Another Sunday night, another ReVolt, both are almost over. So it makes sense that the Seigi Sentai are walking along the backstage corridors, their match long over with. Both men have done what they need to and they nearly look like they are ready to head to the next location on FIW's schedule. Except there's something about the way Skull looks, the way he is striding along the hall that makes one think otherwise.

SKR: Pretty exciting, huh?

Kamen's the first out of the two to chime in, not surprisingly to anyone that's watched the two men. His voice sounds like it is trying its hardest to be its usual cheerful self, the one so many have come to love & hate, depending on the person. Yet there's something...off about it tonight, something that's not quite its usual bouncy self. If one didn't know any better, one would think Kamen is forcing his voice to sound this way and he's feeling differently today.

PS: ...I guess...

How one who reluctantly agrees with his partner, Skull doesn't sound too excited about the topic. Oh, what is the topic they're discussing? It's the card for next week's ReVolt that both men have seen, revealing to them that Kamen's got the week off for a change. Next week it's Skull, by himself, against somebody they've had limited interaction with during their brief careers in FIW. In fact, pretty much their only interactions with the woman have been saving her from a beat down at the hands of the Sunshine Crew.

PS: It doesn't matter right now though, it is a matter for the near future, there is a more pressing matter for the immediate.

As dry of delivery of what he has to say as ever, he's so dry that one could mistake his words for a desert. It isn't that he thinks so lightly of Anna that he's dismissing her from his thoughts, far from it actually. He wants to get their business here out of the way so that he can begin his preparations to do battle with her. In his own somewhat crazy way, he's trying to show her respect by making sure there is nothing distracting him from her.

PS: Remember what we talked about, we've secured one, and one slipped away from you. With any luck, we'll continue to be successful and she's an isolated incident. Go to it.

The marching orders are given, vague as they are to those watching, Kamen understands every word of them. So much so that there is a slight cringe when his partner makes mention of the one that slipped away from him. He still can't wrap his head around that, what went wrong, what happened, why she would choose that. Why would she keep her reasoning from him...

SKR: Yeah...

Skull broods on top of a roof of a building, he's been waiting for nearly an hour now. What is that boy doing? Maybe he doesn't want to know since she's with him, for all he knows they are doing things that would make his stomach turn. When he's around her...hmph, it's disgusting how they behave. They're like two children that don't know what they are going, rather than two grown adults that are mixing pleasure with business.

He hears a groan behind him and his glowing eyes shift, so he's able to look out of the corner of his eyes at the fire escape. There's a gloved hand that pops into view and it grabs the ledge, hoisting the rest of the body that it's attached to up & over. Not heartless, he does a brief scan over his partner's body and he realizes that his body is still in relative good health. There's no need to aid him, now if something was broken or he was missing a limb...

SKR: Why...

The Inter-Galactic Hero barely gasps out the word, making various pained noises while trying to get his body to cooperate with him. It doesn't want to move any more than he's made it tonight but he forces it to obey, he forces it to try to stand. He's on shaky legs when he moves towards his partner; his demeanor isn't one so much of pain as it is anger. Why is he so angry at his fellow tag team champion?

SKR: Why did you call for 4-7-9?!

There's something we're missing here, there must be. Kamen sounds far too angry with Skull over that call than if everything's merely what it appears to be on the surface. He tries to come around to face his partner masked face to masked face but his body is starting to rebel again. So he opts to stay kiddy corner to him, waiting for the answers he's demanded of the man he calls his mentor.

PS: You know why.

So much for answers, for both Kamen and us, Skull's answer is as vague as this entire conversation from our point of view. He doesn't show any other sign that he's acknowledging his younger partner's presence on this roof top. His arms are folded over his chest and his face is in the constant scowl it usually is displaying. Those glowing eyes are staring off into Istanbul, watching the night life, possibly for any signs of anything he can help with.

SKR: ..You...Do you really believe that...of her?!

His mind is racing; he can't believe that it is the only reason why Skull would invoke this. Surely, Kamen thought, he had some deeper purpose for making them do this tonight when they're trying to show her the ropes. Now he finds maybe it was Skull's idea all along to never show her the ropes, never show her how they operate. Does he really trust her that little?

PS: If you really feel that strongly about it, why go with it? I suppose one could argue it was out of your loyalty to me and what I've taught you that you did go through with it. But we both know you've done things I haven't cared for before. So it can't be pure loyalty that motivated you to comply...which to me...tells me one very important thing.

Still he doesn't acknowledge SKR standing a few feet away from him; he looks like he is talking to nothing. As if Kamen isn't really there and it's all imaginary, all made up inside of Skull's head. There's a certain edge that enters his tone near the end before he trails off, a sort of sly nature that's rarely seen from him. It's the very same edge that makes Kamen uncomfortable, thinking he knows where Skull is going with this.

PS: ...Deep down, somewhere inside of you...there's a part of you that believes it too. You believe I'm right about her.

It's now that Skull turns his attention to the other masked man, staring a hole into him as he's talking to him. His voices are precise and booming, making sure that Kamen hears every word that is in need of being said between the two of them. From his point of view, this is how it is; he always knew the kid had good instincts for reading people and having a sense about this stuff. It's just that big dopey heart of his that gets in the way and muddles things up for him from time to time.

PS: Just be glad she doesn't have anything of worth she can report back.

Once that sentence is finished Skull is returning to ignoring Kamen's presence, walking over towards the ledge of the roof top. He doesn't notice the guilt that is starting to seep into Kamen's body language, guilt and worry that Skull is right about what he's saying. If he is, he might've given her something far more valuable to return to Emily Stratfield with than anything in regards to their practices. Something of a worry he's already had to deal with...

Blink's seen his face.

SKR: ...I remember...

By the time he says it, Skull's already gone; heading in the direction his objective is in. Kamen glances down that way momentarily and he sighs, he doesn't know what he thinks about anything right now. The only thing he can do is do what needs to be done, and that's what they've put in front of themselves for this evening. Each of them have an objective to do, and with any luck, they'll reunite successful in both of their ventures...

OOC: I saw backstage corridor...so I'm going with that location >.>

IC: Sulking with all of the doom and gloom that a man of his caliber knows, the one and only Fighting Spirit Champion, Roy "Don't call me Harlowe" Maverick. With his gold placed high on his shoulder and a white suit to symbolize his supposed rebirth and purity a certain misery still lingers over the man who supposedly fixed everything at home.

Roy: "What is it with all of these IDIOTS I see walking everywhere."

I think he's talking about the topic creator's characters!

Roy: "I'm the one and only FIGHTING SPIRIT CHAMPION! I make my comeback and not one hello! Not one gesture of good faith! NOTHING! I'm the bloody best in the world when it comes to showing the invincible spirit of mankind! I'm supposed to be glorified, worshiped and revered as the second coming of CHRIST God DAMMIT!"

He says through snarling breaths, barking loud enough for all to hear him. He turns his hand on a stage hand and mocks a strike.

Roy: "GET OUT OF MY FACE! You don't deserve to breathe the same AIR as me! BRING ME A DRYING CLOTH!"

He says with a bite of sarcasm, his eyes dart around. Seems somebody wasn't invited onto the book tour for some reason.
