Ash
Capt. Ash Kapow~!

Easy like a Wednesday night.
The scene fades in and opens to near-complete darkness, with only two faint sources of light in view. The first coming from a window in the distance, allowing the street lights from the city of Belfast to illuminate the glass and hug the nearby walls. And the second source of light comes from a small table lamp, dulled only by a cream shade, to the left of the screen. A figure moves smoothly through the shadows, given away by the light from the window, and glides in the direction of the lamp. Suddenly, the lampshade is removed and light floods the room, phasing Ash Koopa into the shot. Wearing just black boxer shorts and clutching the Fighting Spirit Championship, Ash sits down on the floor in front of his bed and stares into the camera, with only the right side of his face illuminated - the rest hidden by shadow.

Ash: "Let it be known that I never underestimate an opponent, no matter how big or how small they are."

Moving the Fighting Spirit Championship onto his lap, the belt vaguely reflects the light from the lamp, giving an under glow to Ash's face.

Ash: "And never let it be said that I don't give respect and honour when it is due. Those who earn it from me, I tell them."

Through the dull light, Ash can be seen nodding to the camera.

Ash: "Even still, it appears that I may be focusing too much of my attention on the Dual Crown Champion. That my old friend Maxx Anderson must come to Belfast and offer his help in a battle with Smark's Associates that, on several occasions now, I have said I do not want. And yet, I still trundle down that path of what could be viewed as career suicide. It is evident that, in order to get to the Dual Crown, I must pass through the ranks of minions and hired help that associate themselves with Prime. An impressive army that has my admiration and perhaps my envy too, but then also my pity and sympathy. Every super group goes the same way at some point in time."

Leaning forward, a faint smirk can be seen etching itself onto Ash's face through the shadows.

Ash: "Betrayal. In-fighting. And ultimately, self-destruction."

A chuckle escapes the darkness.

Ash: "I've been there. I've seen it happen. And this is not a warning, because I am more than confident that they all know that, at some point, it is on the horizon. Maybe even as soon as this Sunday if I am knocked off of my high horse. Jim O'Brien may survive another tournament or Chris Cage may prove his worth in a big match situation. But then, can you expect either of them - any of the Associates - to simply lay down for Prime when they have the opportunity of a life time in front of them on a silver platter? I certainly wouldn't put it past them. And just like me, I'm sure they are looking forward to an encounter with the Dual Crown Champion at the end of the evening."

Moving back through the shadows, Ash leans against something in the darkness - presumably his bed.

Ash: "And just like me, I'm sure they are paying little attention to the other twenty people in the battle royalé on Sunday. The Associates have three men in the match; a formidable unit if they can combine. There are no other solid, like-minded alliances in this match and if the Associates can focus on their objective, there may be no stopping them. If they can focus."

Again, through the shadows, a vague smirk can be seen creeping onto Ash's face.

Ash: "I can only imagine that Jim O'Brien, Harrison O'Reilly and Chris Cage will be leaving some room for error, each man believing one of the other two will be willing to aid him in an impending situation. None of them taking the other twenty individuals seriously. After my talk with Maxx last night, I have come to the realisation that, whilst the Associates are a dangerous force, the rest of the roster is far more explosive. Every person in this match has a different mindset, a different goal and a different approach. Every person in this match yearns for the same thing and to do that, you must throw all of the others out of your way. And as much as I fully intend to do that, I must also recognise that the longer I survive, the greater the odds are of my elimination. Though, I do enjoy defying the odds.."

Pushing himself away from the bed, Ash reaches up with his right hand and pulls the lamp slightly closer, illuminating the surrounding area much better.

Ash: "Coming into this match, there is no way to prepare. Every individual is going to be different. It may be possible to categorise each wrestler by their style, but even still, there are differences in the way they actually wrestle and approach each situation. As I say, everyone has the same objective in this match, but they all have different goals. My goal is to win and assert myself as the top contender. The best man. The man with the Fighting Spirit. Drake Love, I believe, will be looking to avenge his loss from Sunday. Kai Min Lee will certainly be looking for another mask. Nick Allen, Ethan Adams and El Lumberjacko will all be looking to cause damage to the Associates in their war with Smark. I just want to win."

With a shrug, Ash nods to the camera.

Ash: "There are people in this match that I have never faced. People who, quite frankly, I would prefer not to face. But if they get in my way, it is my full intention to throw them from the ring."

Looking down to his lap, the reflection of the Fighting Spirit Championship illuminates his whole face and Ash smiles as he basks in the golden glow.

Ash: "Some are saying I should focus on what I have and pay no heed to Smark and his Associates. My Fighting Spirit means the world to me, I won't lie. But I hold a pinfall victory over the Dual Crown Champion and I am due a shot at the belts. I understand that what I have takes priority in my life, but if I can get my hands on the Dual Crown, it is too great an opportunity to miss and I will not allow it to slip through my fingers. If I can do that by beating the entire roster, I will. Such a success will put me in the books for eternity. I accept any challenge to my Fighting Spirit, but the Dual Crown is in my sights."

Leaning forward, Ash positions himself on his knees and crawls toward the camera, ultimately moving out of the light.

Ash: "Who is going to stop me? Will it be Shaun Wilson? Kiyoshi Nakahata? Graver? Brianna? Drake? Roxxie? Cage? O'Brien? Perhaps even Dragon?"

Even through the darkness, a smirk can be seen creeping across Ash's face once again.

Ash: "I relish the thought of anyone getting in my way. Winning both matches on Sunday is my destiny and will be my crowning glory. Prime is not the man to beat.."

Moving closer still, Ash's head manages to block out the majority of the light in the room, creating a large black shadow in the middle of the screen.

Ash: "I am."
