Heal me. I'm heart sick. Almost in a follow-on from earlier today, the scene opens inside of the main office at The Hexagon in Reading. Still sat behind his desk is Ash Koopa, wearing the same black short-sleeved shirt and yellow tie as before. The difference this time is that the desk is clear of paper work and, staring across at him from the faux wood workstation, are three fairly familiar faces from the Full Intensity Broadcast team. On the left, Toby Bostock. In the middle, Janine Morrigan. And on the right, Rebecca Hunter. With a smug grin on his face, Ash eyes up the three individuals in front of him, paying particular attention to the girls. Ash: "Thank you for staying so late into the evening." Getting to his feet, Ash quickly makes his way around to the other side of the desk, prompting both Janine and Rebecca to take an awkward step back. Ash carefully eyes the two girls and nods to himself, remembering his so-called reputation, then sits down on the desk of the desk. Ash: "I've reviewed the tapes all three of you submitted and I'm grateful for your efforts. I'd like to say it was a difficult choice and that you three excelled at everything, but alas, you were the only people available to do the show and I wasn't allowed to out-source the roles. Therefore, I'd like to congratulate the three of you on your temporary promotions within the company." Toby: "Yay for us!" Silence fills the room as all eyes turn to Toby. Feeling extremely embarrassed, Toby looks around awkwardly, then crosses his arms in front of his chest and turns his attention to the floor. Toby looks up briefly to find Ash staring at him and quickly lowers his gaze, much to Ash's delight. After a few more seconds of staring, Ash relinquishes his gaze and smirks at the girls. Ash: "Now, I've picked the roles that I think you would each be best suited to. Janine, despite repeatedly insulting the film crew and non-stop chain smoking, you're going to be the colour commentator for the pre-show. I think your wrestling knowledge is at a decent level and I'm sure you'll play off your partner well." Janine: "Whatever you say, guy." Slightly surprised by the lack of enthusiasm, Ash cocks his head to the left and goes to respond, but quickly changes his mind. He glares into the distance in confusion, then shrugs and looks to Toby. Ash: "You, Toby, are going to be play-by-play. Mainly because I think Janine will chew you up and I know I'll enjoy listening to that on the replay. But, you also demonstrated a keen knowledge of wrestling styles - not just American, but puro and Lucha. And, even though, you a couple of Dungeons and Dragons references, I think that you're the right person for the job. You've got the skills; you just lack the balls to do it properly." Unsure how to respond, Toby simply nods to Ash and braves a smile. Enjoying the moment, Ash smirks and nods his head in response, then moves his attention on to Rebecca. Ash: "Now, Rebecca, I had a bit of a decision to make with you. Either I could make you the ring announcer, or I could you the referee. And, whilst you're easy on the eyes, I don't think the boys would take you very seriously in the ring. Therefore, I'm making you the ring announcer and host for the show. That means you'll be in the ring, introducing the matches as well as introducing the show to the people. Yours will be the first voice they hear on the broadcast, and I think that's a very important job. How does that sound?" Before answering, Rebecca tosses her hair back over her shoulders and clears her throat. Rebecca: "This is Rebecca Hunter welcoming you to the Anarchy in the UK pre-show. Let's get ready to rumble!" Ash: "Fantastic." A smile breaks on Rebecca's face and she nods to Ash as Toby begins applauding the efforts, drawing another round of silence from the other three. Embarrassed by his own actions, Toby lowers his head and retreats into his shell for the second time in five minutes. Ash shakes his head in disappointment and lifts himself from the edge of the desk, then makes his way toward the door of the office. Ash: "Again, thank you for staying so late tonight. Go home and get a good night's sleep. We'll be back in tomorrow at noon for a couple of practice runs, just to get you all settled into your positions. They may just be temporary, but they're still important on Sunday night." Janine: "Ash.." Ash: "Yeah?" Moving toward Ash, Janine cocks her head slightly and smiles. Standing no more than a foot away, Janine lifts her right hand and gently strokes Ash's face, drawing a smile from Ash. Janine: "Smells." She begins laughing to herself and walks out of the office as Ash tries to control his contempt for the comment. Rebecca quickly follows Janine out, refusing to look Ash in the eyes, then lets out a slight giggle as she steps through the doorway. Ash glares at Toby, who lowers his head once again and quickly shuffles out of the room into the corridor. Quietly mumbling to himself, Ash goes to close the door, only for Maxx Anderson to burst into the office wearing the same attire as earlier. Ash: "Oh God, what do you want now, Maxx? I was about to head home.." Maxx: "I was listening outside and I heard that you hadn't recruited a referee yet. Well, I'm the guy for it. I can do it all, Ash. I can signal for the bell.." With an exaggerated hand gesture, Maxx flicks his right wrist twist, similar to how most referees call for the bell. A big grin breaks on Maxx's face as he stares expectantly at Ash. Ash: "Maxx, in all.." Maxx: "What, do I need to count to three as well? I can do that." Before Maxx has a chance to show his counting ability, Ash holds up both hands and motions for him to stop. The grin on Maxx's face slowly begins to fade as he begins to read Ash's response from his face alone. However, the clues quickly disappear as Ash begins sniffing at the air around him and looking at Maxx in confusion. Ash: "Have you been drinking?" Maxx: "A little, yes." Ash: "Good. For a second, I thought you were sober. Now, listen Maxx. It's not that I don't want you as a referee, but the office would frown on it because of our relationship. I already mentioned to them that I wanted Lord General Mortimer Igneous as a referee, because I felt that his experience as a butt pirate would automatically give him respect in the ring and that everyone would listen to him. They didn't like the idea and insisted that I don't refer to him as a butt pirate ever." Both men struggle to keep straight faces, though Maxx's quickly turns to one of disappointment. Maxx: "So, you were going to hire him before me?" Ash: "Only because if I won, it would've been with the help of somebody else's manager. If you were to help me, people would just criticise the way I arranged things. But if the Lord General does it for me, then it's as if he betrayed his own man." Maxx: "And why would he betray Colbert?" Ash: "I don't know, do I? And besides, it doesn't matter. What matters really is that he isn't the referee. As it stands right now, I don't have a referee for the show. All of the refs are assigned matches on the pay-per-view and have committed to working in Manchester on Sunday, leaving me with no-one apart from those three who just left." Turning away from Maxx, Ash heads over to the desk and pulls open the top drawer. He begins to rummage through the contents, producing a mobile phone and a small address book. Admiring the book in his hands, Maxx heads toward Ash with an inquisitive look on his face. Maxx: "What's that?" Ash: "A book of contacts for everyone who has ever worked for me. Names, phone numbers and addresses. I know there is someone out there, Maxx, desperate enough to work a small show in Reading as a referee to kick-start their career. And I'll find them before Sunday, I promise you." Maxx: "Or you could just get me to do it." Clearly unimpressed, Ash glares at Maxx as he places the address book in his trouser pocket. With a smirk on his face, Ash saunters past Maxx and heads for the door, then turns to look at his mentor. Ash: "Come on, you. Let's go get you a beer." On that note, Ash winks at Maxx, then hits the light switch, cutting the power off. Ash quickly moves out of the doorway; his shadow disappearing into the corridor. After a brief second, Maxx's bulky shadow steps into the doorway and out to the corridor, then reaches back into the room and closes the door behind it. The camera stares through the darkness at a small line of light on the floor, barely escaping from under the door, then cuts to static and brings everything to an end.
