The camera opens up on a locker room door. This particular door belongs to a very privileged individual as they are a champion. Therefore, with their championship comes the perk of a private locker room with their name displayed for all to see. Lara Toni. That is who this particular locker room door belongs to. But we aren’t venturing inside. Instead, it’s the outside that we’re focused on, where Jaime Lee happens to be pacing back and forth in front of the door. Occasionally, her eyes cast up towards the door and then back down to the floor as she continues to pace.

???: Did you train that door to do something?

Startled by the prying eyes, Jaime jolts upright and glances over her shoulder to lay eyes on FIW’s favorite (well, at least hers) referee J.J. His eyes shift from the door to Jaime to the door to Jaime… well, you get the point.

Jaime: Oh, um… no. I was just… I don’t know what I’m doing.

J.J. makes his way over to Jaime, who decides maybe she shouldn’t be lingering outside the champions door. That might give the wrong impression from a former champion that might want that very title back in her possession. Luckily, J.J. doesn’t take that as a hint that she’s trying to get away from him, because he continues to walk with her.

J.J.: You were just doing something. And it looks like maybe you need to talk about it?

Now a safe distance from the locker room, Jaime has no problem using this particular portion of the corridor as their meeting room.

Jaime: I’ve just been… Oh My God! J.J., what happened?!

Jaime’s hands go to J.J.’s face, moving his chin to the side as she inspects the remainder of a cut that happened nearly a week ago. Judging by the faintness of it, it wasn’t too deep but deep enough to still be noticeable nearly a week later.

J.J.: Oh, heh. I… fell.

J.J. takes Jaime’s hands from his face, doing his best to avoid the conversation pertaining to his cut altogether. After all, there’s enough going on between Jaime and Ninja, this probably isn’t the best way to jump right back into that situation, is it?

J.J.: Listen, I just thought maybe you and I should talk. You know, about that topic I usually don’t want to talk about.

Jaime stares up at J.J. with a lost expression on her face, shaking her head as if to tell him that she has no idea what he’s talking about.

J.J.: You know, Adam…

The sheer detest he holds for the man is more than evident in his tone as he speaks his name. It would appear that’s not lost on Jaime, as it seems to bring her mood down even more.

Jaime: It’s okay, J.J. We don’t have to talk about it.

J.J.: No, Jaime. I think we need to.

Jaime pulls her hands free from J.J.’s grasp, taking a couple steps away from him. She stares down at the floor for a moment, finally raising her head as she mentality prepares herself to have this discussion with J.J.

Jaime: Well… there’s not really much to talk about. I mean, the doctor’s aren’t even sure how long he’ll be out.

J.J.: Hopefully a long time.

Well, we all know what J.J. wishes upon a star for. The words only get a him a sharp look from Jaime. How could someone be so heartless, she might be thinking. But then, think about the man J.J. is saying this about.

Jaime: What’s that supposed to mean?

J.J.: Jaime, I don’t know what kind of head game he’s been playing on you, but the longer he’s away, the better off everyone will be.

Jaime: He’s not playing any head game with me. God, you’re starting to sound like Ninja.

And with that, Jaime takes her leave from this conversation. Or at least that was her plan. But with a hop and a skip, J.J. is able to cut Jaime off.

J.J.: Maybe because he’s right. I can’t believe you even trust Adam Wilson after everything he’s done. Have you seen the state Ninja is in? All because of you, Jaime. Because he tried to protect you from Adam but you wouldn’t let him.

Jaime: I never asked to be protected from Adam. Did Ninja even think about that?

J.J.: Maybe if you would've talked to him--

Jaime: That’s the problem, J.J. You can’t talk to Ninja.

Jaime’s snapping interruption stuns J.J. into a momentary silence.

J.J.: Well, no. Not now, but…

Jaime: No, not ever. Do you think Ninja ever let me in? All those times that he was a shoulder for me to lean on. All those times that he had my back without me so much as having to ask for it.

Jaime takes a deep breath, fighting back all those emotions boiling to the surface. The question is, are these emotions filled with past sadness or present anger?

Jaime: All those times I tried to be there for him… I don’t know who Extreme Ninja #2 is, J.J.

The wrestler turned referee stands completely speechless before Jaime. What can he really add to this? Does he know who Extreme Ninja #2 is? And we’re not talking his secret identity either. There is one particular thing J.J. might be able to shed light on, but that’s not really his place, is it?

Jaime: Look, I appreciate your concern, J.J. And I appreciate every single thing that Ninja has done for me along the way. I never asked him to be there for me, he did it because he was a good friend. And I’m thankful for those times. But I never asked or wanted to be protected. Not from Adam, not from Xtreme Kitten, and not from these Gatitos. I don’t need anyone that I can’t trust.

And now Jaime makes her getaway. Nope. Once again J.J. stops her. This time it’s by simply spinning around to call after her.

J.J.: Does that include Lara?

Jaime freezes in her exit, glancing back over her shoulder at J.J. She doesn’t have a lot to say on that topic, it seems. All the communication is in her eyes, filled with doubt.

J.J.: That is why you were standing outside her door, right?

Jaime: I… was just…

J.J.: Jaime, the stuff Rebecca said. You should know that it was twisted around to get you fired up. It’s what she does.

Jaime: I know that.

Hm, she does? Then what’s the problem. Jaime takes a deep breath.

Jaime: I’m not mad about what Lara said about me, J.J. It just bothers me that she was right about everything.

And NOW she finally makes her getaway. This time J.J. doesn’t bother to stop her. He simply watches as she flees from the scene, sighing his own disappointment over the situation. But which one? Jaime and Lara? Jaime and Ninja? Jaime and Adam? Or all of the above?
