Toby Bostock is backstage with none other than the Scion of Sin himself, Freakshow. The green haired Mouth from Mobile looks smug, Toby (as usual) looks a little nervous, and hell, let's just get to the talking.

"Hey there, FIW Fans, it's Toby Bostock coming to you with one of our favorite superstars, Freakshow!"

Freakshow cocks an eyebrow, regarding Toby like a parent when they know their kid is floundering a little but is going to let them flounder as a teachable moment.

"And we're going to get some answers this week on a few hot topics that have sprung up around him..."

"Just ask the questions, kid. Yer not a news anchor." Freakshow cuts Toby off before he can get long winded.

"...Er...right, so Freakshow, I guess the big question is what you're going to do about Zombie Black being back with the Federation. You just got out of a long feud with Jericho Cruz, Zombie's former tag partner. Is there any bad blood between you and Black?"

Freakshow smirks.

"Listen, bub, Cruz was just a stain that needed washed out of the federation's underpants. Out with the old and in with the new, y'know? I don't hate the guy, never will, but when you've newly gotten a title like Scion of Sin, you need to drum out anyone who's ever laid claim to that title."

Toby's not quite following.

"So Zombie's on your hitlist?"

That's met by a chuckle from the green haired phenom.

"I mean sure, but not for the reason of our mutual ties to Jer Bear Cruz and Beezlebob. Dude's honing in on the Fighting Spirit Championship, and I have to say, that's turf I'm lookin' to plant my flag on. If he wants to make it about me bein' represented by the Fun Devil or the powers that fueled the Lords of Salem, that's his business, but I don't see that bein' the case. He was all too eager to high tail it to the Neon Generation when his seals were broken or whatever."

Toby's mouth opens at the mention of NeonGIW, because he's evidently thought of a question.

"Is there any baggage from Neon Generation Independent Wrestling that we can expect to see here? I know it's where you got your start wrestling in major federations, and you two were there at the same time."

"Never had the pleasure of workin' with Zombie there, honestly. Really all that's puttin' us at odds at the moment is that we're competing for the same belt in the same match on ReVolt. If he decides to make things personal or mess with me, I'll revisit that assessment."

The finality of that statement prompts Toby to move on.

"Speaking of the Fighting Spirit Championship, what is the claim you're laying to it? Most of the other initial signees for the rumble are former holders or superstars in the company associated in some way with Stephen J. Eversol. You've barely ever been in a match with him."

Freakshow looks low key offended, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Look, I don't need to be a former title holder to embody what a Fighting Spirit Champion is, but let me remind you that I have the longest reign as Rising Champion in the company, and I took that belt out of obscurity and made it the prize it is today, regardless of whatever moron's associated with it now. Yeah, people like Gus Richlen and Eric Holland've been Fighting Spirit Champs before, and Zombie Black and Joe Stanton are fan favorites, but I'm a damn fan favorite too, even if I haven't been picking fights with the Coulter Crew directly."

"Well it is no secret that the Coulter Crew is a dominant force in Full Intensity Wrestling, and Stephen J. Eversol is one of the most dominant Fighting Spirit Champions we've ever seen."

Pausing for a moment, Freakshow cocks his head, obviously parsing his next statement.

"Look, I'm not sayin' the Crew ain't a force to be feared. I'm just sayin' they ain't what defines competition in this federation. They tweak some bells and whistles and get folks fired up, but going toe to toe with them does not a champion make. Kim Coulter's a ruthless manager, but I'd hate to be Eversol after he loses one of his straps in Belfast."

Toby's nodding along and decides to but in with a question.

"Have you ever considered petitioning the Crew for membership?"

That elicits a full on guffaw from Freakshow.

"And have to lick Kimmy C's pretty little boots and not for fun? Hell naw. Caleb Claudel and Rob Garcia are dumbasses deciding to scrounge their way into the Coulter Club or whatever brain damage Garcia's calling it these days. I'm the best managed talent in this company. My Ma and Bob have me covered from every angle I need covered from, and they do a damn fine job of it. So no, I haven't and wouldn't consider being one of Kim Coulter's rotating pack of lap dogs."

Toby has checked behind him, clearly waiting for Nathaniel Alexander or Darian Grey or someone from the Crew to manifest behind him for a beatdown. He's not too preoccupied, though, with pointing out a potential wrench in Freakshow's conviction.

"But you're in a Trios Match on the same side as both Stephen J. Eversol and Nathaniel Alexander on May 2nd against Johnny Amazing, Joe Stanton, and The Dream."

Freakshow rolls his eyes and huffs.

"Oh, I am well aware, and the bad blood between Dream, Johnny, and the Blue Label boys is what has me worried. Honestly, I'm interested in what Eversol might say to convince me not to accidentally miss a few of his tags so that he takes a beating by the time he gets into the Fighting Spirit Invitational."

Toby gasps.

"You wouldn't!"

"Have and will, bub. I'm also interested to get another crack at Joe Stanton. He got the best of me last time we tussled, and I'd like to turn the tables on him. Maybe after The Dream and Johnny Amazing beat on Alexander and Eversol me and Joe can have a good match that we've only seen once before."

Our dear little interviewer quickly verbally scampers away from the criticism of the Alexander/Amazing/Dream/Eversol booking...deal.

"And speaking of matches you want to have, you haven't spoken highly of Rob Garcia, even though he's our new Rising Champion. Are you looking for a rematch to possibly take that belt back?"

Freakshow smirks.

"Honestly, Tobes, the Rising Championship got me where I am today, and going back to it feels like stepping down. It was a great jumping off point, but I have bigger and meaner and, honestly, far smarter fish to fry than Robb Garcia. I mean, I wouldn't say no to puttin' a whuppin' on him, but I have a feeling he'll have his comeuppance as soon as Kim Coulter and her Club get tired of him and beat him like a baby seal. That said, I think we've covered everything you could probably think up, so I say we call this interview a wrap."

Toby nods his head in assent, and the promo ends.
