It's the early morning; the dew still sits on the grass, it's light enough so that any street lamps still on are unnecessary, but no ray of sunshine makes it through. This could possibly be due to the cloud cover, it could possibly because of the trees. Yes, there are trees, after all, this is a park, wide open spaces, and paths and so forth. If one was so inclined, there's even an area to go play on the swings, but our subject today is not. He's quite content being the only person up that this frankly ungodly hour, and he's quite content at this moment to sit on the grass and steam. This may sound a little odd, but there is a perfectly reasonable explanation: Kiyoshi Nakahata likes his dawn run, which also explains the vest and shorts, and from the heavy breathing [which mists in front of him,] it's a fair guess that he's already finished, or at the very least, halfway through, and having a momentary break, with a little black book, and a pen.

Kiyoshi:* I still cannot shake this feeling of disappointment, somehow, after last week, as if more was somehow expected of me. This is is somewhat disquieting, especially after finding out our next opponents. I really ought not to be complaining; after all, we are up against the Tag Team Champions, but it does seem an odd reward for a loss; especially when she has been relegated to the opening match.

Even Kiyoshi, it seems, notices a little unfairness in this arrangement, even if he doesn't notice that Macey [because that is who he's talking about, in case you hadn't guessed;] had a partner.

Kiyoshi: It is an awkward situation, although I suppose I just have to make the best of it, just as, I am sure that she will. Really, I should not be paying it too much mind, but I can still see that parting glare over my shoulder.

Rolling his head back for a moment, he sighs. Then, of course, he gets back to writing.

Kiyoshi: Still, looking at it from a different perspective, it may be for the best. If we fight the same way against the Tag Champions, clowns that they may be, we will lose, and "we" is what it will be, since one man cannot carry a tag team, despite what our opponents may think.

There's a momentary pause, as Kiyoshi stops to consider what he actually knows about the Tag Champions.

Kiyoshi: It saddens me to some extent - although I do not quite think that is quite the right word - that Max Rowley has no idea who either myself or Graver are. Not only the obvious lack of respect that it implies, but also that whatever we fought to achieve, or indeed, have achieved, has already been forgotten. There may be a lesson in that somewhere, although I do not expect him to find it.

A disparaging note is creeping into the Yeti's voice as he says/writes this. It surprisies even Kiyoshi.

Kiyoshi: They are amusing enough, in small doses; and it is refreshing to see a young man with such command of the basics, although he has excellent form in his dropkick, from a personal stand-point, I always preferred the Tsuruta/Hansen style, which was less about such perfect form, and more about flinging two feet at the opponent. No trace of elegance about it, just pure impact. I suppose it comes from the Lucha Libre style, although the best Luchadors were always the ones who could put aside the style in order to win. Blue Panther is an excellent example of this...

Wow, he's digressing, quite significantly. He stops this line of thinking there, and gets back to his own thoughts.

Kiyoshi: Where was I? Oh yes, Max Rowley... Technically sound, but I feel he sets too much store by superficial things, the entertainment side of things. Perhaps I am wrong, and it is me who has no idea about Pro-Wrestling these days. I ought to speak to Graver about it, if I can find him before this Sunday.

And on that note, he puts his diary back in his back, hefts it onto his shoulders, stretches his legs out for a moment, and continues on his run.

[size0]* Who's not actually speaking. It's his voice, but it gets added after the recording. Possibly before, but I don't really want to spoil the effect by thinking too hard about it.
