Far away from the FIW Halloween Party thread though still in the same arena, there is one FIW talent that's decided not to go. He's too busy doing some basic training to ease him out of the more advanced training he did earlier in the day. This mainly consists of simple things like what he's doing right now, and what he is doing is sit-ups. It's simple enough, he's lying on the floor of his locker room and his knees are bent, and he's sitting up, falling back down and then sitting back up again.

After one of the recent times he sits up, it's then he notices he isn't alone in the locker room. He had a feeling he couldn't shake that he had been watched for some time but now he's got confirmation, visible confirmation at that. It isn't everyday somebody is capable of sneaking up on him and so he's mildly impressed at the boy. He looks like some young Asian kid who desperately is in need of some sunlight.

V: You're not at the party.

The cryptic interviewer smiles a very strange smile, the sort of smile a spider might, if they could, when it's got a fly in it's trap. He steps further out of the shadows of the dimly lit locker room, his microphone's stuffed into his jeans' pocket. The staff member is honestly not all that impressive looking when one takes a look at him really, he's rail thin, he's pale and he looks young. It's all about the way that he carries himself that gives him a certain air about him, an air Skull can't stand.

PS: Hmph. Not my thing.

There's the understatement of the year. Skull isn't the socializing type, he sees very little point in it, it's a waste of effort & time that could be better spent either training or fighting. Something like a party is seen as an even graver situation to him, there are loads of people brought together to socialize and typically make fools of themselves. What's the appeal? They have mindless banter, they get drunk, and they dance, what is so amazing about that it drives people to go?

The costume aspect of something like a Halloween party makes something that's already worse and makes it that much more terrible to him. Costumes, they're such a dumb and embarrassing concept, pretending to be something you aren't. The amount of time and money people put into getting a costume they'll only ever be wearing once, maybe twice in their entire life. His shame knew no bounds when he saw Kamen prancing around in here earlier in that ridiculous outfit he's wearing tonight.

V: Yeah, me neither.

Oh really? The interviewer says it so casually it doesn't come across as a lie and yet Skull's having a hard time believing that. V's general appearance looks like the type of guy that would love Halloween and the idea of a costume party. Somewhere he can dress up and he can pretend to be a vampire or whatever it is he wishes he really was. It's interesting to hear he, supposedly, has no desire for such things.

V: So you have a match this week. Thoughts?

So his true purpose for being here is revealed! As if there was any doubt in anyone's mind, why else would an interviewer decided to intrude on a wrestler's life. He cocks his head to the side, as if trying to get a better look at the masked man that's on the floor. The way he looks at him is the way someone looks at something they don't quite recognize, and they're trying to recall what it is.

PS: My thoughts are simple. This match is a waste of our time now that Mad Dawg has ran off to play whatever game he's playing with Drake Love. It's insulting he would ignore this match and leave his partner to fend for himself, both as a competitor and as a man that's in a team. It shouldn't have surprised me though, every time we've met with the false prophet, he's tasted defeat at our hands. There is no direct benefit for his current goals in this match, and so he's left his blind follower to be pay the price.

The Phantom Skull finds it in extreme poor taste that Mad Dawg's decided to bail on their tag team match this week. The least he could've done is find a replacement partner for Roberto or spoken to management & gotten them replaced. Now the Seigi Sentai are facing Roberto Sanchez in what is a handicap match and Skull doesn't like it one bit. There is no challenge for him there, it would be so easy for them to collectively take down any threat Roberto poses.

PS: It's why if he truly chooses to stay out of this match, we are going to do Roberto a favor, one he doesn't deserve truthfully. We are going to avoid tagging in and tagging out, we will play this as a straight up singles competition. Who he faces we haven't decided yet, we'll figure out a method to fairly decide that the night of the match before it happens. His so-called leader might not show him mercy but we have enough honor and self-respect to give him a fair chance.

There it is, the matter Kamen and he spoke about before the fool skipped off to the Halloween party. The Seigi Sentai isn’t going to take advantage of the unfortunate situation Roberto Sanchez has been put in, even if they should. It's true he's not as much of an ass hole as his leader but Roberto's far from what one could call a saint either. It doesn't change anything though, Skull sees little relevance in a handicap match, and so they're going to do the honorable thing.

V: Is Roberto's situation really any different than the situation you were in last week?

Lazily he asks the question in an off handed manner, more like he's thinking out loud than seriously asking Skull it. He does have a point; it probably has been on more than one person's mind that Roberto's situation, at least somewhat, reflects Skull's last week. The surface details might have differences, the opponents, there aren't any championships on the line but the core is very similar. Skull nearly got left to the wolves, and Roberto is going to be left to the wolves this Sunday.

PS: It's very different, I knew Kamen would come back before Sunday, whether he came back on his own or I went and got him. There was never any doubt in my mind I'd have him by my side when we faced Valiente and Hayes last week. We even managed to implement a successful strategy we know and trust each other so well, I can't say the same for Roberto. He's been stranded with no hope in sight and even if there is, Mad Dawg's far too egomaniacal for a last minute strategy to work properly.

The scowl on his face grows deeper when he hears V's question, it's almost enough to tell him to get out. But instead he stays calm and he answers the question logically, showing several valid points about the differences along the way. He finds it insulting that the interviewer would dare compare Roberto's to his own situation from last week, in his eyes, they're nothing alike. By what he says, he does have a point to that, there isn't much similar about the two men's dilemmas.

PS: There are no more words to be said. There is no more time. The only thing that's remaining now is the fight.

FIW's World Tag Team Champion rises to his feet and his right hand clenches into a fist in front of him. His glowing eyes stare deep into the lifeless eyes of the staff member, the two pairs of eyes couldn't be any more different from each other than they are. Skull's words are said in their usual monotone voice and his eyes glow brighter when he informs V all that's remaining for them. With it, V smirks at the masked man and disappears into the shadows, ending this little scene.
