What it is.

The scene opens up in a classic manager-wrestler side-by-side shot of "Big Country" Rick Nuller and El Cuervo Blanco cast against a simple white drywall back drop. Big Country: Allow me a moment to talk shop. Do what the man says. Big Country: I think Cuervo's greates' threat this Sunday is Sarah Twi-light. She's the wil' card. She hasn't been aroun' very lon', an' already she's makin' a scene. Cuervo nods in agreement. Big Country: In fact, between all the players, I think it's gonna be a real tough title defense for Cuervo once the time comes. But pardon my tangent, I need to talk to y'all about this match. El Cuervo folds his arms as Rick prepares to continue. Big Country: I also pay my respect to the only one poised to enter the ring as a former Dual Crown Champion. Keith Williams goes back further than I do in FIW, so people know him aroun' here. Some fear him. I don't. I jus' think he has a ten'ency to play dirty, which ain't all that much different than some a' the other folks I've been up agains'. Rick turns his head to look at his client for a moment. Big Country: Hey, Cuervo. You ever been up agains' someone who fought dirty before? Cuervo glares at Rick, rubbing a spot at the front of his head. It seems he has. Rick nods and turns back to the camera. Big Country: I think he can handle it. Now, it has come to my attention that Neo Carner might be goin' on over to the dark side. I'm here to remin' y'all, there's a black, an' there's a white, but everybody I know is somewhere in between. Not Cuervo, though. Cuervo is totally white. Hell, it's even in his name. Don't you even remember what "Blanco" means in English, Rick? Big Country: Neo is Neo. Sure, he can be an asshole at times, but he's a good kid at heart. I've had my share a' mistakes. Love 'im or hate 'im, he's one a' my friends in this business, an' I think Cuervo is up for a challenge. Cuervo rubs his palms together with anticipation. Big Country: An' Roy, well, I get the impression he's a bit misguided, or misunderstood. He did a good job winnin' the Fightin' Spirit belt with Douglas Greater's help. An' to be truthful, I ain't got much more to say about him. The quiet Big Country: Now, it looks like Cuervo will be paired once again with El Valiente an' Darren Hayes. The three a' them did some good work las' week, though admittedly Roy was fendin' by himself. I'd say they make a good team either way, even if it turns out Darren is the one fightin' Cuervo for the Fightin' Spirit after all's said an' done. Cuervo gives a thumbs-up. Big Country: Finally, we'll be joined by none other than Max Rowley, leavin' Darren the odd man out, what with him not havin' no mask to wear alon' with the others. Max is the steadiest man on the roster right now, let alone this match. I have good faith that he'll help pull through in the end. Cuervo is running out of unique gestures, so he just nods again. Big Country: Now, if any a' y'all have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email at Big Country Nuller at G-mail dot com. The actual address flashes on the screen. It's pretty much exactly as he said it. No underscores or hyphens or anything like that, though. Big Country: I'll be sure to get back to you sooner or later, but don't be disappointed if it takes me a while. I get a lot a' mail, an' no secretaries to sift it. But, if I don't hear from none a' y'all, I'll be sure to see you this Sunday at Revolt. With a tip of his hand, Rick flashes his signature smile. Big Country: It's certain to be a great show. The scene fades. |
