A lavish set plays scene to the forth coming roleplay. Two comfy looking black leather arm chairs are occupied by men whose faces and reputations scream FIW iconography. In one, FIW's sit-down interviewer, Gunnar Leland. In the other, none other then the Evolution of Excellence, and the self procliamed Impact Player, Prime. The room is quiet and intimate as Leland leans forward and engages Prime in this exclusive one on one for all you folks out there in FIW.com land. Gunner: Prime, I'd first like to start by expressing my sincere thanks for coming in today. I know you're running a tight schedule these days, and all of us here would like to extend our heart-felt appreciations for affording us some of your very precious time. Though Gunner comes across as being very genuine, he's met with nothing but silence from the Evolution of Excellence. Prime sits quite still and postured on the edge of his seat while his hands are clasped tightly together and hanging in the air off his knee rested elbows. His jaw juts while his teeth are clenched tight and grind every now and then. The FIW Manster, in a word, is looking intense. Gunner: Well, like I said, your time is precious, so we'll move on... Gunner's obviously trying to break the ice with Prime, but the big man's clearly not in a mood for pleasentries or time wasting small talk. Meat and potatoes time, Leland! Gunner: First, I'd like to ask you about the time you've spent traveling and advocating on FIW's behalf while media the world over restlessly hammers sports, professional wrestling in particular, with accusations concerning a staggeringly overwhelming usage of performance enhancing drugs. Prime finally eases up a little. His posture relaxes some what and his hands come apart, but his eyes still stay away from Lelands. Prime: There isn't a whole lot to embelish on, Gunner. I volunteer myself to a fight that is very near and dear to my heart simply because I'm a victim of the steroid stigma myself. It's unspeakably disheartening to achieve so much both athletically and physically, you know..? To surpass the norm and reach much higher levels of physique and athleticism only to have the weight of unfounded accusation dropped on your shoulders from a very ruthless and merciless machine that is the media. Is this the same "'roid raging" SOB we all know as Prime?! Dude sounds kind of informed... dontcah think? Prime: So in effort to counter-act the power the media wields, I'm using my celebrity status to really get the ball rolling so that other athletes who have achieved as much as I have, but aren't as recognized as a public figure, aren't crushed by the same weight that they themselves shoulder as well. The fact of the matter, Gunner, is never have I ever used perfomance enhancing drugs... but the media doesn't hear that. I can say it, but I can never prove it as far as they're concerned. So I'm going to venture down the same avenues that the media uses. I'm going to flood the consumer world with fact, and it's going to be as in your face as everything else is. When the world media starts on another steroid witch hunt, I'm going to be there to fight back with the truth. Bottom line. Gunner looks quite impressed. So am I! Gunner: Well, it's a very noble cause you've aligned yourself with, Prime. And you should be very proud of yourself and the ground you've gained in this war on steroids. I'm quite sure FIW and it's world wide fan base are also quite proud of you too. Gunner offers Prime a sharp nod and proud-pappa smile before moving on. Gunner: Next, if I may, I'd like to touch on what is obviously a very delicate subject, that being the recent loss of your life-long mentor and friend, Max Midas... Just the mere mention of his name floods Primes eyes with tears. The big man fights them back, but one escapes and rolls down his cheek. Prime: Max was... Max was my world, Gunner. I mean, it's no secret that the man was like a father to me. And I guess it's no secret that I miss him everyday. He uh... he got me to where I'm at both professional and personally. You know, like when I needed a good kick in the ass, I could always count on Max being there with his size twelve ready to let loose. Prime cracks a smile and laughs inspite of himself. Prime: And when I needed a shoulder to lean on, Max was... Prime tries his hardest to bare down on shoulder shuddering sobs. Prime: Max was sturdy like a foundation. The man would set the whole world aside just for me. You really... you really don't ever find people like that anymore. And if you do, it's rare. That was Max... one in a million. And even tought he's not standing in my corner, he's still at the heart and soul of my life. I owe Max the world and more, and I hope that as he looks down one me from the best seats in the house that he can kudge those other wrestling greats up with him and say, there's my boy. Max was, in a word... my hero. Was and always will be. I feel the loss everyday, but I also pay tribute to the man I'm proud and honored to have known with everything I do in the business these days. Gunner leans forward to slip a word or two in. Gunner: Now that you mention the business these days... Prime dummies up and finally looks Gunners way. He's none too impressed too! Gunner: Despite your admirable professional tribute to Max Midas, your caraeer of late seems to be manipulated by another force. And it's a force that is obviously strong enough to have captured the attention and interest of the wrestling community... the ongoing and always controversial relationship you share with another of our FIW greats... Kennedy. Another name that draws an interesting reaction from Prime. This time, however, Prime looks more awkward than emotional. Gunner: Your interactions have been well documented, but many questions are still unanswered... may I ask, Prime, what is the relationship between you and Kennedy? Prime's none too impressed look hardens into a stern glare. Prime: With all due respect, Gunner... no, you can't. The fact of the matter is I'm not answering any questions about myself and Kennedy simply because I have no answers to offer. Bottom line, Gunner... you can thank the amazingly over-active imaginations of our net-jocky friends out there who love gritty gossip and half-truths, becaus they're the real force behind whatever story is getting spun out of control over a few mild interactions between myself and Kennedy! Did I hit Kennedy with that steel chair a few weeks back on ReVolt? Yea, I did... but did I mean to? Absolutly not. And before you jump to any conclusions, my involvment in that match wasn't based on some untapped feelings for Kennedy. It was because of some very openly expressed feelings concerning Xtreme Kitten and his untouchable reign as champ. His reign has run its course and it's time for a new champ. Seeing the lazy sum bitch wear the title the way he does strips all credability from it's lineage and really leaves a bad taste in a lot of mouths from both FIW's past and present. So I took matters into my own hands and I felt I had the oppertunity to do so. Yea, it was a hastey and irrational decision, but sometimes overwhelming feelings bring us to a place where stuff like that happens. Gunner: Much like the kiss at the Halloween party? Ooh... Gunner lands one right on Primes jaw. Prime pushes himself to the very edge of his seat and throws a finger in Lelands face. Prime: You wanna do this right now? You wanna trade all your credability as a journalist for some reputation as a dirt-bag gossip buzz then you be my guest, but I'll be God damned if I'm going to let a moment in time rul the rest of my career! What happened happened, but that doesn;t stop what's going to happen from happeneing, and what's going to happen is Hutch and I meeting this weekend at ReVolt! Gunner: With Kennedy as the special guest referee no less. Man... Lelands not giving up on the Kennedy issue! Prime: Bottom line, Leland... it doesn't matter if it's Kennedy in the ring as special guest ref this weekend or not. I could give a high holy crap who's officiating because my attention is directed at Hutch and Hutch alone! That sum bitch has been running his mouth at me for the past month and then some, and come ReVolt, I aim to shut his ass up one and for all! Pretty hard to spout off when your jaw's wired shut, don't you think?! So if all you want to do is sit here and talk about Kennedy, then I have no time left for you... you want to talk about Hutch, then I've got this much to say... Prime stands and looms over Gunner. Prime: Come ReVolt, Hutch is going to understand what people mean by eating your words, because I'm going to shove a month and a half of frustration and bullshit right down his shit-spewing throat! You want a story, Leland, I got it right here... Prime leans down, grabs ahold of Gunners shoulder, and gets right in his face. Gunner's looking a little uncomfortable to say the least. I'll bet you would be too if you had a three-hundred-plus pounder right in your grill too! Prime: November 16th... mark it on your calander, because next year you'll be remembering the day the Impact Player RETIRED FIW's so called MVP! Get your camera's ready, Leland, because come ReVolt... I am going to break Hutch in half! After putting Hutch on notice, Prime pushes awa from Leland and walks off the set in a rage. Leland, left alone now, sighs with relief. Close call, but that's obviously a risk he was wiling to take. Still... this time it could have been a little too close for comfirt! Especially when it concerns a man as unstable as Prime. What's this mean for ReVolt... and more importantly, what's this mean for Hutch?! *Fade* |
