You Can’t Run Anymore! The past two weeks had been long and arduous for Mike Harrison. He had to drop some twenty pounds within a week to make the cruiserweight limit, and when he competed in the match he went to the final four, and that had certainly taken its toll. And last Sunday, Mike had competed in a rumble match, and had lasted quite a while before getting eliminated by the man he faces this week – Havok. A man he had great distaste for, and someone he wanted to hurt desperately. Not in the sense that he enjoyed dishing out punishment on fellow human beings, but rather to set a precedent to anyone who ever consider screwing him over. If you let one person do it unhindered, then the rest will follow in a domino effect, and soon enough people will walk all over you. To keep respect and a status in a company, one must defend oneself to make sure that no one walks over you, and those who try are put down without mercy. As our scene fades in we find ourselves in a darkened room. In the distance, not too far, we hear the sound of metal on metal. We decide to follow it; after all, we had been called to this area by Mike Harrison himself. He had things to say. Things that he needed to get off his chest before the match on Sunday night. In fact, he had many things to say, but he knew that he needed to keep his words as short and sweet as possible. Havok wasn’t one for detailed exchanges, and Mike had considered the things he had to say were too long. But he knew he needed to make his point, and soon enough, we find the man we came here to meet. Unfortunately, though, we hear only his voice. Mike Harrison: Finally, after two weeks of asking, I have finally got what I have wanted. I have the chance to face Havok one on one, man to man, mano-a-mano. Admittedly, I do not know what type of match it will be until the wheel has been spun, but alas, sometimes one must make concessions in order to get what one really wants. And what I want Havok is you in that ring, and no one, I repeat, no one will stop me from doing what I want... The camera pans around trying to find Mike with no success. The metal on metal once again returns as Mike falls silent for the moment, letting people’s imaginations run wild. Soon enough he continues. Mike Harrison: A month ago we never even knew each other, but in the past few weeks we have become regulars in finding ourselves in the same matches and situations. Now I normally wouldn’t care, sometimes being in the same matches is unavoidable. But unfortunately, you have found a way of screwing me over. Almost three weeks ago when you were meant to be my partner, you decided to stab me in the back; and last Sunday, you eliminated me from the rumble, but that is forgivable unlike stabbing me in the back. You see, Havok, when you turned on me, you made the biggest mistake of your life! Mike walks out into the light and in his hand he holds a lead pipe. He taps the pipe rhythmically on his hand. Mike Harrison: Maybe I shouldn’t blame you, you are crazy after all, but I can’t let this drop. If I drop it, then everyone will see me as nothing but a weak man who accepts everything that comes his way. They will see me as a man who lets people walk over him with no consequences. I will become a joke. I cannot allow that to happen, Havok. I cannot allow for my name to be dishonoured and disrespected in such a way. I want my name up in the limelight, like this week. I want my name to be feared, as well as respected. That is why I must act on what you did, and that is why I cannot let it drop. But perhaps this is not personal, rather it is simply business... Mike pauses for a moment in thought, before reacting in with a swing of the lead pipe against the concrete pole to his left. BANG! Mike Harrison: Ah, screw it! This week is both personal and business. I don’t like being screwed over. I don’t like being stabbed in the back. So I am going to enjoy this week, as it not only gives me the opportunity to set a precedent for what happens to people who try me; but it will also give me great pleasure watching you squirm this week. You may think of yourself as a bit of a psycho, as loose cannon... But believe me, sunshine; when people hurt me, they get hurt far worse. What you did was merely a drop in the ocean compared to what I am going to do to you this week. I hope this match has no rules. I hope it allows weapons and bloodshed, because no matter what, I am going to bust you open, and then I am going to make you beg for me to stop. Yes, I am going to make an example of you! His features reveal nothing but anger and passion. He clearly wanted to be in the ring right now, despite what he had been through days before. It no longer bothered him. He was running on pure adrenalin, and he wanted the match now, not on Sunday night! Mike Harrison: If I was you, I would try and fix this match in a way that makes damn sure that I don’t get a weapon in my hand, and whilst you’re at it, I would try and fix this match so I don’t get my hands on you. You obviously have the connections and maybe some friends who can help you avoid what is to come. Go on, I implore you to fix this match and call on aid... no wait, I DARE YOU. Yes, I DARE you to try something this week Havok, because you know what will happen if you do? Mike begins to chuckle, almost evilly. Mike Harrison: This! Another swing of the lead pipe, this time to the next concrete pole – BANG! Quickly followed by another – BANG! And another – BANG! Mike Harrison: No matter what happens this week in regard to what the matchup becomes, and no matter whether or not you seek aid. You have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. This week is your judgement day, and I will be the judge, the jury, and the executioner. I will not let you escape unpunished. My reputation is on the line this week, and I will do everything in my power to defend it. If that means hurting you, taking you out, so be it. I honestly do not care. This week isn’t about being the good guy versus the bad guy, or who gets the loudest cheers from the fans. This week is about revenge, full stop, end of argument. And unfortunately for you Havok, these past two weeks have meant that your judgement day has been delayed, and that I have not been able to deal with you. But your time has now run out and you must face what is to come. Havok, you can’t run anymore! Mike brushes back his blonde hair behind his ears with his free hand, and returns to rhythmically tapping his hand with the lead pipe as he stands before the camera. His glaring stare at the camera don’t fluctuate at all, instead, it reveals an unyielding focus and determination to cause bodily harm. His eyes reveal that Havok will find no mercy this week, and the only thing that would stop him is hearing the ring bell ring for the second time. But even that is doubtful. In fact, if anything, Mike has made his intentions quite clear. Havok would not get out of this week unscathed. He was in for hell, and Mike was going to make damn sure that he got in every shot and every blow that that bastard deserved. No one screws Mike Harrison, not Havok, not anyone! Mike Harrison: Let me make one thing very clear, Havok. This week, you will face off against me, and we will fight till the bitter end. I am sure that a fight does not scare you, and hell, I am sure my previous words will not scare you. But believe me, they should. Any normal person right now would be bricking it, and they would be pleading to the management to scrap this match. But they won’t scrap it, Havok. They have finally given me what I want, and I am going to take it with both hands. The past few weeks have been distractions, both welcome and unwelcome. Did I truly want a title? Maybe, but I wanted you in that ring with me more than anything else. The titles can wait; they will come at another time. But you and this issue needs to be dealt with, and this week it will be done... but only if I decided to end it at that time. I could very well decide you need to be hurt some more. I could decide that I need to run you out of town. But I am not sure that I need to go that far, as you are, despite all of this, somewhat entertaining. Mike shrugs and points the lead pipe towards the camera. Mike Harrison: But like I was saying, let me make it very clear that I am solely focused on you. On hurting you and making you pay. The time for distractions is over, and the time for action has come. And sunshine, clown, pansy, whatever... I am coming for you, and you are going to regret ever being born. You will regret ever hearing my name. And you sure as hell will regret attacking me. Because at the end of it all, I am going to tear you limb from limb. No more good guy bad guy bullshit, this is payback, and as the saying goes... paybacks a BITCH!!! The lead pipe is swung once again with full force, but unlike the previous times, this one hits the camera full on, knocking it to the ground with a sickening smash. The cameraman also falls to the ground, shouting in pain. All that we can hear is Mike Harrison laugh. But before the camera fails completely, he kneels down on one knee and utters these final words. Mike Harrison: Choke on that, sunshine! Darkness Fin |
