Urban. Night. Outside on the curb sits Keith Williams, waiting for a cab maybe? He is dressed in a lax and comfortable outfit of just shorts with a tank-top. Held in his hand is a replica ELJ mask that he looks at with an intense concentration. Keith Williams: "This is a symbol of your weakness." One would assume he's referring to Ash Koopa because he used to team with El Lumberjacko as the team with no name. Keith Williams: "You wore it like a badge of honor on your shoulder, exposing it to everyone. That...disease. You let it linger around you and infect your mind. The man I once knew that had no sympathy suddenly started to grow a heart three times as big. A soft, gooey man with no spine. You were confused at first, but now you see the light. Misguided by the fact we won as a tag-team weeks ago you believed that my plight against you was over. Far from it, my friend! I made it perfectly clear when you decided to put your nose in my business. You were commentating, that's a fact, but you walked away from your spot to try and meddle in my affairs. Unfortunately, or should I say, luckily, I was able to make an example out of you as well as Jenny and Pyotr." His concentration and focus doesn't break from the gaze he maintains on the mask. Keith Williams: "I begged, I pleaded, and now I'm going to have to kill you in order to drag out the person I want to see most." This mention of another character draws Keith's eyes to meet the camera. Keith Williams: "Phoenix. Give me your best, I don't want to have to settle for facing the KoopaManiac version. I want the personality out of your thousands that gives you the greatest edge. I know he's in there somewhere, dig out my mentor and show FIW what you've been holding back forever. I want the dark side of you to creep out, Ashley. Stop being a woman about this. You know and I know that without purple in your veins you'll never be able to climb to the top. I've surpassed you in every way. A former three time Fighting Spirit Champion. Is that supposed to make me applaud you? When I came here I went straight for the number one spot. You've settled for slapping ass with a guy like El Lumberjacko and wrestling guys on the bottom of the totem pole. You don't want a challenge, you just want a bone thrown your way for the hell of it." Williams shakes his head in disgust of Koopa. Keith Williams: "Grand Prix Champion. That doesn't mean shit to me. All that spells out to everyone is that you will always be considered number two in comparison to me. Face it, you're a washed up, cripple. The student has out grown his teacher's tutelage, and now he must break his knee in half. That oh so sweet and tender spot. Or the fact that your neck isn't 100% at any given time when you enter the ring. I'm like a shark out for blood. The difference between you and I is that I'll do whatever it takes to win. I have no mercy, and when we tie up it's going to be the biggest mistake you ever made." From behind his back the Hollywood Playboy brings into view a squeeze bottle of lighter fluid along with a box of matches. Finally releasing his grip on the mask, Keith lets go and it falls to the asphalt street. Taking his time the FIW World Tag Team Champion makes sure to completely douse the mask, emptying the entire bottle on ELJ's merchandise. Lighting a match, the flame dances on end from the stick and Keith's eyes glow in the darkness. Keith Williams: "Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. Let the Phoenix rise!" Instead of a mustache stroke he flicks the match on the mask and it goes up in a ball of flames, completely engulfed in itself in a matter of seconds. KW stands back from the blaze, entranced by the fast burning fire as the plastic on the mask bubbles and pops, the fake beard having already turned to ash. After a few moments our mustache clad promo giver walks away into the night as the camera zooms in on the flaming mask before fading to black. |
