Captain SPARKLE~!!!

Edinbrugh, Scotland: FIW had a show here some weeks ago, and it may come as a surprise to some to find anyone from the active roster back here, but here we are, following a cyclops with a Rugby shirt. This ought to answer most questions about the who and why: Jenny Chennault in the navy blue of the Scottish National Rugby Union team, just in time for the 3pm kick off at Murrayfield this afternoon. For the purposes of this promo however, she's just the ogre under the bridge; a railway runs past the stadium, crossing the Water of Leith, on a bridge, under which the Hellcat Champion lurks, possibly to accost passing Billy-goats, or most likely to find a quiet, out of the way spot to cut a quick promo before the game kicks off.

Jenny: Mystery Partner, huh?

She spits into the river, to indicate what she thinks of that particular idea.

Jenny: Seems like me an' Macey are of a single mind dis week: She don' need Roxie, an' Ah don't need whoever Ah been lumbered with. Seems to me like we oughta jus' scrap the tag team aspect'a dis, an' go straight to de bit where we beat each other's brains out. But den, what do Ah know, right?

Well? What does she know?

Jenny: Ah got dis strange feelin'at Ah'm not gonna like dis partner, 'specially if it's anythin' ta do with de few bars of a tune Ah caught after Ah fucked ol' T-Bird's shit up last week. If dese two things are connected, den Ah'm afraid Ah'm gonna have ta ask Macey an' Roxie ta leave me alone for a few minutes before we start, while Ah finish off a bit of business. Den maybe we can get down to dat handicap match Macey was on about.

She shoots an impatient look down to her wrist, where surprisingly enough, there's a watch. Raising her eyebrow, she realises she still has a little more time before she has to go, maybe to talk about something else. It takes her a moment or two to think exactly what she wants to talk about, but eventually Roxie gets a mention.

Jenny: Oh yeah, dat's right, Roxie. Ah heard y'all saw what me an' Macey've been gettin' up to recently, right? What'cha make dat, huh? Don' reckon you had ta deal wi' blood an' broken bones when you were Champ, huh? How'd ya reckon a twice-fractured nose'd look on your purdy face? Wouldn't stick up at such a perky angle, after dat, Ah don' reckon.

After bringing a hand up to her own face to make her point, she gives off a dark chuckle

Jenny: Wasn't life jus' so much easier back den? Happy li'l playground for y'all, school-yard crushes, an' a nice shiny toy ta play with, an' de only dark cloud was dat mean li'l cow, Jaime Lee. Good times, huh? Good fuckin' times.

This first may have sounded like a question, but the second time she says good times, it's a statement.

Jenny: But dat's enough about dem. Ah really don't like talkin' about de girls. Jus' thinkin' bout dem gets me a li'l wound up. Heh, you might'a guessed dat already. Anyway, just want to talk a little bit about somethin' Ah do like: Scotland.

Now how's that for a change of pace? As the locals would say "Get that right up ya."

Jenny: In a bar de other week, one'a dem types where ya ain't welcome if y'ain't a local, an' some guy starts givin' me gyp 'bout my accent, to de amusement of all concerned. A smashed glass, an' a bit of a kickin' later, an' suddenly Ah'm singin' some dirge* wi' his mates before some wankers in blue, and some other wankers in white start kickin' a ball around on de TV. One guy put it better'n Ah could wi de phrase "Fuckin' Get In."

She shrugs. Seems like she doesn't have any idea of it's meaning either.

Jenny: It was an ugly, dirty, crazy, game; in a pub fulla ugly, dirty crazy people. Ah tell ya, it was good ta jus' fade into de crowd for a bit; drinkin' and singin', and kickin' eight bells outta anyone dat looked at me funny.

I guess that qualifies as "Good Times."

Jenny: So, all ya drunk bastarts down at de Saltire, cheers for showin' a girl a good time. Ya might'a got a mention last week, but if Ah'm gonna dedicate a kickin' to ya, it might as well be a good one; an' it don't matter who's in mah corner, it's gonna be a good kickin'.

And with that, she reckons she's got to head off to the game.

[size0]* It's entirely possible that she's referring to Flower of Scotland, which is sung before Scottish Rugby Union games.
