What it is.

The scene opens in another Big Boys Barbecue Family Restaurant, complete with branding, crap on the walls, and lots of families having good times with each other. And of course, at the forefront, sits the same three familiar faces in the same arrangement from left to right: "Big" Bob DeFarma, FIW's Fighting Spirit Champion "Big Country" Rick Nuller, and -- a girl known as "Small Nikki"1 in her wrestling days, but still has a right to that nickname today -- Nikki DeFarma. The three are casually enjoying an appetizer of honey-roasted chicken fingers. Big Country: You know, I feel like maybe I'm not doin' such a good job of mentorin'. "Big" Bob DeFarma: What do you mean by that? Big Country: All this time that I've been helpin' Terry Cane train, in all of two months now, I have not once invited him out to dinner. Bob and Nikki both gasp. Bob, in fact, suddenly begins to cough violently. Nikki DeFarma: Daddy! You alright? Bob nods his head as he covers his mouth in the midst of his coughing fit. Big Country: Take a drink a water. Bob shoots Rick a glance which translates approximately to "I know, idiot," and then snatches his glass of water, still coughing. When he can stop hacking away for long enough, he sips the water. He slams the glass down, lets out a sigh of relief. The smile on his face persists... right up until his coughing fit continues. At this point, Rick and Nikki simply spectate while Bob continues choking, until his coughs give way to less noisy throat clearing. "Big" Bob DeFarma: Something musta went down the wrong pipe. Big Country: Yeah, I figured as much. Nikki DeFarma: You haven't invited him out even a single time, Uncle Rick? Where are your manners!? Nikki flat-out scolds Rick Nuller, complete with shaking her finger. Big Country: I've had a lot goin' on. Nikki DeFarma: No excuses! Call 'im up right now, see if he can come out tonight! Rick shoots Nikki a grin. Big Country: Oh, didn't I tell you? I already did. He should be comin' out any minute, in fact. And right on cue, a figure shows up in frame. Rick and the others look up, and as a somewhat surprised expression extends across Rick's face, the camera zooms out and reveals... Big Country: ...Well hello there, Rebecca. ...The back (and backside) of Rebecca Hunter, in "business" attire -- a white dress-shirt and a gray polyester knee-length skirt. Rebecca Hunter: So this is one of your restaurants? Rick gives a nod. Big Country: Sure is. You here for business or pleasure? Rebecca strolls around the table, behind Nikki, and crouches down between Nikki and Rick with a smirk. Rebecca Hunter: Hun, for me, business is pleasure. Big Country: Well, why don't you pull up a seat, then. Rebecca Hunter: I won't be long. I just want your input on your opponents this Sunday: Rufus Harlowe and Christian Cruz. Rick raises his eyebrows as he looks down at the table. Big Country: Rufus an' I worked together las' week along with Max Rowley to beat Anna an' the Bad Girls in a... "bra an' panties" match. "Big" Bob DeFarma: Mhm. Rick turns his head to Rebecca, who, in her most professional fashion, holds a microphone close to Rick's mouth. Big Country: I can hones'ly say, Havok has some interestin' ideas when it comes to stipulations. Nikki DeFarma: Yeah, it's a good thing you won that match, Uncle Rick. Did you know it was a bra and panties match going into it? Big Country: Nope. Bob turns his head to Rick suddenly, with a look of knowing fear in his eyes. "Big" Bob DeFarma: Oh Lord... You don't mean-- Big Country: Yeah I do. It was hot. The strap held my bits in place, an' my overalls covered 'em. Nikki and Rebecca stare at Rick wide-eyed, and Bob gives us a fulfilling face-palm. Big Country: Anyway, I expect Rufus to be a challenge as usual. On the other hand, I don't know what to expect from Mr. Cruz. Rebecca Hunter: You are aware that he is a member of the Brotherhood along with Rufus Harlowe? Big Country: That I am. He glances between Bob and Nikki before he continues speaking to Rebecca. Big Country: But I didn't find that out until recently, when he played along on the "assault Neo Carner" Brotherhood Bandwagon. Nikki DeFarma: But it came up before, didn't it? Big Country: I'm sure it did, jus' that I didn't get the memo myself. I've been busy lately, an' it's not easy keepin' up with the goin's on of the business. Rick holds his chin in thought, looking down at the table. Big Country: He fancies himself an artist, doesn't he? Rebecca Hunter: That's correct. His eyes redirect from the table toward Rebecca's face. Big Country: You know wha's interestin'? A couple short months ago, I made the argument to Rurik Krychek an' Max Rowley that Professional Wrestlin' is an art form. Rebecca Hunter: Yes, I remember that. I also remember that Toby wouldn't shut up about how you wanted to destroy video games. Big Country: Yeah. But anyway, now he's got a man on the Brotherhood what considers himself an artist of the medium of professional wrestlin'. "Big" Bob DeFarma: Mhm. Rick nods his head as he continues to think. Big Country: So that leaves me to wonder what Mr. Cruz stands to gain from his association with the Brotherhood. He doesn't like the people in this business? That's a darn shame because we are this business. So he's with Krychek an' is gonna destroy it? Where does that leave him? Backyard matches. Nobody speaks for a few seconds, and Rick continues. Big Country: Okay, I could see how that might work for him. Maybe he don't like audiences. Jus' cause somebody likes to paint pictures don't mean they like people lookin' at 'em. Right? He's evidently still pondering Cruz's place in the Brotherhood, when another figure finally shows up. Rick snaps out of his thought as he looks up at the figure with a smile. Big Country: Ah... Terry. Have a seat an' eat some chicken tenders. Le's talk business. He motions to either side of him. Big Country: You meet my associates? This is my good friend Bob DeFarma, an' over here's his daughter Nikki. "Big" Bob DeFarma: Hey there. Nikki DeFarma: Howdy! Big Country: An' I'm sure you know Rebecca by now. Bob and Nikki each offer Terry a hand in greeting. [size0]1"Little Nikki" has a better ring to it, I think. However, I cannot vouch for the Adam Sandler film that the name sounds like. |

Terry shakes the hands of Bob Deferma and Nikki Deferma. He then shakes the hand of Rebecca and Ricks. He takes a seat T.C.:”Mr. Deferma. Ms. Deferma. Nice to meet you. Rebecca.” He looks the place over and turns to Rick T.C.:”So this is one of your restaurants. I have never been to one before, it looks nice” Rebecca who has now moved over to where Terry is now sitting, has put her hand on his shoulder Rebecca:”Hey Terry. You’re just the big man I wanted to talk to. Can I get a few words?” Terry smiles at her, looks from her hand to, well you can guess where next, then to her face. T.C.:”Sure Rebecca, what do you want to know?” Rebecca pulls a chair to the table and sits down. She pulls out a tape recorder and pushes play and moves it toward Terry Rebecca:”First off, I wanted to get your thoughts on your match last week” Terry picks up a chicken wing and puts it in his mouth. He chews it and swallows before he answers the question T.C.:”Well I guess you can say I didn’t get the job done. In the match I didn’t win and they are still running around flapping their jaws. But it hasn’t stopped me from my mission to rid FIW of the brotherhood. In fact it has made my resolve even stronger” Rebecca nods and moves her tape recorder to her Rebecca:”Speaking of the Brotherhood. This week on revolt you and “Big Country” here are teaming against the Brotherhoods, Rufus Harlowe and Christian Cruz. What are your thoughts on the match?” She moves the tape recorder back to Terry, who looks at the three other guests then back to Rebecca T.C:”I saw that. I think me and Rick… He points over to Rick… here might have the slight advantage in the match. Rick and I have teamed before. We know each others moves and style in the ring. If I am right Rufus and Chris has never teamed before. Yes they are part of the Brotherhood, but still when you team with someone for the first time, you don’t know their style, so to speak” Rebecca goes to move the tape recorder, but Terry puts his hand on hers to stop it T.C.:”My conversation with Neo last week opened my eyes a little bit. He made me realize that, yes I need to bring out the aggressive side of me, in the ring at least. I hope Christian remembers how it felt when I slammed my fist to his head. That is just of a little taste of what I am going to give him. As for Rufus, I think he might know of the aggressive side. Just ask him how it felt when my boot connected with the side of his head. This is a warning to them. They haven’t seen anything yet” Terry picks up his drink and takes a sip. His hand stays on Rebecca’s hand to keep the tape recorder where it is T.C.:”Neo is right. I am here to be successful. That hasn’t came easy for me, but what it has done is made me train extra hard, work extra hard. This week I most of my time is being spent in the gym and studying tapes, except for this little break here. I will listen to Ricks tutelage here and when Sunday is all said and done, our hands will be the ones raised” He lets go of Rebecca’s hand. She moves the recorder back to her Rebecca:”What about the challenge Rufus has made? The one where you will face off with Roy Harlowe?” The tape recorder gets pushed back to Terry, who is smiling T.C.:”I think Rick here said perfect. Bring it on. I look forward to destroying the younger Harlowe. Terry reaches over and pushes the stop button on the tape recorder. He looks at Rebecca T.C.:”Now if you will excuse me. Me and Rick here have some strategy to talk over.” Rebecca gets up in a huff and storms off. Terry picks up another chicken tender T.C.:”Dam. These are some good chicken tenders" |
