The Phantom Skull is stomping through the backstage area of the Olympia Stadium, meaning he's still in Sweden. In his defense, the filming of this promotional material is shortly after the closing of the last ReVolt. So it isn't like he's several days behind everyone else and only now getting his stuff together to head to Italy. Technically speaking, by the time this airs he'll already be in Italy. He's in a foul mood; it is a definitive step down from his usual grumpy demeanor that he's become known for. Why is he in such a bad mood? That's an easy one, because Anna disrespected him and thought so little of him as to walk away from their match. After being curious about her skills, she showed how little of a warrior she truly is by disgracing everyone involved in that match by quitting. The fact that he's now got a victory under his name due to that debacle is disgusting to him. The other reason? It's because when he found out about his match at the next ReVolt, he had gone to try to find his partner to tell him. This is why he's so late in leaving the arena compared to most of the wrestlers; he spent a couple hours trying to track him down. For someone that's as skilled as that as Skull is, it shouldn't have taken longer than a half an hour, let alone several hours. This led him to the only conclusion that made any logical sense, Kamen's already left. But to where? It isn't Italy; Skull's got their tickets for that. So now rather than heading straight to Italy and beginning their training for their match, he's got to track down the Inter-Galactic Hero. Why it is such bad timing that Daniel Brooks is making his way towards the masked man, smiling at him. It would take someone like Daniel, or Kamen, for them to not realize that this is a bad time to poke this sleeping bear with a stick. He tries to block Skull's way, only for Skull to side step him and this forces the interviewer to keep walking with him. The effort this is taking looks like Daniel isn't cool with though he's going to take one for the team. DB: Dude, good job out there tonight. Skull isn't sure if this moron is being serious, he is sure that the idea of taking his head off with a lariat is growing increasingly tempting. The reason why it's so hard to tell if Daniel is being sarcastic about it is the way he says it. It's the same chilled, yet sincere, tone he's known for using when he's interviewing people. So the options are pretty much this guy's either secretly a massive dick or he's more flighty than Skull's partner. DB: Heavy match next week though. You got a title match, belts are on the line. Thank you, Captain Obvious! That's probably what Skull would be saying right now if he was invested in this interview and he was a bigger dick. He's well aware of how important and how big his match is for this coming Italy edition of ReVolt. It's not only a championship match but it is the first championship match the Seigi Sentai is riding into as champions. It's their first defense, something that's crucial to retain successfully on or fear the humiliation that comes with such a loss. Nevermind that Valiente and Hayes aren't two people to scoff at. DB: Sorta like a rematch, seeing as how you guys beat Valiente and Blink for the belts. Think that'll be a factor at all? Daniel's become aware he isn't getting any answers from the masked man or even thoughts about what he's saying. So he tries a different approach, he tries his hardest to be a professional about this interview he's trying to conduct. Though it comes across more like what a kid would think is the adult things to do than how an actual professional operates. His laid back tone isn't helping the illusion any. DB: Uh...Cibernetico! Those two are on your guys' team for Cibernetico, think it'll play a effect here or there over what the outcome is? He's still getting the cold shoulder by the champion and it doesn't look like it is about to change, seeing as there's the exit. Skull pushes open the door with one hand; the other is too busy tending to Kamen's things and his things. The door swings open and he steps out into the parking garage, leaving Daniel Brooks behind in the arena. Daniel stands there for a moment, trying to understand what's happened. DB: ...Bummer.. Defeated, Daniel hangs his head and he looks something vaguely similar to the emotion that's known as sadness. That lasts for a few seconds before he lifts his head back up and he looks around, as if he's forgotten why he's here in the first place. Daniel shrugs his shoulders and he puts the microphone in his hand down, not knowing why he's got it in the first place. Then he takes his leave, heading back into the depths of the arena to get his stuff to move onto Italy... |
