It doesn't work as Blink is still crying into her chest even more so now. But on the bright side she's no longer giving him the “thrashing of a lifetime” as she gives up on that letting her hand slide down his chest almost lifelessly before taking a step back. She doesn't bother attending to the tears already there because she knows more will just come along.

Blink: [size0]You don't make me happy?

That's what's been on her mind these past few moments? Relationships are new to Blink, letting out your feelings is new to Blink as well, so can you blame her for voicing the first thing that comes to mind? Of course it's generally always the wrong thing, but like Kamen Ranger she never intends for her messages to be construed in the bad way. It's probably the realization to this that causes her to smile a little. Even giggles some. Though that is by far the worst acting she's ever done.

Blink: [size0]N-Nevermind, K-Kun. I-I was...just joking. Of course I knew what you meant.

Again she tries pushing the smile and while it's not exactly a strain to her face it's still a lot of effort in its upkeep. But she doesn't have to worry about that for long as she looks like she just realizes something. Something that has to do with the fourway they're not too far away from. Blink rushes up the few feet to the lights turning back toward Kamen Ranger smiling a little easier now because she's found something she can focus on powerful enough to have her ignore the current problems. But they weren't problems, apparently, they were just a bunch of jokes told between friends.

Blink: [size0]Lady Emily just told me to train my ears. I hope that's okay, K-Kun. I...I really don't wanna upset her again.

Blink closes her eyes and begins to listen to the traffic going by. I suppose the method of this training is to guess what type of vehicle is passing by only by the noise it makes. Though that's not what Blink s thinking about, she's neglecting this training exercise to visit Blinkland again where she's not the side character, but the supporting actress.

She's on the moon again standing on the balcony of a crystal palace as she looks up into the sky toward Earth as it slowly turns in front of her. In her hand she holds a glass of sparkling water, with a hint of lime, as she wears a glittering dress embedded with shimmering emeralds. She takes a calm sip when she feels a hand resting on top of hers. A white gloved hand and she turns with a smile toward its owner pleased to find it to be her boyfriend wearing a black tuxedo and white domino mask. She turns into him throwing her arms up over his shoulders leaning in for a kiss. But there is no kiss and there is no boyfriend. In fact there is no moon or crystal palace as Blink quickly finds herself in darkness. It's a comforting darkness at first that Blink doesn't notice at first though when she does she begins to panic. Gone are the emeralds and sparkling water with a hint of lime. Gone is everything and she can't understand why. She calls out for someone, anyone to come help her but no words escape her throat so she keeps trying not willing to give up. She stands her ground and takes a deep breath. Of what, she doesn't care, she just needs to yell.

Blink: Please don't leave!

She shouts suddenly at Kamen Ranger in the moment where fantasy and reality mix, where she says what she means to say elsewhere. But it was here and Blink opens her eyes suddenly with a look of surprise in herself. This fades into a blush as she rests her arm over her stomach gripping hold of her other arm bashfully.

Blink: [size0]I-I mean...was it a car?

When the crying doesn't stop his heart sinks, wondering why she's still crying after he clarified to her what he meant. Does she not believe him in what he's telling her, does she think he's lying to her to try to comfort her and make her stop crying? While it's true he'd like her to stop crying and he's trying his best to comfort her, he isn't lying to her, he's trying to explain himself to her. He wants her to understand so that there isn't any need for these tears, there isn't any need for any worry.

When she takes a step back, he thinks maybe there's hope...too bad that hope is immediately crushed by Blink. What she says to him, he isn't sure how he should take it and he looks a little surprised by what is coming out of her mouth. It's a little hard for him to understand if she's asking him...or she's telling him, he's hoping the former if either. Since if it's that, he can reassure he didn't men that either but if it's the latter...well...that's some hard news for him to swallow.

It's made all the more confusing for him when she smiles and she takes it a step further, she giggles somewhat. He doesn't know if she's laughing at the question or if she's laughing at him or maybe she's finally been broken under all the strain, she's lost it. Kamen frowns a little, trying to make some sense of it when she lies to him and she tries to reassure him that she's joking & she knew what he meant. One of the worst things in the world for him is to think she's lying to him but...he can't help it, the facts are making it look likely.

Off she goes before he gets the chance to say anything and he's following behind her, trying to catch up to her. Not that it takes long for him to, she's only going as far as the inter-section they are near and she stops there, revealing why she's stopped. This is training, training for her ears; Skull's had him do similar exercises before though never in something so uncontained as this setting is. He nods and shrugs though, letting her know that it's fine by him if she trains her ears, he doesn't mind at all.

Minutes tick by with the two of them standing there, he doesn't mind, he's content watching her as odd as that might sound. Skull's more of a people watcher than he is but Kamen, from what he can tell, seems to enjoy doing it when he does more than Skull does. For Skull, it's merely another tool to his arsenal, for Kamen, it's a way to learn something and observe the behaviors of various different kinds of people. So for him, this is fine, he's watching Blink, watching how she reacts to this situation that's she placed herself in, training for her matches.

Then she shouts right in his face about not leaving her and it makes him pull his head back instinctively. He wants to clasp his hands over his ears but he's wearing a mask, and so he's unable to do that to help spare him the full blunt of the yell. It's made all the worse because of all the training he's undergoes to make his ears more sensitive than usual to sounds and noises. The way the sound vibrates in his ears, he feels like they're going to crack into pieces any second now right in front of Blink.

Once it really hits him what she said, his blush is matching hers and he blinks a few times at her though she's unable to see it. Blink's thinking he's going to leave her? Kamen knows she's had some fears about stuff like this but he didn't think it was something she actively worried about, like, every time they hung out. Unless this is still a hang up from a moment ago, something she tried to sweep underneath the rug. He's thinking that might be the case.

What little distance divides them he rids for them by walking closer to her and he kisses her as passionately as he can. His hands grab her by her hips and they use her hips to pull her body in closer for the kiss, pressing their bodies against each other. It's by far the fieriest kiss he's given the Hellcat, going beyond the innocent ones he's given her up until this point and it slips a little further. There's a hint that he might be slipping the Bad Girl tongue, which if he is, for a guy that's never done it before he's at least not slopping on her.

SKR: Natsu-chan.

The Inter-Galactic Hero practically has to pry himself off of her, it seems like he doesn't even want to stop kissing her. But he's got something he has to do and so he breaks the kiss, he's staring into her hazel eyes and he's got something of a serious expression on his visible features. His voice is equally serious, with a hint of tenderness to it that it usually has when he's talking to her and he's around her. He wants her undivided attention and with how close he's still holding her to him, chances are she can't look elsewhere.

SKR: I didn't mean that I make you unhappy, I hope I make you happy and I'd like to think I do most of the time. However I like that you have someone else that makes you happy too, you deserve as much happiness as you can get.

He shakes his head; he doesn't like to assume anything, especially anything if it is relating to Summer Madison. But he thinks he makes her happy, she typically seems like she is since they started dating, and he knows a few times he's made her happy. One occasion she seemed very happy, albeit that had been something of her own doing more than it had been his doing. Though it is he also likes that she's got someone else that can make her happy, in the same way that he can make her happy.

SKR: You are the first girl I ever kissed, you are the first girl I've dated, you are the first girl I've ever had sex with and I'm not going to leave you. I care about you too much to ever leave you.

The blush is returning to him and he has to look downward a little more when he's admitting these things to her. It's probably been obvious to her, considering what he said before but he feels like he should make it officially known to her. She's managed to claim alot of his firsts and he doesn't see why she can't claim more for years to come. He's happy, he thinks she's happy, he cares about her, she cares about him, and what else do they really need besides that?

SKR: I want to protect you, I want to protect your kindness and your happiness, and everything that makes you who you are. I want to be in your life and I want you to be in mine. I want you, basically. Because I love you, Natsu-chan, I love you, Summer Madison.

To have come this far, Kamen isn't going to chicken out now, even if maybe it's him being so emotional talking there. His voice conveys how much conviction he has to protect Blink and how much he wants them to stay in each other's lives. There's a brief moment where he blushes a little again and he stammers ever so slightly when he admits to wanting her, thinking how she might take that to mean. However there is no embarrassment or blush when he says those three little words he almost said earlier to her, those three little words that sum up his feelings. He loves her.

Blink stands there feeling a little stunned. He...loves her? Her eyes lower to the ground. He...loves her? Blink swallows the dry lump in her throat. He... ... ...loves her? Her eyes rest back on Kamen Ranger.

Blink: [size0]You...love me?

Yes, he loves you. How many times are we gonna go through th—uh-oh, why is she furrowing her brow?

Blink: You love me? Who the hell are you to love me?

What? D-didn't you feel the kiss? The one where Kamen Ranger practically raped your mouth with? We have witnesses, all willing to accept five hundred bucks to testify against you, buddy. Oh, you're going away for a long time.

Blink: What? Were you actually expecting me to respond in kind? “I love you, K-Kun, please marry me.”

She says in an overly fake romantic tone of voice before batting her lashes sweetly. Is her timid and nervous outlook just a facade?

Blink: Pfft, I bet you would expect me to say something like that, wouldn't you? You're sweet and cuddlesome little Blinky. Natsu-chan, or whatever. Well guess what, K-Kun, I'm tired of being everyones little doormat. The pink haired girl everyone thinks they can just walk all over.

“Sorry for not getting all of the mud off” is what it would say.

Blink: Like Lee!

Timeline, Lee's promo doesn't exist yet. His promo is just a dream. But this is also closer to the beginning of last week. I like these lengthy promos, don't you?

Blink: Probably thinks that because he's a friend that I'm just going to let him through me. That if he asks I'll willingly get up on the stretcher and let him wheel me to the line. Ha! To avoid the proper ass kicking he should lie on the stretcher and wheel himself down to that line. I'll just be standing in the ring watching and waving my hand 'cause that little [size0]...um...something bad will be next!

Blink begins a boastful laugh before noticing Kamen Ranger still standing there and the furrowed brow returns.

Blink: Don't you have more im-por...more better things to do with your time than stand around and listen to me insult my friends? Or are you waiting, waiting for me to say...

Quick peck on the lips.

Blink: [size0]I love you too, K-Kun.

No mocking laughter, no insulting tone...this could be for real. Blink smiles, but it's her usual pleasant smile as she takes a couple of steps back feeling a certain blush on her cheeks.

Blink: [size0]Did I get you?

Before Kamen Ranger has a chance to respond, Blink gasps and bows.

Blink: I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset you if I did...I-it's just...I don't know. I'm also sorry to Lee and Miss. Sarah. [size0]I'll make it up, I promise.

I don't think that was directed solely toward Kamen Ranger but instead toward Lee and Sarah as well. We've already seen the payback for Sarah as Blink didn't force her to meet with Catherine, even though it's one of the things she's been going on about for the past little while now. Lee? Maybe she'll actually do another promo just for the match. Or train. Yeah, she'd most likely up her training so that he could get her at her best and not one whose mind is on romantic endeavours.

The look on Blink's face isn't one that comes unexpected for Kamen, he figured something like it would be her reaction. It isn't everyday someone tells you they love you, even if that someone's got a boyfriend & a girlfriend in their everyday life. Her eyes look away from him, they're staring down at the ground and she swallows before she repeats, in a sense, what he told her, he loves her. He gives a nod, one he's sure she can't see because she's looking down though he wants to make sure just in case she can.

Then her brow furrows, and then she says something that catches him off guard, enough to let his hands slip from her hips. Of all the scenarios that played out in his mind, of all the Blinks and all of their reactions to him saying those words, this wasn't one of them. He hadn't expected offense, anger, and disgust at what he's told the Bad Girl, at what he's told his girlfriend about how he feels about her. Not even in the scenario where the two of them were back to back on Planet Heiwa, battling the evil empire did he ever expect this to be her reaction.

...This has to be a joke, right, one big joke like Blink loves playing so much, right, she isn't serious, right? It's all that keeps rushing through his head, trying to convince himself that he believes this to be fake; this is another one of her odd jokes. It's easier to handle than the alternative, what seems like the reality, this is the truth and she means every hurtful word she is saying to him right now. The way she is mocking his proclamation and she is mocking the thought of her saying the same back to him, and more.

...

...No...

He can't run away from this, he can't ignore this, he can't deny this, if this is how she feels...how she really feels, he must face it. Kamen's got to accept it and he's got to learn to live with this fact, it's what it means to truly feel what he told her a moment ago. Even if she doesn't feel the same, even if this is her reaction, he must accept it and continue his life whatever way he can, and let her continue her own. Her happiness is what matters to him, if it is away from him and with another...despite how nice the past few weeks have been...he'll learn to accept it.

The Inter-Galactic Hero does one of the things he's very good at, he listens, he listens to everything else Blink has to say. How she is no longer going to be a doormat, even if it makes him feel bad and he wonders if she thought that's how he treated her too. He certainly hopes that's not the case, he actively tried to treat her better than how most are willing to treat her when they're aware of her general nature. Though maybe he had been treating her that way or started to and he hadn't realized it...it could be what's set her off...

Things get harder to sit by and listen to when Blink starts in about Lee Mason, someone who is something of a friend to them both. It's one thing to go at him, he's right here; it's another thing to go off like this about a guy that's not even here to defend himself. This is a guy that's not even really done anything to provoke such a reaction out of Blink and she's going at it like it's a Roast. Kamen wants to say something, stand up for his team mate and friend but he bites his tongue, waiting for her to finish.

Well on the bright side Blink stops insulting Lee soon enough, on the down side she's back to insulting him. Kamen feels a little embarrassed when she throws it in his masked face that he's been standing here, listening to her the entire time. His fingers fidget and they poke at one another, trying to formulate how he'll respond to such a remark from his...whatever Blink is now. How to tell her, how to explain to her why he stood here and listened to everything she had to say...

Blink kisses him.

This action in of itself catches him so off guard he barely realizes what it is she's said to him, least at first he doesn't. Once his mind has a moment to function & register he's been kissed and she's said I love you back to him, he grins one of the biggest grins he's ever grinned. Sure, he's pretty confused but he's slowly piecing everything together and he's got a good idea of where this is going with the way she's acting. The smile and the blushing, how sincere she is now sounding, as crazy as it sounds...she confirms his theory for him, almost making him laugh.

SKR: Yeah, you did.

There is so much relief in finding out he wasn't being in denial, he had been right, she had been joking this entire time. She certainly loves those jokes that throw him from one extreme to the next, maybe it's to let him know how she feels so often. Since it seems like his girlfriend is often going from one extreme in the emotional spectrum to the next, triggered by the tiniest of things. Regardless, he isn't sure if he wants to cry or if he wants to laugh with how relieved he's feeling to find out it's been a joke.

Maybe both.

SKR: Don't worry about it. It was only a joke afterall.

Kamen shakes his head and he's smiling at Blink's succession of apologies and promises to make it up to Lee, Sarah and himself. He doesn't care if she does, he doesn't care if she apologizes for it, everything's good in the hood for the masked man at this point. So much so that he's already forgotten they had been on something of a walk before Blink stopped them to change the subject & focus on some kind of training. Not that he minds, he's content standing in the middle of the sidewalk and simply having a conversation with Blink, as strange of looks as they are getting from people passing by for it.

Kamen Ranger seems to be alright with it, but Blink still seems a little upset by by her actions, tone, and words used. Even when it's just a joke she can't fully get behind herself being like that. So when she straightens from the bow she still keeps that timid look about her as her eyes shift toward the road watching as vehicles pass by along with pedestrians looking to use the crosswalk. After a long while Blink finally comes to life looking back at Kamen Ranger with a half hearted smile, which is about as much as she can give right now.

Blink: [size0]I don't...I don't feeling like training anymore...K-Kun.

What? But training is your life! How can you just no longer feeling like doing it anymore? Wait, wait, this is a new form of training, right? Give training the whole “meh” treatment and that way you have to train extra hard in order to compensate. That's it, isn't it? That stupid joke didn't affect you that much, did it?

Blink: [size0]I think I want to just go back to my dressing room.

Just like wanting to come out here in the first place, Blink makes the sudden decision to go somewhere. Perhaps unfortunately this somewhere is right back to where they were just a few moments ago. Along the way Blink seems awfully silent as though fearing that saying anything will only further make her out to be some jackass woman. So she just walks alongside her boyfriend not even thinking about clutching herself to his arm this time but instead just hug herself for whatever warmth she feels she can give right now.

Kamen's hoping that Blink is going to be back to something close to her old self...yet that doesn't happen this time around. She doesn't bounce back from bowing and apologizing to him like she usually does, she instead looks like it's still bothering her. The Bad Girl looks like she's unsure of herself, unsure if she's going to lash out and act that way again like now that she's done it once, she'll do it again. It isn't like being a jerk is some kind of drug that people are able to get addicted to...least to Kamen's knowledge on the matter.

SKR: ...Oh.

That's all he has to say for himself when Blink drops the bomb that's so big it stuns him initially when he hears it. Blink, his girlfriend, she’s the wrestler that's always trying to find ways to be training, even when she's doing other things...and she doesn't want to train. It doesn't make any sense, it's like somebody pointed out to him that the sky happened to be a lovely shade of purple or yellow today. What is going on with Blink is the only thing he can muster any thought towards as he's watching her.

Off she goes after telling him where she wants to go and he's quick to follow after her, having to shuffle a little to do so. She doesn't get much of a head start on him but it's enough for him to have to do some leg work at first to get to where he's side by side with her. Every few steps he glances back over at her, checking on her and trying to get an idea of how she's feeling & what's going through her head. He doesn't get as much as he'd like from these gazes, only seeing that she's hugging herself tight, looking upset about what's transpired still.

It's while they're walking back to the arena in silence that something strikes him, something that's been on his mind alot. It's something he's been meaning to ask Blink for some time now, the night it happened ending in a way that didn't allow him to pry much about it. Then at the Con he had meant to ask but she disappeared on him and he could never find her again after that little act of hers. Any potential for him to think of it before now's been cut off at the legs by the series of events they've been experiencing. Now's his chance though.

SKR: I had been meaning to ask you, Natsu-chan...what did that guy want that kidnapped you and tried to kidnap me too? Who was he?

The Inter-Galactic Hero looks over at Blink, looking for the answers to that night that still confuses him a little more than he'd like. All he knows is that some crazy guy with a sword had kidnapped Blink and he had tried to kidnap him too though he doesn't know why. He doesn't know that he had been trying to get Blink to spill the beans on alot of the information she knows about her boyfriend. The masked man also doesn't know that her captor had been a Kamen Ranger himself at one point, before Skull got a hold of him.

His tone is a cheerful but inquisitive one, reflecting how he's feeling currently and how he feels about what he's asking. Kamen feels bad she's so upset though he's personally fine right now and he's hoping maybe seeing him be okay will help her be okay too. Also he's simply curious about it; he doesn't like being left in the dark, especially when it's a situation like this that's his fault, according to what Archie said. He'd like to know for future reference, both in regards to that guy and possibly anybody else that might use the same reasoning to try to get to him through Blink.

Blink doesn't have to think on it long and her mood doesn't exactly change either. Being reminded of her kidnapping and nearly dying doesn't offer much to make her smile and hearing Kamen Ranger sound so cheerfully about it...Blink's not one to wish she could tell people to shut up, but certainly making light of a situation where she was screaming and being yelled is something where one would like to punch that insect in the face. Again, that's not Blink's style in any way so her fist doesn't even clench up. She just stops and thinks, but all she can think about is the blond haired maid still there. She's still there but Blink certainly wishes otherwise.

Blink: Miss. Amelia...

Did Kamen Ranger hear that? Blink certainly believes so as she quickly comes to as a flash of other details quickly come to her, though nothing too in depth as she didn't exactly commit the entire meeting to memory.

Blink: [size0]I'm sorry, I don't remember his name...it started with a C, I think. Sounded almost like a car name. I also don't remember what they wanted either...just information about you. Your name and what you looked like.

Now Blink really comes to life as she turns toward her boyfriend bowing quickly.

Blink: I'm sorry! I didn't tell them anything, I swear! If you talk to Skull about it, please tell him I didn't say anything.

She almost sounds as though she's fearing for her life. Makes sense given how their meetings generally go. Blink eventually comes out of her bow still looking rather timid about everything that's gone on and even more so about the possibility of Skull coming at her over the possibility of her telling them things she shouldn't have.

Blink: [size0]That's all I remember, I'm really sorry.

She does recall there was a speech but it was so full of details she didn't understand that she could commit nothing to memory. Maybe if she had a little more time she might remember a thing or two about it.

Blink: [size0]Anyway, I really do want to get back to the dressing room. There's something there I forgot to give you earlier.

Give? Like...a present? What could it be?

There's no change in Blink's demeanor, still looking timid, still looking upset, it's a little worrisome for him. When he asks the question, he could swear he sees something else try to inch it's way into her body language though nothing ever comes from it. She merely stops and she is thinking about his question for a moment, hopefully giving him all of the answers he is seeking about that night. He wishes there is something he could do to help cheer her up, help her out of the funk it seems like she's in.

An answer doesn't come immediately but there is something said after several seconds though it doesn't make anything clearer for him. His girlfriend says a name, a woman's name to be specific and he's about as puzzled by it as one is capable of getting. What importance does that name hold, who is that person and why is she the first thing that comes to mind for his girlfriend when asked about that situation? He tries to think back...he's pretty sure the guy dragging that sword beside him was a dude, even if he had longish hair, so it can't be him.

She doesn't give him alot of time to dwell on this Amelia; she's too busy feeding him information from what she can remember. Kamen nods his head a few times; understanding that she doesn't have a flawless memory, she's only human and so some of the details are sketchy for her. Still, she manages to give him some idea of the man's name or potential alias and she lets him know what it is he wanted specifically from her about him. It's a start, he can do some legwork and maybe manage to piece together everything else on his own, it isn't like Skull's the only one who can do research.

Before he gets a chance to think much on that, Blink turns around & starts bowing to him and apologizing again. It catches him off guard, surprised she feels she is in need of clarifying that she told them nothing about him in regards to what they wanted. That's a positive of dating somebody as naive and trusting as him, he instantly believed she would never tell them anything about him that they wanted. It's why he had been willing to share that knowledge with her in the first place, the trust he had in her to keep his secrets safe from others.

The fear she's showing is extremely worrisome but there's something else that catches Kamen's attention about what she says to him. It could be she's talking about in regards to simply her saying anything about his secrets in general but the phrasing, it grabs him. The way she makes it sound, he can't help but feel like Skull's aware of that situation and he's potentially aware of who the man is that did this. If that's the case, why didn't he bother to let Kamen know who it is, so they can be better prepared in case there's a next time? Skull's the one that's always all about knowing one's enemy and securing the gates if an enemy comes calling.

SKR: No, no, please don't apologize, it's fine. You've given me more than enough, thank you, I really appreciates it, Natsu-chan.

The Inter-Galactic Hero bows his head to his girlfriend now and he shakes it when he stands back up straight. His voice conveys how bad he feels that she's getting so worked up, looking even worse than she did before he bothered to ask the question. There's definitely a change in her demeanor but it's going in the opposite direction of where he had been trying to send it with his light hearted demeanor. He hadn't expected this question to drum up so much for her, maybe he should've thought about it more before he opened his mouth & asked.

His concern is turned into confusion when Blink brings up the dressing room again, and then reveals there's something there for him. The masked man tilts his head to the side a little, trying to see if she's messing with him or if she's being serious about something being back there. If so, it's interesting and it has him curious as to what it could be, what treasure awaits them back in the Bad Girls dressing room. So he scurries along beside her, enjoying the walk back to the arena & to her dressing room for as long as it's able to last for them.

It is a bit of a walk, though boring as the scenery is the exact same from before as all they're doing is going back to the arena. Blink is still quiet and she still looks a little on the nervous side the entire way doing the whole Kamen Ranger finger thing as various scenarios begin playing out in her mind.

SKR: The hell is this crap?

No, not a possibility. Kamen Ranger has a better command of the English language to be sounding like Catherine.

SKR: It's nice, but...uh, don't I already have some?

That's a fear Blink has as while she enjoys giving people presents she doesn't know if they will already have what she's giving them. What's worse is that this is the most likely possibility because Blink knows he already has one of these. Several, in fact. Maybe Blink shouldn't have mentioned she got him something, maybe she should've just left it there in the box allowing it to collect dust both physically and mentally. But it's out there now so Blink has no choice but to give it to him. Though it could be something else, something that shows she cares. But nothing comes to mind that's already wrapped. There's Lucas' present, but what good would that do Kamen Ranger? It just wouldn't have the same meaning as giving Lucas Kamen Ranger's gift. So with a deep sigh, Blink continues walking with the same troubled expression.

It doesn't take Blink very long to find the present meant for Kamen Ranger as she has it lying out by the small box wrapped in rainbow paper with the blue ribbon/bow combo. Blink eyes that one too with Kamen Ranger's in hand worried that the receiver of that gift might not like it either. That one she can avoid giving, but would that be very nice? Most likely not.

Kamen Ranger's gift looks to be in a clothing box. It's wrapped in white paper with a green ribbon wrapped around it and a red bow on top. It looks professionally done so either gift wrapping is another skill Blink has acquired or she went to the wrapping counter to have it done. There's also a tag, though it's not really necessary as Blink is the one giving it to Kamen Ranger to open now. Unless you like seeing the fact that it says “To K-Kun. Love, Summer”.

Blink: [size0]Um...here you go, K-Kun. I hope you don't mind it. I was waiting to give it to you in a couple of weeks, but you might need it now.

She holds out the present still looking nervous as she awaits judgement of it.

The scenery may be the same as before but Kamen's such a disgustingly nice person that he enjoys it regardless. It's just how he is, he enjoys taking in the sights & sounds of mankind, watching what people have built out of their lives & put their energy into. Somebody built the buildings they're walking past, someone bought them and they've made their business there for however many years they've been there. He's sure some of the buildings have seen several owners, each other unique and with their own story to tell, if a building could talk about such things.

It takes a while but soon they are back in the arena and now they're going through a familiar path in the backstage area. The doors they pass are equally familiar, having walked past them already and eventually they stop at the door he's seen multiple times today. He waits for the few seconds it takes for Blink to unlock the door and into the Bad Girls dressing room they go again, back where they started. The masked man watches Blink switch the lights on, and then she goes to the task of getting whatever it is she has waiting for him here.

When she turns back around, she's looking incredibly nervous about the gift that's sitting in her hands. He eyes it and it makes the smile on his face grow larger when he sees the wrapping job on the box, how professionally done it looks. It might be assuming on his part but it wouldn't surprise him at all if one of the skills Blink knows is wrapping gifts. It seems like one of those things that she might've been taught as a child growing up by what little she's told him about her parents.

He tilts his head to the side a little when she speaks up about it, and he carefully takes the box from her, and he begins unwrapping it. It could be because he thinks it is Blink's wrapping or it could be because he's a goof like this but he takes his time with unwrapping it. He's careful to gently untie the bow and remove it, and then he pulls at where the wrapping is taped together, so the wrapping paper isn't destroyed. In reality, it's because someone put so much time and effort into making it look pretty for him...he'd feel bad just ripping it to shreds.

Eventually the box is completely unwrapped and he opens it, trying to get as quickly of a look inside as he can. It can't be seen because of his mask but his eyes grow huge when he sees what's waiting for him inside of the box, the gift Blink's gotten him. What can be seen however is the way his smile morphs from one into a gigantic grin that threatens to swallow his entire visible face up in it. He reaches into the box as he's setting it down and he pulls out the wonderful scarf that's waiting for him inside of it.

SKR: [I love it!]

Why are there subtitles suddenly? It's probably because this is the most excited Kamen's been in a very long time and he's by accident slipped into his native tongue. This is the first gift he's gotten in a very long time and it's from somebody that's important to him, and that he cares about a whole lot. Skull, for as much as Kamen respects and loves him like a father, isn't exactly the gift giving type of guy even for those he's close to. So that's why there are a few drops of tears that run down from his eyes and down into the area of his face that's exposed, making them visible to Blink.

SKR: Thank you!

He almost shouts it at the Bad Girl he's still so overwhelmed and he nearly tackles her when he hugs her. Kamen holds her close to him, almost as close as his hand's holding the scarf to it, her boyfriend's head burying into her shoulder. There are a few more tears that run down and dampen her shoulder before he notices and he lifts his head a little. From her shoulder he admires the scarf that he's holding behind her some more, the gift meaning more to him than she probably knows.

Blink is quickly caught unaware from Kamen Ranger's response to her present when he hugs her so it ends up luckily being his own strength that keeps the two from toppling over. Blinks only response in this is to take the hug at first before patting her boyfriends back a couple of times. To anyone else this would just be a scarf but to Blink it's a sign of accomplishment. Well, accomplishment would be a bit of a stretch in terms since there's another reason entirely on why she felt so nervous about giving it to him. Once the embrace ends Blink stands there resting her hands in front of her timidly.

Blink: [size0]I hope it helps you well. I just don't want you catching a cold during your patrols.

By this she's referring to the red wool material that's been hand knitted to form the scarf. However it's a lot thinner in some areas than the rest as this is Blink's first real attempt at making a scarf. Or just knitting in general! But what's up with the white strip running from one end down to the other in the middle that looks to have been awkwardly cut as well?

Blink: [size0]I hope you don't mind the stripe...I...I cut it from the dress I wore on our first date. J-Just from the middle! The dress isn't ruined or anything.

Would that have been a problem for Kamen Ranger to deal with? Unfortunately Blink seems to think so as she lets out a sift sigh. So that explains the material, the red colour we can just assume is because we've often seen him in a red one before, and the white stripe. That just leaves the fabric hearts dangling at the end. It's, uh, it's a nice touch...but...seeing them causes Blink to blush a little.

Blink: [size0]Those hearts...

The Bad Girl begins before suddenly growing silent again while the redness to her face intensifies slowly. In the end it all goes away when she looks back at Kamen Ranger with a look of desperation in her eyes.

Blink: [size0]Just...just keep coming back from your patrols safely, okay?

And that certainly explains the hearts. The expression loses it's effect as her eyes once more drift downward.

Blink: [size0]I'm sorry for yelling, K-Kun. I just don't know what I'd do if...

Such a scary thought to her, Blink doesn't even want to think about saying it or just think about it in general.

Blink: Oh!

[i[Luckily for her something comes quickly to mind and she quickly bows closing her eyes.[/i]

Blink: [size0]You're welcome.

She looks back up smiling, finally smiling. However, one can't help but shake the fact that she still looks worried. The thought of something bad happening to him still lingering in her mind especially with everything that's gone on thus far. Being reminded of Chevalier being a huge concern for her. And not only that, the business the two of them are in right now offers its own huge risk of injury. So even if it's one of the better smiles Kamen Ranger has seen from his girlfriend recently, there's still obvious large amounts of room for improvement.

The pats on the back are nice, welcomed even though Kamen's less welcoming of Blink pulling away from the hug. Not that he minds, it's just that he enjoys hugging Blink and he doesn't like it when their hugs have to end so quickly after they started. But all good things must come to an end and so he accepts the passing of their hug, it had been pleasant, not the best hug they've ever had though. That's mostly because Blink didn't really hug him back, oh hey, Blink's talking, time to pay attention to that.

The Bad Girl's words make a slight pink hue flush across his face, he hadn't thought about that, he just really likes scarves and likes this one especially. Why this one especially should be obvious, it's because he's been made by Blink, well, and he likes how it looks. It's sweet that she put so much thought into what she's made for him, giving him a gift she didn't need to in the first place, with a real purpose behind her choice. He hadn't really thought about it but after looking it over once more, she's right, it should help him avoid catching a cold during these winter patrols.

He's surprised when she reveals what the white stripe is, not having picked up on what it had once been apart of. Then there's a hint of worry to his features, wondering if she ruined her dress she wore that day in order to put this strip of it on the scarf. While it's a sweet sentiment, he wouldn't want her to destroy something of hers, and something that's so beautiful, in order to make something for him. Luckily she disperses any fears he has about that by assuring him the dress is fine, she only took what she needed from it to make the stripe.

Soon Blink's blushing worse than him and he's wondering why till she speaks up again, making mention of the hearts. It's then that he glances back down at them and he blushes a little more, thinking he knows where this is going and why they're there. The thought does make him feel a little bad for even doubting a tiny bit that she could be unhappy with their relationship, if this is representation of how she feels. Sometimes he can be an idiot, thinking there's even a chance, being upset earlier with her decision, and she's gone through the effort to make him this.

His eyes come back to the form of the pink haired girl that's standing before him when she makes a request. Kamen hadn't expected that, he hadn't ever really thought of that, funny, he has been doing this for years now and it never crossed his mind. He never once thought he could get harmed, or worse, sure he gets a little banged up but that's part of the job, part of anything that physically demanding really. But he always assumed, with the training he's been given, with Skull by his side on these patrols, he'd always be fine, he'd always be okay.

Fantasy.

It had been his fantasy.

Reality.

She's thinking of a very potential reality.

The masked man's head lowers again to look down at the scarf, maybe he's been naive, and maybe he should've seen the dangers before now. This isn't like a television show or a comic book, where the hero is always safe by the end of the tale that's told. He very well could be hurt one night on patrol, he very well could be killed even one night on patrol, and it doesn't even need to be anyone skilled. Some thug could get lucky and that's it, game over, life over, no more days spent training, spent with Skull, spent with Blink...only darkness.

Maybe this wouldn't be hitting him as hard as it is if it wasn't for how panicked she looked for the moment their eyes met. Her worry, her concern, it transfers over to him and it makes him really think and try to really face the reality of what it is he does almost every night. He doesn't know if he'd stop if he could but he doesn't have that luxury, somebody has to do it, and that somebody is him as far as he's concerned. If anything, this is making his resolve to do it all the stronger, save those that need it, right wrongs, and come back to his girlfriend in one piece.

Blink gets a chuckle out of her boyfriend when she apologizes for yelling, it's soft and it's weak but it's there. She would think she's yelling at him, and she's probably the only person in the entire world who would think she had been yelling at him. It's almost amusing enough to not dwell on what else she says; confirming her fears of what she suspects could befall him during his night patrols. He can't help but feel a little guilty, wondering how often she worries about that when he isn't around her.

The Inter-Galactic Hero looks back up at the Bad Girl when she smiles & she lets him know he's welcome, smiling back at her. He closes the gap between them again and he looks down into her eyes, those wonderfully hazel eyes, showing their worry for him. Funny, he's spent so much time worrying about her; he never really thought much of the concept that she's been worrying about him too. Everybody needs somebody to look out for them, least sometimes, maybe that's what they can do for each other.

He watches her back, she watches his.

SKR: Don't worry, Natsu-chan. Truth and justice have always protected me before and now...

His head tilts downward, due to his eyes from behind his mask looking down at the scarf that's in his hands. More specifically, he's looking down at the hearts that have been stitched into it, focusing on what they mean, what they are to Blink. His grasp on the scarf tightens a little, to have a more firm hold on it though avoiding an iron grip. He looks back up at her, once more staring into those hazel eyes, the same eyes he's looked into a hundred times & hopes he'll stare into a billion more times.

SKR: [size0]I have your love guarding me.

It's a whisper though that's not much of an issue with how close they are to each other when he says it. There's a bashful smile when he says the last part, still new to saying things like that, being able to talk about one's love for him. Now every night he'll feel her with him, watching over him, making sure that he comes back in one piece after each patrol. That's the greatest gift of all, in his opinion.

Still doesn't change the fact that he has to come up with something for her.
