Rick Nuller is caught off guard by Neo's pounce, sure, but by no means does it upset him. Rick participates gladly in the brotherly embrace begun by his old tag team partner.

Big Country: Neo Carner an' Roy Harlowe!

Woops.

Big Country: 'Scuse me -- Maverick! Fancy meetin' you two here. How've you been?

Rick and Neo release the hug, and Rick is given an opportunity to stand up with Roy and him. Neo explains to Rick his latest situation, and Rick raises an eyebrow.

Big Country: You're kiddin'.

Then Roy and Neo converse about Brian Q. Skellington's management of the roster, a conversation Nuller doesn't care to participate in very much, though he at least he gives them the courtesy of listening. They don't dwell on it long before Neo inquires about Rick's knee. He glances down at it for a moment, then shrugs his shoulders as he looks back to Neo.

Big Country: Looks fine. My doctor tol' me to keep out a' the ring for at leas' six months, so I'm managin' the new kid in the meanwhile. Hey, speakin' a which, aren't you two up agains' him this week?

The tone in which Rick asks is so casual, it's as if he was asking if they were going with Cuervo to see a movie that weekend. Naturally, Rick has no hard feelings. It's business as usual, after all.

Big Country: But wait, back up a minute.

Or maybe not; his tone becomes somewhat harsh.

Big Country: Who's "they", an' what are they doin' to try an' turn you into a bad guy?

What's not business as usual is the news that Neo Carner may be turning or already has turned heel. Rick's not entirely sure which is the case. He doesn't know the whole story. Just to be safe, he folds his arms and goes into lecture mode.

Big Country: You better not be doin' nothin' stupid, y' hear? I know you have a knack for gettin' yourself in trouble. If I need to come back early to knock some sense into you, I jus' might.

El Cuervo Blanco stares some more at Blink. He can't help himself. A range of emotions flood over him. On one hand, he feels strongly that he owes her an apology, but it tears him apart that he can't can't express himself to her with his words. Meanwhile, he would feel incredibly awkward trying to communicate with her while she's chatting with her boyfriend.

"Cocoon," it sounds like she's calling him. The name fails to ring any bells, but it does remind him of old people. And Steve Guttenberg. One and the same, these days. Anyway, it must not be anybody he knows.

He's been standing there for a while. It's now starting to get to the point where Cuervo realizes just how creepy he must seem right about now. He's not the only one.

"Are ye lost, sonny boy?"

Just as Cuervo gets the inkling to return to the BBBBQ eat-and-greet booth, a firm hand lands on his shoulder and swings him around. The rugged man that owns this hand wears a T-Shirt with the bold letters "SECURITY" printed on it. He appears to be about one dirty glance away from throwing Cuervo out of the convention hall.

Cuervo slowly shakes his head. Then, after he's given it some further thought, he contradicts himself with a nod.

Security: Oh, a smart-ass, aye? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't toss ye outta here.

Cuervo quickly fumbles for his ID badge which would tell this large Irishman that he belongs here. Except both of them are suddenly distracted by Victoria Steele's booming voice.

So, Cuervo, with the guard temporarily out of his hair, listens to what Victoria has to say. And then, she reveals the mediazine cover.

Security: Holy hell!

Evidently, very little, quite possibly nothing, is left to the imagination. For the sake of the children at the convention center, this author hopes that the cover photo is no worse than PG-13. But, even if she is covering herself, Cuervo is so embarrassed for Blink that his mask almost becomes flush with color.

Before he could dwell on it much longer, the guard snatches him by the arm.

Security: On second thought...

He wraps Cuervo's wrists tight behind him and pushes him along. Cuervo thinks to himself, he's going to have to call Rick and let him know he got kicked out for leering, and find some place to go while Rick finishes up in the booth. Maybe he'll go find an arcade. Those still exist, right?

But, wait, the exit is over that way. Where are they going?

...Oh no.

It appears that Cuervo's fate is much worse than simply being ejected.

Security: 'Scuse me, Miss Madison. Do you happen tae know this fella? He's been right giving you the googly eyes for thae past two minutes straight.

If only one could see the look of horror on Cuervo's fully-masked face right now, as he stands accused before his "victim" and her suitor.

Kamen's watching Blink about as closely as he's ever watched her before, he can't help it, and he’s got to know what she thinks. This is why every little second spent thinking it over she takes is torture to her boyfriend, fearing the worst for her reaction and their relationship. When she looks up, he follows her line of sight, trying to see if maybe she's looking at something that'll clue him in to how she feels. When she looks back down, he follows her there to, trying to listen as closely as he can without leaning in to what she says. He can't make it out though it sounds like she's saying something in regards to the nickname...

Oh lord...she hates it so much she can't even speak!

Waiting for the final verdict is horrible and when it comes...relief is washed over him so much it's overwhelming. Blink's smile, she's smiling, this is good, it's maybe the happiest he's ever been to see her smile so brightly and look just so happy. Is this the happiest he's ever seen the Bad Girl? It could possibly be in the top ten, at least, maybe not above certain moments they've had and he's seen, like last night...

...That does count as happy, right?

The funny thing is that he had been so stressed about picking the right nickname he had never once considered it paired with his own. Now that someone's done so, he has to admit, he walked into that one on pure luck and boy is he ever happy that he did. Kamen smiles brightly, mirroring his girlfriend's expression right down to the blushing, he's so happy that he could make her so happy with his choice. It's a little surreal to think they're already thinking about nicknames for each other and how they sound with each other but he isn't complaining.

Beats the alternative.

The Inter-Galactic Hero's eager to hear what else she's got to say but instead their conversation is interrupted by Victoria Steele, again. He's patient though and so he pays attention to what the CEO has to say, curious as to what this next announcement is. Is it another match, another detail to the next season for one of her shows, maybe another new cast member to announce or another team for a match? There's so many things it could be, and so far Victoria's being rather vague about what it could be, get on with it alre-

Hello.

My, this is a surprise.

Instinctively he leans into the kiss and he closes his eyes, trying to enjoy it and get lost in the sensation, in the passion. There's only one problem with this, there is no passion, least there's a serious lack of any coming from the other person in the kiss. So Kamen opens his eyes, curious and confused, finding that Blink's not looking at him, she's too busy staring at something else to notice their kiss. His eyes follow the direction her eyes are looking in and he soon sees what it is she's looking at, the announcement.

Victoria isn't making much sense to him, probably because he missed a portion of her announcement by being kissed by the Bad Girl. It all falls into place though when a graphic appears on screen for the magazine she had been talking about. His eyes grow wide, so wide they're almost as big as his usual mask's eyes, they look like they're about to pop out of their sockets. Blink posed nude for the magazine and it's going to be on sell soon?! Why didn't she tell him?!

SKR: Natsu-chan! This is great news!

Kamen breaks the kiss and he stares at the screen in complete shock for a few moments before he's grinning! He looks back over at the pink haired girl and he's beaming with pride when he exclaims what great news this is he's found out. Clearly she didn't say anything because she wanted to keep it a secret, something to surprise him with when he got here. It wouldn't shock him to find out that this is why she invited him here, so that he could share this moment with her.

SKR: Not only is your company honoring and immortalizing your beauty but they're allowing the whole world to appreciate the work of art it is!

His arms wrap around her in a hug and he brings her in so close for it that he's lifting her up off the ground ever so slightly. If she bent her foot downward she'd probably be able to touch the ground again but as of right now, it looks like she's hovering. Kamen laughs happily at the news, continuing to grin brightly when he reveals how he perceives this news as opposed to the reality of the situation. That it's Victoria Steele making another buck off of Blink and Blink's having serious regrets about it.

This happy moment, for Kamen, is derailed when a security guard comes over to them and he spots who he's dragging along. He can't believe his eyes when he sees who it is, it's one of the men that's been giving him the slip on joining his Cibernetico team! What luck he has, running into the fellow champion at a con like this, what're the odds?! Cuervo didn't strike him as a Bad Girls fan, so he can only assume that he's here by some great twist of fate that's working in his favor.

SKR: Cuervo! What's with the new sidekick? I thought Rick and you were a team...

As if the security guard didn't just explain everything to them, Kamen talks to the other masked man, acting as if the guard is non-existent. It isn't so much he's purposely ignoring the man, more it seems like he really doesn't register that he's there...standing right next to Cuervo. This is even the man that first brought Kamen's attention to them, is he really that forgetful when he gets excited? Yes, he is, and so he blinks & looks confused when he doesn't see Big Country with Cuervo, instead assuming this man's his new sidekick.

Blink smiles when she literally feels the excitement of Kamen Ranger over the news but it dies away after El Cuervo Blanco is brought over. It wasn't because of him that she loses her smile, it's because t was just one of those “I'm smiling for your benefit but now that you're no longer looking I'll just stop now” kind of smiles. It's Kamen Ranger who responds to the entrance of the Fighting Spirit Champion so Blink fails to say anything even though she was the one asked the question. Her response is a slight nod letting the security guard know that she indeed knows him. Of course she knows him, he took advantage of an advantage she created and to make matters worse hit her when she was “out of the game”. But she can't be upset about it as it was her fault, her weakness that delivered the outcome.

There's a mad rush at one of the booths as the announcer proclaims that a sale of a hundred advance copies will be made and that the Bad Girl herself is in attendance to sign it. That is if they can find her, she points out playfully as the music resumes. So is this the reason for the outfit? To take part in some game to help push advance sales of the magazine and drive the fans to wander about the floor? Perfectly planned but honestly Blink doesn't feel like playing it anymore as she slides the mask off of her head turning away from the two to begin walking away. They're talking so they won't even notice her gone and while she would love to get to know the champion a little better, let him know she doesn't feel bitter, she just doesn't feel up to the joy of making a new friend.

She makes her way out of the fan art section and to the floor where she notices a few fans already flipping through the pages of their recently purchased magazine. Seeing them only drives home what it is that Emily had told her time and time again. “Friendship is worthless. Each one of them will leave you after stabbing you in the back.” If Kamen Ranger had asked she would've told him she did it to further pay for Nikita's room of flowers. Now that Blink looks back on it, it does make her feel that she's told the entire truth about friends. Maybe she was right about everything else.

Kamen Ranger has already used their friendship against her, even if it was accidental. Blink can't exactly recall how she felt moments before being clotheslined out of her socks. Did she go limp? Take the shot to further his own happiness? Valiente left her after that using his rematch clause with a friend. Blink still has hers and still has a partner in mind knowing this person can't turn against her again, even if they already did a few times. “Deception is key to victory.” Another lesson taught by the redhead. Another thing she was right about.

Blink notices that a few of the cosplayers are already getting asked for autographs for the magazine. Some of them are informing them of the sad truth while others are more than happy to forge a signature. There's even a couple who sign their own names on the cover. No one's found the real Blink yet as she makes her way toward the stage where at the right of it they've structured a platform where fans can climb up and get as detailed a map as ever. There's a colour key on it that depicts which booth is which and already a few people in line holding their magazines hoping this will be what helps them find the real Blink in the crowd. It's not here or the stage that stops her though as she continues her trek to the backstage area after showing her identification pass to the security guard on duty. She slips the pass back in behind her costume and continues to walk.

There are several people rushing around backstage pushing themselves past Blink as she continues her way down the hall. Along the way the announcer notices Blink and asks if she should be allowed back here right now. Blink doesn't respond as she keeps going in silence stopping just fifteen or so feet away in front of a door. She glances up at the name on the door, Emily Stratfield, for only a second before raising up a hand to knock. She was told she would be here in her room in case she was needed to further hype her match with Spice. But this isn't the reason Blink's here as in between the moment of the knocking and the door opening the Bad Girl lowers to her hands and knees. There's a momentary pause until the figure blocking the way steps to the side and Blink is allowed to crawl in as the door is closed tightly behind her.

It's while he's waiting for Cuervo to say something; foolishly, he notices something doesn't feel right. He isn't sure what exactly but suddenly it feels like something's missing, something important, something that matters a whole lot to him. Kamen glances around and it's when he's about to turn back to Cuervo that he notices out of the corner of his eyes what it is. How stupid! How could he have not noticed it sooner?!

Blink's gone!

The Inter-Galactic Hero stands up straight and he turns around, looking for his girlfriend that's disappeared. Where did she go, why didn't she say anything to him, even just to let him know she's going somewhere? It isn't like it matters that she wanted to go somewhere or away from him, he'd simply liked to have been let known that it was happening. The least he would've done is give her a farewell for now, it is just for now, right? The entire reason he's here is...her, really...

Maybe he should've let her speak first; the security guard was asking her a question and not him. Still, he thought it wouldn't hurt to chat up Cuervo, knowing the man somewhat, and he'd let Blink handle that business stuff with the security guard. Maybe he was out of line, maybe it upset her, making her feel useless and so she simply left the two of them, going somewhere else where she didn't feel that way. Crap, is that what really happened?

SKR: Excuse me...

It's not heartfelt at all, it sounds distracted, it sounds half hearted, and he says it before he nearly runs away from the security guard & Cuervo. He isn't sure why he's moving so fast, is he really expecting to find Summer Madison in this sea of pink haired girls dressed as her? It is, admittedly, easier to spot her out with the outfit she has on but that doesn't change the fact it's a difficult task for anyone, even him. There are times like these are when he wishes he would've paid more attention to Skull's making someone in a crowd lessons they had.

He's got to find her.

He's got to find her.

Why is he getting so worked up?

Maybe...maybe she just went for a walk.

Yeah right.

He doesn't pay attention to the announcement made over the P.A. system, if he did, it would explain what she is wearing. His eyes are bouncing all over the place, from person to person to person, trying to find the one he calls his girlfriend. While there are some lovely women, who put some considerable effort into their cosplays, none of them are Summer, none of them are Blink. None of them are the woman that's important to him, so important he's risked alot of things, his health, his life in both senses.

There is something that makes him pause and it angers him for a moment, when he sees what some of the Blink cosplayers are doing. They're signing the issues of the magazine, pretending to be the actual Blink, pretending that they're Summer Madison. It's so disrespectful that it jars him from his panic, if only for a moment and he's left glaring at the people that are doing such dishonest actions. He wants to go over there & give them a scolding, telling them about virtues one must strive for...but..

Not like this.

Not dressed like this.

Certainly not now.

Off he goes again, he is now officially running, and there are a few security guards that are taking a notice of him. It's not exactly what one can call safe, if someone's running through a packed con the way he is, looking so frantic. He doesn't know what he's doing anymore, he's moving so fast that it's hard to even see the people he's passing. How is he supposed to find Blink moving like this? The naivety in him believes once he finds her, the real Summer Madison, he'll know, and he's going to feel something and stop.

It's all growing so overwhelming, his panic, his fear, did he embarrass her by being so excited about the announcement? Why wouldn't she have been happy too? What if it was Cuervo, now that he thinks about it, the FSC, what if she's still upset over the events that took place in that match? It should've been her, it could've been her, if everything was right in the world, it would've been Blink as the Fighting Spirit Champion...

...Then again..

The FIW World Tag Team Championships.

He's one to talk.

Is she still upset about that? After all this time? He didn't mean it like this...he simply was wrestling the match...He didn't want their then friendship to get in the way of that...

His mind is all over the place, even in the haze it's becoming, he knows he needs to calm down, he knows he needs to do something. Not the something he also feels he needs to do in regards to Blink, he's unable to do anything for her right now. She's gone...somewhere and she doesn't want him there, she wants to be alone, this is obvious...he should be able to respect that. It's hard, when one has the impression they're the reason she left & feel like they've done something wrong...

...But..

The Interstellar Insect comes to a stop at long last, he isn't sure where he is in the con, he's been too out of it to notice. He doesn't really care that much to be honest either, he's feeling drained, emotionally after the rapid series of emotions he's had. His thoughts are still kicking to and fro in his head like a wild sea storm, incapable of getting a hold on one set of thoughts & emotions for very long. It doesn't help that wherever he is, he's noticing quite a few of the Blink & Super Kamen Ranger cosplay couples.

Great.

He continues to wander, not looking where he's going...

Blink: I did it!

She proclaims proudly having returned to El Cuervo Blanco. The security guard was still keeping an eye on him when she returned and she was a little surprised to see him alone otherwise. But she can't worry about that, she;s excited! *delighted squeal*

Blink: I signed up with Lady Emily again! Isn't that great?

Yeah, great, didn't she just kick your ass to the curb? And what about Sarah? Wasn't she training you? Such a change of events. Blink is no longer wearing her mask as she wants to proudly display the redness on her cheek that isn't blush but what she would consider the stamp of approval.

Blink: I apologized for what I said to her and she forgave me! I just have to train nonstop for the next few days in order to make up for the back time I owe her.

Maybe she should focus a little more on breathing right now. There we go, take your shallow breaths to help calm yourself down.

Blink: [size0]She told me that she would allow me to take part again in her in-ter-me-di-ate level training if I won the tournament then defeated you for the title.

Blink smiles still taking in her deep breaths until finally realizing just how insensitive she's being here. Talking about winning a man's title away from him to his face with no remorse for his reign, clearly not how Blink wishes to re enter her relationship with Emily. That's why the bow, though really all I had to say was that she bows and you'd understand why.

Blink: [size0]I-I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like it would be an easy victory. I don't even mean to sound like it would be a hard victory. No! I-I mean I don't mean for it to sound like a victory for me at all. Wait...wait, no. I-I'll try, I'll try really hard. I also don't mean that I'm just going to defeat Lee. He's a nice man, I don't want to overlook him. Not that I should have to say that. Because I wouldn't!

Is Blink out of the hole? I kinda lost track. Her bow ends as she nervously looks back at the Fighting Spirit Champion, the man who took the title from her work. But she doesn't see him that way, instead she sees him as the champion, the one she's chasing after right now. So she smiles throwing her hand out.

Blink: [size0]I haven't con-gra-tu-la-ted you on a job well done yet. It was a good match.

Her smile becomes brighter, cheerier, Blinker as she holds her hand out for him to accept.

Blink: [size0]Um, also...have you seen K-Kun?

Has she only just noticed now? Man, those two are right for each other.

"Cocoon", Blink's boyfriend, greets El Cuervo Blanco. The man seems to know him, though the same cannot be said in return. His voice does sound familiar, though.

Cuervo, slumping his head deep into his shoulders, offers a sheepish wave to Cocoon, one finger bowing in step behind the next. Sheepish not because he doesn't know the guy -- well, yes, actually that's part of it, compounded by the fact that the guy seemingly knows him. The root of his embarrassed behavior is that Cuervo stands accused before Blink and her angry boyfriend, awaiting their wrath.

...Actually, he doesn't seem very angry at all. Rather cheerful, actually.

Well, all right then. But that still leaves the matter of the guard insinuating to Blink that Cuervo has been mentally violating her. And although it's quite likely he has done so in the past, he has had no such thought tonight. Right now, he prepares to defend what potential honor he may have, without so much as saying a word.

...Except she doesn't seem offended or bothered at all, save for dropping that smile she had a second ago.

The slight nod from Blink is enough to loosen the security guard's grasp on El Cuervo Blanco, but the vigilant Irishman still feels the need to stick around. Blink, however, does not stick around. And despite what she thinks, Cuervo does notice her going away, and lets off a sigh of relief as she does so.

He is, however, left alone with the mystery man, who is probably wondering right now why Cuervo has yet to speak a word to him. He rolls his hands, acting as if he has something to say, when Kamen also notices Blink's absence. Then he, too, leaves, but at least he's polite enough to expressively excuse himself.

Blink and Kamen have left Cuervo standing alone with the security guard once again. He turns around and looks back at the guard, wondering what's on his mind now.

Security: Hmph!

The guard picks up a walkie-talkie, and presses a button, causing it to emit a chirp.

Security: Aon intinn a íoc leis Kamen Ranger má fheiceann tú ag rith air. Má tharlaíonn tú a fheiceáil Iníon Madison, insint di sé ar lorg di. Thar.
[size0][Pay no mind to Kamen Ranger if you see him running. If you happen to see Miss Madison, tell her he's looking for her. Over.]

What the f*** was that?

Radio: ~~Cóip sin.~~

Evidently the security workers here are trained to speak Irish. Makes for good code, one might suppose. Cuervo has no training in the language himself, but he does pick up the words "Kamen Ranger" rather clearly.

So he's here, too? Cuervo supposes that's a good thing. He needs to track him down and tell him what he's decided concerning the Cibernetico invite. Although he'd rather not, Nuller has delegated the task to him.

Security: Ye be a lucky one, sonny boy. They haven't even bothered te check beneath ye mask.

Oh, crap. He's not going to try to take Cuervo's mask, is he?

The guard's body language indicates a maybe, but after further observation, Cuervo concludes that he is simply standing himself according to security procedure.

Security: Though I suppose they know ye, Cuerva. Ye owe the lady some more respect. If ye're going to be poking ye eyes through ye slacks, ye ought tae pick up one a them nudie mags she's posin' in.

Poking eyes? He was just trying to plan an approach to her. And now you blew it and scared them both off, you asshole.

Security: Whatever be the case... Knock it off! This convention is awkward enough without ye pointing ye prick about.

Pointing his prick about? At this point, Cuervo intends to drop the whole situation and go back to the BBBBQ kiosk. Actually, if not for his obligation to Rick and to FIW, he'd just leave the hall now; he didn' want to come here in the first place.

But hey, here comes Blink again, much more excited than earlier. Cuervo is surprised to see her this way. When she announces she made amends with Emily Stratfield, Cuervo offers a hesitant thumbs-up. It could be because of his nerves; a moment ago he was afraid of how Blink might react.

What's that on her face? Did she hurt herself? She's sure not acting like it.

Hm... This mood swing isn't the result of a concussion, is it?

As she pauses to focus on her breathing, the guard ducks in and informs Cuervo...

Security: I'll be keeping me eye on ye, whitey.

With that statement, he walks away and leaves the two alone. Cuervo finds his nerves winding down already.

Blink proceeds to talk about what must happen for her to receive her intermediate training, and Cuervo looks down at the belt wrapped around his upper abdomen. Oh, bother, he's been walking around the convention with that thing strapped on that high up? As if things weren't awkward enough. He quickly adjusts it to waist-level, where it belongs.

Then Blink begins to backpedal and bow to Cuervo. He simply tilts his head, and allows her to finish digging that hole. Not that he's at all offended that she's vying for another shot to win the title. She deserves it, after all. And as Nuller might remind him, title exchanges are "all part a' the ebb an' flow a' professional wrestlin'." As this thought runs through his head, he suddenly finds himself dreading less the fact that he needs to speak to Kamen Ranger.

Blink extends her hand, and Cuervo shakes it gladly. This honorable handshake provides her with a sense of the familiar.

Then she asks about Cocoon.

Whatever enthusiasm Cuervo had has diminished. But, out of politeness and respect, he points in the direction where Kamen Ranger had run off. He's not sure if it'll help, as he's completely out of sight, and it's been a while since he ran off.

As much as he would like to take advantage of this opportunity to apologize to her, he can think of no way to communicate it to her without speaking. And speaking is something he simply cannot do.
