Skewed across the table are dozens of copies of the latest book to scorch up the ranks of the New York Time's Best Sellers list. Douglas Greater's "I can make a Roy out of you too" has found it's way into the heart's of millions and has made a genuine bonifide fitness guru out of the man who used to call NGIW his home, Douglas Greater. With the eye of Errol Flynn and the Rod of BROTHER's Keeper, the man penned himself a best selling novel much in the same vein as Mick Foley and Chris Jericho before him. With a cheshire grin carved across his face, the ever plucky and jubilant Douglas Greater eagerly awaits the buyers of his new book to line up and get their book signed by their new favorite author. Douglas: "And who shall I make this out to?" Fan #1: "Tyler Billy, please Mr. Greater sir, man, sir." Douglas: "Doug's fine." Fan#1: "OH DEAR GARFUNKEL!" Douglas: "Good man." He scribbles his name down onto the book and casually waves the fan away with a warm and humble smile. |

(Douglas doesn’t pay much attention to the next person in line as a book flops down in front of him. Douglas goes through his usual spiel of asking who to make it out to when the “customer” speaks.) Mad Dawg: Make it out to “The man with an offer you shouldn’t refuse…” (Douglas looks up to see Mad Dawg standing in front of him with a huge grin on his face.) Mad Dawg: I know what you’re thinking Greater, “what the hell does this nutcase want with me?” Let’s just say I was a bit letdown by how things worked out for you at Blessed and Forsaken. I’m not one to say I told you so, but to be quite honest…I told you so. I said a while ago that your abilities weren’t being used to their full potential. I said that you have the ability to inspire more than just Roy Maverick, that you could be the voice to drive millions. I don’t blame you for not listening to me then, after all most people attribute my words to the nonsensical ramblings of a madman. But like many others you’ve had the unfortunate circumstance of my words ringing true. (A man behind Mad Dawg taps him on the shoulder.) Man: Excuse me, I have to pick up my wife in the next hour. You know if you could hurry up so I can get out of here? (Mad Dawg lets out an annoyed sigh and turns back to the man.) Mad Dawg: I would say something right now to let you know exactly how pathetic you are. But seeing as you are a pussy-whipped punk in need of a self-help guru, I think you already know. So instead I’m going to give you a very violent mental picture. If you touch me with your little sausage fingers again I am going to cut you from your throat to your belly button and make you suck on your own entrails….. Man: T-take all the time you need, buddy….. (Mad Dawg turns his attention back to Douglas.) Mad Dawg: So here we are now Douglas, Roy Maverick has his newfound alliance with Neo Carner and has dropped you on the curb. You did everything for him, you made him a Fighting Spirit Champion, you made Roy relevant. If it wasn’t for you Roy would still be some loser still living in the shadow of his father. And now you have nothing to show for it but a book deal and a folding table to sign them on in twenty-two Wal-Mart‘s across the greater U.S.. You deserve more Douglas, I saw great potential in you before and it kills me to see it wasting away here. I want to see all that great inspiration to be put to good use as the voice of the Black Label Society. My Society has opened many eyes of the oppressed already and I know the inclusion of The Greater System would increase their faith exponentially. And it would give you an opportunity to be at the forefront of changing the world… (Mad Dawg smiles slyly at the guru curious to how he reacts to the offer.) |

The words rang out like crystal clear bells, words from a similar reality. A man who saw the world for what it was, and saw it's brilliance through a looking glass. Douglas couldn't help but smile as he began to scribble down "Mad Dawg" onto the cover of the book. Douglas: "Y'know...I did think about what you said. You're a smart guy, a little on the negative nancy side through." He lets a chuckle escape his lips. Douglas: "But your message chimes clear in my ear friend. You seem like a man who could use a sponsor right now." He dots a period at the end of the signature and pushes the book across the table back to Dawg. Douglas: "What'ya say?" |

OOC: The thrilling conclusion you've all been waiting all week for....okay maybe not but wanted to wrap this up (Mad Dawg picks up the book and checks out the signature. He grins at Greater for a moment.) Mad Dawg: A sponsorship for the Black Label Society does sound interesting. I'll have E.Z. get in touch with you over the matter of details. I'll see you around, Douglas... (Mad Dawg turns with a smile and bumps into "Mr. Whipped" on his way out. The man quickly apologizes to which Mad Dawg chuckles and shakes his head as he walks out.) |
