Roxie bundles warmly under her red winter coat. It's not really a womans coat or even a mens coat, one of those unisex coats made specifically for these winter months. This coat, which looks fairly new actually is. Just a few moments ago Roxie purchased the coat having never needed one before. Back in New York she was always driven everywhere. Her apartment to the club, club to the airport, airport back to the club and every other kind of equation focusing on those three spots. Sometimes a miscellaneous spot would pop up. Thinking about that causes Roxie to think about Vinnie rounding the corner of the intersection just ahead to drive her the rest of the way. Of course, that's probably never going to happen.

Roxie, with just her winter coat to defend herself against the somewhat cold winds, shoves both of her hands into her pockets and ducks her neck underneath the collar of the coat shivering. To everyone else this seems a little extreme, but as mentioned above Roxie is not used to weather period. The only kind of weather she's used to is the kind in the limo.

After much walking, Roxie's glazed eyes seem to glitter a little as she comes closer to her intended target of destination; the post office.

Tony had worked out a system where all letters and cards sent to her, that showed no sign of suspicion, would be sent to a post office in Vegas. Why not the club directly? Because to Tony that created a bright trail leading to Roxie's location viewable to even the Yakuza and Triads all the way to their home countries. Therefore he'd send them to a hideout address he had set up for a few of the boys which required the usage of a post office. The only problem that showed itself was that Roxie had to pass by three post offices just to get there. And if the next few months are like today, then Roxie'll need to add yet another mail filter.

Ah yes, the mail filter system. Being a blond dancer with average sized assets and a knack for appealing to the crowds sexual desire (on stage) Roxie has received various fan mail. Letters from poor hopefuls with marriage proposals, personal schedules, etc. As soon as Roxie left Tony's Club, even more letters started to poor in. Some of them filled with sad stories about how much they missed her, some of which have touched her heart, while others were mere threats of what would happen if she didn't come back. Roxie had hoped that the sentimental letters would over carry the threats but that wasn't the case. The sentimental cards soon became threats in themselves. This was all something that Roxie couldn't deal with so she asked that no fan mail reach her. Luckily for Tony, he at least had a reason for not dealing with them; Alfredo. Every customer was afraid of the guy so no one would approach Tony about Roxie. So all Roxie could do now, all she wanted to do, was hope that nothing too severe would happen. That maybe they would find a new girl to drool over. Saying that seemed weird to her as it was like admitting it. Roxie had no problem with that.

She's a stripper, not some goddess to be idolized. Unlike some of the girls who had full on egos. Some of them would receive a letter and think that they have that guy wrapped around their finger. Sometimes they did and they bled him dry, while others would pursue and find out it was a mistake. That they were just looking for a hot girl to show around to their friends. Roxie was lucky, she never once went out with a guy because they gave her a letter. She did however go out with the three girls who gave her letters. One of which turned out not to be gay and was just merely sending the letter as a means of praising her for her dancing skills. But of the three, it was actually that one that ended up calling her back. Apparently her relations with the guys was laughable if that so she figured a change of pace might be nice. That woman was Vicky, and for a brief instant while holding onto the door, Roxie seemed sad.

Suddenly a new chill crept across her face as a wind came blowing from her left causing her to re enter reality. Roxie pulls open the door and shivers a little while entering the warm location that is the post office. Roxie takes a moment to look around the area wondering where she needs to go. Roxie notices one box across from her; 4977. The one to its right was 4978. Roxie, having to look for 1208 figures she's a long way off from where she needs to be.

Roxie walks to the left watching each number as she went. There was a small corridor filled with small metal doors so the number jumped instantly from 4900 to 2800. It was a big jump in number and for some reason Roxie felt something she couldn't quite explain.

After a while of walking, Roxie finally comes to her box. She pulls out the key from her pocket and seems thankful that it isn't all too cold.

Roxie shoots the key forward but soon finds that it's in contest with another key for the same door. Roxie looks to her left and finds a somewhat familiar face standing there looking somewhat unamused.

"You!"

Roxie steps back pointing toward her supposed body guard who just looks back at her not really moving. To her, it seems that Roger is looking at her as if to say "Yea? So what?" As though he hasn't been absent since the plane landed for her the first time she arrived in Vegas.

"Where were you? You ditched me in the airport!"

Roger swings the key back into his palm and pockets it before turning to fully come face to face with Roxie.

"The Greatness was busy."

"Busy doing what? Roger, you make me sick. You were supposed to be guarding me these last few weeks. If Tony had advised I don't call him for security reasons, I would've requested someone else."

Ah yes, another form of security Tony had set up. Apparently all ties between Roxie and New York had to be severed. Unless it was an absolute emergency, Roxie wasn't to come into contact with anyone in New York. Of course having never had a body guard, Roxie never truly realized the severity of needing one. Especially in her case.

"And now you're here stealing my mail?"

"That's not what The Greatness was doing. He received a call from Tony to pick it up, you stupid little dyke."

"That's another thing! Stop talking in third person! It's really annoying and quite sad when you think about it."

Apparently, having been called a dyke for years by her brother has made her somewhat immune to its harsh nature. Especially since she didn't hate men. So hearing it from Roger would prove to have no effect.

"The Greatness talks like this because The Greatness--"

"Shut up! I'm checking my mail and then I'm gone. Whether you come too or not is up to you."

Roger was in the midst of saying something, but Roxie wasn't willing to hear it. As a matter of fact, she seemed really focused on her plans. Get the mail then leave. As simple as that.

Roxie twists the key then opens the door to reveal a single envelope. After pocketing the key, Roxie pulls out the envelope and begins looking it over. A hand written address and return address. The sender being...
"Jaime Lee?"

Rogers eyebrows seem to raise at the sight of Roxie nearly over heating in her coat.

"She really burns my butter!"

"Um, isn't it--"

Roxie turns and stamps her foot down hard while screaming out. "It's a figure of speech!"

If his career has taught him anything, it's to not question a woman in the state that Roxie is in now.

Roxie rips open the envelope and pulls out a card. A holiday card. Jaime's holiday card. Roxie opens it up and suddenly tears it apart. After ripping it into little pieces, Roxie shoves them into the nearest trash can.

"That little...EARGH! Thinks she can just send me a blank card. Can't even take the time to write a message!"

"The Greatness doesn't think she meant to."

"What?"

Somewhat calming down, Roxie turns her head toward Roger who looks toward the envelope, still in Roxie's hand.

"Well, The Greatness believes it was an insult to send you a blank card. Kind of like saying that she has a holiday card out and that there are so many she can send a blank one just to piss you off. Kind of ingenious if you think about it."

Roxie doesn't seem to enthused about that as she folds both her arms over her chest causing a bit of a ruffling sound in her coat while she does that. "Well if she thinks that just because she has a holiday card out she's better than me she's got another thing coming."

Roxie begins to ponder a way to get even with her. She doesn't even realize the envelope still in her hand until her fingers slide across it. Looking down, she seem to be in brighter spirits as an idea comes across her head.

"Oh yea, that's nice. Give me your phone." Roxie throws her hand out toward Roger who seems a little hesitant at first but finally pulls it out handing it over to her. Roxie quickly flips it open and punches in a few numbers. Placing a hand over her other ear, Roxie turns away from Roger and now begins to look at nothing. "Hello? Merchandising, please." Roxie waits for a moment darting her eyes across a bulletin board placed up in front of her not really looking at anything. Just when she hears a clicking sound, her spirits seem to bounce right up. "Hello, I'd like to send two holiday cards to this address." Roxie removes her hand from the side of her head with the envelope and begins reading the return address. "Yes, to Jaime Lee. ... Oh! So you can just give them to her then? ... Well that'd be great. ... Oh, um, two Roxie cards. ... Uh-huh. ... No, no message. ... No, just a little running gag we have. ... Yea. Okay. ... Great, thanks. ... Bye."

Roxie closes the phone and hands it back to Roger with a nice smile on her face. A smile of refreshment as she looks toward Roger.

"What?"

"She's going to get two blank cards. So I'll be telling her off twice. Hee hee hee."

Roxie evil little laugh is cut off though by Roger who looks down at his phone for a moment. "You understands what that means right?" Roxie looks toward Roger again shaking her head slightly. Roger looks away from his phone back toward Roxie. "She's getting twice as many holiday cards as you."
