We are being graced by the presence of a champion! One half of the World Tag Team Champions in Caleb Claudel is standing by for an interview with none other than Samantha Rosenberg. The newest member of the Coulter Crew is dressed as we've come to expect him recently in black slacks, a black button up, along with a black jacket. The only splash of color in his wardrobe is the ice blue tie around his neck. Nice to see he's mixing it up.

"So! Caleb... I don't know how long it's been since we've last spoke with one another."

"Well, we're not really friends, are we."

Samantha reels, almost as if she was slapped with that answer, though Caleb says it with absolutely no malice whatsoever. He doesn't even ask it. It's simply delivered.

"Uh... n-no, I guess not."

Uncomfortable moment. Samantha tries to adjust and be professional.

"Congratulations on your World Tag Team title victory! That makes you a four-time tag team champion here in FIW! Obviously one of the most decorated tag team champions behind your current partner Clay Krueger and Catherine Neville."

"Yes. By all means, bore me with the details of others. That is what we are here for.""

I think that's sarcasm, but Caleb speaks with the same even tone that it's hard to tell. Samantha can gather, though. She takes a breath and is obviously struggling to muster forward.

"Right. So, congratulations. It must be kind of difficult-"

She abruptly stops speaking at the look she receives from Caleb. It's literally just a look. His eyes flit to her and she finds herself unable to speak for a moment.

"Not difficult. Different. It must be different being champion with Clay Krueger rather than Harley."

That's not really a question, but Samantha seems to want Caleb's response to it so she waits. Caleb doesn't speak. He doesn't really register the statement for a long moment. Long enough that Samantha opens her mouth to speak again.

"This isn't a Brick Sharks interview, Samantha. Let's remember that in the future to avoid wasting my time as we are right now."

Okey dokey! Samantha nods slowly.

"Right. Uh... you can call me Sam, though."

Caleb just watches her as if that didn't even happen. Samantha stands awkwardly in his sights, shifting slightly.

"We're burning daylight hours, Samantha."

She fumbles into a repetitive and apologetic nod.

"Yes! Sorry! Uh... congratulations again on your-"

"Can we please move past the incessant celebration? I assure you that I have already celebrated my accomplishment with company far more desirable than yours."

Ouch. Samantha feels that sting but she's a trooper.

"Sorry. Um, this week you're teaming with Clay and Darian to take on the Alpha Wolves, who you beat for the titles, as well as Keith Williams. Your thoughts on... um, the match?"

Caleb sighs and rolls his eyes.

"Well, I see why they keep such an intelligent and insightful woman such as yourself on the payroll."

He extends his hand towards her and Samantha withdraws from it initially. She stares down at his hand, then looks up at him and shakes her head with confusion. Caleb sights and plucks the microphone from her hand.

"My thoughts on the Alpha Wolves shouldn't be a grand revelation. I spoke fairly in depth about them and proved everything I said when I took their titles from them. They are and have been and always will be a non-issue when it comes to the Crew. They may have their moment in the sun here or there, but as my proficient tag team partner pointed out last week, they will never capitalize upon anything they accomplish. That in itself makes their fleeting moments irrelevant."

Samantha is listening intently. So intently that she's sort of leaning in to better listen to the words he speaks quietly, even into the microphone. Caleb glances in her direction and something in his eyes causes her to back pedal a whole step.

"As far as Keith Williams is concerned..."

This is a scoop! Samantha can't help but lean back in as he prolongs the topic. Thanks to the step she took a moment ago, it's not so up in his space so she looks safe.

"Many won't know this, but I was handpicked to represent FIW at Rise of a Legend. That is, until Keith Williams came sniffing back around like the stray cat no one missed. Suddenly, Orion Oldriod decides that Keith Williams should represent FIW against the Coulter Crew. And look how that turned out for him."

Is that a smile from Caleb Claudel? The faintest raise of one corner of his lips almost seems to be there, and then it's gone.

"That's fine. Orion did not want me on his team, but there was a team that was very interested in me. A team that saw more in me than the random wheel of opponent matches that I was being dealt. I was a three-time World Tag Team Champion. I was part of the most popular tag team in this company. You couldn't step out into any arena without seeing Brick Sharks signs. Our merchandise moved more than some of the so-called top guys."

I assure you that Samantha is considering jumping in to point out how this isn't a Brick Sharks interview. But she's kind of afraid of Caleb right now.

"But what did that mean when the Brick Sharks became just Caleb? I was used and discarded by this company's management. It was a bitter pill to swallow and I realized that is not who Caleb Claudel is. I am not a convenient medium to be used for ticket sales and moving merchandise. The team I belonged with saw me as much more than that. And it is thanks to my two partners this week - Clay Krueger and Darian Gray - for recognizing that. It is thanks to Kim Coulter for seeing something in me that management chose to squander. Less than a week with the Coulter Crew and I am in a World Tag Team title match. One week with the Coulter Crew and I am World Tag Team Champion again."

He looks down at the title over his shoulder and he doesn't show any kind of joy or pride in it. Yet, his words imply that he is both joyful and prideful of his accomplishment.

"Who is Keith Williams? A man with a checked past, a spotty record, and the man who failed FIW at Rise of a Legend. So, I have a question for you, Samantha."

She startles at her name being dropped. She honestly thought Caleb forgot she was there.

"How did choosing Keith Williams over Caleb Claudel work out for Orion Oldriod?"

He extends the microphone back to Samantha and she looks terrified to take it. But she reluctantly does so.

"Um... not good?"

That's definitely a smile from Caleb, or at least the most we will get out of him these days. The corner of his lips curl just the slightest.

"That's all."

He strides out of the interview without another word, leaving Samantha to let out a breath she didn't even realize she was holding.
