The scene opens up moving down a hallway, on either side of the screen there are paintings... there does not seem to be any form and in fact look like the artist may have been using the style of throwing paint at canvas and see what happens, they each have a white cross in the corner. As the camera moves down the hall you finally see something in the paintings that is at least semi recognizable, on one of the canvases there is a red and blue facial imprint... suddenly from down the hall you hear Christian Cruz: "If your mind dislike any thing, obey it. I will forestall their repair hither, and say you are not fit." The camera finally gets to where it's going by centering the shot in a cylindrical room, with painting supplies strewn all over the walls, the most dominant thing in the shot as anyone can see is an artists easel with a canvas sitting on it... behind the easel you see FIW's Tortured Artist, Christian Cruz's head, who for some reason is wearing a beret... Christian Cruz: "Not a whit, we defy augury. There is special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come—the readiness is all. Since no man, of aught he leaves, knows what is't to leave betimes, let be." There is motion behind the canvas though you do not see what Christian Cruz: "Neo still speaks of my end as if it is something I should be afraid of. As I said last time I do not fear it. Even if it is only my professional endeavors. Because everything that has a beginning has an ending, its an inevitability... just as by the same token at every end lies a new beginning. " Cruz pauses Christian Cruz: "I stated this quite succinctly in my last promotion yet Neo decided to push again, so I felt it needed to be expanded on. Ending my life or merely my career only makes my value as an artist grow, and my statements louder. Artists and martyrs are never truly appreciated in their own lifetimes after all." You see Cruz's shoulder move you can only assume he's painting on the canvas Christian Cruz: "I suppose I should rescind what I said about Terrance Cane.... you see I said "This TC wishes to try and use me as some symbolic gesture to send a message to Krychek" what I should have said was "This TC wishes to try and use me as some symbolic gesture to send a message to Krychek and the brotherhood as a whole."" Cruz wipes his hair with his elbow Christian Cruz: "Are you happy? The rest of my point still stands. Or are you trying to imply that you are NOT sending a message by trying to systematically take out anyone even remotely aligned with the Brotherhood. " Cruz pauses Christian Cruz: "I mean that must be what you're doing I mean after-all last week weren't you using your knew found indignation to "take out Max Rowley". I mean he's not a member but he seems to have no qualms with us." Cruz shakes his head Christian Cruz: "I direct your attention to Rurik on the topic of trying to "end Neo's life" he already explained that was not the case I'm sure. I could go into it... but really what does it matter you won't listen to me... or him... you clearly haven't yet, otherwise you would have learned about escalation." Cruz continues his painting Christian Cruz: "Though after that your promo deteriorated into a training session with your mentor. There's really nothing I can say against that. After all, I'm all for self improvement... no matter who you choose to do it with. Though, from everything I've ever seen Mr. Nuller is considered your mentor not Mr. Carner... but he seems to be leaving it up to Neo to handle it. Maybe Nuller's ashamed to be seen with you since he won his title. But that's just one outside critics observation... and as an artist I've had my share of them that completely miss the point of my work." Cruz pauses Christian Cruz: "Though I must admit with both Terrance, and Neo gunning for myself this week I was a bit unnerved... as an artist themselves do not like to be the center of attention... they like their work to outshine them both." You hear the clattering of a palette being unceremoniously dropped onto a box. Christian Cruz: "But I took that and found a way to use it in my newest piece... and what I enjoy about invoking Vengeful anger in my work, it's not a hard subject to capitalize. " Cruz pauses Christian Cruz: "And with that I unveil my latest creation to the world. "Juxtaposed Memories of Unique Approach" " Cruz knocks the canvas out of his way revealing that he's painted a large target on his chest with the bulls-eye dead center over his heart. the area around it slowly fades to black, showing the bulls-eye by itself for just a second before it too fades. |
