January, 2000 - Sunland, California ~It has been said that good lies within each of us. That even the most vile and despicable of all have a light hiding within them...somewhere. When given the chance, that light will grow, and it will shine. However, when evil is allowed to fester within. It too will grow, and the ramifications of its bounds are endless. It takes but one deed to undo all else...good...or evil.~ (Sunland is a beautiful place. Quiet, much more slow paced than the neighboring city of Los Angeles. The convenience of being so very close to the city, the beaches, and almost anything you needed, mixed with the serenity and peacefulness of a quaint suburb, being set apart from the chaotic city life. This was truly a haven. We watch as a small car pulls up against the curb, parking. Birds chirping, cool breezes on this sunny day. Even in the middle of "winter" the area had almost perfect weather. Stepping out from the car, we see Madame Selene and a still quite young Sarah Twilight. Young Sarah stands, folding her arms as she looks ahead of her, obviously unaware of what the purpose of this trip was) Sarah: What are we doing? Selene: I want you to meet someone. I think you'll have fun. Sarah: I was doing just fine staying at the shop and reading. Selene: Come now, let's go inside. (Reluctantly, Sarah follows Selene inside of the building. As they enter, we can see people vigorously working out, and people inside of wrestling rings, tossing each other around. As they move through-out the place, Sarah is observing everything, wondering exactly why Selene would bring her to a place like this. Selene scans the room for a moment, finally spotting who she was looking for. She smiles down at Sarah and the two head towards a young man who is watching a few of the combatants) Selene: Logan? (The man turns around) Logan: Ah, Selene. It's been such a long time. How have you been? Selene: I have been well. And yourself? Logan: Doing well. (He glances at Sarah, then looks back to Selene) Logan: I...thought you were no longer running the Children's home? (Selene smiles) Selene: I've not in quite some time. People do not understand by beliefs and, well, you know that creates problems. Logan: It's a shame, you were doing such a great service to the community. Selene: I try to help where I can. Logan: So who is this? (Logan again glances at Sarah) Selene: Her name is Sarah. I brought her here in hopes that we could....redirect some of her...energy, shall we say. (Logan smiles and extends his hand) Logan: Well hello there, Sarah. I'm Logan. (Sarah folds her arms and gives him a slight nod. Logan looks back at Selene) Logan: So what can I do to help? (Selene looks to Sarah) Selene: Sarah, please have a seat over there so I can discuss a few things with Mr. Hawkins. I promise I will let you know as soon as we're through. (Sarah rolls her eyes and walks away, taking a seat down beside one of the wrestling rings. She leans back in the chair and watches the training wrestlers go over the motions. Meanwhile, Selene and Logan walk towards his office as they talk) Selene: Sarah, she's a very gifted, very bright young girl. But she possesses such anger within her. I have yet to get everything out of her, but from what I can tell, she grew up with severe neglect. Logan: And the parents? What do they think of your involvement? Selene: She's been on her own for two years now. I have given her a place to stay, and something to occupy her time, but it isn't enough. Logan: (sighs heavily) I don't know, Selene. I have helped you before, but those were legal cases. Every one of those kids were under your care legally. I don't know if I want to jeopardize everything for a runaway. Selene: She didn't run away, Logan. Her mother and father ousted her. Logan: How old? Selene: She was twelve. Logan: Why didn't you contact the sheriff's office? Selene: So they could see to it that she is allowed back into that house That madness A few days in lockup for her father only to enrage him more? Logan: I see your point....well how is she scholastically? You know my policy on academics. Selene: Straight A student. Logan: And she has this much of an issue that you brought her here? Selene: She excels at any task that she draws interest. She is very intelligent, it is the anger and rage within her that I wish to direct into something positive. Logan: How are her feelings towards taking this on? Selene: She is unaware of why she is here. Logan: Do you really think it was best to bring her here unknowingly? Selene: I think she will take to it. If she is unwilling, I will not pressure her. Logan: (sighs) Alright, we'll see what happens. (Selene and Logan exit the office and back onto the main training floor. Sarah is still seated, watching the trainees intently, almost as if studying every move. One of the trainees is practicing a DDT, and repeats the maneuver several times. Logan and Selene approach Sarah) Selene: Sarah, Logan would like to speak with you now. (Sarah glances over at them, and she stands, looking rather annoyed as she again folds her arms) Sarah: What? Logan: How would you like to spend some time training here after school? It would be a great activity and I.... Sarah: I work at Selene's shop after school. Don't have time, sorry. (Selene smiles, trying to offer a hand) Selene: Oh, that would be no trouble. You know I can manage. Have some fun, enjoy yourself. You can spend as much time as you like at the shop. Just give this a try. (Sarah rolls her eyes) Sarah: Wrestling is for guys...not for girls. I don't see any other girls here. Logan: You would be the first...but why should that stop you? Sarah:Maybe because I don't want to wrestle? It does nothing for me. (Logan nods) Logan: I understand, Sarah. No problem. I am sorry for wasting your time. (Sarah walks past him with an attitude) Sarah: You should be. (As she passes him, Logan looks to a disheartened Selene, and smiles as he turns back and calls out to Sarah) Logan: You seemed to be watching my students pretty intently....for someone with no interest that is. (Sarah stops, and turns around, rolling her eyes again at Logan) Sarah: It's not like there was anything else to do here. (Logan nods again, smiling) Logan: I understand....you know, it would mean so much to Selene if you would step into the ring...just one time. (Sarah places her hands on her hips) Sarah: Is that so? (Selene nods her head) Sarah: One time, and we get the hell out of here? Selene: You have my word. (Sarah shakes her head, annoyed with this, but she heads back over) Logan: Step into the ring with William over there. (Logan points her to the ring he was mentioning. A rather hefty boy is in the ring. Quite the gut and obviously MUCH larger than Sarah. She glances over to the ring and looks back at Logan) Sarah: Are you out of your mind? Logan: Not at all. Just go step into the ring, take him down, and you can leave. Sarah: Take down tubby? That kid is like ten times my size! Logan: To the determined spirit, one's size does not matter. Selene: Logan, she's had no training....that boy is... Logan: I am aware Selene. Nothing to worry about. (He looks back to Sarah) Logan: ] It's as simple as it gets. Take him down, and walk out of here. I won't ask anything else of you. (Sarah looks at him oddly, she walks towards the ring where the fat kid was at, she looks back again, waiting to hear that this was a joke and she wasn't really expected to step into a wrestling ring with a kid who knew what he was doing and outweighed her by so much. But the "joke" never came. She exhales heavily and steps inside. Logan and Selene move alongside the ring, watching her) Logan: It's alright Sarah. Just think about what to do. (William chuckles a hearty, jolly laugh) William: Are you kidding me? This little girl, take me down? (Sarah eyes him, knowing his girth was far too much for her to lift, and she wasn't trained in any of this. What could she possibly do to take this fat bastard off his feet? She wanted nothing more than to get back to the shop, get back to her studies. William continued to scoff) William: We ain't got all day here. (Sarah narrows her eyes at him) Sarah: Shut up tubby. You have bigger breasts than your mom I bet. (William screams out) William: Don't talk about my mom!!! (He starts lumbering towards her, each step shaking the very ring it seemed. All that Sarah could think of is how fat this kid was, and now he was like a charging elephant. What to do? And then...WHAM!! She sends a kick directly between his legs, William doubles over, gasping. His face turns red, then purple as she nailed him dead on. Almost without even thinking about what she was about to do next, she drops William down with a DDT, not even realizing it. She quickly rolls outside of the ring and smirks at Logan) Sarah: Tubby is down. Now I'm outta here. (Logan looks at Selene with shock) Logan: She's never trained before? Selene: Only what she was watching while we spoke. (Logan jogs up to Sarah who has wasted no time heading for the door, she had no interest in this place) Logan: That was very impressive. You seem to be a natural at this. Are you sure you don't want to stick around? (Sarah opens the door to exit, she pauses and looks at Logan) Sarah: I am sure that I don't have time for this stupid place, stupid fat kids, and stupid wrestling. Logan: If you ever change your mind...or get bored. The doors are open. Sarah: Thanks, but no thanks. (Sarah walks out and heads to the car, waiting for Selene. Logan waits by the door as Selene makes her way towards the exit now as well) Selene: I suppose we can say we tried. Logan: That we did. So much talent...to pick up the execution like that without ever practicing it on her own. But no interest. Selene: She must have some interest, or she would not have picked it up so quickly. Sarah...she is very stubborn, but when she finds something she enjoys....nothing sands in her way. Logan: Perhaps she'll accept the open invitation at some point. Selene: Perhaps. (Selene gives Logan a hug, and exits as well, she heads to a waiting Sarah, and the car. The two drive off as we fade out here) May, 2000 - Sunland, California "Come on, Sarah! You'll be late for school!" "I'm coming. Relax!" (We can hear as Sarah calls downstairs to Selene. Our scene opens inside of Selene's main shop area, which is not yet open for the day. Sarah comes racing down the stairs into the shop, all of her belongs for school with her. Selene smiles and shakes her head as the young teenager does what mostly all teens do, rushes around in the morning) Selene: Finals today? Sarah: Yeah, gotta go. (Sarah hurries towards the door) Selene: Sarah, don't forget, I am heading down to San Diego this afternoon. The shop is closed for the day. You have your key right? Sarah: I got it. Selene: Please pick up the inventory supplies on your way back from school. Sarah: Okay. See ya. (Sarah heads out in a dash. Selene tends to a few things, preparing for her trip that afternoon) Later that day (The 3:00 bell rings as we see the exterior of Verdugo Hills High School, nestled just on the border of Sunland and Tujunga. Hundreds of students begin pouring through the exits. Some of them hanging around, chatting and gossiping. Others, being picked up by their parents. We focus in on Sarah, who quickly leaves the campus and starts walking, she looks at the time and quickens her pace, heading towards the supply store to pick up Selene's order. She makes it in time, and gathers the supplies, just a small amount of things such as receipt paper, and an inventory booklet. As she makes her way the main shopping district of Sunland, she stops, looking at something) Sarah: (to herself) No Sarah. This is stupid. Just go home and read. (She thinks for a few more moments and finally she sighs, turning and walking inside of a building. Inside, we recognize this as Logan Hawkins' school of Professional Wrestling. She looks around for a moment, and decides this was a bad idea and turns towards the door once again) "Is that who I think it is?" (Sarah stops at the door and hesitantly turns around as the voice calls out. Logan had noticed her before she was able to slip back outside) Sarah: I was just leaving. Logan: Well you obviously came in here for a reason. Sarah: I made a mistake. I have things to do. Logan: I see. Sarah: What does it matter to you, anyway? Logan: It doesn't. It's your choice to make. Sarah: Good, then I'm going. Logan: Take care. (Sarah pushes the door open, but she doesn't walk outside, she stops, and lets the door close, looking back at Logan.) Sarah: Why did Selene bring me here? What is so damn important about wrestling? Logan: Maybe nothing. But it would be a way for you to release some of that anger you have inside of you. Sarah: Excuse me? Logan: You walk around with a chip on your shoulder, why? Sarah: None of your business. Logan: No, it isn't. But what is my business is why you came into my school. Either you're here to learn, or you aren't. Sarah: Like I said, I'm leaving. Logan: Is that what keeps you so angry? Just taking the easy way? Sarah: You don't know a damn thing about me. Logan: You're right, I don't. Why don't you show me that I'm wrong? (Sarah glares at him for a long moment, finally she places her backpack and bag of store supplies on one of the benches and she stands arrogantly in front of Logan) Sarah: I will. (Logan smiles as he leads Sarah over towards the other students) Logan: Aright guys, listen up. I want to introduce you to the newest member of our class. This is Sarah. A few Months Later (We watch various scenes of Sarah practicing maneuver after maneuver. She would perfect each one, getting angry with herself whenever she could not master something in the first few tries. We see her stretching, developing speed and coordination with a punching bag. Doing various workouts and using submission and a ground based, technical style to take down her opponents, all of whom were larger than her and all of whom were male. Our scene changes now to show Sarah at a weight bench, a large amount of weight on the bar. One of the students rushes over to inform Logan) Henry: Mr. Hawkins, Sarah has too much weight on that bar and she's not listening to us. (Logan drops what he is doing and heads into the weight room. Sarah is positioned on the bench press, wrapping her hands around the bar, preparing to lift) Logan: Sarah! What are you doing? That is too much weight for you! (Sarah glances up from the bench, not yet having lifted the bar) Sarah: How else am I going to get better? Logan: You're doing great. But Sarah, that's two hundred and fifty pounds!! That's more than twice your weight. Sarah: I can lift this. Logan: You've only been working with one hundred pounds, Sarah. You can't graduate to more than double that so quickly. (Sarah rests her head back down and lifts the bar off of the stand...the weight immediately forces her arms down and the weight presses down against her. She begins turning red, and Logan rushes over with a few students to help her. They reach for the bar, Sarah muffles out) Sarah: No! (She is struggling with the weight but remains stubborn) Sarah: Hrrmmmph I'll do it....hmmmrppppphhh myself. (Logan halts in removing the bar from her, at least for just a moment) Henry: Are we gonna help her? Logan: Not yet. (Sarah grits her teeth and narrows her eyes, she struggles a bit more, but amazingly, she manages to push the bar back up and places it on the rest. Hardly a full repetition of bench presses with such weight, but she manages to lift it just once on that day....that in itself was a victory) Logan: Are you alright, Sarah? (Sarah breathes heavily) Sarah: I'm fine. Logan: You could have killed yourself. (Logan walks over toward one of the coolers within the weight room and retrieves a bottled water, handling it to Sarah. She takes it, sitting up, and she drinks it down quickly) Sarah: I'm sick of repeating the same things. I want to do what everyone else can. I need to be able to lift more. Logan: That may not be unreasonable after what we just saw. (he chuckles) (Logan takes a seat across from Sarah and talks with her) Logan: You have a determination inside of you, Sarah. Anything that you want to accomplish, you will. Just don't try to move pace too quickly, okay? (Sarah nods) Logan: Alright, hit the showers. You did well today. (Sarah grabs her gym bag and heads out of the weight room as our scene fades out once again) December, 2003 - Sunland, California (We hear the jingle of small bells as we watch the door to Selene's quaint shop open. Selene looks up from the counter to see Logan entering the shop. A worried look befalls her face as she knew that at this time of the afternoon, Sarah should be training) Selene: Logan, what's wrong? Logan: Calm yourself, Selene. Everything is fine. Selene: But Sarah, is she not at class? Logan: She's there, working hard as ever. But she wanted to stay longer today with the others. She asked me to bring you this list. Says she wanted to read those when she gets in. (Selene sighs with relief and takes the list, now smiling) Selene: She has come around so much, hasn't she? Logan: It's really amazing to see. At first, I thought we'd never simmer that anger of hers. Selene: She's finally happy with her life. I can see the difference every day with her. She's kinder, friendlier with people. She's even become helpful to others on her own will. Logan: She has a reason to enjoy life, and it's thanks to you. Selene: You have done so much to help me with her. Thank you. Logan: Anytime....you should come see her today. She's about to earn another trophy. I'm sure she would be excited to see you there. Selene: I wouldn't miss it for the world. (Logan smiles as he heads out. Selene looks over the list Sarah had requested and begins gathering the books) Later That Day (Inside of Logan Hawkins' School of Professional Wrestling, we watch on as Sarah is working with two students in the ring. The two students are practicing a rolling arm-bar. One of the two boys can't quite seem to figure it out and is getting frustrated with himself. It is here when we see a side of Sarah that has been long forgotten. She steps in, talking to the boy) Sarah: Calm down, you'll get it Richie. Richie: I keep trying it, and all I keep doing is screwing up. Sarah: Try it slow first. Get the motions and then after you've done that a few times, try it in one set. Richie: I keep forgetting when to roll, and I lose the grip. Sarah: Look, slow, like this. (Sarah and the other boy work out the motions slowly. She wrenches the arm and looks to Richie) Sarah: Wrench, then step over. (She executes the step over. And then completes the roll, and finally locks the hold into it's final position) Sarah: It's four motions, just look at them separately and you'll get it. Now you try. (Sarah releases the hold and stands up. The other boy gets back up and gets ready for Richie to make his attempt) Richie: Wrench, step over, roll, lock it. (Richie attempts this slowly and by taking his time, he is able to perform the maneuver correctly. He is very excited. As he gets back to his feet, the other boy high fives him. Richie looks to Sarah) Richie: Thanks. Sarah: No problem, just keep practicing it. You'll be a pro at it. (She smiles) Richie: I hope so. (We hear the sound of a whistle being blown as Logan calls everyone to the main floor. They all sit down on the large sparring mat that was there.) Logan: Alright people, it's the end of the year, and we have awards to give out. (Logan has a few trophies and medals to hand out, he picks up the first trophy and holds it in front of him) Logan: Now the first award I am presenting is very special. I have presented awards to this person as a student, and now I am proud to present this award to my newest trainer...Sarah Twilight. (The class applauds as Sarah gets up and walks over to Logan, he hands her the trophy and smiles) Logan: You've worked hard, Sarah. I know that you can pass on the will and determination to help boost others. Which is why...the next award we have, you will be choosing who gets it...as a trainer. (Sarah looks surprised by this, Logan picks up another trophy and he holds it in front of him) Logan: This award is for the year's hardest working student. So tell us, Sarah. Who in the class gets it? (Sarah looks around at the class for a bit, many of the students there performed well, and it was probably a hard choice to make, but the choice she did make, surprised everyone....everyone but Logan) Sarah: Richie Parker. Logan: Excellent choice. Now tell us why? Sarah: Richie shows up every day, he struggles to do this, and yet he keeps showing up, and he keeps trying. That is a hard worker. (Logan smiles in agreement with Sarah as Richie walks up to the front and accepts his trophy. Sarah looks around the room now, and finally spots a smiling Selene, standing by the door. She rushes over to her as the remainder of awards are handed out. She gives Selene a hug) Sarah: You came! Selene: Of course I did...and just in time to see you do something so very kind. Sarah: It was nothing special. Selene: For you, believe me it was. I am so very proud to see the changes in you. Such a difference. Sarah: You and Logan have done so much for me....I think everyone should be treated that way. Selene: Indeed, everyone should. But in this world, that doesn't always happen. So long as you remember that, you'll find it easier to show compassion. Sarah: Thank you...for everything. Selene: It has been a pleasure for me to know you, Sarah. Keep up the hard work. You're going to make something out of life. Sarah: I'm not worried about that. But....you know, I almost have enough money to care for Rachel. A few more months and I should be able to get her. Is it....rude of me to leave after all the help you've given me? Selene: No, Sarah. I understand. I know that you want for your sister what you have, happiness...life. Speaking of that, I have something for you when you get home. Think of it as an early..."Christmas" present. (she smiles) Sarah: [/i]Christmas? You don't celebrate Chr.....[/i] Selene: Shhh. For this occasion, I think we can make an exception. (Sarah smiles and gives Selene another hug. We fade out once more) That Night (Sarah arrives back at the shop a little earlier than she expected. Selene was there, awaiting any customers, which was unlikely at night, but she continued working anyway. Sarah is surprised to find Selene still working, the shop was usually closed by now. She steps inside and approaches) Sarah: What are you still doing down here? Selene: Business has been slow. I've extended shop hours for the holiday. Sarah: I can handle the shop for the rest of the night. You should get some rest. Selene: I appreciate that, Sarah. But first, there is something I want to show you. I have that "Christmas" gift, remember? Sarah:[/i] (curiously) Okay....[/i] (Selene leads Sarah through the back of the shop to where Sarah's room was located. She opens the door to the room and turns on the light. Sarah steps inside and looks around. All of her thing were there, but now there were two beds in the room. and extra dressers. Sarah looks back at Selene) Sarah: What is all of this? Selene: I have known that you've wanted to take your sister from that miserable home she is living in. I know you have been struggling to make that happen. So Logan and I...we made some adjustments to accommodate her as well. (Sarah's eyes become wide with joy and she can't believe it) Sarah: Are you serious? Rachel can come and stay here...with me...with us? (Selene nods and Sarah hugs her tightly) Sarah: [/i]Thank you. Thank you so much!! Selene, you are the closest thing I've ever had to a real mother. Thank you![/i] (Selene returns the hug and smiles, knowing how happy Sarah was to hear this) Sarah: Now you go get some sleep. I'll work the shop. It's the least I can do. Selene: Are you sure? You've had a long day. Sarah: It's no trouble. Please, go rest. (Selene smiles at Sarah and retires to her own room as Sarah returns to the shop floor and sits behind the counter. She smiles and shakes her head again as she looks down to see Selene had neatly stacked the books she'd wanted to read. Sarah gets comfortable, picking up one of the books. She turns on the shop's small television set, with the sound kept low in the background as she begins reading) Sarah:[/i] (reading) Hmm, Harvest Moon Ceremonies.[/i] (She sits there for quite some time, reading, studying the books, she is peaceful and enjoying herself. In the background the news is playing on the television. At first, this does not interrupt Sarah's studies, but something catches her attention as she hears a reporter in the background) "Tujunga teen brutally attacked in attempted mugging." (Sarah looks up at the television, immediately placing her book down, she turns up the volume and listens intently, watching the footage as they reported live) "The young teen was found just outside of her home late this evening. It is suspected she was attacked while trying to enter the home and was left for dead with serious injuries. Police believe the attacker fled before being able to take anything from the victim as all of her belongings were still in place. Because the victim is a minor, her name is not being released at this time." (Sarah's peaceful and serene state was all but disappearing as she watched the footage. She knew that street, that house. It was clear to her that the victim was her sister, Rachel. The odds of this being some random robbery attempt were slim to none. Sarah in a fit of anger picks up the book she was reading and throws it at the television set, shattering the picture tube. She gets up, taking candles, incense and a few oils. Storming towards the shop's exit. Selene comes down from her room, just in time to watch Sarah storm outside) Selene: Sarah! Sarah, where are you going? Wait! (Selene, unaware of what was going on, notices the broken television set. She sighs heavily, not knowing what set Sarah off) The Hospital (We now fade into the interior of UCLA Medical Center. We look on as Sarah is sitting beside a hospital bed. Her sister Rachel is lying there, unconscious. Most of her entire face was bruised, her head was bandaged, blood soaking through the gauze. Her arms bruised just as badly, but nothing could be more horrific than her face having been beaten to a pulp. This was Alec's doing. The imprint of a beer bottle in Rachel's cheek told the story. Sarah holds her sister's hand, talking to her. Even though Rachel was unconscious, Sarah had to believe that somehow, she could hear her) Sarah: I should have come for you sooner. Rachel, please believe me I have been trying for you. Selene just said you could stay with us. Please make it through this, Rachel. You'll never have to go back there again. I'm going to take care of you, like you're supposed to be. (Sarah grips Rachel's hand tightly, and she kisses her sister's forehead) Sarah: He's never going to hurt you again, Rachel. I promise you that. He's never going to hurt you again..... (Sarah looks down at her sister once more before leaving the room. Her eyes had by now lost all emotion, and the happy, peaceful teen was no more. Anger, hatred...and evil had returned. But sometimes, you have to be evil. Sometimes there is no justice in good, and only by taking the path of darkness will it prevail) 4:00am - Tujunga, California - Twilight Household (We fade back in to the interior of Sarah's former home. Upstairs in the master bedroom, Alec begins to stir. He staggers out of bed, still feeling the effects of his drunken binge the night before. He belches as he makes his way towards the door. Elizabeth rolls over) Elizabeth: Where are you going? It's four in the morning. Alec: I have to piss, shut up and go back to sleep. (Alec finishes up in the restroom, and as he exits the room, he looks around) Alec: What the fuck? Elizabeth, I swear if you burnt something bitch, I'm going to come back up here and kick the shit out of you! (Alec is smelling smoke, and he slowly makes his way down the stairs. As he reaches the bottom, he is stunned to see light coming from his living room. He finally gets into the room only to see various candles, meticulously placed out around the room, all of them lit. They formed a pattern, an odd shape he'd never seen before...A five pointed star, within a circle. (pentagram) Alec clenches his fists) Alec: Somebody wants to play fucking game? Come on out mother fucker. I'll play some fucking games. (Alec steps further into the room and he never saw it coming as he was taken off of his feet in one swift motion. He hits the living room floor hard, and he he looks up to see his daughter, Sarah standing over him, she looks down at him with malice in her eyes) Sarah: You think you would get away with it, asshole? Alec: Oh you little bitch! You're gonna be sorry you came back here! Sarah: They only person here who is going to be sorry is you. You piece of shit. (Alec pulls himself back to his feet and slaps Sarah across the face, he was fully ready to have a fight with his own daughter. The coward that he was. But Sarah laughs at him as he slaps her, and spits in his face) Sarah: That all you got? You fucking pussy! (Alec is infuriated now and he balls his fist and punches Sarah in the mouth. She holds her jaw, and when she pulls her hand away, she sees a trickle of blood on her fingertips and she smirks before returning the favor with a punch of her own. She unleashes a fury on her father, repeatedly punching him. He swings punches back until Sarah takes his feet out from under him and he finds himself once again on the floor. The commotion has caused Elizabeth to rush down stairs, she sees the ensuing fight and begins screaming) Elizabeth: What are you doing? Stop it! Stop it now!! (Sarah grabs Alec by the back of his head and smashes his face into the coffee table, she continues to assault him, even when he is no longer defending himself. Amidst the fury, she grabs one of his empty beer bottles and smashes it over his skull, taking the remaining portion of it, she begins to stab him in the chest over and over, screaming at him) Sarah: You'll never touch her again you piece of shit! NEVER!!! (Alec was bleeding all over the place long before Sarah would stop stabbing and assaulting him. Elizabeth continues to scream, now yelling at Sarah) Elizabeth: Look what you did! Look what you did! You bitch, I hate you, why did you come here? WHY? (Sarah stands up and looks at her mother with disgust) Sarah: Shut up! You are just as bad as he is! You never cared about me or about Rachel. She's in the fucking hospital almost DEAD and you two sleep like nothing was fucking wrong! (Sarah backhands her mother with enraged anger. Elizabeth falls to the floor and hits her head, also now falling unconscious.) Sarah: No more. No fucking more! (Sarah looks down at her parents and spits in total disgust. Our scene shifts to Sarah walking away from the house. A cold, malicious evil in her eyes. In the background we see the windows of the home blow out as flames explode from them. The house is now engulfed in flames and the sounds of sirens can be heard in the distance.) Selene's shop - A short while later (Sarah returns to the shop, her hands covered in blood and in her eyes, the cold, emotionless nature that Selene remembered when first ever meeting Sarah. Selene rushes over as Sarah comes inside) Selene: What happened Sarah? Sarah what did you do? (Sarah responds with a flat, calm voice that was eerily familiar) Sarah: I made things right, that's all. Selene: Sarah.....tell me what happened? Sarah: He will never hurt Rachel again. Selene: Hurt Rachel? Oh no. Sarah you went back there? (Selene sighs) Selene: Go wash up. We'll talk when you're done. Logan is on his way, we've been worried sick. (Sarah casually walks through the back of the shop, as if she'd done nothing. And gets herself washed up. Meanwhile, as Selene awaits Logan's arrival, she sees headlights shining through the window as a car approaches and parks. After a few moments, there is a sturdy knock at the door. Selene answers to see a man standing there) Selene: May I help you? Man: I'm Detective Chapman with LAPD. I'm looking for a Miss....Sarah Twilight. Selene: She's here...may I ask what this is about? Det. Chapman:[ I just need to speak with her. (Sarah walks out from the back, surprised to see the man there. He looks up and notices her) [Det. Chapman: You must be Sarah. (Sarah narrows her eyes at the man and nods) [Det. Chapman: Tell me Sarah, where have you been this evening? (Selene interrupts) Selene: She's been here all night. She helped me close the store and had gone to bed afterwards. [Det. Chapman: Are you sure of this? Selene: Positive. (The detective scans the room, noticing the broken television set. He walks around the shop) [Det. Chapman: So what happened here tonight? Looks like someone wasn't happy. Selene: I accidentally broke the set. Was trying to get a fly. [Det. Chapman: I see. (Just then, Logan walks into the shop hurridly and stops, looking on at the scene. He looks at Det. Chapman, recognizing him) Logan: Harold? What are you doing here? [Det. Chapman: Logan, well I'll be damned. I haven't seen you since High School. I'm conducting a standard investigation here. But isn't it a bit late for a visit? (Logan folds his arms, unsure of what is going on) [Det. Chapman: Now I am going to ask again, where were you this evening, Sarah? Selene: She was here. [Det. Chapman: I didn't ask you, I asked Sarah. (Logan quickly responds, acting fast.) Logan: Harold, if Selene says she was here. Then she was here. (Det. Chapman sighs a bit, still suspicious, but taking an old friend for his word....at least for the time being. He nods and tips his hat.) [Det. Chapman: Okay Logan. I'll leave it be for the moment. But I'll be in touch. (Det. Chapman leaves the shop, still looking around as he goes. Once he is gone, Logan and Selene look at Sarah, who is sitting there, emotionless. It was apparent that evil had taken form on this night. All that was good had wandered away and evil stands in it's place. The light was no forever shadowed by the darkness. It has been said that good lies within each of us. That even the most vile and despicable of all have a light hiding within them...somewhere. When given the chance, that light will grow, and it will shine. However, when evil is allowed to fester within. It too will grow, and the ramifications of its bounds are endless. It takes but one deed to undo all else...good...or evil) (Our scene fades to black) To be continued.... |
