The new Hellcat Champion is Lara Toni and perhaps with an element of ego but mostly pride she steps out of a long white limousine with the Hellcat belt draped over her shoulder. She looks up and we join her gaze to see that she has arrived at a rather expensive hotel in New York City. Lara walks past a security guard into the building and heads for reception.

Lara: Hello, could you tell me where room…

She pulls out her cell phone, flips it open and clicks away. After a few seconds she looks back up.

Lara: Where room 316 is?

Receptionist: Take the elevator over there Madam, it’s up to the third floor and left out of the elevator.

Lara: Thank you.

Receptionist: A pleasure.

Leaving the foyer and the rather cheery receptionist behind, Lara hops into a waiting elevator. She presses the button for the third floor and the door closes, blocking us out of her journey…

We pick Lara back up now on the third floor and the premier Hellcat is looking at the numbers on doors. She reaches her destination, the elusive room 316 and finds that the door is slightly ajar. Cautiously Lara pushes it open and she enters.

Lara: Hello? Hello?

Lara finds only a guy dressed in white t-shirt and white trousers in the room. He is leant over the table cleaning it with a cloth.

Janitor: Can I be of any help you?

Lara is somewhat taken aback by not only his presence but also his strong southern American accent.

Lara: I’m sorry, I was told to come here to this room for a meeting with my new manager.

Janitor: The room is not ready I am afraid.

Lara: That’s no problem! I’ll wait outside until it’s ready, he must not be here yet.

Janitor: If you don’t mind me saying Ma’am, that Championship belt on your shoulder is mighty shiny and impressive. I do follow the ol’ FIW myself and I was personally delighted to learn of your victory this past Sunday.

The Hellcat Sensation is somewhat embarrassed by such praise from a humble janitor.

Janitor: Could I trouble you for an autograph?

Lara: Wow, sure.

The hotel worker provides Lara with a piece of folded paper to sign and hands her a cheap biro pen.

Lara: I have a pen here…

Her handbag opens and moments later after searching around for it, she produces a Parker fountain pen which was probably a gift to her from Orion Oldriod.

Lara: Would you mind if I signed it for you in this? It is my favourite pen.

Janitor: I would be most proud, my dear.

She signs the paper and then holds out her pen to the janitor. He is shocked by such a kind and generous gesture by a big wrestling star.

Janitor: I could not…

Lara: I insist.

She presses the fountain pen into his reluctant hand and smiles warmly, the janitor can hardly look at Toni and is obviously emotionally touched by her generosity.

Janitor: It is such a beautiful and magnificent item.

He weighs it in his hand and is a little confused.

Lara: It’s made out of gold around the trim. Look, I’ll get out of your hair now. I’ve heard that my new manager is something of a tyrant with a fierce temper so you should finish up in here.

Janitor: Of course, I would not like to disappoint your master.

He resumes polishing the table as Lara exits. She closes the door behind her and stands out in the hallway. She takes the Hellcat title belt off her shoulder and admires it, running her fingers over the face of it and enjoying the moment. She looks to the floor beyond her belt to see a piece of hotel telephone pad-paper slide out from underneath the door. Lara picks it up and reads the words “Come In”. Lara’s face drops as she realises that her new manager must have been inside the room somewhere and heard exactly what she said about him to the janitor. Slowly she twists the door handle and returns to the scene of her crime.

Lara: What the…?

Sat on the leather couch provided in such a premier suite is the guy she just talked to as the Janitor! He has changed his t-shirt for a loose fitting white formal shirt that remains unbuttoned. We get a better look at his features now. The balcony door is now open and his jet black hair waves in the breeze. He slowly stands to confront the young female.

Janitor: They call you the Hellcat Champion. I am ‘Jericho’.

Lara: You could have said.

Jericho: That’s right, I could have and for that I am sorry.

Jericho is busy admiring the Hellcat Championship resting on the shoulder of Lara Toni. He extends his hand to touch it but then sharply retracts it.

Jericho: First impressions are everything, my dear. Your first impression of a man so brilliant as myself was that I was a lowly janitor. My first impression of you is that you are both naïve and gullible. Let’s see now if we can’t change that.

Lara: Let’s talk about Orion Oldriod, he was my manager and I liked him! I was comfortable with his management of me!

Jericho: And therein lies the problem. Your manager should not be a friend, he should not be a confidant and he should not be easy on you. A manager should push his or her client to the very brink of their ability and make them believe that even their best efforts are not satisfactory.

Lara: You have a very twisted view of things.

Jericho: Perhaps I do, perhaps ol’ Jericho he is out of touch with the modern youth culture of today…but maybe I am not. My view is a respected and a successful view, you will learn respect my wishes.

Jericho reaches behind him to the top of his trousers and pulls out the piece of folded paper that Lara signed moments ago. She looks nervous.

Lara: What did I sign? What did you make me sign?

Jericho: Your second mistake of this short encounter was to sign a document without a hesitation and without proper consideration. You will learn and you will learn from the best.

He hands her the papers and she unfolds it. Lara skims over the contents and exclaims. Jericho snatches it back from her hands before she has chance to review it for a second time.

Jericho: That’s right, my dear. You have signed over any extra money that you would receive as a Champion in Full Intensity Rasslin’. So now you have no motivation to be the Hellcat Champion, don’t you think?

Lara: It was never about money, it was always about competition and proving myself worthy.

Jericho: A good answer albeit through gritted teeth, you are one step closer to redeeming yourself. The competition should be about personal challenges, never about lining your pockets with dollars because your management will do just that fine enough for you.

Jericho puts his arm around Lara, she half-heartedly tries to shake him off but Jericho is a man not to be denied. There’s nothing sexual in his elaborate theatrics but certainly he attempts to dominate by putting himself physically above Lara.

Jericho: I will erase both of our first impressions of each other but to do that you must make a small sacrifice for Jericho. This is for you.

Jericho produces a second folded piece of paper and Lara eagerly opens it, she seems a little embarrassed by thinking that her new manager was a janitor. She moves a small picture paper-clipped to the top and reads quickly.

Jericho: I require your good self to deliver a small personal message for me to the man detailed in this report. He is known to you and that is his current residing address. I need you to go find him and give him this message; “Your services are no longer required.” Do you understand, my dear?

Lara: Yes I do. I can do this.

Jericho: Of course after this deed is done we shall concentrate our efforts on Shaun Wilson and Blake Orange.

Lara nods her head and then notices a half-eaten hamburger in the bin. She looks down and then at Jericho, he looks like a diner of the finest foods, hardly a burger man. An expression of remembrance hits Lara.

Lara: Is that burger for the big guy?

Jericho: I do not follow.

Lara: My match, you stood on the stage but I couldn’t quite make you out. You had a really big guy stood next to you. Did he eat that burger?

Jericho: You may speak the truth but that does not concern you at this juncture.
