards Vicky. Vicky notices Roxie coming towards her and runs past her escaping the grip that was never tightened. As she does so, Vicky makes the noise of a small child escaping another wet kiss from a grandmother. Vicky almost shoves Roxie aside as she continues running out of the room and down the hall. Roxie only stands there watching her go silent. Silent not by choice, all words have escaped the blond haired fighter. Instead, all she can do is stand there and look towards the small monitor in their room. A frozen image of Roxie smiling while administering the Thumb Breaker to Justin Sane. A small gasp exits Roxie's mouth as she uses her hands to cover it. Two small, wet orbs appear beside her eyes as she grabs for the remote switching off the image. This was a time that she did not to have more destroyed of an image that was her yet at the same time wasn't. Pulling open the screen door Roxie walks out onto the deck and takes in some fresh air. Something she had been void of for the past few days. She has spent the last coupe of days trying to forget those awful memories only for it to be suddenly thrust upon her once more. With both forearms resting on the railing, Roxie lets the light wind drift through her golden locks just long enough to give her some thinking time. But her time is interrupted when she hears the living room screen door begin to open. Roxie, stunned, raises her head and looks over towards the larger entrance, compared to the one from the bedroom. Vicky stands there, still holding onto the door with her entire body on the inside save her fingers from her right hand. She looks over towards Roxie who watches back at her for a brief moment before nothing. Roxie looks down at the bright cityscape that the patio overlooks. Roxie can hear the door close and fears that Vicky is still mad. Though this fear leaves her when she feels the warm embrace of her lovers hand reach around and rest on her shoulders. Roxie rests her right hand on Vicky's left and lets out a small sigh as she looks over to her right to find Vicky standing there looking down at what her blond counterpart was just moments ago watching herself. "I'm..." Roxie begins as she looks down again from their four story apartment. Vicky is quick to interrupt. "Shh. I--I just want to enjoy the view. If that's okay." Roxie slowly responds with a simple nod. And like that, both girls stand there looking down at the cityscape for what seems like hours. But to them, it takes only mere minutes before one decides to continue speaking. "You really scared me." Startled just a little by the sudden interruption of their peaceful moment, Roxie looks towards Vicky who continues to look down at the city scenery below. "I'm sorry if I startled you earlier. I--I just didn't know what to think. I know that it's all part of your job, to fight like that," Roxie is taken most by that comment as Vicky continues, "but you still scared me. You didn't remind me of you at all." "Uh!" Roxie suddenly gets out still a little shocked to hear something like that from Vicky. Roxie looks down at Vicky who rests her chin into her now free arms onto the railing. "I'm sorry..." Roxie had a better speech lined up but she feels that those two words will be satisfactory at least. She hopes that she could have said more, but words have still escaped her. After a moment, Roxie leans her arms over the railing and looks out towards the brightly lit city. "It's just that I was so angry then, I didn't know what to do. I got scared, but instead of showing that I was scared I got angry. I know it sounds silly, but that;s what happened. This week I'm in the ring with even more people so the chances of me going berserk like I did last week should be smaller. A lot of them hope the same way. One of them even said that he wouldn't allow me to get to that point." Roxie suddenly stops when she feels something heavy resting on her arm. Looking down, she finds that Vicky is resting her head on the comfort of her lovers flesh. "Sounds nice..." Vicky barely manages to get even those two words out as she slowly begins to doze off. Roxie smiles down at her for a little while before helping her off the patio and into the bedroom where she rests her down the the bed. Vicky seems unaware of the change in scenery as she dozes off on the top of the sheets, her head resting facing the outside. Roxie sends her another smile as she begins to lay next to her. Not exactly the way she had envisioned her first sleepover with Vicky, but it's still good enough for her. Slowly, Roxie closes her eyes ready to get some rest before the busy day that is sure to come tomorrow. |
