We fade in and find Grant Rice before the lens of a camera. He stands there facing said lens, and thus us, championship over his shoulder. Not much to note about the surroundings, looks to be one of the many hallways in the arena with the usual equipment scattered along each side. Grant Rice: “Vinj actually does scare me a little.” Grant obviously quoting himself here, you can here it in his voice. Grant Rice: Those words did indeed come from my mouth. Though, I did not say this just to say it, no. There is some truth in that statement. It's hard to look past what you have done and threatened to do since your return to FIW. Look what you did to Adam Wilson. Grant pauses, the thoughts of the attack on Wilson running through his head perhaps. Grant Rice: I've got a question for you Vinj. How many threats to stab someone have you thrown around since your return? That looked to be an eye roll from the subject of this segment. Grant Rice: Truth be told though, your threats of stabbing are only a tiny portion of my fear of you. You see, it's actually the fact that I don't know if I'm stepping into the ring with Eugene Dinsmore or New Jack that has me concerned most. It seems one moment you can be pushing away on the buttons of a hand held gaming system as you play what's certain to be the latest chapter in the Pokemon game series, then the next moment you're throwing around your threats involving a knife and penetration. Most surprising though, you can actually show signs of intelligent thought. Your words spoken after your sandwich were actually something to see. If only you were able to get some help and become less 'un-stable,' that side of you could go on to have a great career as an author. “When I became the leaf in the wind – scattered across the footpath, hoisted by the currents of the season. ” Bravo, that's some beautiful stuff. Grant actually gives applause here, though it's easy to tell it's forced. Grant Rice: Unlucky for you, beautiful quotes won't pin me to the mat for the three count. You know, now that I think about it, it's a little hard to feel fear when you're walking around with C-4 at your disposal. Grant Rice: ... or would it be “Vee-4?” Grant smiles, perhaps he thought that was funny for some reason. That, or maybe he's replaying Jaime Lee at his hotel room door, that might make a man smile, don't you think? Grant Rice: See you Sunday. Just wouldn't be a Grant promo without a confident grin, so why not end with that? Okay... fade. |
