The soothing but ominous sounds of “The Blood of Cuchlainn” now flow over the speakers as the crowd rises to their feet, cheering wildly for who’s about to come through the curtain. Strobing green lights settle on the stage as now Owen McConnaigh, hooded, comes through the curtain, shaking his wrists out and generally warming up as Big Finn McConnaigh comes lumbering out behind him. Both men are in their ring gear and look quite upset as they head to the ring, tagging the fans' hands before entering the ring, Owen sliding underneath the ropes as Finn hauls himself up, steps over the ropes into the ring and calls for a microphone, standing in the middle of the ring with a scowl on his face as "The Blood of Cuchulainn" fades slowly away. Finn: "Now I want you all to listen up, because a certain someone has made these two Irishmen you see before you.... very, VERY angry. A certain someone by the name of Jericho. You see, friends, this....rrrgh, I can't even CALL Jericho a man....he came on camera and he said some things. Some things to try to get into my brother Owen's head, and that I came to expect. But what he called me, what he called my brother is the worst insult you can ever call a McConnaigh. He called us cowards, fans. COWARDS." Loud boos erupt as Finn lowers the mic, that look of cold anger still on his face as Owen walks towards the ropes, a microphone in his own hand as the still-hooded Irish Wolfhound raises the mic, placing his boot on the bottom turnbuckle. Owen: "You may call us many things, Jericho. You may call us losers, you may call us idiots, you may call us micks, you can call us potato-eating, beer-drinking car-bombing Irish bastards, and the least you may get is an annoyed look or two when we pass ye' in the hallways. But the McConnaighs are NOT cowards. We will NEVER be cowards. And the idea that you'd try to refer to US as cowards....you might as well have opened yer' own grave, Jericho." Yikes. Somebody's mad. In fact, we have never seen the Saints this furious before. Obviously the absence of their brother, the voice of reason, Priest, has prevented them from checking their temper for the time being. Finn: "In fact, fans, was it not Pac-Bull that backed down from me and my brothers when he couldn't pursue and destroy little Lara Toni? I believe it was, and therefore I believe Pac-Bull is da' bloody coward here. Pac-Bull is the one who can't hunker down for a fight when it's an even match. I saw da' fear in his eyes, I saw da' fear in Jericho's eyes as he attempted to lead Pac-Bull away from 'is certain oblivion. I haven't even laid a hand on Pac-Bull yet...and already, da' fear of Big Finn McConnaigh grips ol' Jericho. Da' fear of da' Saints of South Ireland grips him like da' hand of God Himself, because he fears what these plucky Irishmen could do to 'is meal ticket. He fears not only what I could do when I finally get ahold of him, but also...he fears what my brother, The Irish Wolfhound will do to him on the main-event of FIW World Wide. And I'll stand aside and let my brother tell him." Owen now is at the forefront of this little speech by the Irish wrestling stars, and his ice-blue eyes glitter with a quiet fury as he addresses his monstrous opponent. Owen: "Pac-Bull, Jericho...Come FIW Worldwide, you two have met your match! You may be in an alliance with our ally and our friend Lara Toni, but your actions, your rage against defenseless opponents, your attacks against your supposed 'partner' when her back's turned and the fight's unfair, it ALL makes you two boys a target in my eyes. Jericho, I want you to watch this match closely from ringside, whether you decide to stick your slimy little paws in my match or not. I want you to WATCH when I have your Pac-Bull snared in the Fields of Athenry, and I squeeze EVERY LAST BREATH from that monster's lungs. I want you to see the pain and the fear that I will put in his eyes and in his heart with every move, with every hold, until he has no other choice than to surrender under my onslaught. We'll be prayin' for you two before I come for Pac-Bull on Worldwide, trust me of that. For even wicked individuals such as you, Jericho, and such as you, Pac-Bull, will need to seek solace and answers in da' Lord when I'm through with you. Faugh an Beallach!" As the crowd resoundingly shouts back the Saints' catchphrase, Owen places his microphone on the mat right next to Finn's, as he nods approvingly of the loud reaction he and Finn are getting. It's obvious the McConnaigh boys have created quite a following for themselves in their first weeks here, and as they exit the ring to head to the back, we are only left to wonder what else the Saints of South Ireland could do with their time here.
