Midas: I don't think I need to explain to you just how important this tag team championship match is... but for sake of making sure we're all on the same page here I will. Macey says as this particular scene fades in from the blackness. Standing behind Macey, cross armed and looking stern, or least trying to look stern because I'm sure he figures Macey would want it that way, is Stan Stevens. As of yet, with whom Stevens and Midas are holding audience with has yet to be revealed... although I'm sure it will come as little shock when they finally are. Midas: Not only are we standing on the brink of tag team championship glory, but we're also on the brink of making FIW history as the first all Hellcat tag team to be the tag team champions... Stevens: But... He says in effort to restate what he had said only a week ago. Why Stan would want to spoil Macey's day a second time is beyond me. Listening to her reaction was enough to see me wincing as well as second guessing an urge to point out her flaws! Stan must be a glutton for punishment! Casting her voice over her shoulder to Stan, however, Macey corrects his week-old historic FIW tag team obersvation. And gleefully too! Nothing makes a woman feel better than being right... all the time! Midas: I looked into it, Stan... Sam Kinloch vacated her tag team title, ruling the reign void. Just goes to show that not all Hellcats have the kind of integrity that I do... Macey sends her gaze forward again. Midas: And will once you and I become the world tag team champions. So obviously, you now understand that this is possibly the most important match of your career, yes? The camera pans back to now fully reveal all who are in attendence for this little pre-match pow-wow. It's Macey Midas, Stan Stevens, and of course, Macey's tag team partner, Roxie Stevenson-Galanoochie. The Striperella story of FIW fidgist with her hands and looks all around the room. Possibly in an effort to avoid eye contact with the larger and more imposing presence that is Macey Midas. Or because she likes the pretty colors... who knows with Roxie? Sometimes I'm sure she doesn't know! Midas: Because this will be the single most important match of my career! And to be upfront and honest with you, I'm not about to see the most important match of my career ruined because of some dumb blond and her dumb blond antics! That was harsh! Roxie cuts her eyes at Macey and glares deep into them, perhaps to find the meaning behind Macey's chosen words. Stevens: Yea! Stevens says while pointing a finger at Roxie from over Macey's shoulder. Midas: So before you figure this is just another lesbian showcase, let me remind you about just how big this match truly is. We're not simply racking the points up on another episode of ReVolt. And we're not bidding for a number one contenders billot on some run of the mill pay-per-view. This is a world tag team title opportunity and it's ours at Anarchy in the UK. Stevens: Yea! Midas: The biggest pay-per-view event on the FIW calendar. Stevens: Yea! Midas: The event that people spend their entire year working toward. Stevens: Yea! Midas: Where legends are made and where immortality is available to those who have what it takes to earn it.. Stevens: Y- Before Stan can add his bit, Macey grabs his hand and imediately silences The Man. After issuing Stan a hushing glare, Macey looks to Rocie again and narrows her eyes. Midas: This is my opportunity to restore a little dignity to the Hellcat division. This is my opportunity to show a world full of critics that female wrestlers are more than boob-jobs and tight pants. When I become a world tag team champion, I will be more than a Diva... I will be a Hellcat. And when all is said and done, when I am a recognized world champion, that will mean something again. So you need to take a moment and think this all through. And then you need to decide just how it's going to be, because I'll be deadly serious with you, Roxie... if you gamble with this once in a lifetime opportunity of mine... Macey closes the slight space that had existed between herself and Roxie, and comes face to face with her partner. The Hellcats engage in a red hot stare-down. A silent battle of wills, and Macey is first to break the silence. Midas: I'll be damn sure to bury you out there. So on top of everything else that you need to consider, consider this... you don't want to mess with the dominant female of FIW and her chance for immortality. You don't want to mess with a Midas. Feeling she's said all she needs to say, Macey backs away from Roxie yet keeps her eyes locked on her. Macey soon backs right out of the scene, but Stan lingers behind a moment longer. With a half smirk on his face, Stevens steps up into Roxie's face just as Macey did. Stevens: Yea. And then leaves. Roxie is now left alone, burdened with uneccessary and unfair pressure. How will she react? Well, that's up to Joe... |

Roxie stands still shocked over the preceding events that have just transpired between her and her partner. Shocked and feeling a little on the mute side as the door finishes closing after Stan’s departure. What could she say now? I mean she’s all alone and such, what could be said that would make her look sane now? Roxie finally speaks through a short sigh as she runs a shaky looking hand through her hair. “Wow, that’s your partner?” There’s that voice again only this time Roxie doesn’t look so troubled hearing it. Instead her eyes are still fixed on the closed door knowing that Macey is most likely somewhere down the hall. “Yep.” “Well nothing against your selection choice, but she’s kind of a bitch.” “I know.” Roxie says calmly turning away from the door. “But the company stuck us together. Sort of a test run I guess.” “Test run?” The voice sounds confused as Roxie heads over to her small gym bag pulling out a bottle of water with the wrapper pulled off of it. “Yeah.” Roxie begins before taking a couple of small sips from the bottle before twisting the cap back on. “They want to see if we can be the first steady hellcat union to both win and hold onto the titles for more than two seconds.” “Oh yeah, that ‘victory’ the company claims never truly happened because one of them dropped the title upon winning it or something.” Roxie waits until she’s seated down on the bench before responding. “The two created a pretty big black eye or something for hellcats teaming up and such. I’m thinking that this company is putting a lot of faith in Macey and myself.” Something sounds a little odd in Roxie’s voice and it goes picked up by the voice. “You don’t sound too thrilled about this chance.” “Not really.” Roxie says as though finally thankful she can get it off her chest. “If that visit Macey paid me is just a sign of things to come I don’t think this union can really work.” The voice remains silent knowing that even though has stopped talking she’s only talking a break. “If we win then comes the defences. Every guy out there is going to play it off like they’re on some male supremacist thing or something saying that we don’t deserve the titles because we’re just some sort of gimmick team.” Outside the room, Toby stops by the door staring at it with a puzzled expression over her face about why Roxie is having a one sided conversation in her locker room. “Then every defence becomes stressful and all the fun leaves the game for me.” Now Roxie seems troubled as she sits quietly going over what just might be a very stressful period in her life. However, moments of thinking over this result in her smiling and bringing out a short laugh. “Heh…at least next week I’m back home with Vicky again.” A new focus on Roxie’s mind as she goes over the thought of meeting up with her wife once the tour is finished. That seems to keep her smiling. |

Bostock: Macey Midas, we are T-minus four days until Anarchy in the UK and your world tag team title match, but I dare say the chemistry between you and Roxie doesn't smack of the sort that achieves tag team dominance or earns tag team gold. Toby remarks as he stands foreground to the FIW banner background. Indeed, Macey Midas is there to receive said remarks and appears none too impressed with them. Hostility is the mood as Macey has her arms crossed, her lips pursed, and here eyes narrowed and cutting into wee Toby. Midas: A typical comment from a narrow minded, pigeon holing, and chauvinistic pig like you, Toby! Mee-yow! Midas: You know, it doesn't surprise me one bit that of all things you would base an interview on, the fact that you don't think and all Hellcat tag team stands a chance is it. Yet, here we stand on the cusp of Anarchy in the UK... the show of shows here in FIW... and we have an all Hellcat tag team rising above all others to challenge for the world tag team titles. And do you know what that tells me, Toby Bostock? She asks even thought she doesn't leave much silence for Toby to fill with an answer. Midas: That tells me that an all Hellcat tag team does in fact stand a chance! Management threw down the gauntlet in form of the new tag team rules here in FIW and we picked it up, and never once did we miss a beat. Matt King and Dragon. Graver and Kiyoshi Nakahata. Brianna Holly Chesterfield and Jenny Chennault. Together, Roxie Galanoochie and I are undefeated as a tag team, and that's the way it's going to stay right on through Anarchy in the UK. Toby nods in acknowledgment. It should also be noted that after mentioning Jenny's name, Macey lingers in a moment of disgust. The same could be said for that of Kiyoshi Nakahata, but with more a tone that resides in disappointment. Defeating ones hero only truly offers one of two emotions. Elation or disappointment. Obviously Macey is feeling the latter. Bostock: Well, with all due respect, Macey, that honestly remains to be seen... and I dare say, that doesn't answer my question. It's obvious that you and Roxie are worlds apart both professionally and personally. Could that be, even in the slightest, the downfall of your tag team dream? Macey sighs heavily while shaking her head at the question. Midas: It's like you don't even listen. You just dig, dig, dig! Every time Macey spouts the word dig she pokes Toby in the chest... and it hurts. Midas: I'm going to tell it to you straight, Toby Bostock, because it's obvious that it's the only way to pacify that big mouth and satisfy that one track mind of yours. It's no secret that Roxie Galanoochie and I are worlds apart. To be perfectly honest, I have no peers what so ever amongst the Hellcat division, and that includes the one-eyed likes of Jenny Chennault! But what it all boils down to is I have no choice but to invest a little faith in Roxie. Like the old saying goes, it takes two to tango. Which is why I took the time to sort her out. Toby cocks a brow. I sense a disturbance in the force. Bostock: And by sort her out I'm assuming you mean threaten her, am I right? Macey's initial reaction is to huff a boastful little laugh. Having mustered some control over herself, however, she decides to approach the question with more consideration to tact than pride. Midas: You say threaten... I say incentive. My motive was to provide Roxie with incentive to give a damn about this title match. After all, this may be just another title defense for Hijo and Phoenix, but for Roxie and I, this is oh so much more than an opportunity to wear FIW chrome. This is an opportunity to show the FIW fan base that the Hellcat division is more than fake breasts and cat fights. We're hard working and ass kicking femme fatales who deserve just as much respect as professional wrestlers as any man does on this roster. We ride the same road, make the same sacrifices, and risk the same fates. Pulling Roxie aside and reminding her of such is simply a means to motivate her. Macey's answer is delivered with both integrity and innocence... but we know better! Bostock: I won't deny that your quest is noble in it's own way, but speaking from a track records perspective, you have already squandered one FIW championship opportunity. It could be argued that you simply don't have what it takes to wear an FIW championship. Toby's words pierce deep into Macey and stir a rage within that erupts rather quickly. Macey lashes out that Toby by shoving him backward and into the wall behind. She then leans against Toby, pinning him to the wall with her forearm. Toby chokes and struggles to no avail against Macey's unbridled might while she seethes and heaves mere inches from his desperate features. Midas: I don't have what it takes? She asks with a severe degree of indignance that dares Toby to answer. It may be that Toby's too smart to be a fool, or it may be that he's choking so much that he can't speak. Either-or, Toby says nothing. Midas: I don't have what it takes?! She asks once again. This time with more aggression. Toby struggles while Macey unleashes that trademark Midas temper. However, where Max was more verbal, Macey is obviously far more physical! Wrong Midas to provoke! Midas: Let me remind you of just who in the hell I am, Toby Bostock! I am the dominant female of FIW. I am a second generation wrestler. But most importantly, I am a Midas! She yells while pushing with just a little more pressure into Toby's throat. She doesn’t just want to scare him. She wants to hurt him. Then he'll surely never forget! Midas: This business, and more over, winning world championships is in my blood! And at Anarchy in the UK, whether Roxie Galanoochie is ready to play the game or not, I am going to win those world tag team championships simply because it is my legacy! My father was a great champion and he taught me to be a great champion! I most certainly DO have what it takes, you miserable little-! Before she can finish that sentence, a barrage of FIW officials accompanied by Stan Stevens rush onto the set and pry Macey from Toby. Toby immediately falls to the floor, coughing and wheezing, while Stan wraps his arms around Macey's waist and attempts to drag the roaring Hellcat away. As she's hauled from the scene, Macey screams, kicks, and fights with flailing aggression. Midas: I DO have what it takes! She screams again as both her presence and voice disappears down the hall. Midas: I DO have what it takes! |

The light sound of padded feet running echoes through the small and almost vacant hall as there are still those officials trying to clear up any fans or other workers who were in the area watching what had just transpired. Nobody has even stopped to check to see if Toby is okay, which really isn’t too surprising. Though the padded feet do stop next to him as Roxie crouches down beside Toby to see if he’s okay. At least somebody cares. “What happened? Are you okay?” Roxie’s eyes monitor Toby looking for any pain through movement. Toby’s eyes match up to Roxie’s as he slowly raises his hand to press it against her cheek. This creates a smile for her as she looks down on him. “It was…Macey.” Roxie looks absolutely shocked that her own partner would do this as Toby turns his head not wanting to see the upset expression his words have created. “She had one of her episodes again. I…I tried to-“ “Don’t you think you’re selling this a bit much?” Mark Jackson, one of the first on the scene to break up the “incident” (as it’s now be come known), looks down at Toby with slight annoyance over the interviewers oversell of the attack. There was the damage, yeah, but it seems he’s just milking it for everything it’s worth right now. After being found out, Toby sits up so his back is against the wall. Roxie, still feeling concerned (and still thinking that Toby shouldn’t move) remains in the same crouching position holding his hand. Mark just shakes his head before turning to continue dispersing the onlookers. “Sorry.” A hint of weak confidence strides in Toby’s voice as he fears that this’ll be the end of their friendship. However, Roxie sees it differently. “That’s okay. You were only doing your job, I wouldn’t have expected you to approach her any differently.” At first Toby has to wonder what Roxie is talking about but soon realizes that the attack was as brutal as he made it appear. He could go on like this, but is that really his style? “No, see, I was…never mind.” Toby hopes that the tone of his voice will reveal that he’s pretty much alright (what, you thought he’d continue his move? Pfft, losers) and that Roxie shouldn’t be this concerned about him. “Shh.” Roxie says nearly planting a finger against his lips. “I’ll go and take care of things. You just rest.” She seriously isn’t getting this, is she? Roxie looks up at Mark who’s just now turned back from the crowd that’s now finally under control. “Mark? Would you look after him for me? I have some serious thinking to do.” Mark stands there silently glaring down at Toby as though he were still actually playing the “helpless victim” card. Toby just shrugs his shoulders silently denying it as Roxie rises up to her feet. “Thanks.” Roxie gives Toby one more concerned look before turning to head back down the hall leaving the interviewer to stammer out a defence against the senior referee. Years, I mean, an hour later within Roxie’s shared dressing room. Shared, yes, but Roxie’s in there all alone at the moment as she sits on a small stool staring into the make up mirror going over her next move and how she should go about doing it. “You’ve been staring at yourself in the mirror for a while now, mind telling me if you’ve made your decision yet?” Or maybe she isn’t alone as Roxie looks up into the mirror seeing…well, kinda hard to tell for us as with the angle we’re seeing this from we can’t really see who’s standing in the mirror there. “I don’t know.” “Well, you just might never have another chance like this again.” “I know, but Macey’s actions shouldn’t go rewarded.” “She is determined. But if she knew what was going through your mind right now…” Roxie doesn’t even want to think of what kind of violent meeting that would turn out to be. Instead, she lets out a sigh turning away from the mirror and toward the middle of the room. “I mean you’re actually talking about costing her the tag team titles. You saw what she did to Toby and all he did was act as a messenger from the fans.” “I know!” Roxie shouts out trying to both let the voice know she understand while at the same time trying to keep him from going any further. “I know.” Roxie turns back toward the mirror landing her head in between her hands as the elbows balance on the counter. “Do you know what this win would do for me? I haven’t said it myself but I know others may have already realized this.” Roxie gives the voice a moment to answer but hearing nothing, she goes on. “This would be my first actual reign here. Every other title I’ve held means nothing because I was either never able to defend it or there were those that never considered my reign to be meaningful. When I won that Roughouse title in the WWICW, the place closed like two weeks later so I could never go anywhere with it. In the DU where I won the Askai championship, I was so hated by everyone that I had to leave a few days later vacating the title. My Hellcat reign people still consider to be a joke and my I was never truly the Fighting Spirit champion for very long, which must say something about my own fighting spirit. But this championship…” Roxie begins turning around back to the middle of the room. Her eyes soon begin to sparkle over at just the mere thought of what a reign this could be. “This one I can feel will really make my mark. Years of being ignored and overlooked…I’ll finally have an accomplishment I can be proud of! But…” Roxie finishes on a less than glittery note as the voice soon takes over from there. “But it would be with Macey.” Those words alone seem to be enough to take both the heart and spirit from Roxie as she sits silently as the problem has not become easier with words, but rather quite the opposite. |
