With ReVolt in the books, it’s time for Nikita to make her ‘grand’ return to the land of FIW... after a one week absence. Let’s gloss over that. Her plane has landed in Naples and she walks down the steps to the tarmac, followed by her trainer, The Dark Angel. He’s wearing an all black number - suit, shirt, tie and sunglasses, whereas Nikki is in jeans and a fashionable top. As Nikita reaches the bottom of the steps she is approached by a member of the staff.

Attendant: “Excuse me, Miss. Luck? This was left for you.”

He hands her a folded piece of paper. She steps to one side to avoid a queue forming behind her and opens it, albeit with some reservations. It reads:

[align=center]Meet me outside the Bad Girls dressing room or else[/align]
What’s more interesting is that the lettering is entirely made up from newspaper or magazine clippings, much like the original note suggesting Raven was a target.

Dark Angel: “What might that be?”

Nikita: “Nothing.”

Dark Angel: “Hand it over.”

With more than a little reluctance she hands the note back over her shoulder. He studies it and his brow furrows above his dark sunglasses. He folds it back to how it was originally and passes it back to his student.

Dark Angel: “What say you?”

Nikita: “It’s either the person who attacked Raven or somebody playing a very risky game wanting me to think that. Either way I want to find out who they are and if I have to, I’ll make them pay.”

He only offers a single stern nod of the head. He walks beyond Nikita into the terminal and she hangs back to spend a moment glancing at the note in her hand before she follows.

The writer of the note waits nervously outside of the Bad Girls dressing room padding her index fingers in front of her. It's a big moment, a moment of truth and reality for this woman so even while she's nervous she's also reading on the happy side. Though she's still more nervous than anything. She goes to check a watch, because she's seen people do this so many times before, but there is none because Emily says that having a watch makes you a slave to numbers and time. So obviously checking is an empty gesture. Not to mention a wasted one regardless because down the hallway she notices the person she's waiting for walking toward her. Seeing her so close up allows a smile to cross her lips as she turns on her heels and performs a bow.

Blink: [size0]Good afternoon, Miss. Nikita.

Doesn't look like she was listening the last time they were talking. Or it's just a rule that's been beaten into Blink so thoroughly that perhaps not even Emily herself could rip it from her student. But despite the possibilities of upsetting the blond, not that she ever has been, Blink straightens up with a pleasant smile and posture reminiscent of a maid. Too bad this isn't Tuesday.

Blink: [size0]How are you feeling? I hope you were given my note.

Her left hand, that rests now over the right in front of her, twitches a little toward the door as though wanting to open it right up and get on with things but the pleasantries of speaking must come first to help set the proper mood. Afterall, this is a moment Blink has been waiting for for quite some time and she wants it to be perfect. That and she likes the girl talk.

Follow Pet's Twitter if you don't mind...you know, Pet being Pet. Also, she tends to mention it a fair bit. (NSFW)

Girl talk?

Perhaps not.

Nikita is not casually walking or looking as if she’s taking a nice moonlit stroll, she’s striding with a purpose. In her hand is the very note that obviously Blink wrote, by now it’s scrunched and a little torn from the way she’s been gripping it. She approaches the care-free Bad Girl and Nikita doesn’t look impressed.

Nikita: “This was you?”

Don’t fret, dear reader. Nikki doesn’t really think that Blink was responsible for her only sister not only being currently in a hospital recovering from a concussion but leaving a huge gash above her left eyebrow where she was cut wide open.

Nikita: “Did you write the note warning Rave too? Or do you know who did? Because it looked a lot like this one.”

Of course when I say that Nikita wasn’t responsible, I don’t mean that she doesn’t have certain suspicions about Blink. It might be beyond Blink to callously jump somebody in a cold parking lot but as long as she takes orders (and follows them) from somebody with the moral character of Emily Stratfield, it’s always a possibility that she knows more than she’s letting on.

Nikita: “And what does this ‘or else’ part mean, huh?”

This is a rather different Nikita to the one Blinkatron knows and dare I say, loves. The pressures of hitting the wall in Anna combined with the stresses of her own sister being assaulted have turned Nikita into something of a paranoid Hellcat. Trust issues are boiling to the surface and it seems nobody is safe, not even her best friend.

Blink: [size0]”Or else”?

Blink's questioning of that permits the notion that perhaps there's a sun-shiney reason for why she would write the note that way. Hopefully that reason extends to why she used clippings from newspapers and magazines.

Blink: [size0]Oh! Oh no. Oh no, no. I'm very sorry, Miss. Nikita.

She bows, but do I need to explain that?

Blink: [size0]I was in a hurry when I wrote it.

A hurry? Blink? If that's the case then she really does do too much training. Or it could have something to do with what's behind that door she keeps wanting to open. Not yet, Blink.

Blink: [size0]It was supposed to read “or else you won't get a surprise.”

That...I suppose is a bit of a sun-shiney explanation. But why the clippings?

Blink: [size0]I hope you don't mind that I wrote the note that way...I didn't want you knowing who sent it.

Even though is asks Nikita to meet the writer of said note outside of the Bad Girls dressing room. Because yes, that's the focal point in every arena FIW visits.

Blink: [size0]Because, well...

Okay, screw it, Blink can't wait any longer. She opens up the door stepping inside leaving it open for Nikita to view inside. Flowers. Hundreds and hundreds of flowers. Flowers of different varieties line the floor, hang across the wall. It's so bright, vibrant, colourful...it's just...beautiful. In the middle of the dressing room is a table with a larger replica of the very first bouquet Blink gave Nikita, the one given during their introductions. Surprised she remembers the ratio. Along the wall are a set of pink flowers spelling out the name “Nikita” as though handwritten by Mother Nature herself. That's the part in all this that Blink takes immediate steps toward.

Blink: [size0]It was supposed to spell your full name with a portrait of you in flowers, but I was selfish and bought a plane ticket instead. I'm really sorry.

By now it should be apparent on just where all of Blink's money has gone. She really did go all out but that's not the end of things as Blink comes back to Nikita grabbing hold of another bouquet keeping it close to her chest before arriving at her destination where she presents the flowers.

Blink: [size0]Your weekly order of flowers, on schedule.

A little smile before a thought crosses Blink's mind.

Blink: [size0]O-Or you can create your own. I don't have every flower out there, so if there's one you want but can't find I-I'll order it for you. It may take some time as I don't get paid again until the end of the week. I'm sorry.

Still, perhaps this bouquet she's holding will do.

Blink: [size0]I...I hope this is adequate for you...Nikita.

Wait...what? Sheepish smile.

Nikki slowly steps towards Blink and into the flower room. It really is a sight to behold, the note slips from her hand and floats away as her eyes grow very wide. She looks at all the flowers, the beautiful colours, the way her name is spelled out, the bouquet just like the one Blink presented to Nikita on her first day. Slowly she opens her mouth to talk to her friend.

Nikita: “Adequate? ‘Adequate’ isn’t a word I’d use...”

She sighs and pulls her hands up from by her side, oh please no, she’s not going to punch Blink is she? Not strike down her bestie? Give her a thick lip? A bunch of fives? British metaphors aside, please.

Nikita: “Blink, I’m sorry to have to do this to you...”

Nikki has had her head lowered slightly ever since she began to talk, her blond hair falling down to cover most of her face.

Nikita: “...”

No words come out as Nikita places her hand on her mouth and she begins to sob. Real tears start to stream down her face as her watery eyes dart about the walls. She spins around and grabs hold of Blink, hugging her tightly. She hugs her Blinky so tightly that Blink is gasping for air and the lovely bouquet she was holding is certainly crushed. Nikita refuses to let go and if anything she tightens her grip on her best friend’s little body. She pulls back just a little bit so her mouth is next to Blink’s ear.

Nikita: “It’s all so beautiful. I love it and I love you, Blinky.”

Nikki looks so relieved to have something nice and happy happen to her after all her recent troubles. For just a few moments, she sinks in the delight and ignores the flowers poking into her chest for behind those flowers is her biggest delight of all.

Her one arm being trapped, the one primarily holding the flowers, Blink is forced to hug back with her other arm. That is after she's able to catch her breath. She hates it because on the outside it looks like such an awkward hug. People passing by might not fully get the meaning behind it and think of Blink's friendship toward Nikita to be, well, fake. But still she maintains the single arm hug not daring to try and squeeze her other arm out. Not because she wouldn't be able to get the flowers out at the same time, or because she can just barely feel the curvature of Nikita's breast, but because it's how the blond hugs her in the first place.

Once the hug is over, Blink looks down at the crushed flowers almost ready to cry herself because you know who she's blaming for that, don't you? But no, she can't cry, this is far too special a moment for these two and Blink has plans. Typically her plans always tend to backfire horribly, but this one is keeping right on track. Though she didn't account on Nikita crying, she was just aiming for a smile and a pat to the head followed by a “good job”. Yep, Blink strives for the highest form of recognition. So to see her friend cry...well that almost has Blink forget the reason she's doing this. When she suddenly realizes the reason behind the note now resting on the floor, Blink places the bouquet from her hand onto the table in front of the centre piece to all of this. Side question; did Blink take courses on flower arranging? Most likely yes.

Blink: [size0]There was another reason I invited you here...Nikita.

No “Miss”? Is Nikita no longer that? Has she been demoted in Blink's long ranking structure? And why does she hesitate and almost blush each time she says it? Maybe she's going to propose... Was Anna right? Is this what this is all about?

Blink: [size0]You've been so kind to me, always. Even during the moments when you didn't have to be.

Didn't have to be? Oh, right, Blink's still taking everything Raven said to her to heart. About wasting Nikita's time and everything else. And now Blink's crying. It's not as much as Nikita was before, but it's certainly noticeable like you don't have to see it to know she's doing it.

Blink: [size0]To everyone you're so nice, a friend to those you never even meet.

Obviously Blink doesn't really know too much about Nikita's sense of distrust in so many people now. Either that or Blink is just focusing beyond that, trying to see Nikita for how she's seen her for so long up to this point.

Blink: [size0]That's something I wish to protect. With every ounce in me, to the death.

A bit drastic, don't you thiink? But here comes the moment Blink's been looking forward to since first popping the question to Kamen Ranger some weeks ago. She drops herself down softly to her knees, lowers her head, and holds her arms out with palms facing upward showcasing no evil or intent of lying with her words.

Blink: I am under your command. Think of me as your tool, to be used as you see fit. I am your weapon, to be used to strike down those who would cause you harm in any way. I am under your command...

Blink lifts up her head staring more so toward Nikita's forehead refusing right now to match her eyes.

Blink: Lady Luck.

Lady Luck? Well that is sort of her name. Blink smiles since the last time they were talking Nikita did request she not call her by her full name or even use “Miss”. Though after a bit Blink blushes and quickly eyes away stammering.

Blink: O-or Lady Nikita or [size0]whatever you wish.

Her gaze is to the ground right now after that little humorous display of nervousness. She sighs and looks back up at Nikita. Hopefully for her this is the only backfire in her plans.

Nikita also drops to her knees and places her hands around Blink’s head so that they are indeed looking eye-to-eye. She wipes away some remaining tears and smiles. Oh, how she’s missed smiling.

Nikita: “Whatever you wish, Blinky.”

She kisses Blink on the cheek.

Nikita: “Be quiet for a minute. I won’t use you when I see fit, I won’t think of you as my tool and I won’t portray you as some kind of weapon. You’re my friend and this means a lot to you so I accept.”

She hugs Blink again, only this not as tightly so poor Blink’s lungs aren’t compacted. Nikki looks around at the flowers again and chuckles, Blink really must have put the hours in that flower arranging course.

Nikita: “You’re a wonderful girl Blink, don’t let anybody ever tell you otherwise.”

This is a really touching and in many ways beautiful moment... and it’s ruined. The two kneeling girls are interrupted by heavy footsteps and the owner of those footsteps, The Dark Angel, saunters into view. He lowers his view to the Hellcats and extends a crooked finger.

Dark Angel: “Playtime’s over. Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm.”

The crooked finger beckons Nikita to her feet and she knows that the time for hanging out with Blink is over for now.

Nikita: “I have to go now but this was all fantastic.”

Sensing that Blink will feel let down by a sudden departure, Nikki rubs Blink’s shoulder.

Nikita: “I really want to beat Anna this week, I really need to. I can’t lose again to her. He’s my best bet at winning and you’ve got a big match for the Fighting Spirit Championship. When it’s over, when I’ve gone through Anna and you’ve won the belt we’ll go out for dinner... maybe I’ll lay on some flowers for you.”

She playfully ruffles Blink’s pink hair and makes sure to pick up one bunch of the flowers for herself. You know that reaction of a woman when shown flowers, she desperately wants to cut them and put them all in a vase. Nikita looks so pleased with her flowers and she thanks Blink once more before following a departed Dark Angel.

Blink is speechless, in absolute shock, ready to fall over even though she's still down on her knees. She hasn't stopped watching the door Nikita left through since, well, Nikita left. For the first time ever everything seems to have gone as well as she had hoped. But that isn't what she's thinking about right now. What she's thinking about is what happened before Nikita left.

Blink: [size0]Lady Nikita...with her bare hand...

She's about to cry over the beautiful sentiment but a woman enters into the room looking down at Blink. Not just physically down but metaphorically as well because the woman who enters is everyones favourite teacher Emily Stratfield. She eyes down at Blink for a moment longer before storming into the room stepping on the flowers along her way toward the student gripping hold of her hair. The sudden jerk brings Blink out of bliss and into a world of pain as she's brought to her feet and thrown from the room not stopping until the wall does its job as a break. Emily comes out slamming the door shut behind her.

Emily: Why were you the first one to fall?

Blink: I'm sorry, Lady Emily.

Emily: Why did you allow that man something to celebrate over?

Blink: I'm sorry!

There's a sudden shriek that follows this as Emily rips her away from the wall by the hair prior to pushing her forward down the hall.

Emily: What were you doing in there?

Blink: I was requesting that Lady Nikita be my fifth lady.

Emily: You really are a whore, aren't you?

Blink doesn't respond because she knows any response will just end in pain. Though I guess she should have anyway because Emily swiftly stamps her foot down hard against the Bad Girl's calf causing her to topple forward with a silent scream.

Emily: You wanted your handicap? You just had to ask me for it. How many times have I told you that friendship will ruin your career?

The redhead fails to get an answer so she steps forward and presses a foot down against Blink's cheek.

Emily: Answer me, Blink. Tell me what friendship means to you.

Blink: Nothing.

Emily scrapes her foot across Blink's cheek for an inch.

Emily: What?

Blink: Nothing. Friendship...means nothing.

Blink can't mean that, can she? There's traces of wetness around the eyes but that could just be contributed to the pain she's had to endure these last few minutes of her life. Emily smiles removing her foot off of Blink's face allowing the student to pick herself up from the floor.

Emily: You have a very important match this week. There's been a lot of ill will ever since the Fighting Spirit changed hands, not that you would garner a better reaction after taking the title, but before your career ends it would be nice to see my efforts produce at least one proper title from you. That is why I'm upset with you, Blink.

Blink, who stands there with hands at her front of head lowered, gazes upward toward Emily who indeed does look a little upset and it's all her fault.

Emily: While your three opponents are taking this match seriously, or at the very least serious enough, you are here arranging flowers and making useless pact deals.

Blink does get a small shiver over the use of the word “useless”, so perhaps what she said before about friendship being nothing to her earlier wasn't true. Or again it could have just been a pain induced shiver.

Emily: But that cannot be helped...what can be helped is how you will be spending the rest of the week. I expect to see you training, Blink. Every second of every minute. Every minute of all hours for every day until it is time for your match. Is that understood?

Blink: N-non stop training?

Why build the suspense? You know what's coming next.

Blink: Thank you, Lady Emily! Thank you! I promise I won't let you--

Blast with the backhand knocking Blink against the wall.

Emily: Do not make promises to me. Your track record with keeping them is rather miserable.

Blink turns from the wall as a thin line of blood lines her cheek left there due to Emily's ring scraping off some skin. The redhead sighs ripping off her ring passing it over to Emily.

Emily: You'll start by running to the jeweller to get that clean.

She doesn't even wait to see the bow or hear the “Yes, Lady Emily.” Though none of that would've mattered as much as where Blink goes with the ring; her dressing room. Blink's out of money, remember? So she's gonna have to do this job herself.

So while we know what we can expect the rest of the week from Blink, what about a certain secret? Was it spilled? Neither of these two really made any inclination either way. So if Emily knows then she's stopped caring, or at least has already figured out a way in using it against him. If Blink didn't tell then chances are she's keeping the guilt of not telling Emily bottled down along with every other tinge of guilt she has. But eventually that bottles going to overflow and something's bound to come out.
