The scene opens up once again with a broken camera in front of a roaring fire... for one of Uncle Archie's fireside chats... what? Anyone Archibald sits stoically in front of the fire in his high backed chairs lost in thought, after a few boring moments of him just sitting there he just begins speaking. Archibald P. Leatherby: I am not a stupid man, I know that I currently have a negative chance of winning this tournament. But that doesn't mean that I am going to give up and die. The gentlemanly thing to do about it would be to go out there and preform my duties to the best of my ability regardless of winning or losing. Which means that Mr. Hayes better be ready for a scrape or he shall receive the thrashing of a lifetime. Archibald takes a breathe Archibald P. Leatherby: With that out of the way, I am coming to realize the world may be a different place than when my heroes laced up their boots and maybe their old fashioned techniques are considered laughable now... but confound it they are classic maneuvers for a reason, they work. If I can't prove that even once in this tournament what's the use of even continuing this endeavor. Shackleford enters the room. Shackleford: Sir, it's time. Archibald P. Leatherby: Very good... I believe I must think more on this at a later date... there is gentlemanly work to be done. Archibald gets out of his chair and grabs his top hat off the nearby table, and walks out of the frame as the scene fades. |
