Emily: I bet you feel pretty god damn cocky right now, don’t you?

All this yelling, the noise! Make it stop! But to those in the hall it’s just a quick reason to take a pause outside the door as they listen in. Some of them are on Emily’s side as they silently goad her to continue while others aren’t so certain the redhead is doing what’s best right now. Of course none of them have any real impact on what’s going on, as far as it concerns the ones inside the room the world ends outside that door. Then again that’s how it’s always been for Emily and perhaps Blink who stands just a few feet in front of her. Cyndi, who remains in the back of the room, could probably care less where the world ends so long as it’s not between her and…Emily? Blink seems more like it, what with the way she keeps looking at her and all.

Emily: Don’t even begin to think that it was all your doing that defeated Lara.

Blink: I know.

Emily: If I hadn’t come in when I did I’d be yelling at you for an entirely different reason.

Blink: I know.

Emily: And the whole business of you pinning Lara, I never permitted such a thing.

Blink: I know.

Emily: How exactly is you pinning her going to affect anything? She can still walk around waving the cardboard belt all over the place.

Blink: I know.

Emily: So what, I ask you, what was going through that pink-headed mind of yours when you decided that mutiny would be the best course of action?

Blink: Lady Emily, I think I might be gay.

Emily: What?!

Cyndi: Hm?

From her seat in the back of the room, Cyndi leans over so she can get a better look at Blink who stands there somewhat fidgeting with her own fingers as if anxiously awaiting Emily’s more thought out response.

My Blinky…prefers…women? Oh, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the day where my Blinky would finally catch wind of my flirts and now she’s ready and willing to repay me in kind. Oh, Blinky, how many nights have I spent wishing my own pillow were your soft, voluptuous body? Well, you’re not exactly voluptuous, but I won’t let something like that be the end of something that will be both beautiful and…right.

Cyndi: That’s…nice.

Emily: Stuff it, blondie. And you, Blink, are you some sort of twit or something?

Blink: Huh?

With a turn, Emily takes a few steps forward while bringing up both arms over her chest before stopping a little in front of the wall.

Emily: It’s Catherine you’re in love with, isn’t it?

Startled just by hearing that, Cyndi turns to look over at Blink who seems rather uncomfortable all of a sudden as her feet shuffle a little in place and one hand slides over her arm.

Blink: Yes.

Emily: Then you are a twit.

Blink: What?

Emily: When you were together you felt a connection, right?

Blink: Well…yes.

Emily: And it’s the first time you’ve ever had a friend?

For a moment, Blink has to think but still keeps her eyes locked on the redhead standing now a few feet further away from her than before.

Blink: Yes.

Emily: Then that settles it.

Blink: What do you mean?

Emily lets out a long sigh before explaining things.

Emily: You lost Catherine and you grieved, god how you grieved. Every day you found something to cry about. And finally, just as you were making progress…you slipped right back into depression.

Emily turns around rather swiftly catching the gaze of her student with her own.

Emily: Then you found her and despair turned to relief, sadness to happiness all in the same second. You found yourself far too overjoyed to be with her and therefore did what you did and pronounced what you said.

Blink: So…I don’t love Catherine?

Emily: Maybe you do.

Blink: What? But Lady Emily…everything you just said…it makes sense, right?

Emily: Only to you now does it make sense just as what you said made sense then.

Blink: So…what should I do?

Emily: I’m offended you would even ask me something so stupid.

Blink: But…

Emily: This is one aspect in your life I won’t tell you what to do. You have to decide for yourself just how you feel about Catherine, understood?

Without even waiting for a response, Emily turns away from Blink giving her student the message that now it’s time for her to leave. And leave she does with the surprise still running through her on the fact that now it’s her decision making time.

Follow Pet's Twitter if you don't mind...you know, Pet being Pet. Also, she tends to mention it a fair bit. (NSFW)
