The location is somewhere deep within Olympia Stadium, the backstage area of the arena to be certain. It's hard to tell if it is a corridor or if it's the gorilla position or if it's somewhere else in the winding maze known as the staff area. There is a wooden table set up to the side and it is covered with various things, each of them look as equally important as the next. There are a few technical equipment boxes, large, heavy, steel boxes that are on wheels, placed next to the table. The subject is one half of the Seigi Sentai, who just this past August debuted for Full Intensity Wrestling. He is one half of the FIW World Tag Team Champions and he's got two new FIW trophies placed behind him on the table. If one were to look at them, they'd know that they are for putting on the best promo last month & for being September's tag team of the month. These are materialistic things he'd usually give to Kamen to dance over but he just got them from a staff member. So they are here, with him, for the time being. The time? The time is an hour or so removed before ReVolt is set to start... PS: For the better part of this past week I have spent training, preparing my body and my mind for this contest. I have also spent time reflecting upon the woman that I am forced to call my opponent this week. Unlike so many she's been forced to deal with lately, I have no issues with her gender or with facing someone of her gender. She is a warrior, and more importantly a challenge, just like any man is for me. His glowing eyes are the brightest source of light wherever he is, casting its light on the nearby area around him. It creates an orangeish red hue on many things, making an atmosphere that's bizarre to say the very least. The scene is a stark contrast to his voice, a voice that is so dry and lifeless when it speaks any words to the camera. If someone is brave enough to, they might want to check to see if this man's got a pulse still. PS: It's also why I think nothing of her mental state that so many others are prone to pointing out about her. Does it make her dangerous? Yes, it does add a certain level of unpredictability on the surface but I can assure you, no one is completely unpredictable. Even someone as unwell as Anna has patterns, habits, likes and dislikes, and these all lend themselves to creating an understanding of her. It is what can lead to creating a cohesive strategy to counteract this advantage and to defeat her in combat. The scowl on his face is a dead giveaway he doesn't want to be here right now, talking to this camera. He really doesn't, he hates having to do this and it's made worse this week by way of him having to do it alone. His attempts to get Kamen to come along were ill fated, Kamen thinking he needs to do it so that he can show everybody there are no sidekicks in Seigi Sentai. It's such a frustrating experience, having to state what seems like the obvious to him to everyone like they're children. PS: It's basic math. Despite what Skull says, there isn't anything basic about the mathematical problems he devises & solves for his strategies. Everything, literally everything, is turned into numbers and equations by this masked man to piece together. On the rare occasion he finds a piece of data he cannot process himself, he uses the Seigi Sentai's super computers to help him. There isn't much point in him using them though, seeing as he's the one who built them and gifted them with his intelligence. PS: To avoid confusion and misleading information, I will inform you now that this isn't my first singles match, Anna. It is within the confines of Full Intensity Wrestling's sanctioned wrestling rings, this is the truth. However I have fought elsewhere before, unlike my partner and fellow champion. It was there that I fought my first singles match and so...any advantage you were hoping to achieve through my supposed lack of experience in singles competition is eliminated. The scowl, for some reason, grows deeper and more defined when he is bringing up he's been in another wrestling promotion before FIW. Too bad Toby or Jeff or one of the other interviewers aren't here, this is a big scoop! Course, chances are if any of them tried to pry about this subject Skull would never bring it up again out of annoyance at being prodded. He is a man that enjoys his privacy. There's a reason why he wears a mask, after all. PS: I want your very best, I'm curious to see what you can do for numerous reasons. The least of which is that I have studied extensively your matches and I am aware of the reputation you have in FIW. But also...because, as I'm sure you know by now, I am co-captain of one of the Cibernetico teams. I, unlike my partner, have no qualms about inviting those that are, possibly, of questionable nature if they are skilled enough. I realize that the lines of good and evil are blurred when one is strategizing for victory in a war. There is the faintest curling upward of the corner of his lips when he says he wants Anna's very best this week. The thought of her presenting a challenge to him excites him; it makes him crave the battle that's in front of him all the more. Too bad there isn't any sign of this excitement in his voice when he presses on with what he has to say. The closest thing to emotion is when he dramatically grabs his trench coat from beside him and swings it around, throwing it onto himself. PS: If you were able to put forth a hard fought fight, it might interest me enough to make an attempt at recruiting you. If you were able to defeat me after I've remained undefeated in FIW for the months I've been here...it would definitely interest me enough. But do not think lightly of me or confuse that as my way of letting you know that I am going to go easy on you. No, I would never do such a disservice to either of us...I intend to stay undefeated for as long as I can... It's there again! The traces of a smirk are appearing on Skull's lips when he is discussing what could motivate him to want Anna on their team. It's more than traces of one when he mentions the possibility of her defeating him in the match. It is the thought of meeting someone in FIW that's able to better him...that's a challenge worth fighting for, in his eyes. That's something he strives to meet, to cross paths with, so that he can grow better. PS: ...Till the day I meet someone who can beat me... His glowing eyes glance downward, staring at his right gloved hand with an incredible amount of intensity. The hand balls and it changes into a fist, clenching as tightly as it can and it is trembling ever so slightly from the pressure it's under. If one didn't know any better, one would think he is trying to hurt himself by squeezing so hard with his fist. The thought, it motivates him, it drives him, to give everything he's got, even in a match like this one against Anna. One that is of so low profile compared to some of the others he's had in the past. PS: There are no more words to be said. There is no more time. The only thing that's remaining now is the fight. The Phantom Skull shakes his head and he proclaims how he feels about the matter of their match. His voice is booming, it is echoing through the location he's in, wherever it may be in the backstage area. It's at the end of his little spiel that he throws up his right fist in the air, not quite a pose so much as a non-verbal promise. It stretches towards the heavens; the fist that's possibly going to be the one to bring him victory is the last sight of the scene... |
