[We open up inside a bathhouse in Nagoya. In the foreground is a large spa, a steaming hot body of water in a circular pool. On either side of the pool are “Fierce” Felix Arroyo and Steve “The Emo Kid” Patterson. It would be pointless to describe what they’re wearing since they’re not wearing anything – well, nothing visible. All we see are their heads and their chests and the rest is underwater. On either side of Steve are demure, attractive Japanese women in their early twenties, cuddled up beside him. For all their affection, he seems largely uninterested, sporting his usual solemn, mournful expression. Felix is very pleased, however, to be flanked by two slender Japanese twinks and has his arms tightly pulled around them. Steve: Where the hell is our interviewer? I told you we should have used Noon again… Felix: Oh, you just like him because you can beat the hell out of him. Look, here she comes now! [Hardcore Sex watches with us as FIW interviewer Rebecca Hunter walks into frame, wearing a simple white bath robe and holding a cordless microphone. She walks up the small stairs leading into the poor and disrobes, revealing her flawless curvy body, her “naughty bits” barely covered by a two-piece pink bikini. With one foot and then the other, she slowly descends into the spa, sitting between Steve and Felix and their local friends.] Rebecca: How are we, gentlemen? Steve: You’re almost in your thirties. Soon you’ll get wrinkles, your boobs will sag and you’ll regret not doing a pictorial for Playboy when you had the chance. Rebecca: As charming as ever, Mr. Patterson. Felix? Felix: Better than Steve’s lady-friends, Rebecca! Your D cups are making them go from yellow to green with envy! Rebecca: I see you have some friends of your own, Felix. Felix: Yes! Masahiro and Keiji! Not a single strand of body hair on them! I love Japan! Steve: Do you know why they’re called “twinks”, Rebecca? Rebecca: Would you care to enlighten us, Steve? Steve: They’re named after Twinkies, those bastions of junk food that are sweet to the taste and possessing zero nutritional value. Felix: And soon to be filled with white stuff… Steve: Ugh. It’s really a derogatory term, implying shallowness and a lack of intellect. Not unlike someone we know. Rebecca: If looks could kill, Steve, I’m sure I’d be six feet under by now. Steve: I actually wasn’t referring to you, Rebecca, but you’re close enough. I was talking about Roxie Galanoochie, one half of our opponents on Friday. Rebecca: You certainly seem to have a low opinion of her. Steve: Can you blame me? I look down on any woman who uses her looks to degrade herself. And the fact that Roxie is a lipstick lesbian is just another reason to look down on her. She can’t wrestle worth a damn so she uses the obsession with girl-on-girl action to create a fanbase. If she didn’t have her Mafia friends behind her, I’m sure she would be laughed right out of FIW. And now that she has joined the Zaibatsu, she probably thinks she’s making movies. To be in the company of Daisuke Tanaka might be a flattering thing, but all she needs to do is look over at her fellow Zaibatsu members and see she’s nothing special. Rebecca: You mean Mr. Blond and Shaun Wilson? Steve: A flunkie and an egotistical punk who thinks he’s some kind of human highlight reel. They’re being used by Daisuke to create his own little stable of wrestlers, but he’s chosen the least intimidating individuals he could find in the FIW talent pool. Do you know the term “cannon fodder”, Rebecca? Rebecca: Now that term I am familiar with. Steve: If I had a cookie I’d give it to you. But that’s exactly what Blondie, Shaun and Roxie are. They’re nobodies Daisuke have surrounded himself with to prevent people from targeting him on his lonesome. I wouldn’t call the Zaibatsu so much a “team” as what it’s namesake implies – a “business” with a boss and expendable soldiers. This is where Miss Galanoochie’s familiarity with organized crime should come in handy for her. She should realize she’s just an “associate,” a “button” that Daisuke can press on others. Well, the only problem is that we’re not a “business.” We’re a team. Felix: Not just a team, but the best team in FIW, as our tag team championship can attest to! We scratched and clawed our way to the top and we did it by working together with mutual respect and a hell of a lot of experience. And experience is not something the Zaibatsu has outside of Daisuke and Blondie. And that’s a point we’re going to drive home on Friday. Rebecca: You’re also going to be in good company, since you’ve thrown yourselves in with Onikage and his Rejects. Perhaps it could be said you’re “cannon fodder” for him? Steve: Preposterous. Onikage ended his wrestling career and with good reason. He has nothing left to prove. He’s passing the torch to a new generation of wrestlers, which is why he’s anointed Crackerjack and Kiyoshi as the flagship personalities of the Rejects. And right behind them are Felix and I, the tag team champs who are destined for future greatness. Rebecca: You’re not content with the tag team titles? Felix: Of course we’re happy to be the champs, but we’re also talented competitors in our own right. We’ve shown how well we can wrestle as a team but let’s be honest – there wasn’t a whole lot in the way of obstacles to the titles! The tag team division is weak! The singles scene is where it’s at! Naturally it’s what we should focus on next. We won’t be content until we’re at main event status, recognized as the penultimate tag team in FIW and as strong singles wrestlers as well! Rebecca: Strong words, guys. But do you have what it takes? Felix: It isn’t even in a question, baby! [And we fade to black…] |
