Roxie arrives at the Palacio De Los Deportes with a small gym bag in one hand and a pair of sunglasses to keep, well, the sun from her eyes. Dressed perfectly for the somewhat warm weather, Roxie pushes her way through the front doors. At least she would if they were push. Felling a little embarrassed, Roxie pulls the glass door open before stepping inside where she comes face to face with a somewhat familiar figure. "Let's walk." Taking a few steps ahead, Rebecca Hunter presses onward leaving Roxie a little stunned in the entrance way. She's a little unsure at first of just what is going on but soon figures the best thing to do is to just follow after her. Maybe she's forgotten their little history together. Roxie cautiously approaches Rebecca from behind. "Don't think I've forgotten what's happened between us." Well, that sure answers that question if it were a question. Roxie suddenly gets that feeling of wishing she were back in Vegas but this damn match! Roxie curses the match as she follows closely behind Rebecca unsure of just where it is they're going. A few moments later the both of them stop almost at the same time. Although Roxie's is more of a jolted stop as opposed to Rebecca's sudden halt. It's one of those small halls that leads to a storage closet that the two are standing in when Rebecca turns around looking as though there's something she wants off of her chest. This time it isn't her bra. "Listen, I'm a professional--shut up..." Roxie, not even saying a word, looks around to see if there's someone else standing there. Nope, not even a janitor who's just watching them. No one to come and interrupt the two. "I..." Roxie starts off wanting to say she didn't say anything, but she feels that the one word does enough justice to give that meaning. "Sorry. Just that when I say that people often snicker for some reason. It's happened so much," Rebecca takes a moment to let out a sigh as she brushes her hair back with her forearm, "It's just become a reflex saying for me. Now where was I?" Rebecca actually has to stop for a moment to think about just what she was saying. It takes her a moment but she finally figures it out. Rebecca claps her hands together lightly looking down for a moment before bringing her head back up. "Right. Now, I'm willing to forget our previous engagements if you do a little something for me." "Okay..." "Now, just give me this one little inter--" Her words are stopped in a muffled haze as Roxie presses her lips against hers. For a brief instant, Rebecca lets out a squeak complete with a wide-eyed expression. Within a matter of milliseconds, she shoves Roxie back and wipes her mouth clean. "What are you doing? I just wanted an interview about Jaime!" Roxie, again wishing she were somewhere else, places both her hands in between the two and begins shaking her head. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! It was just a reflex. Whenever a girl says that to me, I just--" "Get the fuck away from me, you lesbian bitch!" Rebecca again wipes her mouth clean as she hurries past Roxie. Apparently, Rebecca was talking about herself if she was the one who left. Roxie remains behind a little freaked out unsure of what her next move should be. Should she leave now or later? If she left now it would seem that she was chasing after her, if she left later it might seem like she was lost in lust or whatever. She doesn't know, people see things so differently and now, now the hall was crowded. Not with an audience, but with workers who had just arrived. Clearly none had noticed Rebecca leaving. Either that or they didn't care. But if Roxie left, those that didn't care soon would. Roxie's only hope is that the door to the storage room is unlocked. Unfortunately it isn't. Just then, however, a mocking laugh echoes through the small hall as Roxie turns around to find Janine Morrigan standing there a coy smile on her face. "I can't believe you just did that." Roxie plants her fingers horizontally over her lips as Janine takes a few steps in toward her blocking her escape. Roxie would yell out, but for what reason? Although, did she need a reason to cause a distraction? One that might open a route to safety? Roxie thinks so and instead of just acting upon it, she thinks of hat a reason would be. "But I don't care. You should get yourself tested though, I hear those lips have a disease named after them." Was Janine not taking this opportunity to make fun of Roxie for embarrassing herself toward Rebecca again? Or was it just that Rebecca was such an easy target for Janine to pick on? Either way, Roxie felt relieved that Janine wasn't the salt to her wounds. "Actually, I'm glad I found you." Again Roxie is shocked that Janine is so up front. What's her game? "It's about Jaime." Roxie rolls her eyes. Again with Jaime. Why does everyone want to talk about her? It's like this whole company revolves around her or something. Everything interesting seems to pass right through her before continuing on. It's these thoughts that cause Roxie to sigh out annoyingly. Janine doesn't take notice of this. "I need you to try and convince her that her challenge to Drake shouldn't go through." "Well, I'm sorry, but I'm not talking to her any--" "You don't have to talk to someone to convince them. God, I thought you had some kind of mafia connection or something. You know, perform a little physical convincing?" "You mean kiss her?" "What? Damn you're an idiot. Think it through. Just remember that you need to stop it." "How come? If she gets her ass kicked it won't be my fault. And that'll convince her not to try it again." "No! Listen, if Jaime loses than all women lose in this company. Your little title, it'll go to the men. Then you won't have anything. It doesn't matter if they have the belt, just as long as the title remains ours." "Ours?" Roxie points in between herself and Janine. Now it's Janine who rolls her eyes and sighs out annoyingly. "It's a good thing you're pretty...pre--" Again Roxie interferes with a kiss. This time the partner doesn't stick around for a millisecond. Instead, Janine backs away shoving Roxie into the storage closet door. "The fucks your problem?" "You...you said I was pretty." "Yea, I was going to say you were pretty dumb. Now I'm just gonna say that you're a dumb fuck! Hey, good luck in your match this week." That little wish of luck, said with a fair amount of sarcasm, is followed by a storm away as Janine pushes her way through the small crowd of workers setting up some curtains to separate certain areas in the back. Roxie again stands there embarrassed covering her mouth less it inflict more damage. This time she goes for the hall exit as quick as she can. This time she bumps into another somewhat familiar figure. "Whoa...hey! Just the girl I was looking for!" Hey kids, its The Truth(...applause)He stands there with both hands on Roxie's arms steadying her. Roxie seems comforted, but only in the fact that he isn't female. "I heard you're working Vegas. Great place, huh?" Suddenly, the realization that she needs to get out of there overtakes her as she brushes past him and runs down the hall. The Truth remains behind and just watches her go. "Damn...almost had a new assistant." Roxie continues running through the hall until she's caught and spun around by yet another individual. "Hey. Just the girl I wanted to see." Again with these familiarities. This time it comes from Toby who looks toward Jorge and nods. "Roxie Galanoochie, this week you're stepping into the ring with...well, too many people to count--" "Twenty five." Words spoken from behind the camera, which take Toby's attention. "Wh-why? You don't speak English but when you do...you know what? Whatever, man. That's like twenty-five hit points next game. Anyway," Toby turns back to face Roxie ready to continue the interview, "What are your thoughts? I mean, Jaime has words for everyone so I--" "Again with Jaime? Why is everyone so into her? She's not that great! You want my thoughts on the match? It'll be tough and it'll be stupid. I didn't want that match. Win and go to the UK. I just got to Las Vegas! Besides, are there even any strip clubs down there? Or up there? Whatever. Listen, you've heard my thoughts, I'm just upset that in order to get to Jaime this week I have to go through twenty four other people." "Twenty three." Toby looks back at Jorge for a moment in disbelief. His moment of disbelief over, Toby turns back to face Roxie. "Alright, so you must be at least psyched that Jaime is defending women’s honour by challenging Drake for the belt." "What? She's not defending the honour. She's destroying it. I mean, she went and lost it and she can't get it back? That is so typical Jaime, huh?" Unfortunately, it seems that Toby doesn't share the same hatred for Jaime as Roxie does. "Well, for the most part ever since she lost it all she's been doing was talking about getting it back. Infact, I think she made the challenge what it is because she knew Drake couldn't say no." "Oh...well, if that's the case...then I'll have to reclaim the glory of the women’s division. No way am I just going to let her take the fall. It should involve all competing women in this company. Well, except that amazon-ish woman. And Rory. She doesn't seem to really care. Kennedy looks too big for the belt." "So then just you and Jaime then?" "Maybe...no, no. I teamed with her once, that's good enough for a career I'd say." "I wouldn't say that, you two looked pretty good as a team." "Yea, I don't think it'll be happening again. So, are we finished?" Toby nods a little but not in the agreeing sense. He just looks as though there's something else that needs to be said. "I, uh, hear you're giving free kisses out to interviewers." Roxie doesn't respond in the way Toby would've wanted. Instead, she leave just a little agitated about the fact that news of the double kiss has already spread to him mixed in well with the so many mentions of Jaime. But does Toby care about that? Of course not. He just cares about his one missed chance to kiss a lesbian stripper. Guess he'll have to talk with VDERFuRCLVR about something else tonight. |
